I had the lite meal Chicken with Broccoli. The brown sauce had no flavor, I discarded it. The chicken and broccoli had no flavor. I know it's a lite meal, but still..

Excellent service both over the phone and at the storefront. Very accommodating. The food is your standard Chinese-American fare, as good as that gets. I was surprised at the sheer quantity of soup I received; I expected half of what was packaged. I'm new to the areas, and I'm very pleased to have found China Wok for my Chinese food delivery and take-away needs.

They aren't true to their deliveries as stated. I live in villas at Houston levee and was told the order had to be at least $30 for them to deliver.

Shame on us for not getting up, and going out. Besides the reasonable delivery time, our meal was a bust. We ordered Pineapple Chicken, and Sesame Chicken, which turned out to be balls of deep fried batter in mediocre sauces. That's not entirely fair, a few pieces had dried, stringy bits of what might have been meat. We also ordered chicken fried rice which was blah, unless you like boiled chicken in your FRIED rice. The best item was our appetizer, the Crab Rangoon, we were very disappointed. It was very over priced for the quality in our opinion, and we don't ever have to have it again.

Like others have said, this place is low on glamour and is really best as a carry out place. Also listen to everyone else when they say to skip the fried rice here, it's very meh. That said, the entrees are good. I really appreciate a place that can serve sweet and sour chicken that has a light crispness without rubberizing the chicken. I'm also a big fan of the moo-shiu pork. My family has gotten takeout dinner here many times and its very reasonably priced. They also have $4.95 lunch special with a wide variety of options, I appreciate they make a drink a side option. I can't even get a combo meal at most fast food places for $5.

My family was craving Chinese, and of course no one wanted to drive, ok let's face it it was just pure laziness lol. We found china wok and were so excited for delivery!! The lady that I spoke to on the phone was very nice and patient while I got everyone's order, which I appreciated. It did take an hour to be delivered, but since it was a Friday that's totally understandable. The food was good but just good. I felt like I definately didn't get my bang for my buck. Maybe in a few months well give it another shot, but it wasn't really anything to special

I wouldn't know how their food is. I wanted delivery, but they don't answer their phone. It is Thursday night about 6:30 PM. If I get through and the food is delivered on time and is decent, I'll edit this review.

One of, if not the only place, in Cordova that delivers Chinese. Generally gets the order right. Prompt delivery

Not the cleanest place. (a terrible way to start a review, but true). It also seems to be the only place in Memphis to get good Chinese food. I usually go with the Mongolian combo, its outstanding. Very Spartan on the inside, and could probably use a wash (we call that "seasoning" where Im from.) There are locations close by that serve Asian-style food like Rain, and Thai Bistro, but the food I have here is always cheaper, and usually just as good. I can't give it four or five stars cause of the cleaniness, but it might deserve it

I like this place. Yeah, it's spartan, but like some other reviewers said, this is mainly a takeout place. The staff is incredibly friendly for a place like this. They are quick and instead of bags, they put your food trays into a box. It's much easier to carry a large load of food home this way. The General Tso's wasn't very spicy, but their sesame chicken was spot on. Everything I've ordered from this place was good. I never noticed a cleanliness problem here, but I'm usually only there long enough to pay for my food and carry it out.

We ordered delivery from this place 4 times so far. Our delivery is always within the time frame they give us. Usually 45 min to an hour. We have tried the sesame chicken, fried chicken, chicken low mein, sweet &sour chicken, orange chicken, boneless spare ribs, wonton soup, egg drop soup, general tso, chicken & broccoli, and egg rolls. I would recommend the seasame chicken, chicken & broccoli, sweet &sour chicken, and orange chicken. The fried chicken and egg rolls were too greasy for me. I ordered white rice with my meals and hubby got fried rice, he loved it. I didn't care for either soup. I am a fan of this place, but since we are now settled in our home we will not be ordering again for a while.

Good brown sauce. General tso's is half decent. Horrible fried rice. It's yellow. I hate yellow fried rice. Super quick delivery. Like where did my food come from scary fast. My wife had the lite menu broccoli and chicken which she always gets. Steamed broccolli and steamed chicken. That's it. She loves it. Brown sauce on side which she doesn't eat and i wind up dipping everything in. I cannot get over the yellow fried rice. it must supposed to look fried but in reality is steamed. I don't get it. A wok/ or flat top griddle, steamed white or brown rice, soy sauce, onions, eggs, meat, diced bell pepper or peas and/or green onion, and butter or better yet garlic butter mixed together. Cook until color is to your fancy. How hard is that? What are we suppose to be fooled by the color? Any way my rant is over. Skip the place unless it's the only delivery around you. Then just don't get the fried rice.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
