Only one complaint, we want them to move to our neighborhood. A little hidden, awesome food we were a party of 5 we all had something different from a cornmeal pancake topped with pulled pork, coleslaw, and barbecue sauce, to grilled cheese with tomatoes, then the most amazing pie ( CHESS PIE) ordered 1 to share and had to order another because the first person who took a bite kept it for herself. Whenever we come to visit my daughter and her family this place will be a regular stop for us. You have to check it out.

The decor is nice. I was surprised when I walked in. The price isn't too expensive; meat with 3 sides and a bread with a glass of water is $7.67. I came from a small town that had a similar set up; good country cooking with decent prices. However, when the food was delivered the chicken strips were about the size of my ring finger and there were only 3. Each side item was portioned, small, and was very bland. I would eat here again, just because it is different than all the fast food around here; if someone else was to open another place similar with better portions and food with taste this place would be out of business.

This was one of the few places that we could find that locally offered southern cooking. From the outside it doesn't look like much (it looks like it used to be a DQ) but the inside is out of this world. Our waitress was as sweet as the tea. True southern hospitality. I had the squash casserole, fried green tomatoes and turnip greens along with my entree. My biggest regret is that I was too full for one of the home made desserts! Much better than one of those clone chains with McDonald's like processed food. Don't miss this one!! It's great!!

Pleasant surprise. Hole in the wall right off the highway. Saw the yelp reviews and decided to try it Great country fried steak for me and salad for my wife. Really doesn't look like much, picture old fast food restaurant. Homemade food was excellent. Service was friendly and quick.

Stopped in on a whim and Yelp recommendations. Glad I did. Good down home cooking. Had some beef liver and onions. Awesome with squash casserole.

Old School Meat and Three Goodness You will find yourself peeking in the kitchen looking for your Memaw. She ain't there, but man does this taste like the chicken she fried up in a cast iron skillet back when the world was a more innocent place. But now you find yourself hungover, trying to make it back to Nashville and put the last evenings transgressions miles behind you. Pull off on the Cookeville exit, sit down and enjoy. Memaw forgives you.

Absolutely delicious. My fiancé and I were hungry and looking for some good down home country cooking on our way home. The menu has different options for each day of the week. The menu was full of southern classics. The portions were big and filling. Service was fantastic and desert was good too. They make all deserts fresh.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Great prices for families traveling with kids. Fed 5 and split two desserts for under 50. Everything must be made fresh because it all tasted like home.
