Excellent light and fluffy corn cakes--not sweet. The peel and eat shrimp were superb along with the horseradish cocktail sauce. Great service in the bar. Definitely will come back...

Firstly, it was late lunch and very quiet. Plenty of employees working. It seemed, however, that we were being an inconvenience from the get go. "We only have tables." -host "ok, we will take a table..." -me. And then no response as he walked away with two menus. Oh, I guess we are supposed to follow him! The food was fine, but toooootttalllyyy overpriced. We got barbecued wings as an appetizer and they weren't even as good as Buffalo Wild Wings? Could have been a microwave meal for all I know. My salad was essentially a Dole mixed salad from a bag with cut up kid chicken fingers on it. 12 dollars? K. My boyfriend had the chipotle turkey club, which he enjoyed. Our total was 29?something and I gave her $40, hoping to get change I could tip her with. She gave me $10 cash back. How am I supposed to tip with that? Truly she can't think that she should get a 10$ tip? Nothing makes me more angry than a presumptuous waiter or waitress, especially when my kindness exceeded theirs by a mile until the bill was actually due...

The Legends in Columbia is going downhill. We ordered the shrimp jammer appetizer which looked good but when you bit into it the shrimp was not cooked and cool like it was cooked frozen. They took it off the check, I had the Kings Crown sandwich and there was more bread than meat but it was good the smahed potatoes were very good. My wifes salad had too much dressing and there was mold on the bread. The people next to us took 40 minutes to get there food the woman's bread was moldy and her sons chicken tenders were not cooked properly, The manager was over there a while as they were upset, There obviously is no quality control in the kitchen before they send the food out. Our server Kacie B. was friendly and it was not her fault but we will not be returning anytime soon.

Slow service, over priced, less than mediocre food, expected way more in a steak and prime rib from a place named legends. Will not go back

What can I say the reason for only 3 stars was my waitress. Either she was new or she had not slowed down from the evening rush. I will give her the benefit of doubt. And go with she was new, She was polite and eager. Just a little to eager. I felt like I was being rushed. Eating alone I use the time to check emails, news etc. The manager I do believe was busy walking through restaurant . The unfortunate part was he was communicating with staff about what needs to be done. Not time or place. Although this won't stop me from eating here. Food was alright. Steak was cooked to my liking the first time, YES! Rare! The price was acceptable. I would defiantly eat here again!

Don't know what the complains were. Great food, had the blue agave margarita. Prime rib delicious.

In town for work. Food is great..service not so much! Our server didn't know if Cabernet was white or red and didn't know which beers were dark vs. Light when asked for a recommendation. One water and one tea were brought out quickly but took 5-10 minutes for alcoholic beverages. I had the Cajun salmon with a shrimp skewer ... Rolls were buttery and soft, salad was decent size and entree was delicious! Wish the service lived up.

Great lunch specials! I love stopping here for lunch. My favorite days are Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday's lunch special is their Smoky Mountain meatloaf with two vegetables. I don't usually like anyone else's meatloaf but this is really good. It has a very unique flavor. Thursday's lunch special is fried pork chops with two vegetables and they are perfectly cooked every time. You can get these lunch specials for $5.99. What a deal! The service is always great. We are usually able to get in and out in an hour as long as everyone orders from the lunch menu.

Sad to say, but I am about over this place. The service is always poor without fail. Every. Single. Time. We have tried to give them plenty of chances, but I think we are done for good.

This place is your run of the mill steak house. The food is pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I usually order the salmon Orleans or grilled salmon, and the salmon is almost always over cooked. I've been there with a steak eating friend who order hers medium and it ended up being pretty well done. I will give the spinach casserole and the sweet potato a two thumbs up, though. The service is fair most of the time. Good place for a dinner out with family and friends.

Service is excellent & food is ok A porterhouse for $20 can't be beat unless its a thin slice. The NY strip looked really good. The infomercials on local tv brought me in, but it's unlikely I'll be back. Two steak dinners and 2 glasses of wine for less the $55 w/o tip is a deal. YMMV

You'll definitely be glad you read this review. I had dinner there tonight (5/14/11) and ordered the Porterhouse. The server was not sociable or friendly to me but was to other tables around; perhaps they're regulars. As an out-of-town guest, I was not the least bit impressed with her service. I've eaten at a number of other steakhouse type places, including many of the national franchise chains. I went to Legends on the recommendation of the hotel front desk, but I regret it. I should have stayed with Logans in Spring Hill. It would have been much much better. My steak was awful. The thing tasted like it had been marinated in ketchup for two days before it was cooked. I suspect they don't clean the grill and probably slather their ribs with some kind of ketchup based sauce, or that they use that same sauce to get sear on the steaks. Tasted horrible. I choked it back and quickly got out of there. If you want comparatives, here's where I've had steak before, from the top-shelf places on down to the run-of-the-mill: -Ruth Chris -Flemings -Texas Roadhouse -Outback -Lone Star -Logans ANY of those serves a better tasting, higher quality cut of meat than Legends. Stick with Logans in Spring Hill nearby--you'll be glad you did.

Had the powerhouse steak. It was decent and the price was good. Their hot butter roll are pretty good.

This is a great place to go for prime rib and a nice dinner when visiting Columbia. Service is great and for the most part, the food is great as well. However, if you like your prime rib rare, arrive early, because it goes fast.
