The restaurant has a lovely family atmosphere. The portions are very generous. Our server was very professional . We enjoyed the breD with the seasoned olive oil . The Italian chicken soup is well seasoned and appears to be made in house. The Caesar salad was fresh with a tasty dressing. The chicken parmesan was prepared correctly. The chicken with goats cheese and sundries tomato was well balanced in seasoning.

This location wasn't nearly as good as the one on Poplar. Maybe the menu has changed? I know this place is a chain, so I'd expect them to be consistent, but this was decent, nothing special, and the other is exceptionally good. I ordered the pizza with basil. It came out wrong, but they corrected the problem promptly. The service was alright. Nothing out of the ordinary. The olive oil seasoning isn't as good as the stuff I make at home. We also had the spinach and cheese fondue appetizer. This was pretty bland. Nothing special about it. For the price, nowhere near worth it, and goes way better with pita chips than with the foccacia they serve it with.

My wife and I went here with a group of friends on Sunday night. The food was pretty atypical for a chain Italian restaurant. We tried the new Arancini (Rice balls with sausage topped with marinara sauce), and they were just okay. My wife ordered the grilled chicken with sauteed spinach, and I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo Weesie with Shrimp. The grilled chicken was amazing! It was cooked perfectly, not dry, and have a great smoky flavor to it. The Fettuccine Alfredo Weesie was not bad, but nothing to write home about. The service was terrible. Our waitress seemed to be overwhelmed by our party of 7, and our drinks took forever! My wife and I will be back as Carrabba's is a cheap meal and is close to home.

As far as Italian goes, I guess it is on par with Olive Garden, but that's not saying much. I ordered the veal marsala, which came with soup or salad and a choice of vegetables. I opted for the chicken soup. It tasted like canned, except that it had small pieces of chicken bones in it. It was too salty. The veal marsala was just ok. For the price, the serving size of the protein was too small. I got 3 small 1/4 inch thick pieces of veal that were about the size of half a deck of cards each. The sauce had too much of a raw alcohol flavor and I would swear the mushrooms were canned. The green beans were slightly overdone and bland. Service was kind of weird. We were served by a different server each time something was delivered and whenever the water was refilled (which if I may add was not very often). Our main server... or at least the one who gave us the check and took the order was a bit aloof and didn't seem all that interested in being there. He was more than content to chat with coworkers around the register, which was in direct line of sight of our table.

Not a bad place but the lights are down so low that I can hardly see the menu. The food was great. If I had one of these in my home town I would go again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
