It is nice to go to a Chinese restaurant which isn't a buffet. All of our food was fresh and delicious. My Egg foo young was great. I also got the Chicken Chop Suey. I cannot remember the last time I went to a place which still serves it. It was perfect, could have had a few more bean sprouts but absolutely perfect.

I'm going to update my review just to say that, 5 years later, my sentiment about Kim San is still the same! For as long as they keep dishing up giant bowls of delicious hot & sour soup and providing awesome, friendly service, I'm sure my family and I will show up to partake. Side note: I've loved this place as long as I can remember and it's funny to now see my young niece and nephews request Kim San for their special occasion/Sunday dinners/remedy for a cold (because Kim San soup cures all ails). Their family business has created one of our family traditions. Pretty cool!

Not impressed at all. The egg drop soup did not have much flavor and the rice had a dirty flavor.

I was told that this was one of the original Asian restaurants in the area, and that it was worth a try. The decor was quite pleasing, and the service was very good. The food unfortunately was the same level that you would get at a mall food court. This is not a business I'll be visiting again, and not one I would recommend. The food was quite edible though, portion was large, and the price, even with a generous tip for the excellent service, was under ten dollars. In summary, if you've never been, it's worth a try, but you may not like your dish.

The place has nice traditional Chinese decor, but I will say I noticed the whole place overall to be rather filthy, there was also crumbs in the carpet, specially by where they sat me. Very dusty. I started with a nice cup of Wonton Soup, at first I thought it was a little lukewarm for my taste, but nevertheless after I stirred it up a bit it was good, good taste. Wasn't crazy about the wonton though, texture tasted a bit pre-made. My main entrée was made with chicken, a brown sauce and mixed with vegetables. The chicken had a strong unfortunate taste, and while part of the chicken was tender, oddly enough some of the chicken was rough. Again, this was made with chicken breast, not something you'd expect. Sauce was also rather thick, clearly taken out of some pre-existing container; not the best feeling. I had to return it, and stuck to more Wonton Soup and an egg-roll for the rest of the evening. Egg-roll turned out over-fried and oily. Same for the accompanying fried wontons. I will leave you with this thought though, service was truly gracious. That earned them a whole star. Sadly not a #recommendation.

I went here Friday night with my boyfriend after a coworker recommended it to me. We ordered chicken sizzling rice soup and fried wontons as our appetizers and were very pleased with them. The soup especially was delicious. For our main courses we ordered Mongolian beef and teriyaki chicken, both of which were tasty and full of meat and veggies. We also ordered combination lo-meign (spelled wrong I'm assuming) but we didn't really enjoy it. The noodles were kind of slimy and it tasted a little off. Next time we will just get fried rice with our meal. But all in all it was a nice meal

Good portions of food, great sauces. The egg rolls were not great but the lemon chicken was really good!

Good Chinese place. Typical decor, lighting, etc. Good service and food, so far. This was my first visit ever. For a sit-down, non buffet style Chinese place, I would say this fits the bill.

My husband introduced me to Kim San when I move to Cleveland about 8 years ago. It is our favorite Chinese restaurant and the ONLY one we eat at. They are very nice, the food is always good and fresh and one of the ladies is playful with my 4 year old.

W e ordered take out one night. The food was hot, which is good. The egg rolls were good. I got the shrimp w/ snow pea pods and I wasn't impressed. My husband got the shrimp Lo Mein and said it was very bland tasting. We also got shrimp fried rice, the kids liked it cause they were hungry it was alright, not my favorite though. I felt it was a little over priced as well. The lady wasn't very friendly either. The place seamed clean. One guy told me after I ordered to get the sweet and sour chicken next time he says its great.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly.
