Went for dinner on Saturday night, it wasn't too busy. My boyfriend ordered Pollo Loco and I got number 6 combo. The salsa was so spicy I couldn't even eat it. The chips tasted pretty stale. I don't like how they serve them either, no jar of salsa. Especially when they don't bring you more or ask if you'd like more chips and salsa. The food wasn't very good. I thought the Pollo Loco was a very small portion for $9. My taco was bland and has no flavor. The red sauce on the enchilada was brown and my boyfriend said tasted like cinnamon. Beans were good. But I think this is the only Mexican place in town that puts all kinds of weird vegetables in their rice (even with the Pollo Loco). It has carrots, peas, potatoes, and more in it. Not my thing. Service was so-so. Waiter didn't really check up on us or ask if we needed anything. Margaritas were pretty good too. I would much rather go to Las Mas or La Altena.

Growing up on the border of Mexico, I like real Mexican food. But being vegan means finding a good place that serves quality Mexican without relying on cheese to cover up a bland dish. El Cazadors fits the bill for me. First...loved the salsa. Tasted better than most of the stuff that is way too bland. Still not a chunky salsa... but for a tomato sauce salsa, the flavor was very good. Not very spicy (but yes, spicier than a lot of the bland stuff they call salsa here in Tennessee). The warm basket of chips was fine... as it worked to deliver the salsa. They brought out replacements chips and salsa when we near the bottom. I enjoyed a nice cold Negro Modello which came with a lime wedge. Place was PACKED on an early Friday night. Almost every table was full and parking was a jammed too. Service was fine. They do have a vegetarian section of the large menu, which was not as good for us as most of the items had cheese (not vegan) but a few items stood out, and we also noted other items on the menu that were not on the vegetarian section. Wife ordered a bean and rice burrito, quac on top with red sauce. I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas, hold the cheese and hold the sour scream. To my surprise, the enchilada was dry... as in no sauce. And in flour tortillas. Weird! Maybe there was a misunderstanding? Not sure, but the salsa was good on it. The insides were excellent. Smoky grilled taste onions, spinach, and assorted veggies. Served with a good rice and lettuce/tomato. Not sure what the point of lettuce tomato is on the side, but I ate it. I liked that the rice had some veggies and some potato in it. Not plain! The bean and rice burrito was good too. Wife was happy. Prices were reasonable and it looks like they have a good happy hour for margaritas. We need to come back. Note: They have a drive thru, but it is only for pick up of phoned in orders. Inside when full can be a little loud and crazy. You pay at the cashier.

Ate here for the first time and I had the pollo loco. It was good, tastes the same as other places. I do like the salsa because it is spicy and the service was good and fast. They have great happy hour deals on drinks.

Best mexican food we have found since our move to Chattanooga. Clean and reasonably priced. I love the Pollo parilla.

My first visit to this Mexican restaurant. I was surprised at at several things. Reasonable prices, happy hour, 95 cent hard taco special on Mondays, fast service, and busy on a Monday night. Also, I can't believe I haven't been here. Features; they have TVs, decorations and sign specials on walls and hanging from ceiling, and really pleasant dining room. The service was fast. Everybody that works here seems to only know stuff on the menu as far as the English language concerned. Oh, of course only know the main words needed to check you out. Waitress keeps coming by asking "you doing ok". menu items ordered: 3 hard tacos for 95 cents each, sweet tea with meal and for desert ( 20oz draft of cider boys). They have an extensive menu with appetizers, nachos, salads, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, combinations, and even a vegetarian section on their menu. They also have deserts like fried ice cream, cheesecake, chocolate cake, and even a banana burrito which I never heard of before ever.

The food is ok - drive to Chattanooga for good Mexican food. Service is typically slow, but the restaurant is clean.

Waited 5 minutes to before even being acknowledged and was greeted with "there are no tables." A table opened up after 10 mins and we were seated. The waiter came over and did not even greet us. After ordering from a menu that was hard to follow and with too many items, the food for our party of 3 came out 5 minutes apart. The food was about the same as every other Mexican place in Cleveland. Poor service and mediocre food gives this place two stars. Next time I'll just go to tres hermonos. Also I am writing this while waiting for the check. Very poor service.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever had anywhere. Waited over 30 minutes for our food. Had to ask 3 times over one hour for our check while we were having a beer and talking with friends. Finally got up and went to the register and told them to ring me up. While waiting for them to ring me up I noticed their employees siting around eating and talking with each other instead of taking care of their customers. As my friends got up to go pay at the register since they wouldn't bring the check one of the waiters accused them of trying to leave without paying. Food was ok which is why I have 2 instead of 1 star. I'll never go back.

I love this place! It is the best Mexican restaurant in Cleveland. Always clean, great service, and food/drinks are to die for. They know what they're doing.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
