I was elated to see Smokey Bones. My daughter and I would eat at the one in Springfield, MO at least one a week until they shut down. We were so devastated, when my husband & moved to Lake Mary, FL we found one down their & enjoyed until we moved away. They always have great food & fast friendly service. I would highly recommended.

I love Smokey Bones! The food is always delicious and now they have lemonades a with blueberry beads in them. The are awesome, suck them up through the straw and the explode on your mouth. And the best part of Smokey Bones other than the BBQ, huge tvs for sports and great drinks..... Wait for it..... The bag of donuts which come with strawberry and chocolate dipping sauces!! ( strawberry is the best!). This is a must visit when you are in Chattanooga!! Bonus: our waitress was awesome and fast!!

The newspaper keeps putting out these $10 off when you spend $20 coupons. I save them every time I see them and finally used one last night. It was pretty good. I don't know if I'd give four stars if I didn't have that generous coupon. I had the you pick two meats for $14.99. I had pulled pork and sliced turkey-both pretty good. The side of fire roasted corn was good and the dirty rice was ok. My wife got the veggie burger and said it was good. It looked like the typical frozen patty you buy at the store though. They stacked it two high since the patties aren't that big so we both thought that was a nice touch. I'll continue to pull these coupons out of the paper and will go back as long as I have one.

I went here for my birthday and had a blast! The staff is a ton of fun & the drinks are amazing. I tried many of them and only disliked a one-- not the bartender's fault, just my bad choices. All in all I would definitely come back again!

Stopped in at 10pm with hardly anyone in the place to place my order for take-out. The initial service was good but after waiting I was told that they were out of beef brisket. Ok, I changed my order and the waitress brings it to me rather quickly. I go back to my hotel and find no utensils nor napkins but worse the food gives a new definition to BLAND! OMG, I wasted $19 on a combo that tasted like the food had been boiled. Needless to say, I will not EVER return here!!!!!!!!

First off, the atmosphere. The place has a strange log cabin meets O'Charleys feel. Their giant banners with quotes about BBQ and pigs almost seemed to clash with the classy rustic theme they were pushing. Hostess and waitress were fantastic. My waitress was friendly and attentive without being pushy (I'm sorry I can't remember your name). Food. Ok, heres we're I get annoyed. We flip through the menu and see that the real entrees are all priced around $12-$13. Suddenly I raise my standards a little bit. I've seen a previous review of the BBQ chicken so thats what I pick up with loaded potatoes and baked beans. My fiance chooses the fish n chips. When they arrive my heart sinks a little. I had seen previous customers with very large plates so my hopes were going for portion size. I felt betrayed. The sides come in tiny bowls on a very large plate.Disregarding what was actually there, I don't understand how an owner can think that presentation is a good idea. It makes your portions seem so much smaller. The previous reviewer spoke about getting half a rotisserie chicken. I don't know if something was going on that day but I received two legs on my plate. From a very small chicken. Thinking back I'm sure this is due in no small part to the fact the waitress asked me If i wanted white or dark meat. I'd have never made the choice had i realize it dictated my portion. The meat itself was ...food. It was covered in a strong but thin coat of BBQ sauce that seemed to tear apart like paper. Underneath that the chicken was naked pale and flavorless. The baked beans, as someone previously put, were drowning in brown sugar. It was overwhelming and I couldn't eat more than a bite at a time. The loaded potatoes were pretty good, but it bears the question "Why must I pay an upcharge for access to the sides that taste ok?" In case you've never looked at their menu "Normal Sides"a.k.a boring or bland sides, are $2. "Premium Sides" aka equivalent to the normal sides applebys serves, are $3. Why not strive to make all of your sides "Premium"? In closing. My fiances fish was delicious. Phenomenal even. The cole-slaw he received as well. Probably the best coleslaw I've ever had and I generally HATE cole-slaw. We both finished our meals completely and I still felt a bit hungry. Bill came out to be 19$ a piece with a cheap beer. Which left me wondering, "Why am I paying nice sit-down restaurant prices for family chain restaurant quality."

We got fried pickles and loaded nachos. Let me begin by saying the loaded nachos were not loaded. The salsa was just canned tomatoes with onion and cilantro, and the queso if you are lucky enough (or should I say unlucky) is canned cheese. Absolutely no flavor. This was the worst place I have eaten at in a very long time. I am leaving here hungry and u satisfied because I could not bring myself to finish eating this "food"

This location has some excellent BBQ. Plenty of parking is available in site. Indoor and outdoor seating options are available, and they stay open quite late. The smoked wings are excellent (hopefully they'll allow the wings to be tossed in sauce before being grilled in the future - why they stopped this practice j don't know). Entrees are filling, and you're likely to have some leftovers. The brown sugar rub on either cut of the ribs is spectacular. The food here is usually well prepared, and fall-off-the-bone tender. As with other local BBQ restaurants, the sauce variety will keep your whole party happy. There are several yummy options for sides as well, though the meats are the chain's strong suit. Fair warning- parties of more than four adults (or four adults plus kids especially) may find seating challenging. The kids' menu has plenty of options and is also entertaining.

My family of 6 stayed over in Chattanooga on our way to Florida. We were very hungry after our 10 hour drive. The only issue I had was when we asked the waitress what the Specials were or what she would recommend she gave us nothing, she said she didn't eat there and she's heard it's all good. We ended up getting the ribs, smokey wings and brisket. My eldest so got a burger that was HUGE! Normally he can eat a burger without problem, but he had leftovers. My smokey wings and slow cooked sausage was wonderfully seasoned and hot upon service. My husbands ribs were very meaty and flavored. The brisket was a little dry for our taste. I also ordered a side of spiced apples that were incredible! We definitely would go back!

Tonight my girlfriend and I stopped in to have an above average BBQ dinner. I order the brisket platter and my girlfriend order the nachos. Within five minutes of the order the waitress came out with our food, so I'm thinking microwave warm. The portions were so small I thought I order off the kids menu. The chef did come out to address the issues and saw immediately that the presentation was wrong. The waitress did not even bring out everything and I had to ask twice for chives on my potato. My girlfriend's nachos were cold, basically pile the chips, throw some toppings on and microwave it. The chef did send out more brisket for me, which was nice, but I could not eat all of it cause it was so dry. I'm thinking freezer burn. The atmosphere became cold and the waitress was just trying to get us out at that point. They did not charge me for the brisket, I still gave a descent tip for no hard feelings. I won't be returning, Smokey Bones needs to up there game and be unique in there service, cause there is plenty competition in the area that does it better.

We decided to stop in for dinner since we haven't been to this location and we wanted to eat. The atmosphere is a mix of sports bar, Applebee's, and mountain cabin. We visited around 8 PM and we were seated right away which was nice. The hostess was plant and helpful although she did linger around our table while our waiter was taking to us, rude. The waiter, Blake, was great. He was very fun, helpful, good attitude and made the experience positive. He recommended the wings and they were great. I'm sure we'll eat here again sometime.

Just returned from having dinner at a place I always remember being very dependable for decent quality BBQ .....that is when it used to be in Alpharetta, Ga just North of Atlanta. That location was always crowded yet their store was ultimately closed. I now think I have a clue as to why. Several months ago I went to one in Greensboro, NC and left very disappointed. Today, I ended up in a hotel while on business that was just down the street so I figured I'd give them one more chance at this location in Chattanooga. I ordered the two meat combo and chose brisket and smoked sliced turkey. The food came out within about two minutes (almost too fast....which makes me question any restaurant's food prep unless I'm at a fast food joint). I mean at least make it long enough to make me think you are putting some effort into preparing a plate. The turkey was great however the brisket was extremely fatty to the point of almost slimy. I had to ask for water refills and was never asked if everything was okay or not. The meal was $14.99 which was way over priced for the rather small portions as well. $10.99 would have been much more appropriate. Sorry Smokey Bones but you have definitely lost your mojo. I won't be returning to any locations again.

Great BBQ, Brisket and Fish Taco's! Very large bar area..perfect for watching a game or taking the family out. Feels like a "franchise" on the inside but it..so, that can be expected. Service is decent..nothing to write home about Cold beer and yummy bbq! As good as it gets!

Excellent menu to select from. The Cuban sandwich is unbelievable and the brisket is awesome. The service is slow but friendly and it can be very expensive to get your BBQ fix at this place....but it is really good food

Note: don't get their Mac and cheese items: Really really bad. Great place to come for some good BBQ. I've read some reviews and it surprises me that people had a bad experience here. Perhaps it's because I get the same thing every time. I get their BBQ chicken which is half a rotisserie chicken covered in their BBQ sauce. You can also get two sides with your entree. I would suggest that you get their mashed potatoes or fries. BBQ beans are okay but if you're already getting BBQ related food, I would recommend you get something else. It tastes exactly like the BBQ beans you can get from any grocery stores. Their smoked wings are also excellent. You can either order 8 pieces or 16 that you can choose from about 5-6 flavors. Their Garlic Parmesan smoked wings were great. This place has always been consistent with their quality of the chicken. I recommend you get their BBQ chicken when you visit. You will not regret it. It's juicy inside out and the BBQ covered skin is delicious.

Only giving this place 2 stars because the sever was nice. After 4 hours of driving - we decided to rest our tired bones at smokey bones and sit down for a good hearty meal. This was an impulse choice based on the lack of cars in the parking lot and near starvation after being in the car for so long. About 10 minutes into our visit we knew exactly why the parking lot was so empty during lunch hour near a mall. The "fried pickles" were in edible. This is quite the statement considering how hungry we were. We left half of them sitting on the paper basket waiting for the server to unceremoniously remove them to the garbage. I had pulled pork and BBQ beans. I promise you this pork tasted like it came from one of those prepackaged Bettie's you find at the local grocery and the beans were drowning in brown sugar. I couldn't finish my meal - even in my famished state - because I just couldn't handle putting any more of that "food stuff" in my mouth. I imagine all of their food is trucked in frozen and waiting on someone to microwave it before plopping it on your table. Don't waste your time or money and next time when the parking lot is empty - that a pretty good indicator of what your meal will be like. Note to self.

One of my favorites in Chattanooga. You have three good choices for BBQ. Famous Daves across the street or Sticky Fingers. All good depending on the type your looking for. This place has the best Bake Beans and bread to go with the meal. Plus Sports on the tube in every direction.

Best rib-kinda-joint in Chatt there is. Everything I've had has been great. Ribs, brisket, bbq, sauces, and especially the cole slaw and baked beans. Well hell, now I'm hungry. Happy hour from 4-6pm and 9pm+ I believe. Includes all appetizers half-off. Not sure if Fri-Sun are included on the 4-6 timeframe. Pretty sure they have some College football, Sunday NFL, and Monday Night Football specials as well. Only improvements I see would be to replace the vacuum tube tvs with flat panels.

Food was very late, no service, very cold place, asked for plates as we told the waiter i would share with my 3 yr old, never got them. The place was way too cold. My husband never wears a jacket even in cold weather but he was freezing there! When we asked the waiter, he said they make it cold because staff run around and get hot!! We had 2 small children and got our food after people who walked in after us. To the point that they felt bad and asked their waitress why we had to wait with 2 kids. We ordered pasta and it was terrible. We will never be there.
