So, a few things . . . 5 Stars for the fact that I come in almost daily, sometimes buy something, sometimes don't and no one minds. (I usually put on my TMac clothes in the bathroom; it's next door so...) 2-4 Stars for the service. I have definitely had some issues with some of the a) attention to detail from certain employees (if I order turkey and Swiss on French, lettuce and cuc only...what is complicated about that? - but wrong too many times lately!) and b) a little too often a to-go item is prepared for "here" . . . that sort of thing. There is a lot of... chatter and distraction...that can be seen behind the counter so . . . 1 Star for the fact that servers can be seen on "break" behind the counter when there is a line of customers; not quite so annoying when they are outside on break, eating (I totally get that) - but kinda tacky when the staff who calls out orders says their names on the loud speaker with a personal comment. Huh?! Mgt (Katrina) is good at handling situations most times, but a) does she notice when an employee deliberately does something wrong (y'all know I am pretty damn specific about my orders and I know I am right that it is irritating when it's..) on purpose... or b) talk to her staff? Def some attitude that has stepped up in general since I started coming here in Jan. The food quality is solid - even if corrected, when wrong - and maybe there are just some growing pains of some sort. Enjoyed my Asiago bagel with cream cheese just now, and headed off to work (I did actually dress before so... ;) )

Unfriendly cashier. Worried more about whether I'm going to spend some money in here after using there bathroom. Of course I am. There's a sign up front on the door that says bathrooms are for paying customers only. As soon as I walk in, she just looks at me and doesn't speak. Just stares. What's up with that. When I come out of bathrooms, I am hot and sweating from it being hot outside. I ask her for a bottle of water. I want it to be cold of course, but it ain't. I complain about it and she says Nothing just turns around and ignores me hoping I would go away. What! At least she could offer me a cup of ice. Furthermore the bathrooms are disgusting and the door to the stall does not lock. So i have to hold door out so it don't come back and hit me in the head. I'm not coming back. Too many things wrong on this visit.

It's a chain restaurant / bakery/ coffee house near work. The coffee at the hotel sucked really bad one sip and into the sink it went. This place is not a lot better. But, I'm really picky about my coffee. I'm raised on maxwell house after all in the brewed in my home town. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on a soft roll. In all a good start to another day at work.

My 12 year old LOVES Panera! I asked her to tell me what her favorite restaurant is, so I can review it, and she said Panera!! We go there all the time, and we always get the Chicken Frontega panini, with potato soup, and lemonade. If you call ahead and pay over the phone, you can run in and pick up your sack of food with no wait....very cool if you're in a rush!

Dirty!! This place is disgusting!! I've noticed that the servers in Chattanooga put importance on talking on their cell phones or to their co-workers instead of serving customers...this place is no different. After walking 6 blocks and finding no real breakfast stop I figured I'd stop in Panera and grab a bagel. After being "greeted" by a surely chaser who clearly thinks my pretense is an inconvenience...I find myself eating my cold "toasted" bagel at a table that is sticky and clearly not cleaned from the day prior. It's a shame because I love Panera back home. You failed today Panera

Panera still seems to have the best combo of excellent lighting and atmosphere for hanging out or working w/ the free wifi plus great soups, baguettes, etc, BUT... they've gone through a revamp of their recipes, and things seem to have changed for the worse. Their best desert item by far - cinnamon scone, has been replaced by a similar cinnamon scone base..., which is then smothered in a thick overly sweet icing. As that was my go-to recommendation - now gone, I'd say the second best dessert item - the orange scone - now jumps to #1 here. Enjoy and hope they revert to the previous recipe for cinnamon scone.

If I didn't come out smelling like bread/food, I'd love Panera more. But that's for all Paneras. Keke ;) There was a long line at this Panera at 11am on a Sunday morning, but figures since that's brunch time. Also this location is pretty convenient so I'm sure that factored into the hustle and bustle. Although busy, I still received really good friendly service. As I grabbed my things to go I made note of their ample seating in case I ever wanted to race the waiting customers for a seat in the future!

I love Panera. It is one of my favorite places in any city but this particular Panera saved my life on my trip to Chattanooga. It was very chilly after dinner at Easy Bistro & Bar and there didn't seem to be any coffee shops or small diners in sight that were open at 8p.m. to alleviate the chill however Panera situated on Market Street was there for me. Open until 9p.m. on Saturday, this Panera is like any other Panera Bread. There are dozens of tables perfect for studying or catching a meal with friends. My favorite part was the hot tea that broke my chill and allowed me to enjoy the remainder of my evening. Great location to both downtown and UTC.
