On a Tuesday night 6 PM we were seated by the hostess who told us she would be right back. Five minutes later we left and won't go back.

There used to be a really awful IHOP in this area. Poor management, bad service, horrible atmosphere. It was razed and this phoenix resurrected in its place. From the moment we walked in there was a clear difference. Clean, contemporary decor. Polite hostesses. We were seated immediately, quickly got our drink orders, food also came quite quickly with my 3 year old's pancake face coming early (by request.) I had the kid's tilapia with broccoli, a DIVINE 150 calorie serving and the proper portion for an adult meal. Fish in a breakfast chain in Chattanooga sounds like a gamble. It was amazing. I have never had a better seasoned, better prepared piece of tilapia ANYWHERE from Florida, to New York, to California. The service was top notch, food was great, and the price for a large dinner salad, pancake the size of a dinner plate and drinks was $16. Well done, IHOP.

Not sure how to rate a meal that never was. Management here is "not". Walked in on a slow night. 2 -3 cars in parking lot. The have a manager that told me she was leaving to get her kids and one waiter/ cook. One guy to do it all. Unreal is all I can say. I might give it a pass if not for all the other bad reviews. If you plan and have a staff, people might come.

Skip this place and go to Krispy Kreme or McDonald's they have better ,cheaper and faster food .Worst IHOP I have ever been to.

I'll start by saying I'm NOT a food snob. If I was starving, I'd take my chances at finding some road kill. Should've been a clue when we were given a cold, half full thermos of coffee. Clue number two, over an hour to get MOST of our food, which was cold. The rest of our food came out at an hour thirty.. I was told that my pancakes took so long because, "she was waiting on the strawberries". I guess what she meant by that was she wanted my pancakes to be cold enough to offset the strawberries which were still frozen. Maybe I should be grateful that she was concerned for the well-being of my teeth. I probably wouldn't be as critical if they were more than 10 people at the entire restaurant. So lets recap, cold food terrible service took a long time, would rather take my chances scavenging for food on the side of the road. And the cherry on top, i'd rather take my chances in entering a nuclear blast site then using the restroom again. Unless having your feet stick to the floor to what probably used to be vomit is your thing.

Blech! I sometimes wonder how on earth I find myself in situations requiring me to force certain chain food down my gullet. This was once of those times. So the Hubbs and I are feeling lazy even though it's still really early (or super late, depending on your day). So what do we want? Breakfast! He's in the mood for a sweet breakfast, which I never am. Nope. Give me sausage or give me death! I digress.... We find ourselves at the newest IHOP in town thinking, "It's new, it can't be that bad, right?" Oh were we sooo wrong. As soon as we walked in, we were smacked in the face with the putrid smell of dirty mop water...and maybe a little urine? We allowed ourselves to be seated anyway. (Our hostess was nice, at least.) The table was sticky! The menu was sticky! Everything on the table was sticky! I asked for a new booth only to find - you guessed it - more sticky! Now I understand that this is a breakfast place specializing in pancakes. But it simply shouldn't be covered in floor to ceiling syrup. The carpet was already stained, the windows had finger smears, and in general, the place was in need of a scrubbing. Our food orders arrived timely enough, even though I had a really hard time convincing myself the plates and mugs were clean. The sausage was obviously precooked and left under a warmer to die its final death. The eggs were hard and over scrambled. But it think it's impossible to scramble on a flat top. I did enjoy my toast. Hubbs stuck with basic pancakes and bacon. His bacon at least appeared to still have some squeal in them. Maybe he was lucky enough to get a fresh batch. Our gentleman server was too busy flirting with a table of females to bother himself with refilling the coffee of the two 30-somethings. At least he took our orders, right? But overall, I didn't care. I just wanted out! Bring me my ticket, here's your cash, haveanicedayseeyounever.

Ok...I admit it...I'm a bit of a food snob. If I can avoid "chain" restaurants, I will. I come from a place where there were several breakfast places within walking distance of my apartment. Great breakfast places, heck, one right across the street from me. One of the things I thought for sure I'd find in the South was great breakfasts. Alas, that's not the case. So Saturday, the BF wanted to go to Ihop for pancakes. Now, we are two completely different people when it comes to our food choices. I'm a foodie, through-and-through and he is so not. He says I eat "weird" things. LOL. So once-in-a-while I have to compromise and go where he wants to go. The place was pretty crowded for noon on a Saturday, but we got a table fairly quickly. I ordered the meat lovers breakfast and some nut and grain pancakes. When our order finally came, my pancakes had a big crack down the middle and they separated. The waitress says they do that if they are on the griddle too long. Uh....then why are you serving them to me? They were dry as a bone, even after putting syrup on them. I had to send them back and got just regular pancakes. Now I know the food coming from the kitchen isn't going to look like the pictures on the menu...but geez...these were not pancakes, but more like crepes. Flat, flat, flat. C'mon IHOP...get it together. I'm going to try and avoid having to go back.

Took over a hour to get service and food. Food under cooked . Will never come back. Take the time to go to Hixson. Better everything

Should be a No Star. Terrible service, even worse food. I have never sent food back anywhere, but had to here. I had the Swedish crepes, which should be light and fluffy with crispy edges. They were swimming in grease and when I say swimming imagine a New York style cheese pizza with grease dripping off it! The plate had a pool of grease under the crepes, they were heavy, greasy and so disgusting I had to spit it out. My sons eggs were scrambled instead of over easy, and my husbands eggs benedict were congealed, so nasty. Will never return if in Chattanogga again.

Despite being of new construction, the place had a rancid odor. Service was a tad below acceptable as our server had the attitude of a zombie. But they were the fast moving rather than the shambling zombie and would deliver a refill and be gone before I could say "I'm ready to order now." About the third refill we managed to get our orders in. The food is good and typical of the chain. I've been to IHOP's that have been a pleasure, but this is the second one in the area that's been a turn-off, so I won't be returning if it can be avoided.

Slow service. Our table waited about an hour for everyone to get their food. The restaurant wasn't even that crowded, but we did see plain clothes people walking in and out the kitchen laughing and joking around with the staff. I did see some hard working servers, but the kitchen and especially the management at this location is terrible.
