This is as close to a fancy restaurant as you can get without paying a lot to visit. They don't care how you dress either, they just want your business. We have been here on numerous occasions, all for the buffet. Tonight was prime rib and shrimp on the buffet, so it was more than usual. Our waitress took care of us and kept our drinks full at all times. The buffet was delicious as we got prime rib, shrimp, peach cobbler, baked potato, and several vegetables. I wanted my prime rib well done so the chef did so by marinating it in a heated container of special gardens marinade. We parked through the center road leading up to the hotel for free. There were no special events going on tonight. So, there was no problem in finding a parking place.

Gross gross gross! Other than the convenience if you are staying on property (which I don't recommend), there is really nothing positive to say about this place. The food was unappetizing and there was one waitress servicing the entire floor. Although she never stopped moving, she couldn't keep up with that many tables. Way understaffed. Breakfast buffet was not good.

Pretty much everything you expect from a hotel buffet. My three year old and I ate breakfast here as part of our hotel package. On the plus side, the fresh fruit was good and our waitress was very friendly. There was also a wide selection of food. My son had chocolate milk, a cheese danish, licked the sugar off a couple of french toast sticks, and was thoroughly pleased (he also took an apple for the road). On the other hand, everything but the fruit was probably pulled out of the freezer at 5:00 am, quickly "cooked", and then stuck under a heat lamp.

We had a very bizarre experience here on 26 December. Specifically, about five minutes after we had been seated, our waitress simply vanished. We asked another waiter to get her, and he said he would do so. Only after about ten more minutes, when the waitress came rushing back to the restaurant, did we realize she had vanished because she had to deliver room service orders as well as wait tables in the restaurant. That's just bad management, pure and simple. Most of the breakfast food was fine, but my "medium rare" steak was as well done (the cooking method, not the quality) as I've ever seen. The moment that encapsulated our breakfast came when my father asked if the kitchen would butter his toast before making it. He explained that if you have to butter the toast after it's made, it gets cold, and the butter does not sink into the bread the way it does if the bread is buttered before it is toasted. (He is correct about this, by the way.) Rather than asking the kitchen, the waitress immediately said "No, they won't do it." We humbly accepted our rebuke and finished our food, buttering our toast in silence. Gotta love that southern hospitality! The one good thing I'd say about the place is that the prices were fine. It doesn't look like they're jacking the price up because it's a hotel place, so kudos for that at least.

This has become a traditional brunch destination for family birthdays. For a breakfast buffet the quality is fine and it's well-stocked. They no longer have the Belgian waffles which used to cause a back-up and was a difficult station to keep clean, so I understand. As with any buffet there will be parents that ignore the signs and let their kids serve themselves unsupervised with the expected messes, delays, and unsanitary behaviors. The seating area is pretty and we always end up enjoying ourselves.

Apparently known for their buffet, my family went on a night they didn't have the buffet. Immediately upon entering, I was put off by the odor. I doubt that place has been properly or thoroughly cleaned in years. Our waiter started off fine, but quickly disappeared, and showed up with the check before asking about desert. The food was mediocre, bland, and everyone's plates were filled with yellow & brown food. I was very disappointed.

My experience here was pretty good. The buffet was decent enough, my waitress was nice and attentive. It did take a whole to be seated despite the place being at maybe 20% capacity. I had the breakfast buffet and thought the scrambled egss were terrific! I must have gotten a brand new batch cuz they tasted as if I had just made them at home. The French Toast sticks were also really good and I could have been happy with the eggs and french toast sticks alone. The bacon was dry and not all that great. I wanted to try the sausage too, but it didn't look too freash. Keep in mind though, that this is a hotel breakfast buffet. The fruit was fresh and I got a whole plate worth. The restaurant itself seemed pretty clean and I had a seat right by the front windows, so I was able to people watch and look at the train from my seat. It seemed a bit pricey to me. It cost $10 and change, then I threw in a tip. Will it do the trick for breakfast? Absolutely yes, but don't expect 5 star service and quality!

With a buffet that looks like its been sitting out since the hotel's heyday in the 1970s and a staff that is incredibly inconvenienced should you order from the menu instead of the buffet why would you ever want to eat here? With several hungry kids after a long day out and this being the only restaurant in the hotel without a wait, our choices were limited. I wish we'd waited for any other restaurant. Avoid this place and their cold, tasteless offerings.
