Double Diamond isn't just for the ski slopes, try it! Filet, lobster, shrimp, all great. Creme Brûlée Cheesecake (wasn't mine) I stole half of it. Wait staff was awesome, ask for Robbie.

Firebirds was a nice steakhouse, but the prices were a little higher than the food quality. My husband and I tried Firebirds in a Monday night, and we experienced no wait. We ordered the lobster and spinach queso with chips, and we both enjoyed it. The free bread was also delicious. My husband tried the filet, which was cooked excellently, and I had the coconut shrimp with habanero chutney, also yummy. Though both of our mains were excellent, the sides left us disappointed. The fries were the suggested pairing with the steak, but the over cooked in low temp oil left the frozen potatoes a greasy, hard mess. The "fresh" seasonal veggies (squash, zucchini, broccoli, and carrots in early June) had clearly seen better days, and the slaw paired with the coconut shrimp was entirely average. We ordered and side to share of the green chili Mac and cheese, but we found it under seasoned and wondered where the green Chili's were in the overpriced pasta. Service was timely and polite. The Firebirds email club offers a $10 off your next visit coupon for joining, but it takes hours for the offer to be emailed. Join before you go if you can. The coupon lasts about 2 weeks. Given the fact that pricing was close (within $10) to that of other premium steakhouses in town (Porter's), I would definitely head to one of Chatty's better eateries in the future to get my money's worth!

This is our new favorite place in Chattanooga. It's perfect for a date night. It never seems too noisy. The lighting is cozy, and if you're in the mood to be outside, the patio setup is beautiful as well (especially for the small space they had to work with). We have tried many dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed in any way! The pineapple drink they specialize in is a taste of heaven. If you are a pineapple lover, it is a must have. Enjoy! P.s. We tried dessert for the first time on our last visit... Wow! How did we live without this before?! Delish!

Wow! So myself and two co-workers came here for lunch and were awestruck when the manager came to our table and told us, "thank you for serving our country and because we appreciate you so much, we are taking care of half of your check." Let me tell you that from the moment we walked in everyone was very professional and top rate. The staff was absolutely amazing and yes we were in uniform for a business lunch, but did not expect management to go out of their way for us in this manner. I want to thank management and staff for the amazing lunch experience and we thank you for your support. Needless to say, we left a great tip! The feeling is mutual! Thank you!

Great food, great service. Finishing our Easter lunch her. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Steak, French dip, pork tenderloin, salads, all were very good. Candace was our server and she is very pleasant and accommodating. We have a teen with an egg allergy, and she was on top of things such that she let us know that she had checked with the kitchen on everything. Managers check on you to make sure you don't need anything. We will be back

Wonderful food! Wonderful service! Great atmosphere! Recently ate here and I will be coming back. The crab cakes are heaven on earth, and the salads are wonderful. Our server was attentive and very helpful with the selection, recommending some great choices. The romantic setting makes it perfect for a date night or just a fun night out.

Now what is a vegan or vegetarian doing at a steak house? Well... the good news is that there are things one can eat, if your group drags you along to Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. There are of course salads and they have soups of the day, which on two of the days (not today!) seem vegetarian. And sides of course. But they also have a Portabella sandwich (leave off the cheese for a vegan meal). And a veggie kabob. Now for a vegetarian, this comes with a Portabella Quesidilla... which sounds good. But since I do not eat cheese, they substituted the Tater Tots for the Quesidilla. Bread was good. I enjoyed the veggie kabob as far as grill smokiness. Just one kabob though was a little light, but this was the lunch menu. Service was good. Parking is easy. Traffic around here can get bad at lunchtime.

We picked this place based on Yelp reviews and suggestions, the service was great and the food was excellent! There wasn't one thing we didn't like. My husband ordered a filet w/shrimp and it was amazing! Deff worth the $30. I ordered the mahi special with tomato and avocado salad and it was great. Everything had a great flavor. We will defiantly return and recommend this place to any and everyone!

The decor is cool and very trendy for Chattanooga. Warm theme but a little dark. Chattanooga defiantly needed a place like this and more. Menu is pretty but a little steal heavy for me. Haven't tried any steaks. A little pricey for portions but the quality is defiantly pretty strong. Kobe meatballs are good starter but have a peppercorn bite too them a little strong but worth trying. The Kobe pigs in a blanket are ok not far tasting from hotdogs though. Coconut shrimp are good probably the best thing I've had here. Pecan crusted trout was good, Cooked perfectly. New England clam chowder was good but pretty small portion for a bowl. Chicken tortilla soup was perfect. I will have again. Crab cakes are ok. The great parts..... The bar is very cool for Chattanooga! Comfortable, open, and very eye pleasing. Bar tender was very friendly and kept drinks full. The signature pineapple martini was the highlight, if you drink make your partner order one or if your alone just order it in a mans glass, if you are a man. A good mans drink would be the bee sting, sweet and sour. Cucumber watermelon mojito was great. Desert pear was awesome drink. Iced cherry lime aid was good. Crime brûlée cheesecake was perfect!

Started with the tortilla soup - was on the thick side but the fresh tomatoes and sour cream on top was a nice counterpoint. For main had the aged ribeye - asked for medium rare - it came a bit undercooked but the staff quickly refired it to the right degree. Props to the staff including the cook who came out to check if all was okay. Accompanying baked potato with all the fixings was surprisingly very good - creamy and buttery... Almost stole the thunder from the steak which was quite good. Atmosphere inside was nice though a little characterless and the location in a corner of the mall made it look less nice than it was inside.

The food is absolutely amazing! I had the Durango burger, and I loved every bite of it! It just has a cozy feeling with the couches and the dim lighting. The waiter was kind and came right on time!

Relentlessly your best option for a casual/fine dining experience. These guys are clearly taking pride in each point of contact and customer service. If you're like me, everything is NOT WORTH A FIVE STAR RATING on yelp. ,...and while I'd still recommend Easy Bistro in downtown Chatt if your from out of town (please see my review ),...FireBird is the perfect place if you want to stay in the area and properly skirted the other steak house in this area per our yelp reviews (*cough Ruth's cough*) The first time my girlfriend and I visited, I got the blue cheese stuffed filet and she ordered their Plain Jane salmon. However! Their salmon was spot on with a perfect cook and complimentary sauce. ,...of course my filet was a select medium-rare coupled with one of the best blue cheese sauces that I've had on a filet (even topping a $65 steak that I purchased in Nashville).

When you enter Firebird's, you can tell immediately that the place is a cut above the rest. The decor; the music; the staff; all are very nice and professional. Upon entering, you can also smell the signature wood fire grill as it does it's work flavoring the food and tantalizing the guests' taste buds. Our server, Barbara, was very quick and attentive to our needs - kudos! The appearance of the bar at the front as you enter makes you want to order something off their extensive list of choices. I did. The food: both of us ordered the wood fire grilled Salmon (see pic) that was so moist, tender, seasoned well and just perfectly cooked. I enjoyed it very much! The potatoes were okay and I mention the mixed veggies because they seemed to be better than most medleys you get with a meal. The mixed green & praline pecan salad(see pic) I had pre-meal was the best salad I've eaten in a restaurant all year! All-in-all, it was a wonderful meal. The cost for the two of us was $69 before adding a tip. I'd do it again.

A new place in town so we checked it out. The crowd was light at 3:30 on a Sunday so we were seated right away. The atmosphere is nice but not very unique looks like a lot of other restaurants; but it was nice. We were seated right away but we did wait a little bit before someone seated us. However, there were numerous servers so I'm not sure why we had to wait. Our server took our order and then came by a couple of times to see if we needed anything. I thought this was a little much since we were really just waiting for our food but I could see her heart was in the right place and nothing a little coaching couldn't correct. The food was tasty. I ordered a burger and the only thing I didn't like about it was that there appeared to be some grease or something on the top of the bun which I didn't think was necessary. The fries were great. I'd definitely come by here again as the menu looks pretty good.

After searching everywhere for a restaurant that had a gluten-free menu (my daughter has dietary restrictions), we came across this place - and boy are we glad we did. They have an entire GF menu that is separate from the main menu, which is refreshing. The food was excellent and the portion size was generous without being overwhelming. The food was quite good and the cooks (chef) clearly know how to cook a steak properly. However, they served us green beans they typically make using a sauce rich in gluten. We never would have known about it but the general manager, Scott Lackman, came to our table as our food was being served, apologized and said he saw the beans weren't the gluten-free variety. He took them back and brought us the right ones. I appreciated his candor and attention to detail as a manager. We would definitely eat here again.

Simply one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a long time . First service was excellent and prompt . We had three different steak courses in our party all were excellent and cooked properly. Plus the Firewood BLT salad was very unique and delicious. Highly recommend!

We have been back two times since my first review. And I am very impressed. I got the pecan encrusted trout with peach salsa and it was wonderful. My husband's burger was also good. No complaints on the two visits. Preston was our server the last two times and he is wonderful. He brought everything we ask for and even remembered me from the previous visit. I believe Firebirds will give J Alexander's a run for their money.

Had a really great dinner here! It wasn't crowded, staff were super nice and the food was great! The coconut shrimp are amaaaaaze! I also had the crab cake salad and it was very yummy. The restaurant is a little on the expensive side, but it's definitely worth it.

Let me put my serious hat on for a moment. *clears throat* What is there to say about Firebirds that hasn't already been said? It's exactly the type of steakhouse that Chattanooga needed, and I'm here to break it down for you. Firebirds is bringing a touch of high class to the Hamilton area without being pretentious. The interior is very modern and streamlined, although a bit overly dark. I love the fact that you can watch the action in the kitchen from any table in the house. Flame on, tasty meat slabs! The bar area is huge, colorful, well lit, and I have a feeling they can make a mean vodka tonic. Our particular wait person was very well versed in the menu, prompt, courteous, and did not hover. He was an incredibly nice gentleman that completely owned his role. Let's discuss the food: Oh. My. They have prime rib! The Hubbs and I both ordered this because, frankly, he's a man on a mission to discover the best in the nation. While the prime rib was superbly executed and the temperature was perfect (seriously, perfect), the herb crust was was a bit tough. However, the taste was excellent and the au jus was delish! I'm glad I had a potato to pour this amber liquid treasure into. About that potato - it was awesome!! Hot, soft, and crusted in salt. I also ordered the port mushrooms, and I haven't had any that were that tasty...EVER. The Hubbs ordered a caesar salad and while he said it was good, he wasn't sure he'd order it again. The croutons were dusted in chili powder and it didn't really jive with the dressing for him. The crust of the prime rib and the darkness of the interior are the ONLY reasons Firebirds didn't earn a five star. Really, I would have given them a 4.5 if it were an option. We can't wait to go back because that Kobe meatloaf looks divine. (I know, meatloaf!) Hey! Someone bring me a rag because I'm sitting here drooling over fond memories of delicious, delicious cow and potatoes.

Place is solid i'm a foodie so to give this 4 stars it has too be really good. A little dark inside, service was good the food just did not wow me especially for the price. This place is along the same lines as Houston's but think Houston's is a better place overall

This is probably the best option by Hamilton Place for family special (or any) occasion dining. My son who turned 8 today picked for his bday. A wide variety of menu items. Good choices for kids. A great atmosphere that is welcoming to families and couples. Loud enough so you can't hear the table next to you, nice enough for date night. Great entrees that come out hot. A good bar selection with high end libations, beer or wine. Only complaint is they seem to be overpriced on some food and ALL drinks when no happy hour is available. Overall a great place with good food, atmosphere and Awesome service!

Love the bar. I'm surprised it is not busier just because it's such a good place to meet for drinks. The food is good too. I have had the trout a couple of times. The tortilla slaw that comes with it is really good.

Firebirds is a moderately priced restaurant if you are having lunch or early dinner M-Th, otherwise a dinner for two can approach $$$ with a glass of wine. That being said, the food is very good and the wait staff knowledgeable and attentive. The crab cakes are all crab and well seasoned served with a spicy Asian sauce. The blue cheese crusted filet was cooked to order but the blue cheese overwhelmed an excellent cut of meat. The prime rib was equally delicious. Worth trying is the flash-fried spinach. It melts in you mouth. It is not on the menu so either your wait person will have to tell you about it or you will have to remind them. Listen to the wait person's recommendations, they have tried all of the food and are usually spot on if you tell them what you like.

While looking for a new place to try close to home, we of course consulted the wisdom of Yelp to assist and found this place. Well done, Yelpers. Very nice atmosphere, although a bit loud. Even so, the setting is comfortable and the booths are fairly private. I ordered the large cut of prime rib which was perfectly cooked, well seasoned and an overall great cut of meat. The standard is to provide a "horsey sauce" and Au jus, but without hesitation they added a nice helping of coarsely grated real horseradish to mine. It came with a nicely cooked bake potato; crisp salty skin and loaded up with goodies. On the recommendation of our server, my wife had the sesame seed encrusted salmon. The fish was fresh with some type of light coating, rolled in sesame seeds and cooked to "just crunchy". It had a garlic aioli that added just the right amount of flavor. BUT; my favorite part was the side she got with it. It was fried fresh spinach leaves. These things were amazing. I didn't get the order of the that sentence backward. They somehow take fresh spinach leaves and flash fry them in a light oil so that they look like whole spinach, but they absolutely dissolve in your mouth with a fabulous flavor. These are something you have to try to believe. Never had anything like it. Service great. Food great. Atmosphere great. Overall a great experience. We just had water to drink and our total bill before tip was right around $50, so affordable as well. Money well spent. We will be back.

I have been 3 times and the food is decent. I always leave satisfied with the meal but questioning the price point. I hand tried the prime rib, tortilla soup, and Mac and Cheese. I would highly recommend the Mac and Cheese. The service is prompt.

I wanted something light, so My wife and I split the Caesar salad topped with Salmon. Plus a side of braised spinach. Caesar was tangy and I loved it, but it was too intense for my wife. Salmon came lightly seasoned atop the salad and tasted delicious. Braised spinach came prepared with tomato and Parmesan cheese. Flavorful but not too heavy.

I actually did not eat. My wife and I sat in the bar section for drinks. The drinks were excellent, had the blood orange margarita, and the pineapple martini...which they infuse in house...very very good. The atmosphere was relaxed, upclass but not snooty. I will return!!

My husband and I were recommended by my in laws so we came here tonight for our 6th Anniversary. It was nothing short of Ahhhmazing! The service was outstanding from making our reservations to our waitress. The Filets were the best we've ever had! The waitress gave us our choice of dessert - on the house I might add, and a Happy Anniversary card signed by the staff. (So thoughtful) We chose the creme brulee cheesecake.. Again delicious! You've gotta try the pineapple martini!! We will definitely be back in the future. The extra care and thoughtfulness made our night just that much more perfect and special.

We had an excellent experience after my dumb seafood allergy, we finally got food. Manager comped or meal (which wasn't necessary cause I wouldn't have done that). Since my shellfish allergy left us with small appetizers to choose from, we had the "onion rings". Nothing special, just onion rings with ranch but still good ... The drinks were decently priced and server was very attentive. We are J Alexander's regulars and I get that's tough to beat, but We will probably be back at least for drinks or maybe lunch anyway.

Wonderful atmosphere and service by Adam.. Very attentive Loved the decor and wine bottle wall. The BLT salad was delicious with lots of bacon .. I had the coconut shrimp for dinner and served a nice quantity and delicious. Along with a tortilla strip slaw. Loved it .. So much I didn't eat much of my veg stir fry. My husband had steak and said it was great too All the servings had beautiful presentation but most of all was high quality. We splurged and had the brûlée cheesecake to share .. Don't miss it if you like cheesecake. .. You won't be disappointed dining here. We picked it as we travel from reading YELP! Thanks YELP!

Best service I have ever had. Very adequate portions. Amazingly well trained staff, all of whom seemed happy to serve. Just a bit pricy, but well worth it. They were EXTREMELY accommodating to my food allergies. The floor manager came to our table and assured me my food would be kept far away from my allergy triggers. This was our first time at a Firebird. I was a bit shocked by the ambiance. I felt a bit under dressed in my jeans and tee. Our server (I believe her name was Lindsay) made me very comfortable when I mentioned this. She said something to the effect of they didn't care what we were wearing, just happy to have us. The next table over had their (guessing here) 4 year old grandson with them. The whole staff made such a fuss over him. That child was on cloud 9, with his 2 sides of butter and 2 catsup cups. That was when they only had bread on their table. He was a happy kid. I ordered a BLT salad and a cilantro chicken dish with garlic mashed potatoes. It was delicious. My only disappointment was (again bear in mind, my food was fantastic), the chicken didn't have the cilantro kick I was hoping for. We will happily be visiting again. Super satisfied customers.

Passing through Chattanooga, we stopped here for a quick lunch. We were seated promptly and greeted by a personable server. The mushroom burger was outstanding, smoky flavored and cooked just right. The lemonade is a "must have". New England clam chowder was a little thin but still tasty. Good atmosphere and quiet. Wish they had a restaurant in Asheville.

We have now had several trips to Firebirds since their recent opening, and the experiences have been first rate. The chili rub on the chicken for a spinach salad made one of the best salads I've ever had. Prime rib also was excellent. Try the tower of onion rings with their truly unique dipping sauce. Parking is easy and Mall location is convenient.

We headed to dinner tonight to catch a quick bite and rush back home. After seeing the new location here in Chattanooga was open and not super crowded we decided to try it. As soon as we walked in we realized that it was not just another place to eat. This restaurant looks nice inside, REALLY NICE. I love the style and it gives you a real sense of being in a good spot without the excessive noise that always seems to bother me at J Alexanders. We were promptly seated and within minutes David our server greeted us. To us there is a fine line between good service and service that intrudes into dinner talk. We go out to dinner to have a good meal and talk with each other and frankly many of the chains don't understand that. They want to interrupt every two seconds and ruin dinner conversation. NONE of that happened here. David handled every thing perfectly and it was clear from talking to him that he is a true professional and good at his job. Great service is not an accident and it appears that these staff is really well trained. I noted that all of the staff on the floor was clean, neat, professional, well groomed and looked the part of a restaurant of this price point or one step above actually. I turned to the David and asked him to suggest a meal that would make me want to come back. He suggested the Chili rubbed steak and my wife picked his #2 choice which was Kobe beef meatloaf. Both were served after a very reasonable wait ( with a nice loaf of bread to hold us over) and they were piping hot. The meals including the sides (mashed potatoes for her and southwestern scalloped potatoes for me) were delicious. After dinner we shared the cream brûlée cheesecake with raspberry puree and it too was great. Just enough of the crunchy outer crust to make it interesting. Overall this was a VERY good dinner that far exceeded our expectations and we will be back. Its nice to have a new selection for a bit of a nicer place when you don't want to eat at the typical Logans, outback etc.

We had a perfect dinner here last evening. Our waiter, Glen, was informative and attentive. Food was all properly cooked, presented and portioned. The Coconut Shrimp were just like those in Maui- not too sweet. And the slaw which accompanied it thankfully had no cilantro in it and went well with the shrimp. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection. We can only hope we will encounter this situation during the lunch/ brunch time when we are bringing clients with us.

My wife and two daughters came in last Monday evening (8-4-14) The restaurant was about 1/3 full around 6:30 p.m. When we were seated, it took 15 minutes for someone to greet us and get our drink order. The brought my daughters milk and my wife and I ordered a bottle of wine which took another 15 minutes to get. The waitress apologized and said that the manager couldn't find what we had ordered. After 30 minutes, she took our order. Having two small kids it would of been nice to have some bread to keep them occupied during the wait for our food, but I had to ask for the bread at the 40 minute mark. Our food finally arrived 40 minutes later for a total wait time of an hour and ten minutes from arriving. The food was good once we received it, but the service was less than desirable. This was our 5-6 visit to Firebirds and normally don't have these type of issues, but tonight the wait staff was not on their game. When you pay close to $100 for a meal, bad service can ruin the entire evening, but I guess the wait staff is only as good as the managers than manage them. Real let down.......

Went there for a special occasion and everything was wonderful. Food was excellent, service was very good, ask for Cameron, he was great. This is a chain, but an upscale chain, really awesome inside, lots of stone and wine bottles on the walls, similar to Ruth's Chris. Will go back again soon. Cheesecake was best I have ever had at a restaurant. Only minor thing, the music playing was too loud for the dining area, should have been a bit more mellow for the dining room. Brought that to mgmnt attn. Overall great experience.
