Mushroom app w horseradish dip was delish! Burgers were gobbled down by whole table. Little ones had grilled cheese which were really good. Great service- gave us our milkshakes in to-go cups since we were heading to IMAX. Will be back next time we are in Chattanooga!

First time here and loved it! Music is fun, kid friendly with a menu and crayons. The burgers were awesome with tons! of choices. Will definitely go back.

I love the concept of Cheeburger Cheeburger. Get a great quality burger with almost endless toppings and any kind of shake imaginable in a fun, loud environment. At this location they don't disappoint on those things. Where this location goes wrong is stuffing way too many tables and chairs in a small dining room. If there are two people, this isn't too bad. But poor person 3 and 4 will get bumped into constantly by waiters and other guests. I'm guessing their under some pressure to provide seating for some minimum number of guests but so far this is my least favorite CC location for that reason alone. Everything else is good.

Cheeburger is an excellent choice if you're looking for a laid back lunch in the chattanooga area. It has an old school diner feel to it, and pretty good service. The menu is completely customizable, and they give you lots of options for your meal. Their burgers are fantastic, and the shakes are beyond amazing. If you're a fan of experimenting with flavors, you'll no doubt love this place. It's pretty inexpensive, even after all the extras and the shakes. Not much seating, so you might have to wait a bit if you come during the weekend on the normal busy dinner hours. This is my favorite burger place in Chattanooga.

We had a great tasting meal here but the waiter was slow with getting our drinks. He sat another table, took their order and brought their drinks before we got our drinks or order in. I love this chain and the food is always good.

Wonderful food, atmosphere, service, and ESPECIALLY location very near the aquarium. One would ordinarily assume that a joint so close to a tourist attraction would suffer in quality because it could just milk the advantage of having a great location. Not so. I hope they open one of these in ATL one day.

I'm smitten with having the ability to create my own milkshake/burger with their plethora of options and not have to worry about an extra charge. BUT then I realized that they're getting away with this for the shakes because a lot of the mix-ins are flavored syrups. Such a bummer.

Only one complaint. We had at least 3 people asking us if the food was ok ever 7-10 min. The answer was always yes!!! Made to order, fresh toppings, awesome appetizers, create your own soda or milkshake flavors out of thousands of combinations, and a wonderful atmosphere. Newbies get a tutorial of the menu, because without it you would get lost in it and likely miss out on some goodies. I wish there was one in my home town. Absolutely mouth watering.

Background: * On a Thursday just before noon I took my family here because I was leery of the wait at the Thai place across the street. * I'll admit that the name Cheeburger Cheeburger had me turned off a bit because it sounds so corporate. I had low expectations going in. * We ordered a basket of fries and O Rings to start cause we were starving. The basket arrived pretty quickly - unfortunately it arrived cold probably from sitting in the window too long. The waitress was kind and without hesitation brought another basket exclaiming that the new basket was hot. I was leery once again, but pleasantly surprised that not only was everything hot - it was delicious. * Although multiple signs around the place tell is that the food is not "fast" I was happy to have received our order within about 15 min after ordering. Now, you may not believe this but I've travelled the country professionally researching hamburgers. I know a good burger when I see it. err, taste it... My summation? * This was not a bad burger! In fact it was great burger. Smashed and seared my 1/3lb burger was prepared to a perfect medium with my choice of toppings which included blue cheese, onion rings, tomato, BBQ sauce, banana peppers, and pickles. My only two complaints (if that's what you wanna cal it) were the crappy, unripe, thick-cut tomato and the lack of seasoning - This was easily fixed by removing the tomato and properly seasoning the patty. (all by myself). * My kids both ordered off the kids menu - the chicken strips and the kids classic didn't disappoint. * The owner in the restaurant on the staff's ass is a nice touch as was a manager who took the time to stop and chat before we left. I usually write my reviews with a list of things I didn't like. So keeping to tradition: * the pink neon lights were a little disturbing. Although the ambiance is pretty cool(even with the tightly placed tables) the hue in the room bothered me but I am at an age where silly things bother me. So really - who cares. * Being served cold food bothers me. Really bothers me. But... The waitress made up for it by quickly and happily replacing our basket of onion rings and fries. Don't tell the owner but we also got the hook-up when she knowingly brought us another basket o fries and o rings with our burgers. Text book customer service in my opinion. That easily deserves a star! * The name still bothers me but remember the part about stupid things bothering me? Something about the SNL skit and a good burger just don't pair well in my mind. Of course it doesn't help that I've visited the Billy Goat Tavern and had one of the worst burgers of my life. But I digress. * Why not a fifth star? After many years in the restaurant biz I would really like to have seen the entire staff hustle a bit more. While the food and service were not slow by any stretch I'm a true American and I want it NOW! Now here is what really Made my experience enjoyable - the check. If you've read my other reviews you know that I like to gauge a restaurant by how much it cost vs how much quality and skill were put into the meal. 2 - 1/3 lb burgers, 1 kids burger, 1 kids chicken strips, 3 drinks and a side of fries/onion rings for 29 bucks before tip. You had me at "inexpensive"

Great food, great shakes. Total build-your-own environment. You get to customize your whole meal to get exactly what you want. The onion rings were excellent. The kids loved the build your own shakes, though one overdid it with too many ingredients.

It's sad to say but I had the worst customer service here that I've ever had. The burgers were good but it took over an hour and a half when only one other table was there. All three of the orders were wrong... Completely wrong. The waitresses laughed and gossiped beside our table when we were trying to get their attention. Not to mention there was a couple making out on a table beside us. Once we had had enough we got up to leave and speak with a manager. He did not even apologize but simply handed us coupons for "buy two burger and a drink, get one drink free". We will never be back again.

We went to cheeburger on a friday night. It was packed but we only had about a 15-20 min wait which was not bad considering how small the place is and how many people they had in there. Our service was GREAT and our waitress was very helpful with explaining the menu considering it was our first time there. She also kept our drinks refilled and kept checking on us all throughout our dining experience there. You pretty much build your burger and your fries which is pretty cool. My burger was exactly what I ordered and how I wanted it. My only complaint was the burger patty was a little under seasoned but I added a little salt and it was perfect. Your food is cooked to order so there is a little wait time, but thats ok, I am willing to wait for fresh food. So with all this being said you cant go to a burger place like this without getting a milkshake. They have about 50 diff flavors of milkshakes (no lie). I wanted brownie batter but they were out so I got a double chocolate shake with peanut butter.....let me tell you that shake was to die for. It was blended perfectly!! We will deff be going back im sure :)

A friendly atmosphere meets a salad topped with a delish cheeseburger. Getting a shake that its any flavor under the sun helps a four star rating progress top a five. The only trouble you might have of this place is finding a parking spot

Yummy burgers. "In the thick of it" location. Small and extremely slow service every time. Never the less, they know what they're doing. The highlight of this burger joint, besides the super cool old school Saturday Night LIVE reference in the name. is the fact that you can order a thousand toppings and they are free. You can get super creative with your burger man! I dig; jalapenos, A1, cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato....

I used to love coming to Cheeburger Cheeburger with my aunt when I visited Chattanooga as a youngster. The food, atmosphere, and shakes really haven't changed - it's tasty and diner-like, but it just wasn't as good as I remember. I don't know if it was dirtier, more crowded, or if (and this is probably the most likely reason) the fact that I was a paying adult this time cause me to realize what a monumental rip-off this place is. I mean, $7+ for a burger that doesn't come with anything? I'm good. Not saying I'll never go back, but it will be a while.

It's been several years since our last time at this place. When we visit downtown Chattanooga we always make a stop at cheeburger cheeburger. The food is good and it's diner style. The coolest thing about this place is when you eat their one pound burger, they take your picture and put on their hall of fame well. Kids get their picture on the wall if they eat the 1/2 burger. Sadly when both walls are full they take every picture off, so you probably won't see your picture the next time you come. I did take their one pound burger and I was successful. But I wouldn't do that every time I come. The food is good, and that's why whenever we are visiting the city we will make a stop here.

Cheeburger Cheeburger is not a place for an indecisive person. Everyone else will be fine. The main draw to this quirky chrome-accented, neon-lit burger joint is the ability for visitors to "invent" their own burgers. You get a massive menu loaded with possibilities, limited only by your imagination. You select a meat, a bun, add your toppings, and finish it off with dressings to create a completely unique burger custom suited for your own tastes. I love anything spicy, so I loaded my burger with jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, and BBQ sauce. The meat was properly cooked through without searing it and losing flavor. The fries were okay, but a bit on the skinny and crunchy side. Ice cold drinks are served in custom mason jars, making a nice touch to the interior decor. The service was great. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door, and when I asked for a specific table beside the window they quickly cleaned it up for me (how else can I get great photos of food?). My waiter kept my glass full and answered any and all questions that crossed my mind. They are located downtown which makes this a great place for lunch or dinner while visiting the Tennessee Aquarium, Hunter Museum of American Art, or any other downtown destination. I can't wait to come back here again and invent another burger. Wonder what I should call this one?

I'm not sure how this place has so many great recommendations. Service sucks. Management looks/behaves like they are fresh out of high school. Employees spent more time socializing and flirting with one another than anything else. Total disregard for customer service. Three hours later I felt like I was escaping from an asylum when we finally received our check. I will never waste my time/money/appetite on this place again.

Great, great burgers. Even the onion rings and fries are excellent. You'll get out of here for less than $10 a person, which says a lot due to the size of these things. Nice location, as well. If you desire a burger, then this should be at the top of your list if visiting downtown. Not the largest restaurant, so it can get busy and cramped during lunch and dinner times on weekends.

We were spending a day in Chattanooga and I was excited to find that there was a Cheeburger Cheeburger right near where we were going to be. We used to have one in Raleigh but they pulled entirely out of NC and I kinda miss them. So it was a little busy when we got there so we had to wait to get seated. it was the Sunday of Labor Day weekend but they only had like 4 servers for the whole place, and there should have probably been 8. So all the servers seemed tired and overworked. Big fail on the part of management. Our server was very nice, but you could see he was run a little ragged. He took our drink orders and was prompt brining our drinks. We ordered our meals and an appetizer of fried pickles because we had a coupon for a half price appetizer. The basket of pickles came out and it was only about a third of an order. The waiter explained that the kitchen had run out of batter. Now, being pretty handy in the kitchen myself, I'm thinking.... batter.....hmmm.... eggs, flour and some kind of liquid (buttermilk or beer maybe), some seasoning, and voila! batter!. Could they not just send someone to the supermarket to get the makings? It was still pretty early in the evening, WAY too early to be out of batter. The burgers were very good, but they must've also run out of jalapenos, because neither of our party who ordered jalapenos got any. These are the kind of things that happen when a good restaurant is understaffed and the kitchen is not prepared for a holiday weekend crowd. This is also the kind of thing that loses customers, so Cheeburger Cheeburger, you have to do better. I really hate giving you this mediocre review, but I can't honestly give you any better of a rating.

Burgers and onion rings were great! Fries left a little to be desired. Atmosphere was great my 2 year old loved the cars box his food came in. We ordered shakes they were delicious but they came when they brought our check. Overall good experience. I would recommend it.

Had heard people talking about how wonderful this place is, so decided to give it a try. Everything is ordered separately, and you essentially create your own burger, just the way you want it. I liked that I didn't have to fiddle with fancy toppings and "set" burgers, and could just get a plain cheeseburger and fries. Definitely felt like I could get what I wanted. Did think that a turkey burger was $2-something extra?! (Didn't get one but saw that on the menu.) Enjoyed my visit there, but not blown away. A little pricy for what I had, but not the worst I've ever paid for a burger, fries & a drink. Also, they serve Pepsi and not Coca Cola. Not a knock against them, but worth noting. Might try sweet potato fries next time!

Not great. Heard that the burgers were fantastic. Not great. Sauces were nasty. Service was super slow. Asked for drinks several times before getting them Shakes took forever to come and were 3/4 full and melted. But the check came right away. Would not recommend. I was quite disappointed.

We were super excited to see that there was a Cheeburger Cheeburger in Chattanooga! We have eaten in the one on Sanibel Island and, last week, the one in Sanford Airport in Orlando. This one, however, was not what we expect from such a great franchise. The place is small and VERY loud, the music was way to loud. I could barely hear my wife who was only across the table from me. The women's bathroom was terribly dirty with no toilet paper available and the toilet handle came off in my daughter's hand. The food was only mediocre. Buns were not toasted and cold, but the burgers were just fine after replacing the buns. This place was incredibly busy and the staff was working their tails off, but it was a Friday night. I'd like to see more consistency in the food between franchises, after all you expect the same quality regardless of physical location.

When I was a kid, we always stopped in Chattanooga for the night during our Illinois-to-Florida drive. I remember one trip at 9 or 10 when my brother and I were playing in the fountain at the Aquarium across the street, and I fell and popped and blood vessel in my hand. We went into Cheeburger Cheeburger for dinner and waitress gave me ice for my little hand. And I got a milkshake and my burger served in a Cadillac. ANYWAYS, those were my memories of the restaurant at 10. 13 years later my husband I came back and were more impressed by the perfectly presented cheeseburger. We shared a burger with our choice of toppings (cooked and displayed to perfection) and a basket of half onion rings/half fries. The batter on the onion rings were amazing! Almost tempura-like. We tried their garden veggie and horseradish dipping sauces which were super good and different. I didn't try a milkshake but they have a million and one flavors so you can come up with just about anything.

Highly over-hyped tourist trap of sorts. Plenty of locals mill through here too, much to my surprise. It's been a while since I last visited. I will say that I understand why people get sucked in. It has a very classic 50's American diner-style vibe to it, all decked out in red and chrome with a bunch of vintage Americana all over the walls, and they do cater to kids with cute little paper cars that they serve their meals in. The food isn't great though. The burgers aren't that great (honestly prefer Central Park burgers over these, back in the day when I actually ate burgers) I most likely won't ever be back.

Messy. Disorganized. Slow. Expensive. And that doesn't begin to describe the very average food. Dropped in on a Sunday evening, 45 minutes before closing. I was greeted by a half-empty restaurant with a number of messy tables sorely in need of bussing + a used straw & a couple of dirty napkins on the floor. As I sat down at the counter, a cordial gentleman wearing a Cheeburger Cheeburger company shirt identified himself as the General Manager and said someone would be with me shortly to take my order. And then, I sat. And sat. And sat. All the while the aforementioned cordial GM stood 10 feet away intently working on a laptop going through what appeared to be the day's sales tkts. No offer to take my order; no offer to get me something to drink; no effort to bus tables or clean up the mess; nor did he any of the 4 servers I watched walk by me at least a half-dozen times to stop by and take my order. Finally I made eye contact with one of the servers as she walked by me for the third time. She asked if anyone had taken my order. No. Feeling sorry for me, she wrote down my simple to-go order of a burger, fries, and a shake. And then, I sat some more. At 9pm, 45 minutes after I arrived, the cordial GM switched off the front window 'Open' signs. No effort to bus the still-messy tables nor did he pick up the clearly visible trash strewn around the floor. And I was still waiting for my order in a now 85% empty restaurant. And now my genial server returns to tell met the fries were "almost ready". At one hour, my order was still missing. Finally my genial server brought my simple, one-bag to-go order. It had taken 65 minutes in a less-than-half-full restaurant to get a burger, fries, and a shake. Returning to our hotel 5 minutes away, I shared our meal with my companion. Her comments: "What took so long?" Great question. On yeah - the burger, fries, and shake: very, very average. Steak-n-Shake does it all so much better for one-third the price. And their service: a million miles better. Other than a cool name, I don't see how this place stays open. We were not impressed. At all.

Great service. First time there and our waiter was personable and gave tips on things to try and check out local attractions. Burger is as big as you make it, doesn't have to be huge. Shake was great and me and my wife split it easily. Bathrooms could use some work

Horrible just horrible, music was way to loud, service sucked and the seating is so tight your chair hits the chair of the person behind you. To top it all off a few if the waiters and the manager reeked of a freshly smoke d joint!!! They advertise them selves as a family place. NEVER again it's been 10 years since the last time but I will never go back.

Not sure why I haven't yet written a review. We visit this place for lunch almost every time we're in Chattanooga for the aquarium. We really like it. They make a great hamburger. Free choice of 1 cheese, more costs extra. Some premium toppings like bacon cost $1 more. They offer a TON of free add-ons. Makes for a really yummy burger. And the portions are a very good size. We usually get the basket of fries & rings to split. Not the best rings I've ever had, but they're good. One con I have is that they serve Pepsi products. Boohiss. So I opt for water or sweet tea. Watch out: I got a flavored (blackberry) sweet tea yesterday & it was soooooo sweet! But it was very good. I don't recall ever having a problem with service here even when they are crowded which they tend to be at lunch on a Saturday. Give 'em a try. I think you'll be pleased.

Great service, fun atmosphere, ok food. Basically it's a grease pit but it's a fun place if you're a tourist. Absolutely great for kids but I wouldn't go for a couples date night or an adult night out. So greasy. Belly bomb. Regret buying the groupons... This place is "one and done" for me. Not really wanting to go back any time soon. Milkshakes were ok.

As advertised, you get excellent quality and taste. The also tell you that it's not fast food, which is true, but it was very , very slow the night we were in there and the service was a bit harried, although not unfriendly or really lacking. Building your own salad really worked for me, as the burgers did for my wife and son. The choice of dining outside and people watching is also a nice touch, especially with a location so close to the bridge heading to North Shore. In a downtown full of chains you can do much worse than this.

Went on a Wednesday night at 7pm. Place was packed. Ordered three shakes. Long wait and 1 came out; found out they were out of vanilla and could only make chocolate or strawberry shakes. Alright. Ordered fried chicken salad, was told they had none. Got grilled chicken instead; some was undercooked, so I fished it out before my kid could eat it. Sweet potato fries came out long after the meal. At least they were good. Service was confusing. Server offered a kid shake for my daughter, so I said yes, then she said I couldn't get that size since I didn't order a kids meal. Maybe don't offer it, then? Had to ask twice for a high chair. Server stopped two places with our food before delivering it. I honestly didn't expect a lot from this restaurant, but it was pretty poor in terms of food selection, food quality, and service.

we had a table of 14 and maybe 2 or 3 out of the group were pleased with the meal. Sad. My fried pickles were so soggy... why fry anything unless you get the crispness as a compromise to the toxicity of greasiness? a friends burger was underdone...the whole inside was pink--too pink and my husbands was too well done and not the right one. He was too hungry to wait for a fix, though. My salad greens were very wilty and some leaves were turning brown . On the upside, I did get to try an Eggcreme drink, so that was memorable, but not something I'd want again. The service was great and well-intentioned and I don't blame the waiter for the food.... our waiter even tried to make up for the fact they did not have sweet potato fries, which I desperately wanted, by making me a birthday shake with too much stuff in it to recall, but I gave it to another guy in the group who wanted another cowmilk shake. Oh... I tasted someone's PB&J shake and it was quite tasty :) Next visit to Chattanooga will be have this joint on my eating intinerary.

I'll agree with Jason that the customer svc. is off the charts our waiter was super friendly & quick. Everyone order something a little different but stuck to what they are known for & that's there burgers. There is a little wait on the food since the items are made fresh to order. Surprised to see the bad reviews they try hard and seem to know what they are doing.

Ehh, This place was OK... Maybe the hype by friends and co-workers made me expect more. I had... drum roll... a cheeseburger. Which I suppose if I'd never had a cheeseburger before I might have been impressed. The problem; I've had a cheeseburger before, and this rated up there with a McDonald's 1/4 pounder. Edible, but not special. I really don't know what more to say about it. As a side i also had onion rings. These were pretty good, but again, nothing to write about. End of the story; If you have nothing better to eat it will do. However for the price you might as well go to McDonalds and save a few bucks.

Walked in, there was a line out the door and nobody sitting at the counter. Asked if I could sit there and was told they're the best seats in the house. Ordered about 4 things between me and the wife. Pretty much everything except the shake had at least one thing wrong with it. Wrong salad dressing, wrong cheese, forgot the sauce with the wife's order. Counter seats are located about 2 inches too close to the tables, as such I spent my time there being bumped by servers going back and forth. Lunch was interrupted ~4 times to give someone a hand for managing to overeat and get their picture taken. It became a running joke that that was the easiest eating challenge to win. I liked the place, but it is sort of important to actually get what you order, more so when it's busy. I really did dig the place and the people, but the veggie burger was just a black bean veggie burger and the toppings were not particularly popping. I'd go back, not when it's busy though and I probably wouldn't sit at the counter as being bumped into on stationary seats is really annoying (the seats don't move, it's not like I pushed them out into the walking path. Also my back isn't fat) I was inclined to give it a meh, but it was a pretty decent experience with nice staff. I don't crave anything I had there though, so no real inclination to get back.

Not the best burger I've ever had, but not bad either. I like the fa ct that you can choose your toppings and they're unlimited. I also like the fact that they have different size burgers available. Their sweet potato fried are pretty good.

Food was great, but host was horrible. We were there on a busy day, so we expected to wait. We waited for 52 minutes for a table while others that arrived after us were seated first! I was in a party of four, and couples (2 people parties) were seated at tables with four chairs when they arrived several minutes after us. A total of six separate parties were seated before us when their arrival time was later than us. This makes no sense to me. I noticed that this happened to another four person party as well. This restaurant would have easily gotten five stars if not for the horrible service from the host.

Personally, I do not think it gets much better than this place, if you're looking for a burger that is. The atmosphere is retro with pastel colors and old school, metal tube framed tables and chairs, along with the music to match. I ordered a half pound hamburger. You can add as many toppings off the list as you would like and for free (I'm sure it's included in the cost of the burger, of course.) There is supposedly over 8 million possible combinations. I just got something more "regular" but it was one of the best burgers I have had. Very few places make a burger this good. Let me tell you too.. If you are familiar with The Varsity in and around the Atlanta area, then you will know what I'm talking about when I say this. The onion rings at this place are hands down the best onion rings I have had in any restaurant and rival that of The Varsity. They do not have the same batter of course; but it's real close. Eat 'em while they are hot! You can't go wrong with these. The medium fed the 3 of us perfectly. My sweet tea was served in a mason jar. I think I plowed through about 6 of them. The chocolate shake I had (like the burgers, there are a ton of flavors to try) was outstanding. A terrific shake to be sure. The service was spot on. Checking up on us at a good pace and keeping my tea full at all times. If you are at the Aquarium, this a place to go if you are looking for a burger. If you are out front of the Aquarium, it's down to the left right off of Market. When I'm back in town again, this will be an option. It was outstanding.

There isn't necessarily anything WRONG with Cheeburger Cheeburger, but there really isn't anything that spectacular about it. It's definitely not the best burger place in Chattanooga, by any means, the service isn't fantastic, and it isn't a quick service restaurant. It DOES, however, allow for great customization. Ton's of different combinations allow for the most versatile burger or wrap in the city. If you have a specific craving, go ahead and check it out. If you just want an incredible burger, try somewhere else.

Last year on almost exactly this date I came in and tried the 1 Lb Burger to get my picture up on the wall. Imagine my surprise when I returned only to find out that they aren't even up a year?! I asked and they said they take them down as soon as the wall fills up. What kind of accomplishment is that?! If there are so many of them that they don't even last on the wall a year, what's the big deal? Combined with the fact that our waiter was COMPLETELY Disinterested in us, it took forever for the food to arrive, Or shakes were in the metal mixing cylinders and not glasses, and when or burgers finally arrived EVERY BURGER WAS WRONG. For a specialty burger place that has a bunch of different ingredients they want you to try out, having them be wrong when you get them is a grievous offense in this reviewers humble opinion. Not once, not twice, but THREE times in the same sitting!? Having only been here twice I can't really be the best person to say how consistent this place is, I just know 50% of the time the service has been disappointing.

Was hesitant about eating here as I don't care for giant burgers but was pleasantly surprised when looking at their menu so we stayed. Service was off the charts great! Greeted right off the bat, sat quickly, and someone went over the menu with us. Given this was a burger joint, I guess I was expecting average service with the "get in and get out" mentality, but was happy to see that was never the case. My wife had a burger and onion rings. Both were insanely good. The burger was not sitting in a puddle of grease either which was a big plus. She said that it was one of the best burgers she has had in quite a long time. I loved the different options, such as build your own salad. It is nice to know that you can pick something other than just a burger and also customize it to your liking. I had a turkey burger salad with my own toppings and it was flawless. All around great place and the next time I am in town I wont think twice about going here to eat.

Wow! I'm shocked to log on and see all of the positive reviews. I found myself in Chattanooga yesterday with two friends. One of them suggested we go to Cheeseburger Cheeseburger for lunch. It was around 1:20 when we arrived and they were very busy. I put our names on the list and we had to stand outside - there really isn't a waiting area...only about 8 people can stand there inside and wait. After a few minutes (maybe 10), we were able to get inside to wait. The host (which was the 3rd person to take names) looked at me asked if he could put me on the list. I told him I was on the list, but he couldn't find my name. When he finally did, he said, "oh, we called you but you didn't answer". I wanted to say "well, did you try outside, where about 25 other people are waiting?" But, he said he'd seat us next, so I let it go. The service was erratic. At first our waitress seemed good, but she forgot about us a lot, often telling us (as she was passing by our table) that she'd be right with us. But, obviously she forgot as she'd return to several other tables several times before coming back to ours. We all 3 ordered simply - we all 3 had burgers and a side, with one person also getting a milkshake. After we ordered, it was a good 35 - 40 minutes before the food arrived. It took another 10 minutes for my friend to get his milkshake. But, all the other tables were getting their shakes quickly and before the food. The food: we all ordered our burgers medium well. mine was burnt to a crisp. It was was past well-done to the point it was dry and almost crunchy! My friends' burgers were slightly better, but still overcooked. We finally left at 2:45 (and we're fairly fast eaters). The only redeeming thing about the place was the onion rings. They were truly awesome. But, it takes more than great onion rings to get me to return. I'm glad the other reviewers had a positive experience, as for me, there are better places to spend my money.

Glad I went back for another try. This is not fast food! Not fast food! The first time I went we had a deadline and had to push it. They have signs up saying not fast food but the first time we missed them. This time it was for a burger. The staff is great. Very friendly and my ice tea was never empty and included a to go cup. At 2.49 per drink it should have. The burger was cooked perfectly and all the toppings applied. It was huge as I was greedy. Wife had the patty melt and it made her eyes roll back. We split a combo basket of fries and rings and it was more than enough for two. Fries cooked crispy and real onions in the rings. Nice! Did I say friendly staff and the manager did stop by to check on us. Saw families enjoying their food and the milk shakes will keep the kids happy. We used a bogo coupon from the school book. It would have been worth it even at full price.

No wait...slow time of year. Service from Tiffany was very good! Order, drinks, and food all came quickly. We had the Famous Pounder...and other burgers plus chicken fingers. Everyone enjoyed their food. Sweet potato and regular fries were also very good. Two shakes were hand made and a little better than average. Overall, a great local place for people around the aquarium area...instead of chain places you can get back home.

The food was awesome but what made the night was our amazing waiter Adam. He was friendly, patient and kept the drinks full. The prices are reasonable and the decor is fun and a conversation starter on its own. Definitely will be returning with the hubby and kids. It's kid friendly without forgetting the adults.

Not wanting to blow my calorie-allotment for my trip, I opted for a salad with dressing on the side. Maybe it was my fault to ordering such a plain dish, but my salad was nothing remarkable, though it was completely edible, as I downed the whole thing. BF got a burger, though he did not opt to go for a 1-pounder, as even that intimidated him. He ended up with a half-lb. patty and he seemed to thoroughly enjoy his burger and fries (what guy doesn't eat just about any burger/fries, though?). Good place to just grab a casual bite to eat while you're exploring downtown Chattanooga.

If you read all my reviews, you know that I do love me some Cheeburger. This is the third Cheeburger Cheeburger location I've visited and reviewed. Cheeburger burgers are the best, they are 100% all natural, vegetable fed, American Angus beef. First, you pick the size of your sandwich (Classic, Serious, Delirious, etc) or even their Famous Pounder! If you can polish off their "pounder", they'll take your picture and put it on the wall. This is something I did at the location in Auburn (when I was in college)... probably not something I could do today. Next, you'll pick your cheese. They let you pick one for free.... they'll even make your Cheeburger without cheese for no extra charge. Finally you pick your toppings. Most of them are free (except sauteed items and bacon). There are so many different toppings that you can put on your cheeseburger, if you can't find the toppings you want, it's your own fault. I mean, who else would let you put peanut butter on your cheeseburger? (Yes, that's an option). As a side item, I highly recommend their onion rings. They are so crispy and oh so artery-clogging good. And your drink? Remember the slogan on the wall "Pepsi, Pepsi -- No Coke". If you're a Pepsi fan (as I am) you're in luck... because there's no Coke here. The decor of Cheeburger Cheeburger is that of a 50's diner, with 50's memorabilia on the wall (old concert posters, 50's photos, etc). So, what would be a Cheeburger dinner without a milk shake? They claim that there are over 375,000 combinations of flavors that you can put together to make your shake. I only braved one: Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana. It was quite good, but one of the flavors was a little over-powering... I think it was the peanut butter... I liked the little chunks of fresh banana I got occasionally through my straw. The service here was decent. Our server wasn't very personable, but he kept the drinks topped off and brought us what we needed when we needed/wanted it. I really enjoyed the meal at Cheeburger Cheeburger... just thinking about it makes me want to go there for lunch today!

NEVER again it's been 10 years since the last time but I will never go back.

Not the best burger I've ever had, but not bad either. I like the fa ct that you can choose your toppings and they're unlimited. I also like the fact that they have different size burgers available. Their sweet potato fried are pretty good.

Very good food. Average host. Was gonna get shake but saw lady making them with no gloves fingering fruits. Good waiter. Would go again.

At this location, I probably had the first truly great cheeseburger I ever ate in my life. It will always have a special place in my heart for that.

Mushroom app w horseradish dip was delish! Burgers were gobbled down by whole table. Little ones had grilled cheese which were really good. Great service- gave us our milkshakes in to-go cups since we were heading to IMAX. Will be back next time we are in Chattanooga!

We had a great tasting meal here but the waiter was slow with getting our drinks. He sat another table, took their order and brought their drinks before we got our drinks or order in. I love this chain and the food is always good.

Great food, great shakes. Total build-your-own environment. You get to customize your whole meal to get exactly what you want. The onion rings were excellent. The kids loved the build your own shakes, though one overdid it with too many ingredients.
