This is one of my favorite breweries! Both times I went it wasn't too crowded and we received great service. The beer was of course delicious. But we were pleasantly surprised to find out that the food was equally as delicious! You could tell the beer cheese was fresh and the pretzel was made at a local bakery. The beer-battered chicken tenders were the best I've ever had. The whole time we were eating and drinking we were playing Trouble and Yahtzee... It was the perfect place to catch up with old friends!

I have only eaten here a couple of times, but I recommend it to anyone visiting. First, they have great beers, brewed in house. Second, the food is good. Bar food, but elevated and cared for just enough to make you feel like you had something nice and tried something new. Lastly, they are a local company that takes great efforts to be good from top to bottom. If you are near the stadium or just in town, skip past a few places and head over to CBC!

Love this place. They have a great location in the newest, hippest area in town, the Southside. It's a new building but has that old building feel. Very minimalistic/industrial look with lots of wood too. Went there for team trivia night, which was upstairs. At the moment I happened to have a lame foot and hard for me to walk upstairs, as they don't have an elevator. The area upstairs is cool with some couches and small high top tables made out of barrel lids. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. I couldn't decide where to sit and changed places a couple of times and they didn't seem annoyed by that. LOL. It did get pretty full upstairs for trivia and a little loud, but not unbearable. I must confess I'm not a big beer person. I like it in small doses but I have to really be in the mood. I did try the Chickbock and it was good, but I didn't seem to be in the mood. They do small batches, I think there were only about 8 or so beers on the menu that day. They do have a smallish food menu that is very carb heavy. Hey, I love carbs, but they don't love me. Or I should say they love me too much. I did have the chicken tenders with the sweet potato waffle fries and both were excellent. The chicken tenders were just that, very tender and juicy. Not dried out as some places get, but very moist. I had to get the sweet potato fries as my friend insisted. I'm nothing if not a good friend, so I obliged and let those carbs come right on in. Let me tell you, those are some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. The waffle style really gave it some substance, they were thick but not heavy. Sweet but not too sweet. I would really insist that you try them. Overall this is a cool hipster hang out. Will come back for sure.

You might put this at a 4 (even a 5 or a 2)* if you meet certain criteria - namely that you *might* be able to go here and *have fun* if you're say, not 30. If that makes sense... Cool place, handy location if you're in the middle/south part of downtown. NPWH and at the bar especially. And the upstairs is super cool for a late night visit if you are with a group and want to hang out apart from the bar. Remember, though, that * bump if applicable - in either direction.

What a great find! We stopped by for some beers and a snack after an afternoon in the military park. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about their beers and took great care of us. Highly recommend the margarita flatbread! So delicious!

Came here for the CFC watching party. Really cool atmosphere and good food. I'm not a huge beer person, but it would feel wrong to get liquor at a brewery, so I had a Pilsner. The pretzel and cheese appetizer is pretty tasty, but eat the cheese while it's warm, before it gets gelatinous and thick. My chicken tenders were good too, and the waffle fries were HEAVILY seasoned. Service was good but not stellar. Worth a stop in, for sure! Next time I'm going to try the sweet potato waffle fries with a burger.

We were here late after a football game. Food was good. We had burger, waffle fries, salad, chicken tenders and grilled cheese. Sweet potato waffle fries were really good. We thought the chicken was the best plate at the table. Beer was good too. We had a flight and all were very tasty. Not a huge fan of the habanero beer. It was like a pepper and a grapefruit got mixed together. Not bad, but not my favorite.

This brewery is very walkable if you are visiting from out of town and are staying at the Staybridge Suites. The beer is good and they ususally have a rotating tap or two of seasonal brews. There isn't really one specific beer they have that stands out to me but I can't say I have had a bad beer either except the habanero....which overall I have to say I don't understand how this ever became a trend across the craft beer industry in the first place because its disgusting. The food is good, not great, but reasonably priced and satisfactory. The employees are all very nice and not too pushy about making conversation but they will chat with you if you want as well. They have lots of special events or themed nights and i think they do trivia on Wednesday? Thursday? Im pretty sure its Wednesday but call ahead just in case. They have outdoor seating so if you're bringing your pup you can claim a spot out there, they seemed very dog friendly. Overall, I enjoy the chill laid back atmosphere, consistently good beer and since I'm always visiting from out of town the accessibility from my hotel is so convenient.

Nice people that work here actually will come up and talk to you. I got the "flight" which is a 7 samples of beers for $6. They are all good and are actually made and brewed here. Yeah this is a definite recommend for anybody that likes beer and breweries. They actually have tours here on the weekends . Tours are during the day so get here early.

Good beer and food, big supporters of CFC local soccer team. Pretzel and beer cheeses is a must. My favorites are the ipa , hooligan lager and the maibock.

It's difficult for me to describe how much I love this place. The beer is excellent, the food is great, the servers are always super friendly, and they have games! On this visit we were upstairs for Wednesday night team trivia. Come a little early for this, as some of the tables upstairs are super tiny! We did a lot of shuffling to keep food, drinks, and trivia cards on the table. Their menu is relatively small, but everything I've tried has been good. My favorite item on the menu is the sweet potato fries. Once I tried these, I have no choice but to order them every time I come. They are absolutely amazing, quite possible the best I've had. On my latest visit I ordered their market burger cooked medium. It did come out more medium-well, but it was still very good. And of course I have to mention the beer. I definitely recommend getting a beer sampler because they have so many great ones. That being said, I always come back to my favorite - the Chickbock.

By far one of my favorite breweries I've been to. If you like spicy things you must get the hot mama. Its a habanero pale ale that is the most successfully spicy beer I've ever had. Food is great and everyone who works there is super chill and down to earth. Very happy atmosphere. Oh man I wish I had a pint of that hot mama in my hand right now.

Everything here is good. I'm a huge fan of the waffle sweet potato fries. My favorite option on the menu is the "Hot Chick." I'm not usually a fan of buffalo chicken or Bleu cheese but they obviously know what they're doing because it's delicious. Thursday evenings are my favorite because there's always live music. Danimal and Ian, two local musicians, fill the space with nothing less than amazing music. With Danimal on the guitar (watch for when he uses the slide... awesome!!) and Ian on the mandolin, I can't believe we chattanoogans get to listen for free. Oh yeah, and of course the beer!!! If you're the adventurous type, try the habenero IPA/pilsner depending on which one they have. This beer is no joke! If spicy isn't your thing tell one of the friendly bartenders you'd like to try a few of their "brewed in house" beers and find your personal favorite! Highly recommend this joint!

Everything about this place is GREAT. Try the pretzel--it's delicious. Also, our server, Chloe, was excellent & very attentive. Beer is great here too, of course! Love the IPA & Oktoberfest!

Delicious, innovative beers and a pretzel that will ruin all other pretzels for you...for life....seriously...have a pretzel and a beer.

Chatt brewing does a great job. Hill city ipa is very tasty. Great pub food menu with unique items and very fast ticket times. Staff is friendly and the space is nothing short of beautiful. Highly recommend.

Such a great spot. Very relaxed. Great staff. Board games. Jumbo jenga. We went Wednesday right when they opened. Not crowded. Great beer.

Their beer is excellent. I am very impressed especially with their Kolsch, which is a rarity in the South. Their seasonals have a great mouth feel with a good balance between malt and hops, which is always consistent with the style. Moreover, they care as much about the food as they do the beer. Everything on the menu is high quality and fairly priced. This place earns a great reputation on its own merits.

I've never written a Yelp review before, but Chattanooga Brewing Co. has driven me to it. My fiancé and I went on Valentine's evening. The staff was so nice and generous. Our bartender compensated us a flight since they were out of one beer. They even gave us an impromptu tour. And their beers are great!

One of our favorite date night spots! Nice, relaxed atmosphere with board games if you are looking for a cool place to hang out for awhile. Their beer list offers a wide variety and their food menu offers many choices as well. Everything I've eaten there so far has been delicious. This place should be on your "must try" must!

I am a craft beer geek with a serious problem...wherever I go, I simply have to check out the local purveyor of liquid manna. This place did not disappoint. They seem to focus on a few staple beers rather than offering a ton of variety. In this case that is a good thing because what they have, they do very, very well. The building itself is also very impressive and they have a limited food menu which complements their brews. The beer is the star of the show here as it should be.

This place is worth the trip. Fun, industrial, and brand new in this location, it sits opposite the stadium and will become a catalyst for positive change in the neighborhood. A limited but tasty food menu pairs with a deep and diverse beer selection. No guest taps, all their own brews. The only negative was a basically raw hamburger that had been ordered medium rare. I'm convinced by the quality of service and place that this is an anomaly but it cost them a star.

I heard this is a new location for them and I say bravo for picking such a stellar spot and building such a lovely chill brewery. I really dig the long cement tables that can fit 30 people each (at least). On busy days I can see these tables fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. The patio is great as well. Large open space with pretty of room for your arms to pick that beer glass up and lift it to your mouth. I noticed a lot of people heading to the upstairs area, but didn't make it up there. The womans bathroom is clean and spacious though I hope they add some purse hooks soon in the stalls. On to the food and beer. I tried the habanero pilsner, which was excellent. Very smooth with good spice to go along with it. I'm not sure I could drink more than a pint of it, but it was tasty all the same. I also had the chickbock, which was a great drinking beer. I would order it again for sure. The food was probably the highlight though. I was with a bunch of Tennessee brewers so I'm pretty sure most of the menu was ordered, but I'm on a strict diet and could only try a little bit of the food offered. I will say that the chicken tenders and waffle fries (regular and sweet potato) looked amazing. The jalapeno deviled eggs were the bees knees. I'm pretty sure I could have polished off 2 orders had I not been trying to rein things in. The other amazing thing I tasted on the menu was the spent grain pretzel. Holy fuck that thing was good! It is also gigantic. It sort of tasted like an empty knish. It had been deep fried which allowed the inside to be a little soft and doughy and the outside to be crispy. So good and ask for some mustard on the side. I thought it tasted better dipped in the mustard vs the beer cheese that comes with it. All in all I would come back here in a heartbeat if I was in Chattanooga.

fantastic beer! I love the brown ale, chickbock, and black lager (tough to choose a favorite). go for the hot pilsner if you want something really different. small menu in their tasting room and the food is also excellent. the giant pretzel made with their spent grain is amazing and everything that I've had there has been excellent. love this place!

LOVE this place! Plenty of seating downstairs looking into the brew room, outside on the patio, or go upstairs to the sports bar and watch the tv's. Super location across from Finley Field, lots of street parking (and the place is packed on a Saturday). Really friendly staff, great craft beer and the food is excellent. Loved the buffalo chicken and that Pretzel!!!

Outstanding -- good food and great beer. The IPA was wonderful and both the flatbreads and the burger of the day were delicious. The e tra treat was the tour if the brewery. Everyone was friendly including the other patrons. We are from out of town but hope we can get back soon

We went here on a random weekend trip to Chattanooga and we were so, so impressed with this place. We're originally from northern IL where we were unknowingly spoiled by the abundance and availability of microbrews and craft beers, which we didn't realize until we moved to Nashville and can't get much that is both local + delicious. Chattanooga Brewing Company was great because the beers were amazing, but the staff was equally (if not more) amazing. Both of our servers were incredibly knowledgeable, and one was a brewer who showed us the place, gave us samples, and talked to us about beers. Get a flight--you won't be let down. We literally liked every single beer that we tried which is a rarity for us. We can't wait to find a local place by us in Nashville that serves these beers! Definitely a must-do for anyone who loves beer and finds themselves in Chattanooga for long enough to have a beer.

Cool atmosphere with tailgating games happening inside. Good beer and good food, although it's a very limited menu.

Three words: vidalia onion jam. Noms. The beer was pretty good, the service was incredible, and the food was dank. Overall a good little brewery. I do wish there was a bit more shade on the patio, but my dog made due seeking solace in my shadow. Oh yeah, they allow pups! That's always bonus points.

They do a great IPA and a great pale ale ... Be sure to get the pretzel with bock beer cheese ... Atmosphere a little too much like an Applebee's for my taste.

Best chicken tenders I've ever had!! I'm not a huge beer drinker, but came in here this past Saturday night with a group of friends, on sort of a pub crawl. We came in starving and decided to order the chicken tenders and fries to share. Well, these things were SO good, light, crispy, beer battered, juicy...that we scarfed them down and had to order more! Oh they were sooo good! We are from Knoxville, and my husband proclaimed they are "road trip worthy!"

This is a wonderful place! The atmosphere is so friendly, the waitstaff was very attentive and the beer was delicious. We were in town from MA and I couldn't wait to try their Habanero Pilsner aka Hot Mama - I had it 2 years ago last time we were in TN and searched at home for one as good but nothing came close. Now the best part, the food - the pretzel was huge, enough for 4 people, fresh and warm. Sweet potato waffle fries + the BLT were yummy. Portions are generous and we finished everything on our plate. Best of all the folks who work there are genuinely interested in beer, their customers and running a cool business. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town.
