Nice ambiance. Very metro but casual. Nice outdoor area. There's a fireplace, ceiling fans and TV's galore. Pop music playing but not annoying. Martinis must be their forte.

The service was good, waitress was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere and beer selection were nice. My wife and I started with an appetizer of tortilla chips with a trio of guacamole, salsa, and queso. The "trio" was okay, but the chips were cold, stale, and inedible. Seemed that they had been fried earlier and left sitting in oil. We had portabella burgers ... mediocre at best. Rather than a grilled portabella, it was several slivers of mushroom; overwhelmed by the bun. It seemed that others were happy with their food, maybe we made unlucky choices.

Great stop to hang. Gives you an Atl feel! Drinks were very on point. We sat outside so that was very nice and the waiter was very friendly and helpful.

Could not get any service.we were seated and then no one ever came to greet us or serve us. We sat there about 15 min. While servers and other employees walked by and did not even acknowledge we were there. We eventually just walked out.

Location attached to mall it's really a great spot to hang out after shopping or work. Layout is very cool with bar in the middle, very large area and plenty of seating. Drinks can be pricy if your not there when they are running drink specials. They have daily specials, happy hour and others at time. Huge beer selections and good bar food options. I am not a big fan of mall bars but this place is segregated easily and parking not bad most days except around Christmas. If your visiting the area you should check this out yourself.

When they first opened a few years ago, I had met the owner and it was quite a hoping place. The food was awesome and they had live music every so often. I quit going about a year ago because I thought the service and food had gone down somewhat and it did not seem friendly anymore. I was there tonight and Sunday night with friends and it was much better. They have outside covered patio with a fireplace and they can also close in the patio if inclement weather. Inside has a large bar and lots of high top tables, regular tables and booths. It is at one of the Hamilton place entrances so easy in and out. They have about 12 selection of draught beer and a full bar. However, drinks are a little higher than most other places. However the happy hour 4-7 has really good selection of appetizers at a very good price and drinks are discounted. Also on Tuesday it is burger night and I believe burgers are like a dollar each.. however by the time you add cheese, lettuce tomato, it runs closer to 5 dollars, which is still pretty good and I have had the burgers and they are very good. I am going to try simplify my reviews because probably a little long at times so here goes: Parking - At the Hamilton Place Mall so parking is not a problem; except during Christmas then parking and traffic can be a challenge. Service - Was prompt and courteous Food - Had boneless wings; once with buffalo sauce and once with barbeque. They give you a pretty good helping of small bite size chicken along with celery and carrot sticks. I suggest you try the flat beads because they are all tasty. We also had the fries and tater tots; tater tots were just like momma made (the frozen bag ones) and the fries are OK but nothing to write home about and are kind of bland. It is a clean and friendly place with a good selection of food so I give it a 3+

Fine, but nothing special. The hostess and my waitress were very friendly and attentive. The food was fine but nothing great. The mango margarita was mediocre (although I must admit the waitress recommended the watermelon margarita, which I declined) and the California Chicken Club was pretty good. The tater tots were hot and crispy but a little too salty. I thought the music was kind of odd, but I don't spend much time in bars like this one, so maybe the playlist was normal. But here's what I heard in one half hour... Iggy Azalea, Beastie Boys, Florida Georgia Line, Bruno Mars, and Strange Talk. I found it kind of obnoxious. Anyway, I wouldn't go again. But the service was good and Bar Louie is fine for what it offers.

This is one of my more frequented places in the Chattanooga area. I always sit at the bar and am greeted by friendly staff. It's a welcoming atmosphere that is great for grabbing a bite to eat and a cool drink after a long day at work. THE FOOD: I really love their menu. It's fun and very well-balanced with a variety of options. The Loaded Tots are AMAZING! The burgers are probably my favorite entree to get here mostly because not a lot of places serve interesting and tasty burgers. The Stockyard Burger is my absolute favorite and is a must try! THE DRINKS: The bartenders are definitely well-trained and are very personable. The fact that I can get Stella Artois on draft is shocking considering not many places carry it in this area. Their beer taps have a good variety and it's nice not to only have "bud light, michelob ultra, and coor's light" as their draft options. Their cocktails are also very well prepared and delicious! OVERALL: It's a fun atmosphere with excellent food and drinks, and a wonderful staff. Great dining experience!

Bar Louie has become my Happy Hour hangout with my co-workers. Love the drink specials and the appetizer specials. Last night was a tad disappointing though. There were 7 of us in our group and it was $5 beer bucket night, which is a great deal, meaning you get 5 beers for $5 or $1 a beer. I'm not a big beer person so I usually opt for the $5 martini special. This time I had the Tickled Pink X-Rated Fusion Liqueur, DeKuyper Peachtree, cranberry and orange juice. It was so yummy, I believe I had 4 or 5 of them. Soooooo tasty. For appetizers we ordered the tempura shrimp, which was very good; the calamari, which was also good and tasty; the hummus plate, and here is where it starts to go wrong. Usually it's very delicious. This time the pita bread was hard, and there was hardly any hummus...a very small portion. We also ordered the artichoke spinach dip. It was so bland. At the very least it needed some salt. We all ordered dinner as well and I ordered the mac & cheese. Now I've had it here before as a side dish to a sandwich, this time I got the entrée portion. Just mac & cheese, no additions. I was very disappointed in it. It wasn't very cheesy for a 4 cheese sauce, and I could literally taste the flour that made the base, meaning the sauce wasn't cooked enough. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their entrée. Ranging from the seared ahi tuna, to voodoo chicken, to fish and chips. I hope this was just an off night and that the quality isn't going down. I will say the service is always great. Very friendly and helpful servers. Work on that mac & cheese and the appetizers, Bar Louie. I hate to change Happy Hour spots.

I was severely disappointed with this place. I ordered a glass of sangria that tasted like cherry medicine. I then tried another flavor but it didn't taste much better. I then ordered a chicken plate and that was the worst chicken I had ever had. It was very dry and very hard. My boyfriend ordered chicken tortilla soup and he had the same issue with his pieces of chicken. The service was bad, the waitress disappeared and it was really slow!! I don't recommend this place at all.

Worst burger in town! Service not so great either. Check your bill, I was overcharged on more than one occasion. A shame, since the atmosphere isn't bad.

My BBQ pulled pork sandwich was delicious. My wings were good and they actually remembered my extra buffalo sauce. However the ahi tuna sandwich was over cooked. This order was a To Go but the guys were very prompt in getting my order ready.

We eat here about every other month. We normally enjoy the buffalo chicken flat bread. Tonight it was below average. Could not even taste the buffalo sauce. We also had the Luigi Sndwich It was average. The hoagie roll was broken in several pieces and the sandwich just fell apart. Not very good. We will probably be looking for a new place to eat when we visit. I forgot, the fries were good. Staff was very nice. The food was just bad.

Been here a couple of times and the food is good to very good. The drinks are tasty but not very potent. I would give 4 stars except for two issues: In my most recent visit,I ordered a drink at 6:55. I was informed by the waitress that it was no longer happy hour even though the advertied happy hour time extended to 7:00 PM. I pointed out the time and she said "we always end it early." The second issue deals with tax on alcohol. Tennessee charges a 25% tax on alcohol. All other restaurants include the tax in their menu price. Bar Louie does not, it just shows up on your bill. I do not remember seeing this on the bar menu, and a look at the bar menu will assure you that the prices are Chattanooga market" prices so Bar Louie appears to be reaping an additional 25% profit on alcohol.

Thought we'd try out Bar Louie tonight. We walked by it the other day and it sorta reminded us of the Tavern at Phipps in Atlanta, appearance wise. (Sophisticated-looking place attached to a mall, although not a mall the stature of Phipps Plaza.) Anyhow, the place is no doubt very nice with a lot of TVs. Would be a nice place to enjoy a football game this Fall, but we won't be back. We got the "Trio" sampler of salsa, guacamole and cheese dip. Chips were room temp and a bit stale. Cheese dip was room temp and not that good. Guac was good, as was salsa. $7. Then we split one of their "flatbread" offerings, the buffalo chicken flatbread. It was just very average for $11. Not that hot. Place was empty. We also got a 20 oz. beer each. Domestic (Bud Light). $4.50 each. Total charges before taxes were $27. Here's the kicker. We were charged two taxes. One tax was the 9.25% state tax on the entire bill. Then we were charged another "tax" of $1.35. We called and asked about this after we got home. He said the state of Tennessee charges around 25% tax on alcoholic beverages and that most restaurants/bars choose to include this tax in their price of beer. So if you buy a beer for $4 at most places, the restaurant will pocket only $3 and will pay the state the 25% tax out of their own profit. Bar Louie chooses to add this 25% to the cost of the beer. So when you add it up, our 20 oz. domestic beers totaled about $5. 70 each! No thanks! They are dead in the water already with those prices. You can walk over to Big River and get much better beer and food for substantially less.

I am a huge fan of this place. The atmosphere is great along with the food. It's not the cheapest place in the world , but it's worth it. They have half priced appetizers during happy hour and $1 burgers on Tuesday.

Visited with a friend after a long day of shopping. Great martinis and food! We split the queso dip and pretzels. Both are a must! The bar tender's were very helpful and offered their opinions on drinks and food. One of the bartenders was somkin' hot..which added to the experience Very clean and modern feel to the inside. Staff is extremely friendly and they are encouraged to "mingle" and "chat" with the patrons..such a unique concept! Much smaller than the other Bar Louie's I've visited. Only downside is it's connected to the mall..if feels like you inside of a mall. The patio area overlooks the parking lot and the sun beams down on you..Overpriced $12 Bloody Mary..didn't taster very good, either. TV's inside and out..One of the coolest and longest bars in Chattanooga. Probably seats 40 people.

I was in town visiting family and wanted to try a new place for dinner. The menu here sounded good, so we gave it a try. It was a warm evening and we got to enjoy the patio without any wait. We ordered various cocktails and apps to start including the vegetable flatbread and trio of chips & dips. The flatbread was the best app of the night - the toppings to bread ratio was just right and the vegetables seemed fresh. The queso and guac (in the dip trio) were both fine - nothing wrong with them, but nothing memorable. The salsa/pico was very bland and boring. For the main course we ordered the mac & cheese and the chicken tacos. The mac & cheese was pretty basic and it was very bright fake cheese orange, which wasn't the most appealing. The tacos were decent and the accompanying rice and beans were delicious. The patio was great for people watching and our server was friendly and helpful all evening.

Weird location, high priced drinks and mediocre food. Being attached to the mall is not a place that makes you want to stay and enjoy yourself. The drinks and beer selection was not bad, but extremely overpriced. The boneless chicken wings were nothing special. Tasted like something frozen you'd get from the grocery store. They up charge $4 for chicken added to any salad, which is fine, but unfortunately it was salty, processed "fake" meat pushed together in these weird looking cubes. I expected fresh grilled chicken, and couldn't even eat more than two pieces. The shaved steak sandwich was ok, but overcooked and dry. Our server was nice and tried very hard, but he was just loud and obnoxious. It also took us a very long time to get our food, which is OK since it's a new restaurant and they are still working out some things. But I just expected more. For two people our check was over $60 (an appetizer, two drinks, a salad, and a sandwich). That is ridiculous especially because we left completely unsatisfied. Many other places in the area offer fresher more high quality food and the same type of drink selection but cheaper (and better environment). We won't be back. I highly doubt this place will last long here in Chattanooga, especially if they keep serving such low quality food.
