I had lunch here on a Saturday. The crowd was small and they did not have their buffet, which would appear to be their main feature. What is on the lunch menu is deep-fried seafood. As Abe Lincoln once said, "People who like this sort of thing will find this the sort of thing they like." Everything we had was well-prepared and tasty. I wonder if other items on the menu might be more interesting. I did not notice whether they have a defibrillator on the premises, but given the obscenely large portions of deep-fried food, it probably would be a good idea. The service was excellent -- friendly and efficient. The restaurant is enormous, so perhaps the buffet does draw large crowds. It seems a better choice than Red Lobster.

Good service but too much FRIED food. Son's burger was cooked more than a hockey puck. Overload on hush puppies. Oysters and clams had zero flavor. "World Famous" Chicken Tenders are only famous in their world. Need to change fry oil more frequently. Very little BBQ on that menu despite the name.

I had the New Orleans poboy with oysters. I think the cook cut 2 oysters in pieces, put gobs of batter on them to look large and called it an oyster poboy. I tasted oyster on a total of 2 bites, the remainder was just batter as far as I could tell. I do not recommend this restaurant. I informed my server, -whom I did not fault, and tipped her 20%- that I thought this was by far the worst oyster sandwich I had ever had. And it was.

An old fashioned seafood/barbecue family restaurant with friendly if somewhat slow service. Reasonable to cheap prices. Very large portions. The food is okay to good but overly sweet. My barbecue pork sauce was sweeter than any sauce I've ever had. The sliced pork was of good but not great quality. The taste barely came through the overpowering sauce. The hush puppies were too sweet. Cole slaw was well-chilled, fresh, and crisp. My hot brown roll was wonderful. My wife said her scallops were fine. We disagreed about the blackberry cobbler - good to my wife but jellylike and bland to me. If you go, think about skipping the barbecue and going with the seafood. And don't force yourself to eat dessert.

Always a must to eat here every August when in town for the races! Food is always good and price is fair. The staff is nice and the manager/owner always seems to be there and usually makes it a point to come around to all the tables to speak to the guest which is a nice touch in my opinion! A place I know we will always go back to!
