I'm sure there are lots of hole in the wall places in Nashville that are on a whole other level, but for this barbecue dilettante, Corky's is good enough. Lots of options for carnivores vores and omnivores and kid friendly, too.

Great barbecue, for sure. I especially like the beef brisket, and the pork is real good, too. I ordered tamales as a side, and they were unexpectedly huge and covered with chili. Could be a small meal. The onion loaf was a steaming hot mess, literally. I tried pulling them apart with my hands and all the coating crumbled off, leaving me holding a wet, limp piece of onion. Fork, same thing. Knife didn't work because the basket's mesh bottom wouldn't give a clean cut. I was left with a pile of crumbled coating mixed with limp onion pieces, and I'd need a spoon to eat it. From now on I'll stick to the basics - barbecue and tater salad and beans.

I was really looking forward to some TN BBQ as I am traveling from KC. I placed my order through Yelp and a hour later nothing came. I called the number that was sent in my "confirmation" email and the gentleman I talked to from DoorStep Delivery said the order had been cancelled due to it being ordered through Yelp. I had never been notified. I called Corky's and spoke with OJ a manager who told me that there was really nothing he could do. He offered me nothing for my wasted time and told me that I would have to order through DD again. I love Yelp, I use it all the time when traveling. I guess Corky's managers should be aware of who they contract to do their deliveries. As OJ stated to me, "This is all new to me too." Severely disgusted with Corky's lack of trying to fix a problem with their process.

Love the ribs, both dry and wet rub. Sides are fair except for the tasty pork and beans. Next best to Martins!

  • Andi B.

Great, upbeat customer service. Good food, a little pricey. We added the 1/4 rack of ribs for $4 and it was the size of a half rack. Very fresh....we will be back very soon....bad location, I always forget that it's there!

I always compare the ribs I eat to Pappy's in St. Louis and so far nothing compares, but Corky's corn & cornbread were delicious as was the pulled pork and buttered/grilled bun. What a great surprise when $6 was taken off our bill for Father's Day!

The quality of meat has gone down lately. Tonight I watched the cook through the drive thru window handle our meat and dishes without gloves... rubbing his shirt then adding some turkey to the salad. I called the manager... he didn't care and said that they wash their hands?

  • Frank K.

I will never be eating here again. While the service was acceptable, the quality of the food was not. I was violently ill the entire evening after having eaten here. I know it was this place because it's the only place I ate at the entire day, or the next for that matter, as it took me two days to fully recover. The culprit was undercooked meat, which I made the mistake of not checking.

On the the risk of being too obvious, terrible place for non-meat eaters (rest of my family was having a pre-bar mitzvah pork fest). I ordered the veggie platter and every item, save the spiced apples, was laced with pork. The rest of my party was pleased with their meals and the bread basket, a mix of rolls and cornbread, was enjoyed by all.

Saturday's, this place can't keep up and the quality in exceptional. Dry ribs are a must, but the sides are really solid along with other BBQ options.

Last night I decided I was in the mood for BBQ and saw this place on Yelp. Decided to go through the drive thru to just get a pulled pork BBQ sandwich and it was delicious! Workers in the drive thru were genuinely nice as well! Will come back.

Very surprised by my experience here. I had not expected to find a warm and inviting sit down restaurant with good BBQ and good service. Good selection on the menu, and I opted for a lunch portion of the pulled pork sandwich, greens, and $4 side of ribs. All of it was better than most BBQ joints and made we want to come back and try more menu items. Also, soliciting me to take a to go cup of my sweet tea added a star, nice touch.

The fam and I went on a Saturday afternoon. Between the four of us, we had tenders and fries, pulled turkey plate, baked potato/with pulled turkey and burger. The service was solid, with multiple visits to check on us. The food was not bad, but was not great. I've eaten here a few times and I generally expect a little more from Corkys, but a B grade is what I give them.

Excellent service and outstanding food. They even had live music! This is a must go location. I highly recommend it!

I'm a Texan, so BBQ means brisket to me, and that's the standard I always use to judge a place. Corky's brisket was the best I have had outside of Texas, which says a lot! It was lean, tender, and had great flavor. The only thing I could say needed improvement was it was lacking the smoky outer edge. I used the apple BBQ sauce on it, and it was excellent! I also got the 1/4 slab of dry rub ribs with my meal, and they were also very good. The meat was tender and smoky, and definitely not dry! For sides, I got the green beans (yummy with lots of pork in them), and the Mac and cheese (just ok). I enjoyed my meal so much that I actually came back another time while I was in town!

Good spot for smoked ribs. The service was excellent and one of my favorites when I come to the Nashville area. I highly recommend this place.

We had the food delivered to our hotel. We were concerned about food temp and how long it would be sitting around before it got to our room. It was fantastic! The pulled pork & brisket were excellent and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious! We had the hash brown casserole, mac & cheese and collard greens as sides, also delicious. We ordered the bread pudding and banana cobbler for dessert...they were not our favorites. We wouldn't order dessert again but we would DEFINITELY order dinner again!

  • Jackie B.

This is the best BBQ i've had...i'm still dreaming about it. I got the 3 meat platter with BBQ chicken, brisket, and sausage link. All were so yummy, I wanna come back so bad but I'm back in CA. Once I return to Nashville I will definitely be back!

Lynette, go back to eating ribs from Golden Corral! You confused princess, did you even get the dry rub ribs? Food is great, live music, nice people and decent prices. Cheers!

Corky's of Brentwood catered our neighborhood party of 80 on October 3, 2014. We went out of town the next day so I did not write a review earlier. The food was excellent and those attending the party raved about it. We had BBQ pulled pork, BBQ chicken, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw and cookies. I worked with Travis to schedule the event and he was professional and easy to work with. He and Barry delivered the food to the party and Barry stayed to serve and cleanup. Everything was perfect. Bottom line -- great food at a great value!

We enjoy gathering here with family. Their BBQ is good and has its own unique flavor. We also enjoy this location because it has local songwriters. (We do ask to sit away from the speakers.)

I really enjoy corkys I've never had a disappointing meal whatsoever here. The staff are always very friendly and willing to help. I typical order the smoked turkey or the chicken fingers and I highly recommend the hash brown caserol-yum!

The food is outstanding. The ribs were so juicy and tasty and we had the "mud rub". The fried corn was delicious and we must have the recipe. The cole slaw was nice and light and the bread was fresh and warm. The corn bread muffins were nice and sturdy and we really enjoyed everything in the pink Cadillac meal. Our waiter Barry was super nice and we were really happy with this little find. Thanks, dad!

Everything was great! Perfect for a fun, casual date and great for a family, too! Comfortable atmosphere, outstanding service, and fabulous barbecue! Lots more info in Tips, but this place was GREAT!! Great selection, and the ribs... Oh the ribs!

As a long-time Corky's (Memphis) fan, I have been twice disappointed in Corky's Nashville/Brentwood. The ribs do not have a deep, rich smoky flavor. It's as if they are not cooked properly, since the meat does not fall of the bone. Brisket is likewise flavorless; you can get MUCH better brisket in the Midwest of all places (what a shame that a southern restaurant cannot make better bar-b-que brisket than something in Kansas City). I don't recommend Corky's Nashville/Brentwood. It does not do bar-b-que justice and bears no culinary resemblance to its Memphis namesake.

I am a huge BBQ joint fan. Better if they are family owned and not the chains. This place blew me away. First with the food portion size. They serve some huge portions of the ribs. They are smoked over the wood and you can feel the taste of the burnt wood. If you eat too much you will have some after taste of wood choked through your clit in the mouth. So beware ! If you are really hungry go grab their combo ribs : - large ribs - 2 sides - 2 extra meats smoked over wood and a drink All for $18.50 is worth every penny!!!

  • Brandon S.

Im visiting from southern california and dont know anything about ribs except how to eat them... I got the pulled pork sandwhich which was amazing. My boss got the dry rub ribs and gave me one. It was amazing too... Compared to socal bbq it was awesome. I will be back when I return to the area! The restraunt itself is kinda funny. It has a drive through but is actually pretty nice inside. Not sure how well $2 beers and drive thrus mix... haha

  • Katie U.

A nice sit-down atmosphere - unlike several other BBQ places where you wouldn't hang out for more time than it would take to eat the food. A nice selection of meats, sides, salads... - including for non-BBQ lovers. Big portions and good flavor.

Ate here with my son while visiting Belmont University. Service was good. The entrees had more than enough food for one person and the food was great. It was pretty busy for a place thAt wAs off the beaten path. I liked the whole experience

  • Lynette P.

First night in Nashville, this is what I had. Even having little to no BBQ experience to compare it to, this place did not cut it. Not enough sauce on the meat, though the portions were huge. Overall it just seemed a little too "cookie cutter corporate" if you know what I mean. Nothing authentic or special about it.

I met with a group of 25 or so at Corky's today and it was a great experience. The room was clean, the tables set so that everyone could be at the tables comfortably. The servers were helpful, attentive and polite. A home run for a business lunch.

Unreal fast food bar b que! Try the brentwood special, pretty amazing value. Not a fan of the asking for a tip at a drive through window though. Seems a little gauche

I've never been a fan of dry rub ribs. Now am AM! These are the best ribs! Fall off the bone goodness and they even have a drive up window. What. Yes I would probably eat these ribs while driving which is even less safe than driving and texting..

This is for Corky's Catering and not the restaurant. When my husband and I decided to get married we both agreed that we wanted a BBQ! I assigned food & beverage to my future husband and he decided to go with Corky's. We met with them once and the came up with a proposal for everything we needed. The day of the were on time, prepared and professional. The food was also exactly what we wanted! I would recommend them for any type of catered event that you may need BBQ for!

A far cry from authentic Memphis BBQ. Dry rub ribs were almost meatless and and very jerky like. Must have come off a very skinny pig. I know baby backs are thin but damn. Potato casserole was not hot, beans were good though as well as the corn muffin and sweet tea. One star for the beans muffin and tea. Zero for the ribs.

  • Matt P.

Really wish we could do half stars, because I'd go 3.5 with this. The smoked sausage and cheese platter was really good. Dry ribs were ok but not great. Wasn't too impressed with the sauces. Friend had me try some of his smoked chicken which was great. Service was good and friendly.

  • Christina P.

Food had good flavor but the service was not up to par. Some food was brought to the table cold and some orders were wrong. The server disappeared so we had to hunt someone down to rectify the situation. Overall a rather disappointing experience.

Barbecue with a drive-thru. So many choices. We sampled everything, or at least it seemed like we did. They serve a dry rubbed smoked sausage with cheese cubes as an appetizer; delicious and tender with a side of honey mustard that was the bomb. Pulled pork was tender and smokey, the ribs are dry rubbed but can be ordered sauced. The brisket was tender and moist, a little fatty for some at the table. The 2 hot tamales are served with a generous serving of chili and cheese on top. Sides were pretty amazing. The potato casserole tasted like steakhouse baked potatoes whipped with garlic, onions and cheese. Green beans were cooked with bacon and had a hint of something, nutmeg? So good. Even the fried okra was tender in the center and crisp on the outside. The Mac and cheese was creamy on the inside and crisp on the edges. Meals are served with cornbread or rolls; the cornbread was sweet and crispy. 3 sauces; regular, apple and hot, are on the table for you to sample. The sauces were not the star for me. I liked the hot the best. They were more vinegar than I'm used to but the smoke on the meat is where all the taste happens anyway. I didn't use much sauce cuz the meat didn't need it. I did like the honey mustard on the pulled pork though, ask for a side. Great friendly servers with plenty of suggestions. I would say they deserve a stop when you're driving through.

Great BBQ!, I had the fried mushrooms as a starter, then the rib combo with ribs (wet) and the smoked turkey, mac n cheese and chili tamale as the sides, it comes with corn bread. Everything but that chili tamale (which had no business in a BBQ joint anyways) was phenomenal. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the Nashville area.

I would say the best BBQ in Nashville Everything I tried was good

    (3)
  • Robert U.

Not great. The BBQ itself is okay. Service is generally okay. But the place is just a little greasy all over, like they have fried a bit too much stuff and its still hanging in the air. Maybe it just needs new carpet or something, but it's kinda gross. I actually liked this place okay till I got a weird onion-loaf with half-done batter or something. Kinda turned my stomach and I can't go back.

I thought I might stop by Corky's last night. I was working late at the office and needed a quick bite, no wait. At 6:30, Corky's was virtually empty. Service was quick and friendly. They got a second start for that. I thought I might splurge and have some ribs. Corky's is known for their ribs so that should have been a nice treat. Unfortunately, it was a trick. Quite possibly, the worst ribs I've ever had. Worse than the worst Applebee's ribs. Worse than something served in an airport cafeteria. The ribs were dry, tough, and bitter. The paprika in the rub was overwhelming. I added some sauce and that didn't help either. I made it through two ribs and threw the rest in a box. The beans had been in the warmer too long and reduced to a thick goo. The mac and cheese was passable, not extraordinary but not too bad. Do yourself a favor and go around the corner to Judge Beans for some better BBQ. I'm not thinking of a return visit.

Tried this place on the recommendation of a local colleague. Walked right in and sat down with our party of three on a Sunday evening. Service was prompt. Our server Sarah, who really could be doing some modeling in New York or L.A., was super friendly and helpful with the menu. I ordered up a ribs, brisket, sausage combo with beans and fries. They have a variety of their sauce on the table so I ordered my ribs dry so I could tune them up myself. The brisket was really good. A little like roast beef as another reviewer mentioned, but flavorful and tender. The link was just okay. It wasn't as spicy as I would have liked. The ribs were really good, especially after I fixed them up with some spicy sauce. The beans were decent and the fries were hot and tender. Pecan pie for dessert was great, don't see much of that on the menu in San Diego. If you're around Nashville give Corky's a try. The food is pretty good and you might even get served by Sarah the Supermodel!

I have some very mixed feelings on Corky's... I've had awesome service and awful service, I've had delicious meals and I've driven through somewhere else on the way home because my food was so bad... I just don't understand the extreme inconsistency! I had pretty much written them off due to the unpredictability until we won 4 free Corky's meals at a Yelp event for rocking some sweet 80's costumes. We used them for 2 different lunch dates... one of which was awesome, one of which was awful. At least they're consistent with their inconsistency, two years after I write them off I come back to find them just as unpredictable. Here's an example for you: During the awful one of the free lunches, we realized we didn't have a ton of cash for tipping (Just because you have a free meal voucher, doesn't mean you don't have to tip, people!). Granted, the food was bordering on gross and the service was getting slower and slower as the meal went on, but I'm not one to stiff a waiter. We asked if it might be possible to tip on a card, offering to purchase a drink or something if necessary to run the card. I know that's probably an annoying thing to ask, but is it really that hard to run the card for a coke and let me tip on it? The waiter says it's not a problem at all and takes the card. He comes back to the table 3 times, at least 5 minutes between each time, and tells us that our cards were declined. All three cards we ended up giving him... um really? 20 minutes of back and forth later he admits that he must have been running them wrong, then asks how much we're going to tip him and he'll just run the card for that amount instead. This was a lunch break from work, so the extra 20 minutes of him trying to figure out how to use the credit card machine made us late getting back. And I was still hungry since my food was basically inedible. End of rant. Conclusion: Go at your own risk, there's a 50/50 chance you'll love it.

Picked up Corky's catering order in Brentwood TN for an office get-together. AMAZED with the food, taste and quality! The amount was enough to feed our office for two days! Very professional, great service & Travis really took care of us. Thank you!!

I've passed by this "joint" off and on for 10+ years - finally stopped. Had the Barbecue lunch special at $6.95. Pork is of good quality but the sauce was too sweet for my taste. The cornbread was very good - a little sweetness and a bit of a bite from peppers.

    (2)
  • Jim G.

My first experience with dry rub BBQ. I loved it, the ribs were still moist and very tender. The corn bread is very tasty with that jalapeño kick and the pecan pie is very good also.

4 might be pushing it but.... Positive.. +It's drive thru BBQ on my way home +The staff is great. I've got a huge family and they were able to successfully handle what started out as a party of 8 and within 15 minutes became quite literally a party of 40. In between: -/+ BBQ is pretty much the same as everywhere else. Nothing stands out. Negative: Nothing really comes to mind except there's really nothing that sets them apart Bottom Line: My brother went to school in Memphis and raved about this brand. I dont get it. Decent, but doesn't twist my nipples. Bonus star for handling my big gathering.

I just had the most pleasant experience at Corky's in Brentwood! I wanted some rib tips sooo bad and was sadly told they didn't sell them anymore! I was like ooo nooooo! The manager politely told me he would be more than happy to chop up some ribs for me! He made my night! You can't beat good service and good food! Love me some Corky's! Thank you!

Didn't want to drive very far and this place was convenient to our hotel. Ratings on the selections: Collards, good Fried okra, meh Cuke salad, good pulled pork, excellent Beer selection, lame There are probably better Que options in the area.

Decent food for a decent price. They have some lunch specials on the menu which are small side lunch portion kind of portions. The person traveling with me got a plater and it was also in a smaller lunch portion. But again it was lunch and lunch portion pricing. I would imagine the dinners would be more sizeable. Pretty good smoke flavor to the pulled pork.

Fried pickles were good, not the tiny chips, they were the slices. Very good... Which the managers comped because it was our first time in TN and our first stop for BBQ and our first time trying fried pickles... ever. Pulled pork and their BBQ sauce is ridiculous. Fried corn is even better. A-O.K. mac and cheese. Cheap and good. Friendly service. Yum.

In town with my sister to visit some friends and our original plan was to go to a meat and three but it was closed. Instead we went across the street to Corkys. I was a little suspect since it had a chain feel to it, but it turned out to be pretty good. I ordered the full rack of ribs, half wet/half dry with potato casserole and southern style green beans sides. The only disappointment was the string beans, which I was told was not "true" southern style. Overall, it was a good dining experience. I left with a full tummy and very content.

Please excuse the lapse in internet etiquette, but the following information is so important, I think that caps are necessary: WHEN YOU ARE AT CORKY'S, ONLY EAT THE RIBS!!! If you follow this golden rule, you will be a happy camper. If not, dine at your own peril! Being a relatively small chain that's based out of Memphis, my husband and I thought we would give Corky's a shot at providing us with BBQ bliss. We have yet to find a place in Nashville that truly has us craving their BBQ, so we thought Corky's had as a good a chance as any to bring us to charred meat nirvana. We decided to split the Tennessee Two-Step Combo, which comes with two meats and your choice of two sides. We opted for pulled pork, BBQ brisket, mac & cheese, and the BBQ baked beans. We also decided to add on a 1/4 rack of ribs for $4. Our server was really friendly and prompt and had our complementary cornbread (pretty good! Had some cheese and jalapeño in it!) out swiftly. Perhaps the service was extra good because we were dining at an off hour (4:30 pm on a Saturday), but regardless, I thought the people working the floor were conscientious. Unfortunately, the food was largely regrettable. The pulled pork was decent, but the brisket was almost roast-beef like in its texture... it wasn't bad, but it didn't strike either of us like a wonderful iteration of BBQ brisket. The baked beans were also ok, but they might have seemed better than they were in comparison to the mac & cheese which was unforgivably bad. It was claggy and gloppy, not at all creamy, and essentially had the texture of boxed mac & cheese that has sat in the fridge all night and then been reheated in the microwave. Not good at all! I honestly don't know the last time I've had worse mac & cheese... I will say that the ribs truly saved the meal from outright disaster. They were tender but not mushy and not the least bit dry. They had great pork flavor and the wet sauce that accompanied them was really good. My husband and I both agreed that the ribs were really the only thing worth getting, and were some of the best we've had to date. I don't know that I'd recommend rushing out here just for those, but if you should find yourself in the area and decide to stop in, just know that anything else on the menu is likely to be a disappointment. All the other items are vastly superior at nearly any other joint, but the ribs are clearly their specialty and worth a try. The ribs were good enough that I am tempted to give this place a 3, but in the end, one dish on a menu as extensive as Corky's does not an "A-OK" make!

This is great if u like a more corporate place. BBQ is first class but the trimmings are a little iffy. BUT u gotta love deep fried corn on the cob!!!!!!!! THis stuff was so greasy you could have used two ears to heat your house! I had driven by this place for 10 years and it will be 10 more before I go back. BUT as i said if you like only the BBQ you might like it. By the way the service was actually very good.

This Texas Is A Convert - Corky's (literally) Smokes The Competition! While visiting my Dad in Tennessee, we looked beforehand and got some advice as to what the best BBQ in Nashville was - hands down, Corky's was recommended. The recommendations were spot-on - we drove about an hour from Clarksville to go, and it was well worth it - the BBQ was excellent, far outclassing the (what I though) BBQ in Texas from such places as Goode Company and the like. The Memphis-style dry rub ribs were tender and delicious, as well the smoked turkey and brisket - anything really you can't lose with. Our server, Glen, was one of the best waiters we ever had - polite, attentive and had such an attention to detail, it made a wonderful culinary experience even better, and it seemed all the servers there were as dedicated as him. If you're ever near any of the Corky's locations, do yourself a favor and go - you and your stomach will never regret it!

There are so many Food Shows about finding the great BBQ joints. Here's the thing tho, there wouldn't be so many so many BBQ franchises if it wasn't easy to recreate. So you got Corky's, Famous Dave, Tony Romas, Golden Rule, etc. Sure there's different techniques, like boiling the ribs first and then grilling (Tony Romas) or strictly smoking the ribs (Corky's). But in the end, the different techniques or sauces don't blow away the competition. When you read these reviews, ppl are typically talking about the side items or some kinda gimmick that these places have to make seem unique. The reviews aren't really gonna touch on the pulled pork or ribs too much, b/c they all do a pretty decent job at it. So you're really splitting hairs when you're picking between these places. So what's special about Corky's? They do a deep fried corn-on-the-cob, and it's tasty. They have real good deals for groups that dine in: the "Pink Cadillac." And their drive thru to go service is really good. Btw, they have different deals from dining in and the drive thru. I think their drive thru deals are better. Anyways, they've got Good food, decent service, they're clean, and they're consistent. It's a safe pick

Good beer selection. No draft available tho. Something broke. Went with good friends do overall a great time but lights went out halfway thru. But still didn't ruin anything. Good solid BBQ food for fair prices and great service. Rec going.

Corky's isn't bad...but its just not as exciting as all the other BBQ options in town. The dry rub is decent on their ribs, they make a pretty good hamburger, and they did recently add a hash brown casserole type side dish that is pretty tasty but over all the sauce and the quality of the meat just doesn't compare to places like Martin's or Carl's. If you're in the area its a good option for something to eat but I would adventure out a little further for BBQ goodness rather than settle.

We went to order the family meal deal and were told no more ribs. Very bummed about that but we ordered one more brisket. Wings, pulled pork, texas toast and the sides (potato salad, coleslaw and beans) were great. The brisket unfortunately was dry even with bbq sauce and the jury is still out on the chicken with the dressing. Good thing Corky's serves beer as the experience wouldn't have been as good as a 3 star. I'm not sure I would go back unless Corky's wins best ribs in TN.

Is there anything more sublime than a Corky's BBQ fried dill pickle spear? The answer is no....well perhaps nothing but a perfectly executed New England fried clam! Coated in what appears to be seasoned cornmeal and not greasy. Dipped in ranch dressing..Perfection. Sides like Okra and collards are prepared equally well. Excellent ribs and pulled pork. Friendly staff and BBQ joint ambiance. This place is great!

I already knew what I was getting into upon deciding on a mediocre BBQ joint, but I just couldn't help myself for I was hungry for BBQ. This BBQ is like most BBQ chain restaurants -- it feels like the food has just been microwaved and place on your plate. You never feel like the food has just come right off the grill and is filled with flavor. In some cases the food is even lukewarm. Corky's BBQ was no exception. Nothing stood out for Corky's with the exception of the jalapeño biscuit, but even that was nothing spectacular. I was not impressed with the food, sampling the sausage, ribs, brisket and usual sides. If I had my own show like Chef Ramsey, I would probably spit it out and send it back.

Went there tonight with friends, had the BBQ Brisket (w/o bbq sauce), collard greens, and green beans. Waayyy too much food. I had the "lite" version of the meal, and I still couldn't finish it all. The Brisket didn't need any sauce; it had a great flavor underneath that was very satisfying. The greens (of both types) tasted sweet, but in a flavorful way. The service was friendly, and just right. Though the tamales my friend had; those were kinda hideous looking. They looked like the type that you would pull out of a Hormel can, though they were obviously made fresh. They were beef "tamales" topped with lots of chili beans and cheese. He thoguht they were decent, but they looked pretty enh to me. I would definitely come back on another trip - so long as I don't have to eat the tamales!

My first satisfying meal in Tennessee. Everything up to this point had been either a disappointing salad, or a sad looking snack to keep myself alive. I would've been extremely disappointed with myself if my first visit to the South ended without me eating an authentic southern meal. I would've been completely satisfied if we had left after we finished our appetizers: deep fried pickles, deep fried and very moist chicken strips, wings, and shiny buttered biscuits with an extra spread of butter. But no, my food karma must've been at a high point because of my 2 previous lame meals, because the awesome just kept coming. A solid rack of ribs melting off the bones and half covered in a delicious dry rub and half covered in a smokey wet sauce, along with a light and sweet coleslaw, and gooey cheesey mac & cheese sat in front of me. I was already full by the time my main order came up, but just smelling it made me start drooling all over again. I ate as much as I could, but I eventually hit a wall, and couldn't stuff another delicious bite in my mouth. Even when I hit the food coma, I knew that I'd be ready for amazing leftovers as soon as I got hungry again.

Moderately decent, but it's far from tasty Texas BBQ. Sweet a little tangy bbq sauce. Very friendly staff. A bit noisy when it's around dinner due to the family atmosphere. Greasy atmosphere.

Should have suspected something was amiss when the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. Waitress practically threw our plates on the table and rushed us to order. Bread rolls and corn muffins were similarly tossed on the table in passing. We split a rack of ribs which was soft, but tasteless. (The sauce was actually not bad, but the ribs themselves had no taste.) Waitstaff chatted among themselves and swept the area around our table while we were eating. Best parts of the meal? The corn muffin and my IBC root beer. Food might have merited a 2-star review, but the poor service drops this a notch.

I love Corkys. It is my favorite BBQ EVER, I don't know why, I just love it. I always have the pulled pork sandwich and I drown it in sauce and eat the big huge sloppy mess. I also had the rolls and the cornbread which were excellent. The fried okra was ok, not very flavorful though so next time I will skip the side and just get the jumbo BBQ sandwich. Be careful though, they will top it with cole slaw unless you tell them not to because it is Memphis style.

Eh...it felt like the ribs and the brisket- were a little overdone. The greens were super sweet. The fried pickles were just ok. Not bad if you're in the area and need a fix , but don't go out of your way.

Despite having living in nashville 15 years, I've never been to Corky's. This is entirely due to the fact that I really am not a big pulled BBQ fan and I assumed this is all they did. Alas, I had family in, they wanted to try BBQ and they had read about Corky's. To my surprise, they are pretty darn good. I opted for the dry rub ribs and found those to be lovely. Moist, full of flavor, not to fatty and plentiful. The sides were all well prepared as well. The service was very friendly and the inside was exactly what you would expect a BBQ place in Brentwood to look like. All in all a worthy dining experience for not my favorite food and I will definitely go back the next time I have a hankerin for ribs.

Seems to be a chain trying to look cool and local. Service was poor. Food was OK.

I guess it isn't fair to have traveled from Texarkana to Nashville via Memphis and to have eaten at Neely's Barbecue the day before to rate them. This said, the barbecue is reasonable. Coming from Texas and used to having beef brisket in nice slices as you would see in a barbecue competition, it was somewhat disconcerting to see it pulled as was every other meat there. Good quality of smoke, decent sides. Beer selection was less than optimal, meat on my turkey slightly dry. The reasonably priced side salad had an excellent balsamic vinaigrette. The group found the fried pickles, the onion rings, and the barbecue nachos to be tasty enough. The sauce on the table tasted much like the sauces we purchased even though one was supposed to be very spicy. I wouldn't turn my nose up if I found myself here again, and would gladly return, but not before weighing other dining options.

I'm always hopeful that the meal will be delicious when I go to Corky's - and PARTS of it often are -- but they've never pulled off the whole thing for me. Either the service is surly or the food is cold or the bread is stale...never all at the same time, but there's always a stone-in-my-shoe that stops this from being a great experience. But, to be honest, I do keep going back.

Took the family to Corky's for dinner. The sweet tea and rolls were awesome. Atmosphere was good. Service was good. Since it was our first time and we had a coupon for a free entrée, we tried a little of everything. Dry rubbed ribs, brisket, catfish, turkey, smoked sausage with fried okra, French fries, baked beans and Cole slaw. None of it was good, very plain, no good smoke flavor almost cafeteria style BBQ. We will not be going back.

I love good bbq and Corky's is one of my favorites in the Nashville area. I like their sandwiches with slaw.
