Good food at great prices...the house margaritas aren't the best BUT the big margarita (and I forget what it is called), is quite good. The staff is friendly and will get to know your face if you eat there often (as they have for my husband and his friends)! My favorite dishes are the flautas, pollo margaritas and the sopapilla...and the taco salad, being the absolute fave!

Service was awful! Thank goodness they had jumbo margaritas that were good! Food was not great, would not recommend it!

Good service. Chili rellanos were NOT that good. Been here many times but this was first time I was not impressed with the food. Clearly they have new kitchen staff.

I took my wife there for lunch. We waited to be seated, and waited and waited. I looked back and all the help was drinking beer watching the soccer game. I will not go back.

Did lunch on a Thursday. The carne asada burrito was good!*** The service was between average and good. Would eat here again....and if the service and food were to maintain, then I could be a regular. ***If you've been in SoCal you know what real carne asada is. The carne here was more like a fajita burrito. Still tasty though. They also had a California burrito on the menu, but it sure isn't a real Cali burrito w/ French fries! You know what I'm talking about San Diego peeps! If you're a New Mexican, don't expect real soapapilla here. The menu described it like a NM soap, but what comes out is like a cinnamon crisp from Taco Bell. A real disappointment. Also, the red and green chile sauces down here in the southern states are not hot or even carry a little heat. Lame.

When this restaurant first opened I loved it instantly! Over time, the food standard seems to have lowered. Fajitas went from being fresh and scrumptious to old and bland. The chips as well! The past few times they have been very old! I feel that I could cook this better at home.

Service has declined over the last 3 years with the exception of one waiter. * * * Veterans be advised that the restaurant falsely advertises a 10% discount for military * * * According to the cashier on May 22, 2015 the owner changed the policy and no longer provides the discount. Although discounts should never be expected, they shouldn't be falsely advertised to gain military customers. No explanation could be provided when brought up to management.

Probably the worst Chimichangas I've experienced. Guacamole was good, but cold. I couldn't tell if it was fresh and the avocados came from the fridge or if the entire dish was packaged. Again, it was good so maybe it doesn't matter. Service was good. Chips n salsa were good. I had a taste for the Chimi and didn't want to drive to Millington. Next time we drive... I guess they knew the answer because they didn't even ask how the meal was...

4 stars for the food, 0 stars for the service = net 2 stars. I agree with Jessica G's comment, don't know what's happened to this place. Every time we come here the service gets worse. We keep telling ourselves we won't come back. But, that Margarita potato keeps calling my name, dba heart attack on a plate, but it is great. And, the chips and salsa are the best in Atoka. When my wife was ordering, the waitress didn't hear her, so she opened the menu, pointed to the item, repeated it, and the waitress confirmed what she wanted. When she bought the plates, hers was a completely different item from what she ordered. As my wife pointed this out, she said, yes, you did order the --- shrimp dish, not this chicken dish. Duh. Then how did it wind up on our table? So, I finished my 'tater and then her dinner came out., which she promptly asked for a to go box to put it in so we could get the heck out of Dodge. Also, we wanted some cheese dip, but the waitress disappeared after setting our drinks down for 10 minutes, so we passed on it. Sooner or later, they'll work themselves out of business, just give it time.

For the past year, service has gotten really bad. Tried it again tonight, ordering a shrimp, veggie, & salad dish, & was brought a quesadilla. Also order a small queso with the chips and it never arrived! Kinda sick of the service!!!!! You need to fix this or continue to loose customers!!! My correct dinner arrived after my husband finished his meal, which was about 30 minutes after the original mistake. Although it was right this time, I wasn't hungry then. I ordered a to go box and the check when she brought the meal, and ate it the next day.

The worst so called "mexican" food I've ever had. Service is absolutely terrible and their food is just the same. Ordered a Chile Verde burrito and it was pretty much salsa with huge slices of green bell pepper. Ordered a chorizo quesadilla, which they had to call back and confirm, only to mess that up and give us chorizo and shrimp in a soft taco. The tostada was supposed to be beans only, they gave it to us with lettuce and tomatos on it.. The workers were sitting on their butts when I went to pick up my food too. Definitely not coming back.

Come here for lunch sometimes and never have had a bad experience. The staff is always very friendly and quick with the service. The food is served hot and tastes very good.

Food is Nothing special and the service is terrible. The food was great when they first opened, but now it is below average. Service should get a negative star. I hear the margaritas, etc. are great. Lunch special is a good deal if you have a good server. Don't get in a hurry for a coke refill!

Good food, large menu, best salsa around, great margaritas. Their kids menu has more options than most Mexican restaurants. I like the Combination #4 and my husband's favorites are either the Taco Roc and Flautas Margaritas.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
