When I'm traveling, given a choice between most chain restaurants for lunch, I'll more than likely always choose a Panera if available. I've found them to be very consistent whatever town I'm in, and that's said in a good way. My hands-down favorite order is French onion soup in a bread bowl, and this location served it up in good fashion with great taste. The apple for a side is always a nice break from the standard fries/chips you're offered in a Fast Food Nation place. Service here was typically prompt, and wifi was working. What more do you need when you're on the road? My scores on a fast casual scale: Atmosphere: 4 Service: 4 Food: 4 Value: 4

It seems to always be busy here. Always. The line does move fast and the wait time for food isn't that bad. I like coming to this location and eating outside on a nice day. I love their ice green tea and it is so refreshing on the perfect day. I like how the calories are posted on the menu, definitely influences what I order. I wish every restaurant would do this and maybe it would make people more aware and decrease America's obesity problem. Most of the sandwiches are between 650-850 calories BTW, whoa! On my last visit I got the shrimp roll. I wish I got something else. The shrimp were large and seasoned with tarragon, but I thought they had too much of a fishy taste. It was also very messy to eat, the roll is tiny and does not hold those slippery shrimp well. The meal was served with a baguette and soup. I was perfectly satisfied with just the little cup of soup, my baguette, and green tea. After going to Panera enough times, I realize that it's a great place to stick with soup and salad and they do both well enough. In the past I've gotten the frontega chicken sandwich. Very tasty. After seeing the calories I'm consuming, I realize it's tasty for a reason.

This is a very clean panera location. That being said the staff has been less than friendly and also skimp out on portions. I mean I'm not saying your bowl should be spilling over but when you pay $5 for mac n cheese it should at least be a half a bowl. I have been to several other locations and had the same meal that they actually filled the bowl so I know it's not a company policy! Anyway on a positive totally in love with the chocolate chip cookies!

It's freezing in here! And the internet sucks ass, but customer service is ok and restaurant is clean.

This location is nice and clean. I've never had any complaints after eating here. I don't eat here all that often because I don't like paying that much for a sandwich. haha

I must say that Panera is a very nice place to have a little lunch here and there. But other than that, I don't really think there's that much, it's a little small for a cafe, but it seems reasonable. Their food is delicious, and it is especially cozy on a rainy day just to sip a cup o' joe or maybe just some soup! I love Panera!

I feel compelled to add a note about how great their bread is. I've been to a lot of restaurants lately that had poor quality bread. You can't underestimate how important that is to a meal. Panera gets that right, which is appropriate since it's in their name. I find myself craving food here especially when it's cold out or when it's raining. It's a comforting place to eat. Free wifi is nice and they have a nice little bakery and coffee/smoothie bar. A solid meal choice in Alcoa.

Great spot for picking up a bagel in the morning. Most of the other pastry taste premade and there isn't anything that special about them. I getting discounts and free items with my MyPanera Card!

Love this place! Every Panera I've been to has had great food. I love their tomato soup, and their new macaroni and cheese is really, really good. In the summer, they have a strawberry chicken salad that is to die for. But their bread...well, any place that has "bread" in the name better have darn good bread, and Panera Bread definitely has the bread thing down. I like this particular restaurant because it is always clean, the people are friendly and the store is a little smaller than some, so it feels very warm and cozy. (Cold and cozy in the summer - you might bring a sweater!)
