This is a pretty good place to grab lunch and chill with a beer. They have a good range of Italian dishes to choose from and they are affordable as well!!

This place is really good! Not a lot of options but it's better that way. You can watch as they make your food which is also fun, I've had the cabanara and Mac and cheese and both were delicious

They were busy I understand a wait and am not grading on my recent service experience. The food. I ordered a caprese salad. Not good. Tomatoes weren't ripe my children got a pizza. It was the most dense, tough round slab of carbs topped with marinara sauce and cheese. The crust could not be cut up and one bite, ALL THE CHEESE came off. It was awful. I'm extremely disappointed. Also ordered was fettuccini Alfredo which was rated as Delish.

The resturant inside has been completely remodeled from the previous restaurant that was in the location. The decor is very pleasant, very clean, booths were comfortable, and temperature was just right. Background music was good and level was low enough not to complete with conversation. Staff was pleasant enough and accommodated requests for more dressing and marinara sauce. My wife had Antipasta Salad, which was a very generous in size, very fresh ingredients, and she was very satisfied. I helped her eat some of it and it was very good. We both felt it was a very good value. I had the meatball sub sandwich. It was extremely small. The meatballs had good flavor and they toasted the inside of the roll, but very little cheese and sauce were on it. I asked for a side of sauce and that had great flavor and helped the sandwich out. This was not a good value. Since it was so small, I was still hungry, so I ordered a Margherita pizza. It also was extremely small. The crust (if you want to call it that) was a pita. There was no basil on it. It was soggy. I was not happy with it, especially for 8.95. They need to stop making pizzas, that was really bad. I asked the cook for some basil, and he said that they didn't have any. I said that's pretty important on a pizza that only has 4 ingredients. He apologized. We're local, we may come back for a salad and give them a try on pastas.

Returned after my last experience for a second shot now that they've been open longer. Gone is the massive traffic jam between ordering and paying. Now the flow is like this: 1. Wait in line to order at register 2. Wait in line to pay at a second register 3. Receive order buzzer 4. Wait at table with buzzer 5. Go pick up food at second register when buzzer goes off 6. Enjoy! My food was good. Pasta primavera with sausage. Came with a small white bread chunk. My wife got the same with chicken and enjoyed it. The other person in our party ordered a salad with no onions and ranch on the side. The salad came tossed with vinaigrette. She returned the salad and relieved a salad with onions. She picked the onions off. It would be nice to see them follow through better with order customization. Also, the two register system doesn't make sense in this application. You could cut the middle man and avoid the second register by just paying when you order. That makes too much sense though.

Decent food but poor service. I Walked in on a weekend at 9 am for breakfast. A few other people sitting down eating but no employees to be found for 10-15 minutes. When someone did finally come and take my order it was definitely an inconvenience to them that I was there.

The cafeteria line situation isn't my favorite, but you can't deny tasty food. I would skip it if they're busy.

Nice new addition to Rapid City. Sort of urban Tuscany design right on Main Street. Set up as an order at counter and pick up food when ready. Kind of an Italian fast food type of place. But the food was excellent. Correct size of portions. Really nice helpful staff. Prices very reasonable. No single item over $10. If you want the gourmet specialty type place, skip Ciao's. If you like good, basic Italian dishes, give this place a go. Staff is helpful and professional as well as courteous.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
