Only a few blocks from I90 exit 332, this is a perfectly good Chinese restaurant. Don't be confused if there is a second entry for Twin Dragon Chinese restaurant, despite the name, there is only one. They are the same place. Some Yelper messed up the address. 704 E Norway is correct. The entries need to be combined. Good quality typical mid-west Chinese. Both dishes were good. Vegetables were crisp. Hot sauce was hot. Chinese music was Chinese. Fortune cookies were fortunate. What more can you ask for in SD? They had one fairly good local canned beer from Spearfish, a porter Pile a Dirt. I think they could do better with tap beer, hence the 4 but what do i know. Did not order the lo mien, so i cannot testify about noodle authenticity. I don't get the negative reviews. Ruth, our waitress was very nice. She has worked there for years, so i think they must treat her well.

Was camping at a nearby campground. After being in the saddle for 10+ hours, I had a taste for Asian, so I checked my Garmin. This restaurant came up closest to the campground I was staying at.. Had the shrimp egg foo young combo. Came with soup, fried rice, egg roll, fried wonton and tea ($12).I also picked up the $5 bottle of sake. The sake gave me a nice buzz. The takeout was a little slower than I am used to. The egg foo young was drowning in a soy based sauce (I'm used to a thicker gravy). The food hit the spot. That's all I was looking for.

Had Beef with Mixed Vegetables which had a good brown sauce. My kids spilt the Sesame Chicken, which they both enjoyed. The egg roll and Wonton Soup that came with the lunch specials were both good. The soda came in a can. Overall the food was basic takeout Chinese but the restaurant/booths were clean and the customer service was attentive. It was a good lunch!

Service is poor to fair. They do have a help wanted sign in the window so maybe better with full staff. Food is not horrible but by far not the best Chinese. Prices are fair. The hot and sour soup is not hot or sour and poor color. Over all I will eat there again but not recommend some one to go out of their way to eat there. For Mitchell it's as good as you can get.

Meager portions. Food marginal at best. They seem cheap here. Choice of Egg Roll or soup. Anywhere else you get both. How expensive could both be? The place was cold too. Bring your coat. Overall a disappointment.

Prices are too high compared to other restaurants. Food is just ok. They call plain spaghetti noodles, lo mien, so beware. Will not be going back.

Guys, this is South Dakota, not Beijing. Does this compare to the food I had while in China? Uh, no. But honestly, this is decent. I live an hour from Mitchell and my husband and I literally drove there and back one day because we wanted Chinese food. Don't judge us. I love their fried wontons and the side of sweet and sour sauce to dip them in. The sweet and sour sauce they use here is most likely made in house. It is not the sticky, radioactive, glow in the dark, anti-freeze fluid looking stuff you find in many places. If it's not made in house please don't tell me or I will be depressed. lol. You can get meals that come with an egg roll, 1 cream cheese wonton, soup, and tea. They have great lunch specials too. I think their soups are pretty good because I normally don't like egg drop soup but I eat theirs for some reason.

Absolute horse crap. The hot and sour soup was gray, WTF? The pork in garlic sauce tasted ass nasty, my wife's sesame chicken was soggy and just funky. Even the fortune cookie tasted like cardboard... I wouldn't feed that garbage to a starving dog... save your money, go to the McDonald's next door. Easily the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten in my life... this place needs to be condemned or at the very least relable itself as a nasty ass imitation of Chinese food.

I find it so strange that the best seasame chicken I've ever had is in the middle of nowhere South Dakota. You would think that because it's in middle of nowhere they wouldn't try as hard. Oh so wrong! I really liked this restaurant and I'm so happy that my soon to be mother-in-law now has a fantastic Chinese restaurant to go to now. YAY. Food was inexpensive, you get large portions and the staff was friendly. Just one tip: do not order the hot & sour soup. It's weird! I can't even explain the taste... uhm.. it is just weird. It looked like pink lemonade and definitely had a weird lemony flavor. Just take my word for it. :P

Service was decent....nothing great. We ordered sesame chicken and they charged us for extra rice since we split the meal, even though we didn't even order extra rice. The food is extremely overpriced! The atmosphere was stuffy and dark, and not open and bright. You'd get better chinese food for the price at a mall food court. Not impressed. We paid $14 for sesame chicken and rice (not even the "dragon upgrade" or whatever with an eggroll and soup!

Ate here on our way back from Minnesota to Colorado. Noticed that there were no noodle dishes offered at lunch. That disappointed me as I love lo mein. I got the sesame chicken with egg drop soup and my husband got pork and garlic sauce with hot and sour soup. My soup had a good consistancy but a weird after taste after every bite. Adding soy sauce and salt did not help. The hot and sour soup on the other hand looked horrible as it was a weird grayish pink color...just didn't look appetizing at all! Then our entrees came out and my husband couldnt finish his since it had a weird taste to it and wasn't hot. My sesame chicken tasted like it was made yesterday and they heated it up today, very soggy and chewy. It had a good sauce and thats about it. I can say I liked the rice and hot tea, and thats about it. I understand that I am in south dakota, but i shouldn't feel sick afterwards. Will not be coming back...

One of my all time favorite Chinese restaurants. Food is fantastic, and the price is unbeatable, especially given the high quality food.

Maybe I caught them on a bad night but my experience was very bad. I asked for lo mein noodles instead of the typical rice - I got plain spaghetti noodles...no sauce, flavoring or vegetables. The sesame chicken was awful. Very disappointing.

OK, so I'm from New England and maybe chinese food there is different than SD. When was the last time you ate at a chinese restaurant that didn't keep your water glass full.? The waitress (none of the waitstaff at the time I ate there was chinese) never even came back to ask how my meal was. I ordered the egg rolls as an appetizer, two for $4.00 and they were so small they didn't equal the size of one from home. I ordered fried rice with my meal and got white. You know how when you order sweet and sour chicken you get battered chicken used for a lot of different meals? Well at TDCR thats what you get for general tao's (tso in the east). The only good thing about it was I asked for extra spicy and that's what I got. When I had almost finished my meal the the waitress finally showed up to give me the check, never even asked if I wanted anything else. Stay away.

Honestly not bad. I've had better in Cali when I visited San Fransisco. Considering that it's in the middle of nowhere in South Dakota its about as good as your gonna get.. I would eat there again but it's expensive.

I have liked this place ever since I was in grade school. You good a good sized portion at a good price. The hot n sour soup is some of the best you will find. Service is always friendly.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
