Fast, friendly and lots of food. We get take out here often. Not a sit down restaurant. I give it five stars for what it is. A quick take out run by nice people.

I would agree with the first reviewer ... This place is very good "for what it is", which a take-out oriented, "old school" American-style Chinese place. Note that though most of the business seems to be take-out, they do have four tables inside plus a picnic table on the front porch. It was only about a five minute detour off of I-95 and has a decent rest room so it's a good choice for travelers.

Staying the night off the interstate and having found only a subway to eat at this Chineese carry out was the only other option. It's in an old building which is pretty run down The food is as good as any carry out in larger cities but amazingly large portions. Still it's only a typical carry out with nothing special. The large portions and good value outweigh the condition of the Resturant

Nothin fancy here. As a matter of fact, to look at the outside, most would just drive right on by. But it's worth a little stop in! Be forewarned, it's not pretty, and the bathroom is old and slightly icky. But the small dining room is clean, and the food is good. We ordered Kung Bo chicken off the spicy menu. It was filled with veg and tasty. If you like it more tongue-tingling, however, be sure to ask them to bump up the heat a notch. We ordered one combo meal to share with a side of wontons. It was so substantial that we both ate our fill and have enough left over for both of us to eat lunch tomorrow. Normally, this type of restaurant would get three stars from me, but the good food and nice folk prompted the extra star this time.

The place itself is a classic dive. And it is your typical Chinese food distributor menu and menu board that you can find by the thousands up and down the coast. I hesitate patronizing these cookie cutter shopfronts because they are really hit and miss. But China Town is a hit. I had a luncheon special of Kung Pao chicken for just over $5 and it was really great flavors and quality ingredients. I could peek into the kitchen and it seemed pretty clean as compared to other Chinese dives in this class. I also took the constant stream of customers as a good sign considering how out of the way this place is. I rode my motorcycle up from Beaufort SC on the recommendation of a fellow rider and I suspect I'll be doing that pretty regularly now.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
