My 3 year old and I ate there. She has a gluten intolerance. There wasn't much on the menu for her, so we ordered the BBQ. Unfortunately they were out and attempted to Comp our entire meal. My food was wonderful and my little one settled on the roasted chicken. They were both really good. I had to force them to let me pay for the meal. I will be dining with them again.

OMG. How embarrassing. I took a friend of mine here & it's gone way down hill. DO NOT GO HERE!! The management changed & everything about it sucked. Horrendous.

3 times we've been, giving it enough of a chance and we just can't go back. The food is barely room temp, almost cold in some cases, with soggy fries, cool fried shrimp, down right cold chicken in the chicken and donuts dish. The MaC and what held such promise but is s sweet it might as well been dessert, and not a very good one at that. It is too bad, really. We attended the guerrilla underground dining of their soft opening and were blown away. Living in Rivertowne we held out hope of having a good restaurant near by. Sorry to say this isn't it.

I've been back 2 times since my first review, with plenty of time between each visit. On a previous visit we went for dinner, and I chose a fish special the owner recommended and sounded good. But I was disappointed that the fish was actually not cooked right, it was slightly frozen in the middle. The owner replaced it with an another fish. But not the same type as I had just ordered that last one. Today I returned for lunch as I was hungry for a burger. The interior still very casual, with plenty of seating. I went up and ordered the Locomotive burger, and asked for it to be cooked medium. When the burger arrived it's appearance was as expected: double stack w/pepper jack, bacon, pickled peppers on a grilled bun. It had a nice size portion on thin french fries. But the burger was cooked more medium well. The taste was good, as the cheese and bacon were ideal flavors, but the fact that it was cooked more well was a dissappointment. The fries were served hot and seasoned well. Overall the burger was good but if you're cooking a burger to a customer 's preferred level, that is important. The service was good, as the young man working was attentive and friendly. As a local restaurant just down the road I've really wanted to support this business, but there seems to be a lack of good cooking skill, so I'm likely to not return.

4 stars to begin with. Could update after getting inside there and seeing what it's like (Our boss picked up lunch for us, and that was my first taste). Big fan. Food is really good, and some creative stuff on the menu too. I got the Trucker Beef sandwich which is basically a primanti brothers type sandwich. It was great. very glad this place exists and so close to my work. I will definitely go back. This falls into the category of what we call 'Fat Fridays' at work. Heavy, makes you want to nap, delicious. The fries are hand cut, and I love that you can choose from a variety of French fry sauces. Can't wait to see what its like inside the store! Many thanks.

Really wanted to like this place, but I got the roast beef sandwich and it was not edible. The meat was cold and slimey. The service was slow even though there weren't many people in the place. I work down the road and won't be back (which is unfortunate because there are not many restaurants in the area).

Once again, CCD was beyond awesome!! The Seared Tuna was second to none, and the Chicken 'n Donuts were phenomenal. I highly recommend CCD especially if you are in the mood for southern cooking. Huge portions at the right price. The desserts are excellent, too. Overall, CCD is a great spot for good food and good times.

Fantastic food, small but friendly staff and even the owners are hands on. Meal proportions are ridiculously large for what you pay for. Definitely a great value! They take their time, but it's always a fun time...usually not as many people in there either (they do a lot of catering). Fried chicken is awesome, as is the "Trucker beef" which is basically a primanti brothers sandwich ....beef with fries and slaw right on top in a sandwich.

Excited to have a " go to" restaurant on Clements Ferry. Our choices in this neck of the woods are limited to Blues and a pub on Hwy 41. This location is in a little business park just past the light at CF and Cainhoy on the left side. They have takeout if you call a head which is very convenient as well as a dining area. The food is southern fare, as the moniker is " Southern Food with an Attitude" I indulged in the Trucker sandwich which was pretty dang good, my wife had a burger and it was to perfection.

I had the sloppy joe and basket of fries. I HAD to order it because I have never seen that offered on a menu before and it is a childhood love of mine. I was expecting the "manwhich on a hamburger bun" style of sandwich but instead they serve a huge portion of really flavorful meat on top of texas bread with a coleslaw side. It cured me of my sloppy joe craving and I found it very satisfying. My dining partner ordered the shrimp and grits with biscuits. The sauce was very similar to she-crab soup in flavor. It tasted really nice. I am not sure that the biscuit belongs on this plate since it is served with grits but as a true southerner, I ate his biscuit. I look forward to trying the BBQ. They offer several styles which is awesome - vinegar, mustard, and ketchup based. This is the kind of easy casual roadside non-pretentious mama's cooking place I really enjoy.

Sorry but I wish I could give negative stars. I am also sorry to say that I feel bad for the first reviewers mom's if she cooks as bad as this place. I seriously spit out my food on my plate when I took a bite of fried chicken! The fries were limpy like over cooked asparagus. The dough nut was horrible. Collards were cold. The Hush Puppies were unidentifiable! I am ashamed that I spent 30 dollars to spit out my food out and leave this place faster than it took them to cook my food!
