Absolutely scrumptious steaks! We loved everything we had for dinner. The salad bar is a little disappointing but that is the only thing you will be disappointed in. Steaks are melt in your mouth and the mushroom gravy is wonderful. The pineapple rum cake is awesome. We will return!

Pleasant atmosphere. Very warm with patriotic decor. Generous food portions. Two to three portion servings. Attentive and personable waitress that knows all the locals. Left satisfied and loosening my belt two to three notches.

huge perfect steaks. Got the rib-eye.. took up the whole plate.. well almost no petite filet here! salad bar came with our meal. small but good selections. Interior is dated, but I am there to eat so who cares! hope to go there this weekend. call ahead, they are closed Sunday Monday as of October 2014.

Simply the absolutely best steaks I've ever had. The portions are beyond generous. As you start eating the massive amount of food seems to become a dare. DO NOT eat here and try to hike around Issaquena Falls; if you do you will feel like you have a delicious bowling ball in your stomach. I suggest working up a massive appetite before coming to this establishment. The salads before your meal are also very good, with homemade dressing. I can't comment on dessert. I haven't ever had the room and with the meal being so delicious I never want ten one. The decor is also very Interesting, but may even I just think that because of my Native American ancestry from the area. They seem to capture a frontier atmosphere and pay homage to the area, which has waterfalls, caves, and mountains that remain sacred to the Cherokee. I rarely ever feel this way about a restaurant, but I actually love this place. It's hard to explain. It doesn't feel like a place you go to eat. To me, this place feels welcoming. Dakota's is my favorite restaurant of any type in the world for this homey feeling. Also, the owners are very nice folks and I enjoy talking to them every time I can get back to the area.
