The trip started off with an extremely rude group of hostesses who scolded me because one member of our party was walking in the door. Very rude and absolutely no apology. Good was good and server was good. Experience ended up ok but they need to teach their impatient hostesses to be kinder when the paying public enters. The server was very friendly and efficient.

The only problem/criticism for Texas Road House In Spartaburg, SC is while waiting to be seated smoking was allowed outside where seated although they stood cigarettes disposal was place around That is saying smoking is OK. NO Smoking signs should be posted. Secondary smoke also kills. The food was great. Just the wait with smokers near by was a problem...

I have eaten there many, many times and i've always had good service. Even to-go orders. The steaks are always cooked perfectly and i for one love their salads. Even a friend who is very picky said that is the best restaurant meal he has had in years.

One of Greenville's best restaurants... Always stop in when I'm in town

Hostesses are RUDE, young and very inexperienced. Had extreme difficulty seating a large party. Even with call ahead several days before. Manager on duty didn't have a clue. Luckily wait staff was fantastic. Krista was great along with several others that served our party. Missy, the one who took our order seemed irritated that we were there. She wasn't very nice. Food was good though.

This restaurant is one of our favorites. While this is a steakhouse, we enjoy the delicious grilled salmon with a garlic butter sauce. The portion is very generous (as we always have leftovers) and it is grilled to perfection. The service staff is always very accommodating and professional. We have never experienced a negative visit and we always look forward to going there.

This place never disappoints! After waiting less than the time expected, we were seated in the very busy restaurant. We were immediately greeted by a smiling, friendly waitress. The place is so fast, we received our salads before she could bring us our drinks. She did a fantastic job, but the real test is seeing if the steak is cooked properly. Once again, it was perfect for my hubby. I had barbecue chicken & it was very good. It was too much for one person to eat! This is a place that never disappoints.

Okay, this may become one of my new favorites. We've gone a few times over the last few weeks and have had great steaks each time. Perfectly done at a very fair price. Service was expertly done. Yummy peanuts. Beer selection was good. What else could i ask for when seeking a simple meal out!

Our car club hosts a cruise-in in the parking lot beside Texas Roadhouse every month. Every month we enjoy participating and going to Texas Roadhouse to eat during the event. This month the marketing coordinator came out and was EXTREMELY rude to my husband, who was volunteering by doing parking. She yelled at him that there was not enough spaces for Texas Roadhouse guests to park (even though they have their OWN parking lot). She then sought out the president of our club and I watched (as many others did) as she berated him. Completely unprofessional. What she fails to realize is this. Many, many people that the cruise-in brings ARE customers of the restaurant. It is insulting to be treated like pee-ons. Jennifer, the manager did come out and aplogize to my husband. Although we appreciate the overall support of Texas Roadhouse of our charity cruise ins, we as a family will never spend another dime at this restaurant. It's a shame. I would have rated them as 4 stars otherwise. The 2 stars is only because of the decent food. Their marketing person is a joke. No tact. No class. Unprofessional. I'm not sure what she's selling but it certainly isn't a good time at her restaurant.

Great food, but calling in for takeout is horrible. Called to place an order, drove 15 minutes to get there, ordered in person, and got my food while on hold. They apparently leave you on hold on purpose to not deal with you.

They start you out with a bucket of peanuts and a basket of rolls and a cinnamon butter. The rolls and butter are truly delicious. To the point of where I have considered driving by and asking if I could just purchase those! I typically order a 6 oz. sirloin, medium, with a house salad and baked potato. I have had the cook of the steak come out hit or miss (the one negative, but pretty substantial). The house salad has huge croutons that I normally discard, but the ranch dressing is very good (creamy, not vinegar runny). The baked potato is coated is coarse salt, so watch out if you are avoiding salt...but bring it on for me!! That meal runs just around $10, so a good bargain! If they could nail down the cook of the meat, this would be my favorite steak place around Greenville.

Iama Critic Rating - Texas Roadhouse - 4 Stars 3140 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC Overall: Holy cow, finally a restaurant that goes UP with a follow up visit! Texas Roadhouse now deserves it's 2012 Consumer Picks award. Texas Roadhouse was a steak house delight. I loved every single item I ordered and my guests were very pleased. The prices were on the high end for the entrees, but still managed to be reasonable, at least for the quality. Now that huge porterhouse, which was seriously priced, might need some extra consideration of your wallet before you go "all in". Unlike our last trip, our waitress clearly told us about the up-charges for various items, so we were not surprised when we received our bill. Table Peanuts - 5 Stars They are your average, ordinary peanuts, however the fact that you actually get peanuts and can still throw them on the floor, is not ordinary so we LOVE THEM! $3.99 - No Bean Bowl of Chili - 2 Stars Whoa there cowboy, this "bowl" is a whole lot smaller than the last bowl I ordered at Texas Roadhouse. This is no bigger than a cup. This chili is no longer a value so we can't recommend it. $3.99 - House Salad - 3 Stars I didn't pay any secret charges this time. But this salad just doesn't make the cut. It is just too plain and small for $4. $4.49 - Fried Pickles - 4 Stars These are some of the best tasting fried pickles I have ever ordered. However, I just can't help but think, "surely this isn't the best fried pickles get?" I am just not liking the fried pickles I have had so far, somebody must make them better somewhere. $9.49 - Mushroom Jack Chicken - 4 Stars It was ordered with mashed potatoes that were a bit plain. But the sandwich was fantastic. Sadly it did not come with the awesome bun that came on our burger. Order your sandwich with the sesame seed bun. This price of this item is at the high end of its scale, any more and it would loose a star. $9.49 - Smokehouse Burger - 4 Stars It was ordered with fries. We added a bit of seasoning on the fries to perk their flavor. The burger however was great, especially that awesome sesame seed bun! This price of this item is at the high end of its scale, any more and it would loose a star. $23.99 - 23 oz Porterhouse steak - 4 Stars his steak was ordered with a sweet potato that was loaded! Meaning you pay another $1 for the marshmallows. At least my waitress told me about this special charge this time. Make no mistake this steak is fabulous, but dang, a ranch hand only makes so much, and this steak's price will empty your wallet in a hurry. For $5 less you can have AYCE baby back ribs at Sonny's. But look at that slab o' meat and tell you don't want it! This price of this item is at the high end of its scale, any more and it would loose a star. $4.99 - Cactus Blossom - 4 Stars Remember when blooming onions were all the rage? Well you can still get a fantastic Cactus Blossom onion at Texas Roadhouse.

Good service good steaks reasonable prices. Enjoyed. Will def go back give it a try. Not as high end as Ruth's Chris but better than the other steakhouses around Greenville if you don't want to spend 50 bucks on a steak

Texas roadhouse has been a "go to" restaurant when we want to go out to eat and when we can't decide where to go, we always end up there. they have endless amounts of peanuts while you wait, my 4 yr old loves it and then they have a bread basket with cinnamon butter , great prices and service, you won't be disappointed! just a FYI if you get their filet , make sure its butterflied or else its not that great.

To go order system is a total cluster ....! Slow and unorganized. I was told my order would be ready in 15 min. I arrived in 25 minutes and my order was not ready and the young lady at the to go counter had to run back and check on it three times. Food was good, order was correct but it is just a bad system. Rolls and butter are just so darn good.

Don't waste your time. My family and I used to love going here, however the last two times we tried to eat here were disastrous to say the least. The host staff are in no way trained properly at any aspect of thier job, either that or they could care less about it! Funny given the fact that usually a gaggle of "hosts" are standing around, you would think at least one of them would have an idea of what was going on! Service is used to be ok, nothing to brag about but they got the job don't. I don't know what happened recently but boy o boy have they dropped the ball. If it is your job to sell and serve, I would at least expect you to know what beers you have on tap but it seems as though simple tasks such as this are not important. Now that is even if they get to the table! The last two times we were there no server even came over to take care of us, I will only wait so long to be able to be treated like crap and then give you my hard earned money. First time this happened I told the manager, whom mind you I had to track down on our way out, she didn't seem upset nor did she do anything to correct the problem aside from rub my arm and say she was sorry. Really, you don't know me, don't put your hands on me. After waiting a few months we recently decided to return with hopes that our last visit was a fluke. Silly us, it was worse but this time I didn't waste my energy trying to let anyone know. We won't be returning, its a shame too as our meals were always very good!

Sometimes you just want some great dead cow. I like every aspect of this restaurant--the friendly service, the fun Western ambiance complete with bison heads and armadillos on the walls, the cleanliness, the menu selections, the reasonable prices, and of course the quality of the cuts of meat that are just so darn delicious. The rolls and cinnamon butter are highly addictive, so beware of them! They have a nice, fully stocked bar, so it's no trouble getting a drink or a Corona to wash your rib-eye down with. I have never had a problem with my meals here--I can't say that about other steak places in this area. I wish they had a lettuce wedge with blue cheese like Lone Star does, but I can't really complain about this place. It's awesome. Great for families, dates, or just your lonesome. I've been here a bunch of times. One weird thing is their website does not publish nutrition values for their food, which would be helpful if you have high cholesterol or diabetes or are just health conscious.

Its a fun, busy place to eat. Food is always the same - no variations :) Good steak and loaded potato. My son is very picky and loves those chicken fingers or the steak bites.
