Great home cooking at rediculously cheap prices. I had the lasagna, and my wife had the Calabash Chicken. The lasagna was as good as I've had, and came with garlic toast and a nice salad. The chicken was 8 big chicken fingers, along with a huge baked potato and slaw. With 2 drinks, the bill was less than $20. They were doing a decent business, and we saw a lot of other menu items that looked really good. The burgers and onion rings might be my next visit...

I don't know why the poor reviews because my wife and I love Harvey's!!! Meat and 3 for $7.25 and the food is southern fried food!!! Banana pudding is awesome!! Food is great. Don't know what these other people are talking about. Try it!!!

Place was packed around noon on Sundays had to wait for a table almost 30 minutes... everything was loaded with sugar and unhealthy fried food , pretty bland if you ask me :)

Food reminds me of an elementary school cafeteria, only less healthy. Very bland gravy, meat and cornbread (tasted like yellow cardboard). Veggies were from a can and basically inedible. Also as I moved the offending beans around on the plate and found a piece of hair. You can eat very cheaply here. This is a typical southern "meat & three" place, meaning your choice of meat plus a choice of three sides for $6-7. None of the sides are fresh green veggies, more like bland picnic food, potato salad and fried stuff. They also offer salads and other specials. One good thing I can say is the service is fast and they have good tea. If you are looking for cheap eats, have low standards for quality, are not offended by hideous mustard yellow paint, this just might be the place for you.

Southern cafeteria style food. Good on the buds havoc on the heart. Eat here if grease is good is your motto!

Oh my goodness, I have found a great meat-n-three at last! I have twice been to Harvey's for dinner and have been impressed on both occasions. The food is tasty, the prices are ridiculously cheap, and the service has been fantastic both times. Harvey's is definitely the kind of place to go for some down-home Southern cookin'! I will admit that healthy options are scarce on this menu. I am not sure if they have gluten-free or vegetarian options. However, if you're looking for comfort food, they have it in spades! They have a regular menu to select from and then a daily meats and side items menu as well. They update their Facebook page daily with the daily selections. They also have a Friday Fish Fry each week. Most of their dinners are $10 or less, with the daily "meat and three" option at $7.50 (or you can choose only one or two sides for a little less money). For that price, it is definitely a lot of food. The two of us have eaten here for less than $20. The first time we came was on Friday Fish Fry night, which was flippin' awesome. I had their Alaskan whitefish dinner, which came with hush puppies, slaw, and fries. Their hushpuppies are AMAZING. They do something to make them extra crispy on the outside, but the inside is perfectly soft and seasoned. Their fries and fish were both excellent as well. The coleslaw is vinegar-based, which is probably the only thing that was just ok (I prefer the creamy kind). I also ordered sweet tea, which was refreshing because it was not overly sweet. My partner got some Calabash shrimp and enjoyed that as well. Their batter for it was very light, crispy, and not overly salty. Our second visit we decided to try to go with a meat and three. I ordered the country fried steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, fried squash, and the daily dessert, which was a strawberry shortcake. The country fried steak had a great crispy batter, and the white gravy was SO GOOD. The fried squash had the same batter as the Calabash items, which was delicious. My partner ordered the Calabash chicken and steamed cabbage. Everything was really great and well portioned. We also got to choose a bread to go with it, which we both chose their cheddar biscuits. Hands-down these are the best cheddar biscuits (they put the ones at Bojangles to shame!). In case you can't tell, I am in love with this place. It may not be the healthiest option in town, but the food is tasty and the prices are cheap.

Folks, this restaurant is not 5-Star fine dining. It is a Southern Food, meat and three, restaurant. Don't expect to be treated like royalty, but like family. The staff is always friendly and the food is..., well, Southern. You'll get a good meal with good service for a good price. This is a family style - meat and potatoes - restaurant in Taylors, SC, for god sakes people, not a french cuisine cafe in Paris.
