I was craving "lo mein" so I decided to order here. Well it sure did do the job right, it's not "that one Chinese takeout" in town, but if your craving Chinese this is a spot to try. Portion: great Taste: good Call in take out time for me: 5 mins Overall I'm satisfied.

Used to be one of my favorite inexpensive spots for takeout until recently. I ordered dinner for my family which all arrived almost 3 hours after placing it and mine was wrong. The person on the phone when I called back to tell them this said it would be an hour wait and asked if I wanted my order considering-I said yes and was told they could EXCHANGE the wrong item for what was originally ordered. I honestly thought this was a miscommunication but when my correct order arrived I was asked for the wrong item in its place!!! I could have done a lot of damage to that rice in the hour I waited and I'm sure my incorrect order went to someone else! Health violation/cross contamination/ downright cheap. I'll pay a little extra now knowing I won't get someone's hand me down order!

Tender steamed plain chicken n for a small dish not bad at all for the price. I just wsh they were able to sense thegarlic smell in th chicken even though I asked for plain. It was contaiminated with a garlic smell... :_( I have the 99.9% food allergy... n I know original chicken smells. Kudos to them at least trying to accomodate my special diet needs...dont know if they can try it again without the garlic smell contaminatin the chicken tho...to be continued.

Having lived in both Los Angeles and New York, I'm used to relatively decent Chinese takeout, which usually features the standard dishes along with a few off-the-wall specialties. While visiting my parents in Greenville, we tried this place, which is sadly several steps down from mediocre mall food like Panda Express. Every dish is filled with enough salt and sugar to obliterate all other flavors, the vegetables are overcooked to the point of sogginess, and the meats are fried with enough grease to stop your heart. Oh, and it's completely Americanized... no Szechuan dishes or anything beyond the dull and obvious. Only plus is that the portions are large for those on a budget. To borrow from the old axiom, "it tastes like crap, but there's a LOT of it!"

Eat here weekly. Great regular spot. Usually ready for pick up in 5 minutes. Not going to win awards, but great service and I look forward to ordering when I decide to call.

My husband and I always order here when we want Chinese delivery. They usually get our food to us within half an hour. Yummy food, good portions, and the price is decent. Can't go bad with the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant!

This is my regular spot for take-out. They're consistent and the food is pretty good. It's take-out and it's fast. I've been ordering from this restaurant for quite a while now and they've never let me down. It's a safe bet.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
