I had a Groupon for Ye Ole Fashioned. I'm glad I tried it, but I doubt I'll go back. The ice cream is good but I don't think it's special. I can spend my money on a 1/2 gallon at the grocery store and get as good quality as they have. The food is mostly fried. The restaurant reminds me of a bigger DQ Brazier store, and I've never much liked the brazier idea. If you like DQ Braziers, you'll like Ye Old Fashioned just fine.

My friends and I are from out of town and I know I enjoyed myself here. I got the turkey club sandwich. Nothing to write home about but good none the less. Typical diner setting and I'll probably go back!

You need to know what to expect when you get there. Greasy yummy food and good ice cream. Fries are great. Gonna get fat here but enjoy it! And walk carefully, floor even sweats grease.

We've been apartment hunting for two days here in town and Ye Ole Fashion Ice Cream & Cafe kept catching our eye driving through town and after playing in the beach we decided to stop on our way back home to Ohio. One of my Best last minute decisions! The burgers are the thing to get even if they aren't your thing. However I ordered a double cheeseburger figuring it would be at least twice the size of a McDonalds double cheeseburger but I was wrong it was more like 8x the size of a McDonalds double cheeseburger!! The chicken salad sandwich and chicken noodle soup were both ok, not disappointing, bit nothing to write home about, didn't seem homemade. The ice cream is also delicious and they have a lot of flavors including apple pie with actual chunks of apple!

Unsanitary!! How are all of your garbage cans overflowing in your prep area and you are preparing food over the garbage!!!???? First move the cans from the areas where you are preparing customers orders, key word garbage. I was amazed that no one took the time out to dump 3 overflowing garbage cans. Clean up your area

There ice cream is wonderful, but the sanitation is terrible .... Talk about gross. Over filling trash cans and it could use a serious wipe down.

I really wanted some ice cream so decided to come here. Was looking for some homemade ice cream but I don't think there is any in the area so decided to come here since it's a staple in the area I guess? It was good but nothing special. I got 1 scoop of ice cream ("jr dip" I think it's called) and it was more like 3 scoops to go. The service was kind of slow but they were nice. If I had more of an appetite I would probably have gotten a sundae. Maybe next time!

Spoiler: Drive through time from order to food in hand is approximately 20 minutes. In fact, eating here will take you a lot longer than you think it should. Worth the wait? Eh. Depends on how precious your time is. Food is absolutely delicious. The ice cream is tasty as well, though I'm not sure it's worth the money you spend on it. We created our own wraps in the drive through: Hawaiian Chicken. They made it just as we ordered it with generous portions.

The place looks a bit off , but the menu is very convenient for a quick stop. Burgers are huge and tasty. Banana split was yummy too.

Went here late Saturday for a quick bite to eat. We didn't have high hopes as this is a diner type of place. We ordered a corn dog and fries to split. Very basic, nothing great, even tasted funny. The place itself really needs a deep clean. The tables were pretty gross. I'd give this place one star if it weren't for their ice cream and the friendly servers there. The ice cream was awesome. I'd come back for that but don't eat inside or order food. I didn't expect much but the ice cream was a nice surprise.

My family came in during lunch. We ordered a club sandwich, egg salad on wheat, a chef salad and a large order of sweet potato fries. It took 30 minutes to get our food and the restaurant was only half full. They had 5 employees working but they had no roles defined or system in place and everyone seemed exhausted and frustrated and it showed to the customers

I only had ice cream, so I can't comment on the food. Had the butter pecan, turtle cheesecake, and cherry amaretto. The butter pecan was decent, the other two were mediocre. Service was good though, so I give them bonus points for that. But save your money and go to the grocery store for ice cream instead.

Went there today for first time in Summerville. What a dirty, filth mess of a restaurant! I almost slipped on the floor and told them it was slippery. They said they put salt down to help! To help? Every heard of a broom? The waitress told the manager who just snarled and did nothing. If if we're inspected it would be shut down. The floor was filthy and black throughout. Unbelievable! The owners should show up unexpected one day and shut it down! Really good milkshake though. I won't be back.

The cafe has the diner style charm and the best ever vanilla ice cream!! For someone who never even looked at vanilla in the past, it must take a lot to say this!!
