Food was good. I loved the sushi selections. Price was excellent for the amount of sushi ordered. Atmosphere just wish a little more... I didn't get the hibachi feel/nor the small sushi rolling station. I will continue to go get publix rolls.

Terrible place the food is always overcooked and when you call because you got the wrong order the manager wants to argue not fix the problem . They need to get the food inspector in this particular one it will not pass

Say No! The food here used to be great and has slowly gone down hill to the point now where you're left with a sticky tables bad service and poor quality of food. What used to be one of our favorite restaurants is now a restaurant we will no longer be patrons of.

Not really impressed. The chicken was extremely dry and the broccoli was undercooked. The only hibachi restaurant that charges you for extra white sauce and other condiments. Not a fan and won't eat here again.

I think the food is excellent! Only had one bad experience where the shrimp and steak was severely overcooked, already took it home and wasn't about to get back in the car. But the good by far outweighs the bad! I laugh every time I get there, because the guy that runs the front is so monotone and kinda reminds me of a younger version of the dry eyes commercial dude. lol.

I would much rather go here then to any of the high priced hibachi joints. The food just tastes better and is a heck of a lot more reasonable in price. It's also nice that their rice is not smothered with bacon. As for the sushi, I'm not sure where all these great reviews came from. It is, maybe, a step above grocery store quality, it's just not that good. Get your sushi somewhere else, but definitely get the hibachi

My wife and i really enjoy the food here...never have dined in but love picking up some carry-out on those nights we want to be lazy. Service has always been friendly and quick! I always get the chicken fried rice with the broccoli and sweet carrots!

This is the second location for Sanno; the original is in Goose Creek. Located on 17-A (North Main Street) near the College Park Road intersection, tucked away in a newly-built strip mall, Sanno has brought their casual Japanese dining to the S'ville-Ladson area. The space itself is small, but nicely thought-out. Tables are arranged for two or three people, and there's a small sushi bar against the wall for those who just want a fish fix. The restaurant has been arranged to allow maximum comfort where there's not much room, but the tile floors and exposed ceiling mean that it can get pretty noisy when this Sanno is crowded. The staff are generally pleasant, but when the restaurant gets busy they can be a little stressed and overworked. This should definitely not be your choice for a quiet spot for an intimate meal. The menu offers all of the favorites from the GC Sanno location; delicious hibachi meals (shrimp, chicken, or beef with vegetables and your choice of white or brown sauce), tempura, and a reasonably varied selection of sushi. All portions are liberal, and the selections from the small sushi bar are fresh and well-made. Sanno has a license, so if you're dining in you can choose from various import, domestic and Asian beers as well as saki to complement your meal. All items can be ordered as carryout -- great for a night of watching Godzilla movies and feasting on tekkomaki and dragon rolls! This second Sanno retains the strengths of the first location -- good, unpretentious Japanese cuisine at reasonable prices, perfect for a quick meal or a casual night out -- and is a very welcome addition to the somewhat limited choices for budget meals and takeout in the Summerville/Ladson area. The next time you're tired, you don't feel like cooking, and you're considering a stop at a McBurger joint or pizza place, give Sanno a try instead. You'll be glad you did!
