They are back open. The food is the same with the new owners. I think they are the relatives of the owner that died. I ate there April 10, 2015. It was a nice and as great as before.

You don't put cilantro on Italian food its gross. The sauce was horrible. Go get some Chef Boyardee its a better deal and better food

The food here is terrific. We've recently moved back to the area after being gone for four years, and this was one of our first dinner out destinations once we got settled. We were so pleased to see (and taste) that the food is still just as delicious as ever. We got our old favorites and they tasted exactly the same; which to me says a lot since it had been so long since we had eaten there! We were a little dismayed to see the disrepair of the decor/tables/benches. I know that Rosario has passed and that things have been a little rough recently so they definitely get a pass on this, but I figure it's worth mentioning. What they don't get a pass on was the awful waiter we had. Super slow and really inattentive. My husband, my two children and I all ran out of drinks more than once and we had to ask for everything - napkins, straws, bread... We even had to ask another served for our check because we couldn't find our waiter at that point. So I would absolutely go back, because you just can't get this type and caliber of food elsewhere, but I will be curious to see if it was just one bad server, or if their entire serving staff is this way.

This is NOT an Olive Garden, okay? Real Italian food, really authentic, rustic, fresh, and full of wonderful flavors. Table bread is addictive but don't load up on it as you have delicious offerings just about to be served. Their pizza is delicious but it's their entrées and specials you come here for. Their daily specials especially, you must try those! A great little place with honest Italian cuisine.

We love the calzones here. The staff are always top notch. We also love the decor. The prices are reasonable and we love the food. Also, I love the coffee and the gnocchi. You need to try if you ever are in town.

It was . . . okay. The service was good. I had the shrimp scampi which begged for more shrimp. Weak bread and sauce. They were reminiscent of bread from the freezer with pizza sauce thrown on top. My husband and son had a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The sausage was not typical being flat rather than the squat kind. Different atmosphere with it's lighting, but odd table/seating which did not add to aesthetics. Overall good, but not really interested in return trips.

Pros - everything tastes homemade, I love all the pasta dishes I've tried. My son loves the pizza (I'm not crazy about it). I especially love their vodka sauce, especially when served over the lobster ravioli. The portions are smaller than most restaurants but are perfect for a full meal. The pasta dishes I've ordered included small loaves of bread and dinner salads. We leave full but with no leftovers. The pizza is priced well, the dinners are a bit expensive so we don't get to go as much as we would like. Everyone has always been very friendly.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
