For a long time, I was blind. I went through life thinking the be-all, end-all of fast food meant greasy, cookie-cutter hamburgers and inconsistent fries or variations on a protein concoction branded "chicken." Then, in high school, I discovered Chipotle. Whenever I visit a new city and don't know what to eat, I always make sure to look up the nearest Chipotle just in case. When I arrived in Spartanburg, SC, the story was no different. One Sunday afternoon, we sought out Chipotle as an extremely late breakfast option and were, of course, not disappointed. Both of our burrito bowls were excellent (chicken, naturally). We like the bowls because they allow us to mix everything evenly. They didn't scrimp on the sour cream, which is of the utmost importance. The sweet tea was exactly what I expected. The chicken was cooked to perfection. The parking - unlimited. Who could ask for anything more?

Love this place! I've been to this location twice while traveling and it has yet to disappoint. The staff is super friendly and the ingredients are fresh. They cook the meat and sauté vegetables right in front of you. They'll also let you sample the meat before you choose which one you want. I recommend the beef or barbacoa. The menu is easy to understand, there are options for kids, and the burritos are huge! The restaurant has an industrial feel so it's not very comfortable for a long period of time, but it's great for a quick and cheap meal. Definitely go!

I was excited to see that Spartanburg was getting a Chipotle. This Chipotle is like most, but slightly smaller than other locations in the Upstate area. When it gets packed for lunch or dinner, there is very little room to sit and eat. When dining for lunch, the line workers have a hard time keeping rice and other toppings in stock. This place is Excellent place to grab a quick lunch or dinner.

This CMG is NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE. The TASTE of the food and PORTION SIZES are INCONSISTENT at the Spartanburg location. I usually get a bowl when dining at CMG, but every now and then, a chicken burrito. AND, on my last visit to this store, I asked the manager why the server put only a few crumbles of chicken on my burrito in comparison to other locations I've visited. Her curt reply, " I don't know how because it's only supposed to be four ounces." Yet, no one measured it, only eyeballed it. So, I went looking for answers. According to the company's employee handbook, 1.burrito-makers are instructed to dole out one four-ounce scoop of meat 2.one-ounce portions of cheese, 3.four-ounce portions of guacamole in each BOWL "And the book even comes with some pro-tips so employees don't over-serve." 4. Workers are encouraged to "grasp spoons toward the bottom so they have more control over the portions" 5. an appropriate one-ounce cheese serving is apparently measured by a three-finger "pinch" of cheese. NOW, I get the cost of doing business, but these instructions were not followed when making my 'WHERE'S THE MEAT' burrito. And even worse, it was hospital food bland. Does this CMG have an upcharge for seasoning on certain days??? I don't know what's going on at this location, but the inconsistency of product taste and portion size are enough for me to say, Adios!

Chipotle is my favorite fast food. It's healthy, affordable, friendly and fast. I love it and I can't get enough!

As usual they didn't disappoint the guacamole is so good I literally can't stop eating it. I normally get it to go so I can enjoy it at home and maybe even save some for later but there was no later this time I love this place thanks. Gotta try a margarita next time.

The food is always great but the location is terrible. When peak hours hit, it is impossible to get in the parking lot.

I love to frequent here. I never remember to check in. Been about ten times in the last month and a half. I love the food here. The quesadillas are awesome. The bowls are very big and fill me up. The quesarita is a monster. I got two meals off of it. The only thing I'd change is their incessant behavior of not filling up the cup if you order guacamole. I've never seen any other location be an offender of this. Otherwise, great eat spot!

The ingredients always taste fresh. Never had a bad burrito had. Well worth the extra few cents over moe's across the street and the funny thing is, I love moe's too. Moe's has turned into a lunch spot with the fellas and chipotle with family.

My go-to spot when I need a quick paleo lunch when I'm stuck in Spartanburg for work. There aren't a lot of places near our plant that have healthy choices that are fast, so I end up here a lot. It's got all the usual Chipotle features, so I won't go into detail other than to say that they've cleared up the issues that Nick R. experienced when they'd first opened. They usually run smoothly and I haven't run into them being out of anything when I was there. The only reason I didn't throw the 4th star on there, was the last two times I've been in there, they've really gone light on the guacamole, and since they charge $2 for it, I usually expect more. All the other locations that I frequent give bigger portions, so I'm not sure what's going on, maybe just bad luck.

Barbacoa, chicken, or steak you can't go wrong. The guacamole is fantastic as well. This place smokes Moe's, not even in the same stratosphere.

Chipotle's corn salsa makes the whole trip worth it. Yeah, they're a little more expensive than Moe's but they don't skimp on their serving size.

Definitely a fan of Chipotle! I'd heard about it before and thought of it as just another Moe's. Boy, was I wrong. The food is very fresh and spicy; two things I love. The line is fast and choices are pretty easy to make. The staff is helpful if you have a question or have trouble deciding. My only negatives for the place is the seating. There are only a couple tables that would be appropriate for the kids and they are normally taken. We're left with the high tables or the round no-back seats at the window. Other than that... the place is great. Always a treat and when we share a bowl...not so bad on the ole calories.

The food is excellent i love it.. The food is a bit pricey but i don''t mind because it i healthier. I like the bowls they are really excellent. We go eat the bowls and then go get some Yogurt Mountain next door when we are finished which is also excellent.

There were few moments as joyous as when I found this Chipotle in Spartanburg Pros: + Delicious shredded beef and grilled chicken. Perfectly spiced and juicy. + Tons of great salsas, from corn and jalapeno to very hot chilis. + Tasty sour cream and cheese. + Quick and easy, with lots of parking, and a reasonable price for a great quantity of food, be it burrito, bowl, quesadilla, tacos, or salad. + Tasty chips Cons: - This Chipotle cost itself 4 stars for a really simple reason, they can't keep the pans stocked during busy times, like dinner. Two of 3 times they had a line to the door because they ran out of chicken... and steak... and barbacoa... and vegetables. This is extremely unusual for Chipotle in my experience. At the time, they had only been open for a month, and perhaps they can work through that. - Occasional rice overcookery. - Service seems miffed a lot. - The guacamole is still not worth $1.85 - Left hand turns across 3 lanes of traffic suck. A light would help. Overall, this is a godsend in the Spartanburg area for fast casual deliciousness, but they need to work through all their issues first.

I usually like Chipolte, but I ate there last night and was vomiting terribly at about 4am. I still feel awful. Thanks for ruining my St. Patrick's Day Chipolte. I will never eat there again.

For a fast food place this is about as good as it gets. I will only eat at Subway and Chipotle. The food has been good every time I have been there. Glad there is one in Spartanburg

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
