My friend's mom ordered her a cake (praline) for her birthday, and it was the best cake I've had in my entire life. Period. I'm just hoping for someone's birthday to come soon just so I can order them a cake and eat it.

This bakery is the best that I have ever been to. I go quite often for coffee at the Hub city Coffee bar which gets its baked goods from the Cakehead Bakeshop.........There is always some sort of quiche, scones, muffins, and breads. It's different every day, I have tried the quiches, pimento cheese bisucits, blueberry muffins, all kinds of scones such as orange, peach and strawberry, cranberry etc , almond bread. It is all fresh and at 7:30am it is still warm from the oven. It is absolutely deliciious. I have found it to be quite habit forming. Also, you will not find a better chocolate chip cookie. There must be at least a hundred chips in each big cookie. The Prices are VERY reasonable also. I give this a 5 star rating and I hope that others will try this wonderful shop. Spartanburg is lucky to have the Cakehead Bakeshop.

The cake was beautiful although much more expensive than it should have been for the small size but i still loved the work so I payed...but the cake was flavorless and very disappointing...it was a three year olds birthday cake and the kids at the party wouldn't even eat it...so very disappointed with this decision...I've never thrown $125 away faster :(

Enter through the Coffee Shop (Little River Coffee) This tiny Bake Shop is a great idea for a Business inside a Business (Little River Coffee) inside an old Masonic Lodge. Shooting Signs is one of my favorite Photos - Unfortunately for me, READING Signs (even the Signs I photograph) is lost in the art for sure in this particular situation - they have Ice Cream, Homemade Ice Cream here and I had to read my photo days later, to see what i was missing out on! The girl working here was friendly! I was hoping for another bored Bakery attendant, maybe next time and hopefully they will still have Ice Cream!

Sweet & salty caramel cupcake was amazing! $2.50 each but worth it. Can't wait to try the others. Cute shabby chic cottage style nestled inside the Masonic Temple downstairs coffee shop. Nice seating areas for singles or groups. Board games available. Cool artwork dresses the walls.

We make an occasional trip just to get a special treat for ourselves and our girls. There are always unique flavors to try. I had a strawberry cheesecake cupcake once that was amazing. Not a big fan of their red velvet, but everything else has been super delicious. The variety is always changing so you may not always find your favorite, but that gives you a good excuse to try something new! The cupcakes are a heavy dense type cake which we prefer. All in all we highly recommend you give them a try.

Finest southern baked goods. Discovered this gem while traveling. Located inside coffe shop the girls are busy making yummies like soysage on biscuit with grape jelly and cheddar. Yum! Nice industrial feel with southern hospitality.

I love these cupcakes! Yesterday I tried a new one, The Raspberry Pie Cupcake, and it is easily my new favorite! I discovered this place on a whim after living in Hawaii and missing the Hokulani Bakeshop. Since then, I can definitely say this place has them matched! My only issue is trying not to eat here every day, because having coffee & cupcakes is seriously heaven.

The presentation of the cakes and cupcakes are wonderful. However, these treats are not as good as they look, in my opinion. I ordered the yellow cake with buttercream frosting and I was very disappointed. The cake is extremely dense. One of the guests at the party where the cake was served said it tasted like "cornbread with frosting on it." The frosting was not as smooth as you expect buttercream to be. All in all, I was expecting something great from the other reviews I saw from other yelpers, but I was disappointed. :(

Cakehead is located in the old Masonic Temple building right next to the new Hub City Bookshop. I tried the Stephen's Muse cupcake which is cappuccino cake, dark chocolate chips, and white chocolate icing. The cupcake was great. It was nice and moist and the icing was tasty. I think Cakehead will be a nice addition to downtown Spartanburg, and will probably be going back soon to buy a whole cake!
