This place packs in, wall-to-wall On a busy night A low-lit live jam music joint With bourbon and Bud Lite The barkeep's hella friendly And remembers what you like You won't find much for food though Just talent on the mic Some nights are low and lazy Slow jazz on the stage Some nights are blowin' crazy Horns and dancing rage There's an act that covers Dead songs They bring the college crowd I don't care much for woo girls Tequila makes them loud The blues jams are the business though And make me realize Sparkle City's got more soul Than Greenville even tries So if you're passing though here And want to treat your ears Drop in sometime after nine And have a couple beers

Jazz Cellar! Put these two words close to each other and you have my Attention! Found this place by accident (a very beneficial one)... Right around the corner from "Lime Leaf"! What I LOVE most about Music is the "Sound" and What I LOVE most about Jazz is what IMPROVISATION... What is happening between the notes! I'll be back to this place!

You have to go here. This is the coolest place in all of Spartanburg. Located in a basement of an old building. It is just a great place to relax and drink. Don't expect to be able to talk. it gets really loud! Seating get full and can be hard to get a good spot.

Located in the basement of an old downtown Spartanburg building, Blues Boulevard is a cool, little club with big sounds. It has a modish, candle-lit décor complete with hanging lamps over the tables. Watch those lamps! Everyone bumps into them. This venue presents blues and an assortment of new, old style and smooth jazz. Artists are drawn primarily from the Carolinas. There's a wealth of talent here, so it's not necessary to cast the net further. Melodius Earth, often booked for Fridays plays classic jazz from the 50's and 60's. For earthy blues, stop in when Riyen Roots and the Family Tree is in town. Support live music. Visit Blues Boulevard. You'll be smiling when you leave.
