Stopped by because we are traveling and looking for some food we knew and could rely on. BIG MISTAKE A standard ruby restaurant and as we walked in the salad bar looked good but we wanted something more solid. Place was clean enough as most corporate places are, that's about all the good I can say about this location. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger and hamburger both with onion rings as an extra charge. First the onions rings were tiny bits of "onion straws" greasy looking and so old and cold we did not even try them I asked the waitress about the onion rings and were told, "oh we are out, that's what we are serving this week" Would have been nice to know this when we ordered, huh? We requested the standard French fries please.... At least the burgers should be good. When I opened the bun to put on some ketchup I noticed the bun was stale OK no biggie I was hungry.. the meat looked a little grey so I cut it open and saw RAW meat... Not undercooked but raw meat... This was the last straw....bad pun i know...i pointed out the problems to the manager and we left, luckily there was a five guys burger place across the street.

Close to the Holiday Inn, Ruby Tuesday's was my destination for dinner on this firat night of a four night business trip. Started off with the salad bar. Still disappointed that Ruby Tuesday as a whole has removed cottage cheese from it salad bar. I had one employee at a different RT tell me that it was because of complaints from too many lactose intolerant people. Waving the big BS flag on that one. It was confirmed it was removed because it has predominantly the most expensive item on the salad bar. Ordered a petite sirloin with a side of mashed potatoes, because if you have read previous reviews you know I have a high school reunion coming up. Sirloin ordered medium well. Should have just said burnt, super dry and sometimes difficult to cut. Then I would have gotten exactly what I asked for. Mashed potatoes portion was about the size of a tennis ball cut in half. I knew they were going to be smaller because it was designated with the low calorie icon in the menu. Will just have to offset the portions with an unnecessary piece of cheesecake. New York style with a "generous blanket of berry sauce". This cheesecake is huge. At least 3 inches thick. The "generous" blanket was mostly on the plate by the time it got to me. Was also surprised that they brought this to me with two spoons. I was sitting by myself did they think I was going all in on this and going to use both hands? Overall it was the best part of the meal!

We live in Fountain Inn, and did not want to travel into Greenville for dinner. Wendy was our server, and she was very professional about things. We had the dinner for two under $20. It took well over 40 minutes for us to get our entree from the time we ordered. However Wendy complimented us with some other appetizer to please our wait. Once we got our entree, the food was blend, medicore with most other chain restaurant. The steak was dry, and well over cook for medium asking. The potato were cold as I assume my dish was cooked before my partner dishes, and was a sitting duck waiting for the other dish to be done. Other then that, good service.

Iama Critic Rating - Ruby Tuesday - 2 Stars 3901 Grandview Drive, Simpsonville, SC Overall: I was the first critic to review this Ruby Tuesday. For this distinction Yelp gives me a little credit in the form of higher "1st to review" numbers. But the minute I update this review Yelp will take that credit away. But I would rather lose the distinction of being the first critic than to see you, a worthy customer, spend your hard earned money at this (*)awful restaurant. Usually when I post a two star review I feel unhappy about it. So I only post my poor reviews on Yelp instead of all my review websites. (Unless an owner posts a public response). But I don't feel bad this time. This time I am performing a public service! This Ruby Tuesday is so bad it deserves to "Die by Review". Just like Tablefields, El Taquito, Tokyo Bay, El Ricon and all the other restaurants I reviewed poorly that are now closed. This Ruby Tuesday has gotten so bad that I could no longer stay silent. Ruby Tuesday changes its menu more often then they change the toilet paper in the restroom. (Perhaps a slight exaggeration. but you get my point.) And with every new menu they are raising the prices. Which would be acceptable if their portion sizes or quality were also improving. But you have a better chance of seeing new toilet paper than you have of seeing a decent steak, a nice piece of salmon or an actual 23 count jumbo shrimp! The Service - 1 Star (11% tip) The service we received was weird. Our waitress served me quite well, but totally ignored my female guest critic. Not a wise move on Valentine's day. My guest critic has special food needs and used to love Ruby Tuesday because of the salad bar. After this night she will never set foot in another Ruby Tuesday! If she had any say there would have been no tip, but I always pay the bill and left an undeserved 11% $7 tip. We typically provide 20% or more for 5 star service on the pre-tax portion of the bill, 18% for 4, 15% for 3, 12% for 2 and 0% for 1 star service. The Food: Salad Bar - 4 Stars Both me and my guest critic received the salad bar free with our overly expensive entrees. The salad bar is the only redeeming quality left at Ruby Tuesday. $1.00 (*)Awful Loaded Grits - 1 Star I sent back these "premium" charge rubber ball grits back to the so called chef, only for the manager to return with grits that were not cooked. Really? If I had a chef that could not cook grits he would be cooking at Waffle House! Oh wait, they actually know how to cook grits at Waffle House! $16.59 Grilled Salmon - 2 Stars Ridiculous price for a portion of salmon so small that my guest critic refused to let me take a picture of it. She said I would spend too much time cleaning up the horrid presentation and would make the fish look "too good" in my photos. $18.99 (*)Awful Ribeye - 1 Star Without a doubt the worse steak I ever had outside of a Ryan's Buffet. Golden Corral steak is better at half the price. And who charges $19 for NOT PRIME, NOT CHOICE, but select steak! Gristle everywhere. It was like gnawing rawhide and sinew. You can buy better steak at Walmart! $19.99 (*)Awful Coastal Trio - 1 Star The worse presentation I ever saw for a twenty dollar entree. It took five minutes and a clean plate for me to re-plate and "fix" this entree. And then Ruby Tuesday called these tiny 36 count shrimp "Jumbos". I had to return the grits, the lobster was overcooked by at least three minutes and the tilapia portion was tiny. The price per ounce of this entree is ludicrous. I ordered it with Cajun seasoning. But apparently the chef has never been to bayou country. But I have! *The word "Awful" was used because Yelp does not allow me to use the more appropriate, but vulgar, word for excrement! Total Bill: $74.00 for two adults including tax, a overly generous tip and two $2.59 soda fountain drinks. Final Thoughts: Until Ruby Tuesday goes out of business or stops serving two star slop for four star prices, there is no need to go there. Head to Golden Corral and get the same quality for half the price. If you want decent steak or seafood, just search my reviews and pick a restaurant with a better star count, which should not be hard.
