Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Tonite we decided to try Pizza House in Powdersvill, based on the reviews and the menu and boy are we glad we did! Our waitress Carly was very attentive and was able to list her favorites, which were numerous and very helpful/ you can tell she loves to eat there, tho she as tiny as can be, as well as work there. There were so many yummy dishes to choose from, from Lasagna (highly recommended by Carly), Manicotti, Special Alfredo dishes, to pizzas, and subs. We started with an appetizer, the hot creamy spinach dip with pita chips and it was soooo good! My husband ordered the house special calzone and I order the house special 10 inch pizza and we absolutely loved both! As always we had half our food leftover, but that's ok, that means we get to enjoy more of this wonderful food 1 more day. Highly recommend the Pizza House in Powdersville. We are looking forward to our next visit, which will probably be weekly.

Coming from dc to visit family, this sweet little restaurant sure hit the spot. I came here with my sister, mom, and dad, and we all enjoyed the southern hospitality and tasty food. I ordered the grilled chicken salad, which was great, my sister ordered Alfredo pasta, which was okay, my mom ordered the teriyaki salad, which was great, and my dad enjoyed his spaghetti. Would come back :)

We stopped by this place for dinner one night while going to an event. We did not see much in this town but as soon as I passed by the building I did a U-TURN! I was craving some pizza and saw this place. It was a Friday around 700 or so the wait was not long but they were packed! We had a short conversation with the hostests and she really seemed to love her job and the food here. She suggested we get some of the Cheese Bread. We took her advise... we ordered way too much food! We could have split the entrée. I ordered a Calzone and my wife ordered a Chicken Gyro. She did not like hers but she is not a fan of that stuff anyways. (She when outside her comfort zone.) I thought hers tasted great. I got a Calzone and it also was GREAT! But I could have only eaten one side of it. I was a total piggy and ate the whole damn thing! OMG it was so good. After dinner we were leaving and just happened to talk to the owner. What a GREAT GUY! Told him we found him on YELP and that we loved the place and next time we pass through we would totally be back. Thanks guys for a great dinning experience!

Iama Critic Rating - Pizza House - 4 Stars 50 Halter Drive, Piedmont, SC Overall: The Five Star Restaurant Review crew went to Pizza House based solely on their extremely high 4.5 Yelp rating. As we have yet to award even four stars to a pizza place, we decided to see for ourselves if Pizza House is "All That". What we found was an awesome waitress and a selection of food that easily surpasses all the three star pizza places you will find in the Upstate. To make it tougher we didn't even bother to order pizza, but all the pizzas we saw at the other tables were being enjoyed by some very happy looking folk, so we certainly feel comfortable recommended the pizza in addition to the items we ordered. The Service - 5 Stars (19%) The service we received was remarkable. Our server Ashley was sociable, interactive, and humorous. She did her job with style and grace despite having a large amount of people to serve. Ashley proves that just because you are busy doesn't mean that you don't have time to be a gracious host and do your job well. It is so rare to meet a waitress who displays such ability, and it was a pleasure to be served by such an individual. For her fabulous effort we left nearly a $12 (19%) tip. We typically provide 20% or more for 5 star service on the pre-tax portion of the bill, 18% for 4, 15% for 3, 12% for 2 and 0% for 1 star service. The Food: Side Salad - 3 Stars This salad comes as a side with most entrees. It is a rather standard and ordinary salad with the customary condiments. Side Soup - 5 Stars This soup was surprisingly wonderful. In fact I don't think I have ever given a soup five stars before. Sadly I do not know what type of soup it was. As it was the best thing I ordered I suggest showing them the photo when you order. $12.25 16 Chicken Wings - 4 Stars Dry rub buffalo flavored wings were not very hot but were exceptionally tasty. The teriyaki wings were very nice without an overwhelming flavor of soy sauce. Some of the best wings we have had, and very large too. And the price is also a real value! $12.95 Tour of Italy - 4 Stars The Tour of Italy at the Olive Garden is $16.99, but long ago it used to be the same price as this entree. Olive Garden's Tour of Italy has also gotten a lot smaller. However this entrée is far more tasty, because you know you are not getting ripped off. $6.45 Ham Hoagie - 3 Stars My guest ordered this boring ham hoagie w/$1 fries. It was good but average. However there was a decent amount of meat on the sandwich, more than the "double meat" you get at that other sub shop. $10.35 Gyro Platter - 3 Stars We have yet to find a five star gyro in Greenville County, but this gyro was pretty good. It utilizes the standard Kronos brand style gyro meat. I ordered this gyro with mixed veggies, they were good, but just looked wrong on the plate. Veggies and gyro don't mix, order fries instead! $11.55 Italian Combo Platter - 4 Stars This plate of manicotti, lasagna and a jumbo filled shell was a mix of good and great. The lasagna was great, but the manicotti and the jumbo shell were both filled with just ricotta cheese, making them both rather boring. That is just too much ricotta flavor and it overwhelmed the other flavors. $3.50 Cannolis - 5 Stars I have never had cannolis before, but if I had, I would want them to be this fabulous! This is a "Killer" desert! The cream filling is very dense and surrounded by a crispy shell. The chocolate bits add beauty to a delicious presentation. Me like cannolis now! $4.25 Strawberry Cheese Cake - 4 Stars Awesome cheesecake! But I have had some several awesome strawberry cheesecakes recently. However, only a few were this good for this price. Total Bill: $77.00 for three people including tax, tip and one soda fountain drink. Final Thoughts: The best test for any restaurant is the question, "Would I go back and spend the same amount for the same items?" My answer for Pizza House is a very positive "Yes I would". I would probably skip the hoagie and gyro and buy myself a huge specialty pizza, but at Pizza House, everything is worthy of a second trip.

Today on our road trip we stopped by Pizza House. We were greeted with friendly staff and great service. We asked the waitress for recommendations and she had a lot of them. I had the calzone made your way. It was complete delicious. If I had to recommend anything it would be that. The spaghetti was amazing as well! As for dessert, dessert was perfect. The cheesecake was not too dense or too sweet it was simply perfect.

The food is very good. The service was slow and a large group that got here way after us was serves way before us. The hoagie was very good. The gyro was as well.

My family went for dinner on Sunday. Our waitress, Dee was attentive and informative. The gyro pizza was different and tasty. The cream of chicken soup was awesome and so was everything else we ordered. You can't go wrong with the food here.

We found this place about a year ago and it has become our go to for quick Italian. I like the pizza and the calzone. My entire family like the bacon cheese fry appetizer. We can usually get seated with little or no wait, however, it seems to be catching on as we had to wait about 15 minutes on our last dinner visit. Try it, you will like it.

I'm from the New York area, and thus pizza is so close to great Italian pie it's not funny. Crust was cooked to perfection, golden brown. Sauce and cheese. Amazing. Friendly staff, always on top of service. Will definitely come back. You should try it. If I could give more stars I would

Pizza was amazingly good, took someone's advice n purchased the house calzone !!!! BEST calzone I've ever had! Pizza is also good, but as we know it's all about the sauce!! The SAUCE they use is on point and is definitely made from scratch !! Reason they're missing another star is because they're closed on Monday... And pizza like that should be open 24/7 lol

Favorite pizza place!!! Great pizza! I tell everyone I really wasn't all that picky about pizza until I ate here! The pizza and wings are the best I have had! I always get that, my husband and daughter switch it up and every dish they have tried is wonderful! Always good and friendly service, even if they are slammed! Another bonus to some would be that they also even have beer, minus a bar atmosphere. ...very very family oriented place!

I usually come in on Sunday afternoon so there is usually a bit of a wait, but the service has always been very good. I've tried their pizza and the subs are really yummy (especially with the fries added on). But I've recently had to go gluten free and most places have an iffy at best GF crust. This place however does it right. It's not chewy and it is actually crispy. They are also good enough to keep the area in the kitchen where they bake it GF as well. They definitely get two thumbs up for that.

A regular place for my hubby and I. The Greek salad and grilled chicken salad are great. Wings with the dry rub are one of our favs and my husband loves their cheeseburgers. Service is usually good and food service quick. We sometimes call in our meal and pick up on the way home-convenient!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. One of my favorite spots in the area. it is kinda pricey but I believe it is worth it. a small restaurant which makes for a peaceful evening. I enjoyed a dinner salad to begin with & the ranch was phenomenal! I believe our server said it was made "in house" & that defiantly made it that much better. I believe I would actually visit here just to try & purchase their ranch. they also put a type of cheese. maybe asiago? not quite sure but it topped the salad off. They have a normal wine list. very average. The staff was very friendly which was very surprising because its a lot of younger girls with probably no experience elsewhere. They also have a convenient drive thru. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.

Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.

For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food.
