Austins Ocean One

Reviews:
Austins Ocean One is the only full ocean view fine dining restaurant in the South Grand Strand. Located in the old Litchfield Inn, a 1970's style beach hotel/motel that was renovated rather than torn down. Never stayed in the hotel but Ocean One is damn good. Outstanding cuisine, perfect service. Beautiful wine list. Abolutely one to put on the top of your list if you're in the Pawleys/Litchfield area. And if you're looking for a more relaxed fare the downstairs, on the beach, cabana bar is about as good as it gets. It's the only beach bar on the Grand Strand that DOESN'T cater to the crowd with more tattoos than teeth. Friendly locals, great food and drink.

LOVED IT! Simple, quick lunch here with my grandfather, his boyfriend and my kids. Best ruben I've had in a while. The owner is an ACTUAL New Yorker. Prices are good, they have all natural sodas and ice cream too. Not to be missed!!!

Address above is NOT correct. They are at 5341 Hwy 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet. Phone 843 651-7877 Disclosure: the owner is a neighbor which is why I went out of my way to try it. On the other hand, we now load up in cars to go there together because it's excellent! A breakfast-lunch place, that has a monthly happening with dinner and a show for about $15 (choice of 4-5 dinners). It is the ONLY place in the Murrells Inlet area (NOT PAWLEY'S ISLAND) where you can get great food for a reasonable price. The breakfasts and lunches are traditional, generous portions, and the ambiance is terrific- Local artists display their work throughout- the wait staff are friendly and on top of things, and the chef (Charlie) is excellent. The dinner shows aren't advertised. You have to call and make a reservation. The place holds 125, and at least during the summer, they are totally sold out within a week or two of posting it at the cafe. Personally, I don't like the music - it's a little "Las Vegas" for my taste, and geared towards the "over 65" crowd. BUT, it's absolutely fun going with friends because the floor is opened for dancing and it's great watching people enjoy the music and dancing and the dinners are exceptional. A great place to bring someone new to the area because it's totally unique.

Under new ownership as of November 2014. Hours are 10a-6p Spring (Summer 'til 9p). Call ahead for closing hours since we visited on a Monday and they closed at 4p. Most sandwich combos (large drink, homemade side, and pickle spear) priced between $10-$11.50. Homemade side options are coleslaw, potato chips, or potato salad. Made with Boars Head deli meats and cheeses. Fresh soft bread varieties. Sandwiches are piled high with meat. I had the Artisan Grilled Chicken and the grilled chicken breast was juicy and tender. Topped with crispy bacon and melted provolone made it beyond delicious. My husband had the deli meat filled Yankee Stadium and it was an absolute home run. Homemade chips and coleslaw were very good sides. The owner took the time to come out and check on us. He talked about how he came to live in the area and his vision for the business since he took over back in November. I love to hear the passion of others as they talk about their craft. You can tell he loves crafting delicious mouth watering sandwiches that anyone will be sure to be pleased with. It's a great combination that promises to keep serving up quality meals every time in this quaint location. If you are in Pawley's Island, check out this small family owned business serving up belly satisfying sandwiches and soon to be more. PS- There is a creamery inside as well and we made sure to take a scoop to go. I enjoyed my scoop of coconut kisses.
We had the New Yorker, Reuben, and French Dip. All were delicious! The hand cut fries and homemade chips were perfect sides. Too much to eat in one sitting. The couple that runs the place were so friendly and talked to us for awhile. She even brought my mom a surprise banana split for her birthday!
If you are looking for a good sandwich and side while at the beach you have found the place! The sandwiches and sides are plentiful and very good. They also offer ice cream. This is our family spot for lunch! You will not be disappointed!

Was on the island for three days, I didn't find this place until the second day and still managed to eat their 3 times, that should speak volumes. Soft serve, ice cream, cones they were all good. Tons of options, maybe too many. I liked the mint chocolate and the rocky road. The staff is unbelievably friendly and accommodating, I felt like I stepped back in time to a place the customer still really mattered. Stop reading this cone up!
They have something for everyone. So many flavored to choose from as well. Smoothies, shaved ice, Italian ice, many soft serve and hard ice cream. Various come options and lots of toppings to choose from as well. We will be going back this week. For 5 of us it was $20 for a smoothie, Italian ice, frozen yogurt, sugar cone and a cup of ice cream.
Absolutely the best ice cream in pawleys! Service is always excellent! There is a discount for locals too! I have never had anything bad. The kids love the super hero flavor with a topping. And there are a ton of toppings to choose from! My faves are oreolicious and the nutella soft serve! We go at least once a week!

Delicious and beautiful restaurant! You can tell that it's a labor of love for the Sabella's. We had a wonderful evening at the bar and enjoyed every morsel of the freshly prepared Italian dishes and imported wine from Italy. Do yourself a favor and check Sabella's out! You won't be sorry.
Very impressive. Wife and husband team very nice and professional. Fetacinni and bolagnese was excellent. Short ribs fantastic. Nice addition to Pawleys island restaurants.
The Hamptons have come to Pawleys! Outstanding service! Upscale NY elegance! Best Italian fare around! Culinary genius is in the kitchen for sure! You won't be disappointed!

Landolfi’s Italian Bakery & Deli

9305 Ocean Hwy
Pawleys Island, 29585
Reviews:
Pizza Rustica not to be missed! Of course, the pastries are divine, out of this world scrumptious...especially the lobster tails and the chocolate covered key lime pie and flour less chocolate cake topped with raspberries.
The first time we went to Landolfi's was when we moved here this past summer. We went in for happy hour and got no service for 15 minutes and walked out. The second time we went in it was a couple weeks later when it wasn't quite as busy. We sat at the bar and I am not sure if the waitress/bartender was having a bad day or not. Our service was sub-par and there was a waiter behind the bar brushing his hair, another waitress eating a sandwich, and what appeared to be an off duty waitress watching TV and constantly changing the channel. Well, the other night we went to another establishment down the road and were treated very well. I thought "Why not give Landolfi's one more chance?" So we went in and sat at the bar. We ordered two drinks and an appetizer. We got our drinks and were eating a bite, so far we were having a decent time. We decided to order a pizza to take home with us, so we ordered one to go, I also went to the other side of the restaurant and ordered some dessert for us as well. So it comes down for us to pay. I give the girl my debit card and she returns and says "your card is declined." I tell her that it must be a mistake because I just used it at the other restaurant, and I had plenty of money in my account (I verified this on my phone to make sure something hadn't happened). The waitress was starting to give me attitude like I was poor or something and said that it was my fault. I told her to please try and run it again, she did-I got the same result. She showed me the receipt and it said "not captured." I did not know what this meant so I asked to speak with the manager because she was obviously not willing to try and help me figure this out. The manager came out with a HUGE attitude and asked if I wanted to use another card, I said "no because this one has money on it." He begrudgingly went to the back and ran my card. He came up with the same error message-"not captured." At this point the entire bar was looking at us. I decided to call my bank-My bank proceeded to tell me that Landolfi's had not swiped my card correctly or the company they use to process cards was not doing it correctly. My bank put a block on my card because they felt there was fraudulent activity due to Landolfi's trying to run/process my card 19 times!!!!!! I had to verify some information with my bank for them to remove the block and they told me to wait 90 seconds to swipe and I should be fine. I asked for the manager again to let him know that my card was blocked for the possibility of fraudulent activity and he proceeded to say "So it wasn't our fault then was it? I was in shock to be talked to this way. He went in the back and ran my card and it went through just fine! I proceeded to tell him that we would not be back because of horrible customer service. Then the waitress chimed in and said "Well if you used a card with money on it we would not have had this problem!" WOW! I proceeded to tell the owner that he should be kind to locals as we help support their business during the non peak season. His reply was "Do you want me to kiss your as* just because your a local?" I have NEVER been talked to like this in any restaurant-even in New Jersey where these people are from. The customer service in real Jersey restaurants puts these people to shame! I learned through all this that the manager was the owner. He proceeded to call me an as* hole and other choice words. As I was leaving he flipped me off in front of the rest of the patrons. This place is anything but classy! I am sure they will respond to this vigorously with comments to rebut what I have said, don't believe a word. I went into my office the next day and most people were not shocked at all by what had happened. People were telling me similar stories. Some of my co-workers said"you should of asked me before going there, but I guess you had to find out the hard way!" This is truly a disappointment as they have lost a customer and all the people I know for life! there are many better options out there that actually treat their customers with respect. Go elsewhere!
Stumbled on this place during the drive from Myrtle Beach to Isle of Palms. What a find! Everyone in our party ordered the oven baked pizzas. It was the perfect blend of thin crispy crust and lots of toppings (a tough balance, many places have crispy crust and no toppings, or lots of toppings and soggy pizza). Great ingredients and great service. We took a box of their desserts home. This place has the best pastries. Made to order cannolis, hand filled when you order so the pastry isn't soggy. Cheese cake was excellent, so was the key lime pie AND the chocolate dipped key lime pie. Recommended stop if your traveling this way.

Kick-butt Italian food! Great atmosphere, Killer food, good service! I would recommend it all around. It's a weekend spot for the locals and a hit with the tourists.
Great food and service. Best French onion soup I've had in the south. The short ribs were very tender.
I ate here with my girlfriend, we started with the pear salad which was drowning in the vinegrette & was way too sweet, for entrees i had the bistro bankok chicken, i have had better chicken from my locaql chinese & for a lot less money, my girlfriend had the salmon which was nothing to rave about, they served our food in an oversized cereal bowl & when i tried to cut the stems from my broccoli the bowl was tilting it was ridiculous, the staff were excellent always checking our needs, but if the bistro217 are going to advertise upscale dining show it in your food, i see other reviews here praising the food i think either they had not eaten for a few days before they arrived or the staff are writing the reviews just to get people in.

Fantastic upscale southern home cooking! Terrific!
We've visited with a somewhat large group - make a reservation - three years in a row while on vacation, and every year this has been a highlight of the trip. The shrimp and scallops with grits and truffle butter is the most decadent thing i have ever eaten. If you want to know what sin tastes like, here it is on a plate for you! Go "beach dressy" and class yourself up a bit.
Make it a point to eat here! The food, the service, the atmosphere! It's quaint. The crab soup, seasonal salads, and shrimp were delicious. The desserts we sampled made my eyes well up. The hostesses, bus boys, servers, bartenders, and cooks worked together as a team. You asked for nothing, they predicted everything! The group I went with ate there three times that Week!
