Healthy Meal suggestions for Cracker Barrel

Probably the worst place to eat in orangeburg. Service always slow & constantly walk by your table and ignore you. You have to confront or scream to get service. Food always comes out cold & flavorless. I have eaten at other cracker barrels and loved it but this one needs to be shut down & have everyone retrained.

Just as expected, it's a Cracker Barrel... it's nice to be able pull off the road, after 8 hours of driving, and get a good meal. Staff was friendly and food was as expected.

Well this Cracker Barrels was better than I had expected. I had read some recent reviews and the restaurant had been getting bad ratings. However, my experience here was really good. We were promptly seated. It did take the waitress a few minutes to get to us, but as soon as she did, she provided us excellent service. She was helpful when I was trying to decide what to order. She explained the food and how it was prepared very clearly. Our food came out pretty quickly, and everything was nice and hot. The baked chicken covered in corn flakes was really good. I'm glad that's what I finally decided to order. In the shopping area, the customer service was great. The lady working the floor was very helpful with any of our needs. I love all the cool stuff in the store. I always find something in there I want to buy. I love the chain of Cracker Barrels and this location met all the needs.

See my tip. I thank the manager purchasing my meal but that didn't change the total lack of service I received. My french fries came cold. I ordered my meal with no onions & no pickles, it came with pickles. It took three glasses of water before I finally received a cold glass of water. The first two glasses and warm water in them.

Not up to par with the Cracker Barrels I am used to. Very slow and inattentive service. Server was pleasant but never brought coffee refills. Breakfast was not hot...not even the grits. Management was invisible throughout. Worst CB breakfast ever.

I can never go wrong with Cracker Barrel. Usually get chicken tenders but today I got the country fried steak, potatoes, coleslaw and fried okra. Service is just like moms kitchen and they are all very nice.

We ate here Friday for dinner. Charles was our waiter and he was awesome! Everything was delicious! We are going back today for lunch! I used to not really like eating here because I'm a picky eater but this time was different. I think it's because we had a waiter who made us feel at home.

The first time the family was here, the kitchen managed to burn the kids' grilled cheese sandwiches to charcoal. The second time, things went much better and nothing needed to be sent back. I will say that the managers did a very good job of fixing the problem, and they were attentive. Overall, probably not the best Cracker Barrel, but above average.

Stopped by the restaurant with family and had an enjoyable meal. The food was good and the service was faster than expected (though it wasn't busy when we arrived). The food was typical fair for a Cracker Barrel, so no real surprises here. We also had a manager come by to check on us, as a previous poster mentioned.

Horrible service. Food was cold, order was wrong. Server could not possibly have cared less. Manager took care of us - after we asked for him and he didn't show at the table but we tracked him down ourselves. Don't stop at exit 145a unless you are out of gas b

Stopped here on our way to Hilton Head and were sorely disappointed. We each ordered Reuben's and one was grilled perfectly but the other was barely grilled, so badly that the server should have seen it before delivering our meal. I didn't send it back because it had taken so long to arrive. Our server also forgot to bring the cornbread ( we had to ask another server because we couldn't find ours). The restaurant was very noisy and the bathrooms weren't very clean. On top of it all, I bought a box of Mike & Ike candy ( one of my favorites). It apparently had been stored somewhere humid because they were all stuck together! Finally found one box that wasn't too bad but it tasted stale. Not that we eat a lot at Cracker Barrel but we don't plan on going back anytime soon.

Just stopped by for lunch on my way to Charleston. The food was excellent, service was great and two managers made their rounds and asked how everything was. I could not be more pleased. I even found a couple of Christmas presents in the gift shop. I

3 stars is generous, it's probably 2 1/2, at best. I am in a town on businesses for a month and have eaten there three times. There aren't too many choices in O'burg, all fast food and franchises. Breakfast is a pretty safe bet. Lunch and dinner choices are greasy, high calorie and no taste, which is standard for Cracker Barrel, but this is one of the lesser ones that I have visited. Also don't bother with the healthy choices because they are high-fat and greasy.

This was one of the best Cracker Barrel's I've been to. Which isn't saying much because they're all exactly the same. Standard store full of stuff, standard bathrooms, standard hostess, standard menu, standard service, standard food. Same, same, same. Nothing out of the ordinary.

After eating at this Cracker Barrel during a recent road trip, I will never again eat at another one. Our waitress was slower than molasses, & it took over 40 minutes for a burger & chicken sliders. They were definitely NOT worth the wait and were the most uneventful meals we've ever experienced.

When you go to Cracker Barrell, you know what to expect, a crowd of local yokels and groups traveling (like us). I like breakfast any time of the day, and CB is happy to indulge me. The rest is just country vittells that would make Granny proud.

Just left cracker barrel in orangeburg. Never again, the food was awful. Tasted old and dry. Could not eat it. The only good part was looking around the gift shop. Nasty place!

Typical Cracker Barrel. Needs more help. Was really nice because I left umbrella and glass case there and they them put up for me when I came back a few hours later. Nice people but need more help.

One of the best Cracker Barrel experiences we've had. Authentically friendly staff, quick food, even had my chair pulled out when we were seated. And they definitely didn't skimp on the blueberries in the pancakes.

What an awful experience we just had here! We love Cracker Barrel, so decided to stop by while traveling home on I26. Our entire dining experience at this place was sad. My food arrived with a hair visible in it (luckily, I saw it as soon as it was handed to me). I sent it back and they returned it after scraping the hair contaminated portion off, so my plate had stuff all over the sides of it and was missing a portion of the food. I ran out of drink before our food came and did not get a refill until after I was done with my meal. The waiter took my brother's cup to refill it and never returned it! My husband's food didn't come out until my brother and I were already done eating. We got silverware AFTER we got our food. The bathrooms were gag-worthy. Oh my goodness. So many regrets. Kitchen issues, server issues, cleanliness issues. I'm overwhelmed just recalling everything and it happened ten minutes ago.
