Five Guys Burgers and Fries

My party of six visited this restaurant on September 5, 2014 around 5:30 PM. We ordered a mix of burgers, cheeseburgers, grilled cheeses and fries. We all got fountain drinks from their fancy multi multi multi option Coke machines. Everything was cooked and prepared correctly the first time. We enjoyed the peanuts and plenty of drink refills. The music here was not as loud as many Five Guys...a good thing. As I looked around, most customers were way older than the genre of music. Might be something for management to think about.
What can I say ? Five Guys has to be one of the simplest and best franchises out there. The best French fries and burgers on the beach. I probably should be on Lipitor but I eat at various Five Guys at least once every two weeks if not more. The only way to get a better burger is to grind your own meat and grill it yourself and it will still be a challenge. You can spend considerably more and still come up short. The fries are a little more subjective to individual taste but for me they are excellent. Even the sweet tea is consistently very good.
Best hamburgers in town! Had to go back for more! The staff were very kind and polite!

We have been married almost two years and still can't stop thinking about those glazed baby carrots and our awesome wedding cake. They set up our decorations beautifully, and their staff was very professional. The food was amazing if I didn't already say that (even though our choices sounded boring due to the dietary restrictions of some of our guests). The only issue we had was the dj leaving us a message the day before our wedding saying that they didn't have any of the music. Turns out someone else they were working with had my husbands name and we had a panic attack because it was late and we couldn't get ahold of anyone to find out what was going on. Then he accidentally played a live and in Spanish version of one of the songs we chose... But other than that- it went fantastically! And they're right next to a nice grassy area where we had some of our photos done. If we decide to renew in the future we will absolutely be keeping them in mind.

Killer dog. Had the Good Morning - bacon-wrapped dog, fried egg, cheese & onion. Super tasty. Fries & onion rings were both very good. Service was fast & friendly, too. Definitely going back.
I prefer burgers to hotdogs and Gary's Carolina burger is very good. As good as the burger is The service is even better. They treat every person Like you were there best friend.
We love this place!! Had the Carolina dog and it was excellent. They're dogs have an unexpected firmness that when you bite into it it pops with flavor. You must try the fried sweet dough "pretzel". Unlike an ordinary soft pretzel, it's made with sweet dough and tastes amazing! We had it with salt but I bet the cinnamon sugar would have been even better. The guy beside us ordered a bacon wrapped dog dropped in the fryer with a fried egg on the bun. It looked delicious. The owner is very friendly and staff was attentive. We will definitely be back!!

Taste of heaven in North Myrtle Beach! Needed a birthday cake and they were on it fast. Best cake we've ever had. The owner and daughter were very friendly and helpful. Too bad they are so far from home.
I was very impressed with the variety of items - several types each of scones, breakfast sweet rolls, danish, brownies, cookies, etc. and that was just one display case. Another case had many cupcakes and fancier items for special occasions. They were doing a brisk business on a Saturday at 10:30am. The girl who worked there even boxed up some of the smaller items for me, it made a cute presentation. We got an assortment of things and they're all yummy! They have a bread baking schedule for each day of the week, so take advantage of that and place an order. This is a "take out" bakery - there's no seating or tables inside. We will definitely return here.
AWESOME!!!!!! The bear claws are to die for!!!!! We went twice while on our vacation and even stopped on our way home to take goodies back with us. We had friends go down on vacation and we had them bring us stuff back!! The staff is super friendly. We have some awesome bakeries in Pittsburgh and it's hard to find a good bakery in the soutb, well even a bakery!

Chippers

1000 Hwy 17 N,Unit A

Reviews:
Just returned from great week in NMB - without question one of the highlights of this trip was our discovery of Chippers. Although tucked away in the corner of a plaza, we were surprised, as frequent visitors to the area, to learn that Chippers has been around for about 4 years now. While our family is not ideologically opposed to chain restaurants, we do, while on vacation, try to avoid going to any place that we could patronize when we are home. One night after a particularly long pool-beach-pool day, we decided we didn't want to cook but we didn't really want to "go out" either. I had noticed Chippers on a morning run and then read some of the reviews here on Yelp. I am so glad we decided to give it a try. It was just what we needed: great food, very laid back and very much welcoming. It was such a good experience that we wound up breaking our own vacation rules and went back a second time on the same vacation. Everything was really good. Side note: Our northeastern myopia had led us to believe that Fried Bologna was a 'north of the Mason-Dixon Line delicacy' - wrong. The fried bologna sandwich at Chippers was unreal - thicker than a hamburger. It is not a big place at all but I think that is part of the appeal. While I don't think we were the only Carpet Bagging Yankees it certainly did seem to have a good mix of regulars and local folks - which is a good sign. Cannot wait to go back next Summer. Try Larry's BBQ sandwich...and the pickles...and the various types of egg rolls...yes, Egg Rolls - not sure it they'd be considered Low Country style but they certainly were good.
Loved this little hole-in-the-wall next to Food Lion in a strip center. Over the top (in a good way) friendly. Great Carolina BBQ sandwich on unexpectedly toothsome bun. Added to fresh cut fries and a cupla happy hour brews made it a perfect drop-in for early dinner. Obviously frequented and loved by locals talking racing.
The hidden gem of North Myrtle Beach. There are countless restaurants on the main strip but no one makes Food like Chippers. It's very easy to miss but well worth it. This may have been the best cheeseburger I have ever had in my life. Fresh ingredients and a great atmosphere. Be sure to check it out. You will not regret it!

All I can say is WOW. This is coming from a truly picky eater. My family chose to come here whilst on vacation and I think we most definitely will return. There was no wait, and we were immediately sat and greeted by a wonderful server (I believe his name was TJ). He was extremely knowledgable about the wines and the menu. I ended up ordering the spaghetti and calamari while the others in my party ordered the lobster ravioli and some other pasta dish I can't quite remember. While we were waiting for our food we were served bread, beans, and a cucumber tomato salad (all included). I found the spices on the salad to be excellent. All super delicious. Then our food arrived in a very timely manner. YUM. The calamari in my dish was cooked to perfection and blended perfectly with the sauce. Everyone else in my party was raving about how amazing their dishes were. Food is terrific, service was quick and polite, and atmosphere was nice. Definitely give this place a try!
Terrific food, great atmosphere. Kids really enjoyed the food as well (especially the family style pasta fagioli and spaghetti that comes with all the meals). We all left stuffed and with enough leftovers to have for lunch the next day.
You will never leave hear hungry. Great staff and food. Been going here for 10 years and each time we are down in Myrtle Beach we have to go here. Food is great. Our family loves the lobster raviolis, linguini and clams, and the veal piccata.

Great sub shop, everyone was super friendly. The bread was fresh and warm, lots of meat and fixings on the sandwich. Don't be afraid to order it "Fully Involved", the flavor of the deli mustard is amazing! They didn't overlook any details in the decor. Great place!
I love these guys!!!!....and the customer service is A1....whoever trained these guys have done a great job!!!!....their subs are great....the pork and slaw is one of my favorites.... But oh my god that brisket.....speechless!!!!!.... It doesn't matter how bad my day is going, I could go in there for lunch and they would change my whole entire mood....they treat me like family....but not just me, all of their customers.... These guys deserve raises.... Every last one of them....
The food was very good here and the place was clean, but the reason I'm rating it so low was because of the service, the women at the cash register was very rude and impatient.

21 Main At North Beach

719 N Beach Blvd
North Myrtle Beach, 29582
Reviews:
In the muddle of seafood and barbecue restaurants in NMB, it's a nice change of pace to get a good steakhouse in the mix. That was exactly our mindset when we chose 21 Main and we have not one regret. From start to finish, the experience was superb. We were greeted by several smiling faces as we walked in the door and were promptly seated. The decor was very elegant - with a view of the sushi bar as soon as you walk in and just behind that was a glass enclosure engraved with the name of the restaurant and a waterfall within the enclosure. The restaurant was fairly busy with a wide range of tables - filled with couples and big families. Our waiter, Chuck greeted and introduced us to the restaurant as we were new diners at 21 Main. He went over the extensive wine selection (as any good steakhouse should have), recommended courses and the specials of the day. For appetizers, we ordered the award winning lobster bisque and some sushi rolls. Both were delicious - the lobster bisque was filled with chunks of lobster meat and the bisque itself was creamy and flavorful. The sushi was fresh and well presented. We chose to go with a petite sirah to go with our entrees - a 12 oz filet mignon and a 20 oz delmonico steak with sides of creamed spinach, whipped potatoes and collard greens. The pairing was perfect as the meats were cooked to specification and were juicy and flavorful. The sides were all very good and definitely a great portion, shareable for two people. Though it was busy and Chuck, our waiter had several tables, he still made sure that he made his way to all of his tables, spending significant time with everyone and engaged in personal conversation. The assistant manager came over during the meal to ensure that our experience was up to par, and we let her know that both Chuck, our waiter and Sean, the serving assistant were doing a wonderful job. After the filling meal - Chuck highly recommended the chocolate tort and although we were absolutely stuffed, we got it any way, and glad that we did. The tort was rich and delicious and capped off the meal perfectly. The dining experience was absolutely excellent and will be back again for sure the next time we are in town.
Absolute delight!!!! Service and steak were amazing!!! 5 stars all the way. We ll definitely be back. Raw oyster were so good as well as tataki appetizer. They have a great selection of steak. We ordered New York strip and it was Cooked to perfection. Nice wine selections and drinks. Highly recommended!
My husband and I both had steaks, each of which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our server, Karen, and the other folks assisting, took great care of us. Having Celiac and needing to eat gluten free can often be a challenge when eating out, but Karen was very knowledgeable about preparations of the dishes I inquired about and pointed me in the right direction. We definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for fine dining in the Myrtle Beach area.

Owner is smoking/cooking meats in large cooker in the parking lot! Pulled/chopped pork is delicious and sauces are Eastern NC style (mild and hot). Nice owners that are focused on customer service. I've also had their BBQ at a catered event and it was just as good.
The most amazing carolina-style BBQ!! For some reason there is a big hamburger outside this place -- for me you gotta come here for the BBQ. We had the pulled pork sandwich and ribs with the baked beans. Pork sandwich was top notch -- great bark, tender and delicious. Get it with the coleslaw and add one of the 5-6 sauce options they have, all of which are house-made. Beans were crazy good too. The main thing I have to praise about this place is the RIBS! Some of the best I've ever had. Super juicy, tender, delicious, smoky, you name it. I would drive 100 miles for those ribs alone and you bet your pork-butt I'll be back for some next time I'm in town. The place is pretty small so I can see how it might get busy sometimes. Service was super friendly. Even chatted with the owner for a minute -- he has a killer classic car collection that you might see parked out front if you're lucky. Don't miss the Ribs!
Awesome bar-b-q! Discovered this tiny place on our last visit to North Myrtle Beach a year ago and couldn't wait to go back this year. The pork is very tasty and has a great flavor. Several sauces to choose from, and they are very good so try them all. Lots of sides to choose from as well. Love the cold slaw, potato salad, and bar-b-q beans. A pork sandwich and choice of side is very reasonably priced at $5.95 ! On this particular visit we were doing take out for 7. $44 fed 7 of us and we even had left overs to make sandwiches the following day. We all raved about how tasty everything was. The place is not that big and there are only a few tables so we prefer to do takeout. Service is quick. Brittany waited on us this year and last. She is super helpful and very good at making sure everyone is taken care of. If you are a fan of good bar-b-q as I am, make sure to check this place out!
