Y'all. This place. I've driven past it for years, and after today I hate myself for not stopping before. Came for a late breakfast/brunch around 10:30 on a Saturday. Unlike some of the places closer to the beach ( Eggs Up and Garden City Pancake) there was no wait. Perfect for me, as I'm not to fond of places with crowds pouring out of them. I had 3 pancakes and bacon. They were the fluffiest pancakes I've ever had. Delicious. They offer blueberry, banana nut, and chocolate as well as the plain. Bacon was done perfectly. My dining companion had "The Starving Artist", it comes with several options and he chose: eggs, grits, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. It was all excellent. I LOVE that it is truly a local small business. The waitress was by herself, but was super friendly and helpful. They weren't busy so she was doing a great job by herself. Who ever owns the place must be an artist. There are paintings all over the walls for sale, and all of the tables are hand painted. I can't wait to go back for breakfast or to try what they offer for lunch!

Oh my gosh this place serves a dynamite breakfast!!! My husband said it was the best breakfast ever!! I enjoyed a veggie omelette that was fresh & delicious. I split a waffle with my man, my kids had pancakes, eggs, bacon, grits. All of it was 5 star food. The service was as impressive as the food. The whole experience was lovely! This is a must!!!!

Stopped I on our way to Charleston and found this gem. Amazing service from our waiter Joe who was so helpful with the food and also giving recommendations for our road trip. The California wrap for breakfast was amazing!!!!!! Very quite and beautiful settings for a quick stop to eat. IF YOU WANT A GREAT MEAL YOU NEED TO STOP HERE.

Charming ambience and good value. I loved that I could get breakfast or lunch items at 1PM. One of the few local places open on Sunday mornings. They were a little short on staff when I went in, so service was slow. Otherwise, the experience was very good. Big portions, yummy food!

This place is definiately not toursity, and seemed to be visited really by locals. We were here on a Sunday morning and it was not very crowded at all. The servers were on top of their tables with drinks, coffee, and ordering. We had an omlet, pancakes, belgium waffel, and 2 orders of the special eggs benedict. I made a mistake and forgot to order egg whites for my omlet. I got up after about 5mins realizing this. They quickly accomodated my request and told it was no problem! Everything came out as expected and we really liked relaxing and enjoying our meal without feeling rushed. We wished they were opened on Monday too so we could have gone before our flight home!

We were looking for a late breakfast while camping and were directed here based on the reviews on YELP. Well we were not disappointed, this cafe is kind of hidden however if you know where to look for it it is not hard to find. The cafe also is an art gallery with pieces for sale, very quaint and comfortable. The food was well prepared and had a sizeable menu to include vegan offering if you need that. The missus had a hot chocolate that was so good she was ready to order a second one. I chose the Farm Breakfast and was not disappointed one bit, the missus had the French toast with a side. I really think what really stood out other than the food was Joe the waiter, what a great guy, he made you feel like he got up every morning to wait tables and ensure you received the best service possible. I highly recommend if you are in the area stop in.

Delicious food and friendly staff! You MUST try the California wrap. Vegetarian and vegan options are available upon request too! There's a reason this café has SO many loyal regulars. :)

Stopped in by chance and found this jewel of a restaurant for breakfast. Was really impressed with the hand painted table tops and the clean cozy atmosphere very similar to a nice tea house. Our server Joe was very attentive to all our needs. My wife and I were anxious to see how the food would be. We were delighted to get exactly what we ordered not over cooked with large portions . Stopped by based on all the great reviews. Perhaps they were having a bad day. Service was very slow. partly due to some disorganization on the part of the staff as they were struggling to figure out who had what table and which tables had been served. The food was okay. I went based on information they had vegan options, but not really true, vegetarian would be more accurate and not very creative. The best part was the home fries which were very delicious.

This place is excellent.. i make it down to Murrells Inlet once a month from up north and this is the best place for breakfast. I love their grits and I don't reallly even eat grits. And the staff is always very nice and helpful.

We stopped in based on the previous Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. My husband had the Philly Steak and Cheese omelet. He loved it and based on my sample of his dish, I thought it was quite tasty. The portion was very generous. I had the Starving Artist breakfast which was traditional eggs, bacon, home fries type breakfast and also substantial. It was well prepared and tasty. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The resident artist displays her talent which gives the restaurant a homey feeling. We'll definitely return.

Great little find. Unique decor and friendly atmosphere. My omelet was excellent and hubby had the Meatloaf melt which he enjoyed. We will be back.

Love this place. Cozy. Surrounded by art. Friendliest waiter. The food was unique and Servings were large. I had the California wrap with avocado, spinach, feta and tomato. I skipped the onions. It was very good. Grits were creamy. My husband had chocolate pancakes, as usual. The were fluffy and light with lots of chips. We will be stopping again on our next trip.

Farmhouse Breakfast was amazing. Nicest waiter I've ever had. Definitely coming back here every year.

On Rt. 17 between Pawley's Island and Myrtle Beach sits this fine little cafe that doubles also as a gallery for local artists. We have visited a few times, and have always been impressed with the food chef Charlie cooks up. It is fresh, made to order and full of flavor. His wife, Pat Ghannam, is an artist whose work is on display in the restaurant. She oversees the front of the restaurant with a friendly and welcoming eye. What made our lastest visit so exciting was the addition of a Dr. Esseltyn inspired pita Quesadilla, with no meat, no oil and no dairy. My wife and I each had one and it was excellent. Served between two halves of a lightly toasted whole wheat pita, it had retried beans, lettuce, and tomato. It is served with salsa and was absolutely delicious. Charlie makes great grits too, so we ordered a side of those and my daughters had pancakes, eggs and a side of Charlie's amazing home fries. The cafe serves the standard breakfast and lunch options with various meat selections, but what sets this place apart from many establishments in the area is their concern to cater to those interested in maintaining a vegetarian and vegan diet. Highly recommended for meat lovers and vegans alike.

Love, Love, Love the omelets! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the service is slow. Must keep asking for drink refills. Best breakfast in Murrells Inlet!

Chef Charlie is the best. He is a Johnson and Wales graduate bringing his art to the locals at an extremely affordable price. Breakfast is fabulous - the best omelets I have ever had and his lunches are also wonderful. They tend to get busy at lunch but very well worth the wait. If I am in a hurry at lunch, I just call ahead for a take out order, and if I have time, I will eat it there. They have a occasional "Music Night" with a variety of music by Jack B and She. The party atmosphere is wonderful and I love the dancing. FYI - it is BYOB on music nights. Reservations are needed for music nights.
