I had the steak and scallops. It was great! The chef makes the desserts in house. I tried the caramel cheesecake from the recommendation of the owner and it was great too!! The owners made us feel at home. I'm going to try the pork chop next time!! The pork chops are awesome too!! They have a sunday brunch now. 11-2 all the food on the buffet was great. I had my fill and my money's worth from the shrimp and grits off of the bar

Surprised by our first visit! Service attentive, food fresh, flavorful and with delicious flavors. A best kept secret. Looking forward to trying the Sunday brunch 11-2 $10.95.

Nice place. First, the beer selection is real good, so that is a very big plus. You can choose from an ale or a lager, and other choices. Though don't ask the waitresses, go to the bar for knowledge on the beer. The staff is friendly and provides timely good service. I had the fish and chips, which was Mahi Mahi fish. Pretty tasty. The prices are not terrible. Good restaurant.

We came here for brunch. There were no pancakes or French toast which is what I had a craving for, but we wanted to try something new. The food was very bland; almost everything needed salt.

Excellent first meal there tonight. The bread and particularly the butter were outstanding. House side salad comes with steak, it was quite good, dressing was home made. Wine was good. Garlic mashed potatoes were excellent. Special prime rib was good, but less flavorful than I had hoped, tender but not exceptional. Atmosphere was nice, white tablecloths. Dessert a sort of chocolate cake was unique and tasteful. Met the owner, he is nice and a graduate of a famous chef's school. Attentive waitress took care of everything promptly. Attention to detail and clean restrooms make this a come-back type of place.

As previously noted, service was good. Husband and I sampled the fried grouper bites, Caesar salad, and one of the evenings specials, beef medallions with lump crab and a lobster sauce. Although I normally like my steaks med rare, with such a tender cut, I went with medium. It was wonderful! Great wood fire flavor, tender, juicy, truly a delicious steak. And the crab and lobster sauce topping? Very generous and equally tasty. Grouper bites arrived hot and crispy and not overly breaded with a flavorful remoulade sauce on the side. Caesar salad had good flavor but was dressed a it too heavily for my taste. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening! We will definitely go back and recommend it to others as well. Very convenient to have a nice restaurant on the west side of Lexington!

Service was good, the steak was burned ( I ordered it rare) literally had black char on it, the bread was cold and stale and the salad was from a bag. Had to take out a small loan to pay the bill. Certainly won't be back

Overpriced and rancid food. My grandson was served very bad chicken (two of us tasted it) but the owner said it was fine and would not take it back until we ordered something else. Server was very nice. Other food was OK but not for the price. Owner was not cooperative on any need we had. I usually never complain but just don't go back if the food isn't great but YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THE FOOD WON'T MAKE YOU SICK IF YOU GO HERE.

I liked the name and it was quiet inside and we were quickly seated. So far so good. Hostess very friendly. The child's menu is terrible and the extra charge of four dollars to split an adult entre for my two children seemed excessive considering the adult entre was $26 and the kids meals were $5 each, so it's a net loss of revenue. Nevertheless, rules are rules. We accepted their inflexibility and moved on. Ordering my son a less expensive offering off the adult list and my daughter something off the kids menu. Unfortunately, my sons chicken was rancid. When we told the server she asked what we wanted in exchange. With my three year old already fidgety we couldn't wait for another meal so we just asked that it be removed. Moments later she returned informing us that the owner refused. The chicken wasnt just not to our liking, it was RANCID. This was a health issue. We were shocked at this. I think even McDonald's wouldn't try to charge you for uneaten food you sent back due to being spoiled. I have been to restaurants before where I'd asked for added this or that and upon informing the server my request has been forgotten they'd been appologetic and the chef comes out and apologizes and they give you the meal at no cost. I have never had a server bring food back to my table with a message from the owner that the chef tasted and said it was just basil (as if we were unfamiliar with the sweet loveliness of basil) to offer my son the rancid chicken once again. I felt sorry for the server really. It must be horrible to be put in such a situation. I hope she finds a better job when this place goes belly up.
