Amazing food served in WW2 Post Dresden bombing decor venue. (With spotless bathrooms!) Our 3rd visit here sampling brew and food that is exceptional for the area. Actually as good as anything in Charleston, Charlotte, or Atlanta . Local brews are great, no Bud to be found here. Cuban Dissident sandwich (fresh roasted smoked pork and Gruyere on HOME MADE focaccia bread!) is spectacular. So I is everything else on the blackboard menu. 3 inch high brisket sandwich is killer also. All bread baked in-house! Intermittent local live music on week nights mingled with eclectic DJs. Very friendly staff. This place is now a regular stop.

Great selection of beer and seriously awesome food. A bit on the pricey side with regards to both the beer and the food, but nothing that's too atypical to the sort of place it is, and the food is seriously worth it. Sometimes the service is a bit slow without a clear reason why, but the workers are friendly, and always willing to offer suggestions and answer questions.

Amazing gem of a restaurant/pub. The beer menu is perfect for those craft beer snobs, with a solid variety of craft brews on tap and many others by bottle. The atmosphere is very cool. There was a guy spinning vinyl classics the last time I went. They had board games available and I don't recall any TVs. The service was super too. Fast and very friendly. But the best part was the food. If you're a foodie, you'll love this place. The menu included all fresh homemade specialties, many of which seem to have been prepared in a smoker. I had a duck confit over toast topped with an egg and served in a thyme cream sauce. Superb!

We have wanted to try this place and glad we did. Not only do they serve great brews, but an eclectic menu that even my kids loved. Breakfast foods, sandwiches and meat, cheese plates. Diverse selection to try and we will be back!

Just what we needed but never thought we would ever get in Lexington. A very chill place where a guy in a suit is drinking next to an aarp member while some hipster is playing checkers at his table. But why does this happen? Because the dude in the kitchen rocks. Best food in town by a mile! Oh and a very interesting and rotating list of brews on tap. Never disappointed!

I'm so glad I found this place!!! I'm new to Lexington and, coming from Tampa, I'm used to being able to get really good food whenever I want. This place helps maintain that expectation. The decor is awesome, really makes you feel like you can relax. There is nothing stuffy about this place, but the food is very refined and worth every penny. I went for the SOS plate, which is a must if it's your first time. The menu seems to change regularly, but the SOS plate is always on the menu. All of the food is made in house, even the bread, and all of the ingredients are locally sourced and farm fresh. They have a good selection of local'ish tap brews and I have yet to be disappointed. Check this place out, it's going to be a regular on my list.

My freinds in the beer business directed me this way a couple of months ago and I had a damn good time. Many of the beers on tap were really good beers from Coast or Holy City's Pecan dream which is kinda of hard to find around here. Food was top notch and the lady behind the bar was fanstastic. Just wished I lived a little closer !

Keg Cowboy is a great addition to Main Street Lexington. Good beers on tap, friendly service, and a good chef/menu/kitchen. Is this really Main Street Lexington? Yes it is! My wife had the house made mozzarella grilled cheese, add tomato, while I had the Duck Confit sandwich. We both had grits as our side (recommended by our server.) Great recommendation. They were great. Our friend had the BBQ omelette. He said it was real good. Love that they bring water to the table in old growlers. This place is great. I will become a regular quickly!

Relaxed atmosphere. The crowd seems to lean left. Like me. Great beer, fantastic food prepared by a Johnson and wales chef! I like to go several times a month, cheers!

Not only does Keg Cowboy always have an amazing, if limited, lineup of beers on tap (and a larger selection of bottler beers), they now have the kitchen open. I have never used amazing to describe a sandwich before last night, but I had a truly amazing sandwich. The breads are all made right there in-house; the mozzarella was made there in-house; the picked were made, you guessed it, there in-house; and the produce was local. The menu is small, but so is the kitchen, and they value quality over quantity, which is the way all restaurants should be. That being said, we easily could have split a sandwich and been satisfied, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. As a lacto-ovo vegetarian, I had two sandwiches to choose from, and there was a tomato basil soup that was vegan. Other options included a chicken liver mousse, that my fella hasn't stopper talking about, duck confit, brisket, and pimento cheese. It sounds like the menu will be ever-changing based on what is fresh when, so you may want to check out their Facebook page before going.

Wowsers! This is definitely one of my favorite local restaurants in Lexington. Per their saying, there is "no crap on tap," or on their menu. Keg Cowboy keeps constantly rotating taps with local and regional craft beer, and like their beer, their menu is constantly changing as well to reflect in season dishes and special ingredients. The food is simply amazing! The chef is top notch and you will not be disappointed with anything you order. In addition, the KC emphasizes their local-ness by throwing open parties, tasting events, etc. Great beer, great food, great people, great local restaurant!

Awesome atmosphere and food! The staff was so friendly. Also loved that there was live music. We had a cheese plate with several different cheeses and house made bread. The duck panini and the SOS plate and both were delicious. I cannot say enough good things about this place :)

i really feel like I must have went to the wrong place because all of these wonderful experiences were not what I experienced. Maybe I didn't get drunk enough. Server was not attentive, it took 10-15 minutes for bread and oil to come out and when it did, it was hard as a rock. On top of that the beer tasted like ass. Our server didn't come back for 20 more minutes and at that point we were through. We went to Libby's to eat and it was great. This place....idk I won't be going back though

Very delicious. Great serving staff, welcoming and down to earth. started of with the cheese plate. Good flavors including a homemade garlic aioli and a mild mustard spread which was yummy. I had the SOS plate and was amazed at the perfect flavors. It consists of duck meat in a thyme gravy ladled over an artisan toast topped with a cooked to perfection fried egg. Husband had the Cuban sandwich which had a fantastic homemade pickle on it. The beers are an interesting selection including a spicy jalapeno one.Would go again. SOS plate is a new craving food for sure.

We had been here a few times before they had a full menu, and had our first visit for dinner a few weeks ago. Oh. My. Gosh. The food is amazing. We went with a pretty large party, so I think between the 12 of us, we tried almost everything, and nothing disappointed. I had the cuban sandwhich, which was beyond good. Homemade bread and everything. Even the side of sauteed spinach was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I'm not a huge beer drinker, so I can't comment much on the beer selection, other than the fact that our server recommended a good one to pair with my meal. I will be back for the food alone, though. Can't recommend this place enough!

Tons of local beers, great place just to hang and talk. They are renovating to put a kitchen in - all local, artisan type stuff. Can't wait!

Great craft beer selection that is constantly rotating. But the best part of this place is their food . Apparently they just recently opened the kitchen, and they have done a great job with it. The menu is small, but everything we've tried is so well prepared and delicious. This is the kind of place Lexington needs as everything else here is the same big name breweries and generic fried food. I'll be back every weekend

Now we are talking! Lexington is about to get a wake up call with all this flavor and quality food! this is the diversity and culinary experience we are missing. not to mention is locally sourcing as many ingredients possible. as a fellow restauranteur, Brian, Natalie and Jeff are all in the right place at the right time! Now, forget the gosh-darn chains and support more locally owned and operated eateries and bars!

The food is absolutely delicious! Eclectic atmosphere with a great selection of beer. The bread as an appetizer is served with oil and tastes amazing. I also enjoyed the roasted broccoli with my chicken salad sandwich. I like that they had comfortable chairs and board games available. Most importantly, the food was fantastic!!
