my previous reviews of CREEKSIDE was just "ok" for lunch. but since then I came for Breakfast. This is the best meal. Really good breakfast options, not as pricey as other meals and not as crowded as well. try them for breakfast!

Went for brunch on a Sunday and didn't have to wait to be seated, which was a plus. Ordered the pot roast and mashed potatoes, which was delicious. Boyfriend ordered biscuits and gravy and pancakes/eggs, which were decent as well. Would have given four stars if the food temperature had been a little higher. Overall, a good experience. Friendly service and very reasonable prices in a neat building (The Old Mill).

Just good clean food in the heart of Lexington. Great location at the Old Mill building! The owner is very hands on and always friendly. The staff is also always friendly. It's a big restaurant and great for a group. It has some really great old photos of old Lexington and the mill. They are speedy on the take out!

I eat here twice a week almost with my daughter on the way to school. Staff is always nice and sweet. They've already memorized our drink orders and bring them out without asking. PROTIP: get the link sausages. They are the best I've ever had.

Really good, fast breakfast food! We went for the first time this past weekend. I ordered the pancake plate which came with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs & bacon (extra crispy), I also ordered a side of cheesy grits. The pancakes were delicious! They were greatly flavored; they had a nice texture and were very fluffy. The bacon was a little salty for me, but still good. The eggs were standard and the cheese grits were good. Overall I really enjoyed my meal and would order the same thing again. My husband ordered the western omelet with a side of biscuits and gravy. He really enjoyed the omelet. He thought the biscuits and gravy were just okay, they had a little kick which he didn't appreciate (I did) and the biscuits were kind of hard. Overall we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back! Their coffee is also very good! Parking is limited and overall a hard place to find for first timers. The restaurant is huge, plenty of seating around 11am on a Saturday.

Consistently good breakfast! I haven't had the lunch yet! But the Staff is friendly, iced tea is sweet, and the bathroom is clean. Comfort food at its best y'all.

One of our favorite spots for a southern breakfast. staff is friendly, but poorly trained.

Wanted to try a new spot for a Sunday breakfast. I hadn't heard anything other than reading a few mixed reviews on Yelp. It's located in the Old Mill in Lexington, which is a really neat building so I was excited to get in and give it a try. The inside feels and looks like you're eating in someones work shop or garage. It would be cool except it just doesn't go with their diner vibe. The menu itself is quite generic - nothing special here. It's almost a carbon copy of Lizard's Thicket, in my opinion. I ordered the country style steak and eggs breakfast. The food came out fast (service all around was very good), but again, nothing special at all. The eggs and grits were just, well, eggs and grits. The country style steak (also referred to as chicken fried steak by many southerners) was average. The meat itself was very overcooked and dried out, which made it pretty tough to chew. I ended up leaving half on the plate, which is rare for me. One thing that really "bugged" me was that there were a lot of gnats flying around my face the whole time (pun intended). It was actually quite annoying. If you're looking for a generic southern breakfast, skip this place and head to your local Lizard's Thicket. They're doing the same thing, just better.

Pretty generic breakfast food. A lot of room to make some small changes that would really enhace the food and the experience, like, for instance, using fresher, better ingredients...packaged sliced cheese is pretty lame guys. The obvious regulars seemed to get great service, but us? Not so much.

Standard breakfast fare. They serve lunch, too, but I have had an opportunity to try it. Definitely on the list to frequent but only because it's breakfast. Prices are good and service is acceptable.

Nothing wrong here because everything is just right. The food portions, the price, and the service all make this a nice stop for breakfast or lunch. Stop on by. You won't be disappointed, and it is in the charming Old Mill of Lexington, so the atmosphere is very nice.

For breakfast- this place has your typical southern style breakfast fare. My husband likes the strawberry pancakes. Most of the breakfast food I've had is decent, although I'm not a fan of their potatoes. For lunch- unless you opt a daily special, the food is not worth going out of the way for. I have been served spoiled Mac and cheese twice.

There's nothing trendy or really unique about their food or offerings, but the food is good, amazing Southern hospitality, and the service is fast and efficient.

We go here for breakfast all the time. Food is very yummy and fresh. The prices are very reasonable. I love supporting local businesses. I wish they offered fresh fruit and I know it's the old mill feel they are going for but I feel it could be a little nicer in the inside.

We tried Creekside on a Saturday morning. We've been looking for a new weekend breakfast place and had heard mixed reviews. The food was good--and fast--but the service wasn't anything like the southern hospitality mentioned in earlier reviews. We were never greeted--not by the hostess, the server, or the cashier. It took almost five minutes for them to notice that we were waiting by the hostess stand before they wrote us down as waiting. We waited nearly ten minutes to be seated and they had at least five clean tables the entire time. Our server took our orders, asked if we wanted refills one time, and then brought us our check. No one asked if the food was right or if we needed anything. We actually wanted to order something else, but she was in such a rush to get rid of us that she didn't bother to ask. I don't think we saw any of the staff smile the entire time we were there. I felt a lot like a burden to them instead of a customer. They weren't very busy at all but they seemed to be overwhelmed. We will probably keep looking for our new weekend breakfast spot.

This is a great place at the Old Mill in downtown Lexington. They're only open for breakfast and lunch, and it's a traditional "greasy spoon" menu. Service is good, so is the food and the prices are fair. I am a fan of the catfish bfast. I've only had bfast here, don't know about the lunch fare, but saw s few plates go out and it looked good.

I want to like this place because it's a cool location and close to home, but I found my pancakes flavorless and unimpressive, bacon was good but home fries were not. Won't return.

We have mainy done breakfast here. The food is generally great. Thier omelets are the best! The wait staff has consistently been mediocre. Like not paying attention to drinks, slow to respond to requests for essentials like napkins and silverware. That part is tolerable because the breakfast food is so good. I do wish they would upgrade thier coffee.

Nothing over the top food wise that you could not get at your usual Mom and Pops Breakfast / Lunch place. For as much space that Creekside has, I am surprised that they have not tried to make the most of what they have. They do have pics of some of the sights of Lexington hanging up in the restaurant. Service was quick (for a 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon). I have driven by Creekside many of a times late Sunday mornings / early Sunday afternoons and see that it tends to look like lots of folks go here after church, but as some of the other yelpers mentioned, service is usually quick. On a side note, probably better to enter the restaurant from the outside (door is facing US 1) Rather than the entrance inside near Rainy Day Pal Bookstore and the Watershed, as the hostess station is by the door facing 1. If you use inside entrance, you more than likely would have to walk to front of store to be seated as it is. The only complaint I had food wise was the fries I got with my meal. They seemed to be salted more than I cared for.

Very rude, immature servers, standing around gossiping. Okay food. Rather go down the road and go to lizards thicket for breakfast any day.
