Inn at the Crossroads

Lake City, 29560
Reviews:
Only reviewing the bar and commons areas, not the accommodations. Bar was nice and had a descent selection of beer, wine, and liquor (descent, not great...). Menu was adequate; most people should find something to their taste. All food that was ordered was good. A healthier appetizer would be nice to see on the menu. Staff was friendly and facilities were nice (newly built).

I love the Roma for old fashion Greek food. They make the best subs and pizza. I recommend the pepper steak sub if you like onions and bell peppers. It is delicious!

One of our favorite restaurants to stop at on our way to the beach! Great food, good people, and a wonderful atmosphere!
Great food, nice staff. Best place Lake City has to offer. Good selection at the bar, with great happy hour specials.

Lake City Shrimper

340 W Main St
Lake City, 29560
Reviews:
A lovely place to eat! Family atmosphere with interesting paper place mats on the table to enjoy while your food is being prepared. If you're feeling rich and order the fried oysters, don't be shocked if you see a few green spots on them. That is normal and shouldn't offend the appetite of any loyal oyster eater. Great food with very consistent flavor. Consistency is my number one hobgoblin when dining out. I've eaten at Shrimpers all over the state of SC, and the flavor is always the same. I don't know if the Shrimper is a franchise or what not, but it has never let me or my family down in great flavor and portions. Kudos to The Shrimper! Keep up the good work!
If you're ever in Lake City, you MUST go to the shrimper. It is SOOOo good! It's pretty much a heart attack waiting to happen, I know. But who cares? The food is too great to pass up!
A great place to eat. One of the best places to eat in Lake City. It's been consistent for years. It always reminds me of my childhood eating here. So many times has our family gathered around the tables here that it's nice to revisit and see some things are as good as you remember.

Food is good, but you must be willing to wait 45 minutes for the food to arrive after ordering. Service was fair at best.
The menu is simple but has everything you would be looking for. Steaks are excellent, the burgers are great!!! The only downside is the service can be slow at times. Open Thursday to Saturday.
VERY disappointed!! Had a gift certificate that Barnhouse WOULD NOT HONOR cause it had been issued by "previous owner". I didn't know the previous nor the present owner. My gift certificate was issued by "Barnhouse" and thus should have been honored. Food was good BUT I WON'T be a repeat nor could I recommend based on their POOR customer service.

Table 118

118 E Main St
Lake City, 29560
Reviews:
The food here has gotten better since last year, the first time I ate here I felt like I had been robbed. The food was ok but nothing special. how every the last two times the new menu items have really seemed like high end southern vittles. Last time I was there had the Duck leg for about $12 and it was on par with any I have had anywhere. The text of a good meal is would you go back. I would go to 118 every other day it time could permit and I don't think I would be hurt by the food.
Nuh-uh! I don't think we are coming here again! We came here for my birthday dinner. The fried oyster appetizer and the shrimp fritter pancake appetizer was good. For the entree we got the filet. It was mushy and yucky! I hope my doggie likes it cause it's all in the to-go box!
Overrated My wife and I went to Table 118 this weekend for the first time. We ordered the short ribs appetizer, and it while it was tasty, the dish was warm and not hot. In addition, the short ribs were placed on top of biscuits that were very hard...they were either over cooked or were stale. For our entrees, my wife had the crab cakes, and I had the special, which was duck confit. My wife said that her crab cakes were OK but not a great tasting crab cake as she stated she had better. In addition, her portion size of the crab cakes were small...each of the three crab cakes on her plate were the approximate size of a mini-cupcake. Combined, the three crab cakes would probably be the size of one normal sized crab cake. My duck confit was not good...it was extremely dry. It looked and tasted as though it had been pre-made from the day before and then reheated. I mentioned this to the host, and he claimed that the duck confit was freshly made. In my personal opinion, it was not freshly made. I ate it though, but was not pleased at the quality of our meals as we drove from Florence to try this restaurant and was expecting much better than what we received. However, I think he took half off the price as I noticed the reduced charge on my bill, which was nice of him to do so. Also, there were no tablecloths on any of the tables as it shows on one of the Yelp review pictures. This could have been a much better experience if they focused on the small things that diners would expect of this restaurant as they are touting this as an upscale alternative restaurant in the area. My wife and I are undecided if we would try Table 118, again, but if we do, we now know better to ask questions about the entrees before we order.

Golden Chick

Reviews:
Very lackluster first experience with the franchise. Fries were soggy, chicken tenders were done but not even cooked to golden, spicy tenders means nothing but regular tenders with pepper on them, and a choice of sauce would be a lot nicer than putting gravy in every box. The best part of the meal was the roll. They have just opened so I may give them another shot and try the roasted chicken or something else... If subsequent experiences are better I may update this review, otherwise it stands...
Terrible service,I went through the drive through ordered my meal. I had to park and Wait 15 minutes to get my meal .......went home opened the box was missing a roll and a side of fries and didn't season my strips or give me the condiments I asked for so I emailed the manager and the manager said they would "make it right" but failed to do so.So if your in the mood for chicken and don't want slack service go Bojangles.
