Good food, terrible service. I had the chicken souvlaki with Greek potatoes, and it was all very tasty. The server didn't seem to care enough to be pleasant, especially when we pointed out that the tea was very weak, and she didn't care to try to fix it or replace it. NOTE: the tea is like lightly flavored water, not good Southern iced tea! Checkout was slow, with no line, and we were informed that they know they make weak tea as others have complained about it. Why they wouldn't think to make the tea better is beyond me.

Excellent food, great service! I ordered the Lamb Gyro, it was tasty. Large portions on the sides. The pasta in my sister's lasagna was very fluffy and some of the best I've ever tried. Also, the wings were top notch. Definitely the best wings in town. Fair drink prices. I can't wait to try the Pizza!

Food is great. Love everything on the menu. The owner is very kind and asked us if everything was good and we said great. My family and I eat here a lot now because of the food and atmosphere.

This place is average. Don't bother with the Greek food. Both items I ordered from that section were smothered in cream sauce and it wasn't even taziki which threw me off. The wings are nice and big but kinda soggy and when I order teriyaki hot, I expect it to be somewhat hot and it wasn't at all. The garlic parmesean was literally naked wings with jarred minced garlic and parmesean cheese on them, yuck. Pizza is good though and my boyfriend liked his sandwich. I've also heard good things about the salads.

I love the subs especially the steak and pepper. I have not ordered anything else from them so far but the steak and pepper sub and some hot wings, but look forward to ordering something new next time I go.

Food was excellent! The portions are large so make sure you're hungry. My Greek salad could have easily fed two people and my husbands Stromboli could have fed two to three. The service was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely eat here again.

Love this place. The chef salads are the best in town. My son loves the pizza. Have been there a few times, and the staff has always been so nice and helpful. I recommend Sophia's to everyone.

We have family in Hartsville and recently visited Sophia's Pizzeria for a quick dinner before returning home to Charleston. We eat a lot of pizza and can be pretty picky about it (and every food) because Charleston is a foodie city, but we really enjoyed Sophia's. Hartsville doesn't have many options, but Sophia's was a great one! My husband and I shared the veggie pizza. We got a large pizza and it came with a cheesy bread appetizer since we bought a large. Not sure if that was the special that day or what, but you can't beat getting a free app. The pizza was VERY large- two slices easily filled me up and we took half of the large pizza home. It had a lot of vegetables and cheese on it and the ends of the crust were pretty good (I don't usually eat the ends). My only complaint with it was that it could have been a little crispier in the middle, but other than that, I loved it. I also sampled some of the Greek potatoes, which come in a broth. I've never seen them prepared this way, but they were good. My mother-in-law had the salad bar and it looked pretty good too with lots of dressing and meat options. The salad bar could've used a few more greens options, which is why I didn't add it to our pizza meal. Sophia's had great prices, especially for lunch. You can easily eat for $7-8 and the meal includes a trip to the salad bar with that. Even if you don't want pizza, the menu includes Greek specialties, pastas, salads, and sandwiches, so don't pass it up. Everything was reasonably priced with great portions and we'd definitely return the next time we're in Hartsville.

This was our 3rd time at Sophia's, and each time, we ordered something different. And each time was a winner! This visit, it was our privilege to try their Vegetarian Calzone. We ordered a Large, and Large it was! It not only was full of veggies that you could actually taste, but the crust was warm and soft. I'm very glad that we are not gluten sensitive and were free to overly indulge in the total meal. Better yet, it was large enough for us to bring some home in a to-go box. I have to emphasize that the Calzone was indeed half-moon shaped. Some places do not seem to care about the shape and simply give you whatever is easiest for them. By the way, the Stromboli that we had during a prior visit was more rectangular-----so, a patron can easily tell the difference. Kudos to the preparer! Like our prior visits, the server (Ryanne) was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and like our previous servers, a good reason to return-----which we obviously will!

This is one of my favorite places to eat! I eat there all the time and everything I have ever ordered has been fantastic! Their pizzas are my favorite! No matter what kind of pizza you get it's going to be just about the best pizza you have ever ever eaten. The whole wait staff is really nice. The owner also has a wonderful personality and seems to care for his customers experience deeply! I highly recommend everyone to try Sophia's!

I've been to this place twice now; both times for being in town for business. The first time I got the special steak and cheese lunch special and today I got the Italian sub lunch special. It's off the hook. All of my coworkers got an assortment of meals and they loved them all. They also have a bee-bop of a salad bar but it comes with the ~$6 lunch special that also includes a side. Bottom line- go to this place. The Italian sub is featured in the pic.

I really wanted to like this place. This was my first time going, and more than likely my last. We walked in, and because there was no sign stating to seat yourself we waited for a hostess to seat us. We stood there for 4-5 minutes, with waitresses passing almost non stop before one finally said, "sit anywhere you would like." Since the was only one clean table we didn't have much choice. The tables are too close together. People where constantly bumping into my chair or had their ass in my personal space, which sucks, especially when your trying to eat. And forget about trying to have a conversation to yourself... The wait staff... After we sat down, it took about 7-8 minutes for a waitress to come and take our drink order and bring menus. It took another 7-8 minutes for her to bring two waters back and take our appetizer order. We got the potato skins. Those took about 10 minutes to come out, and they were way over cooked. We ordered the chicken alfredo pizza, and other than it being slightly salty, was really great. So much so that it may be the only redeeming quality for Sophia's. Our waitress refilled my water once, and overfilled it, spilling some on the floor. Of course when I tried to take a sip, it spilled some more. Ugh. It took forever for anything. A take home box, the check, anything. Went to pay for it and two waitresses we standing there talking about their personal business, and I had to wait on them to finish before they acknowledged me. In short, a lot of the problems were caused by the wait staffs' unprofessionalism. They seem to have never been to a restaurant nicer than McDonalds. It took about an hour and a half for a meal that should've been 45 minutes.

I mostly get takeout pizza, Greek salad, or stromboli from Sophia's. The quality and consistency has gradually improved since opening a few months ago. Big portions, tasty food, and friendly staff make this one of my new favorites here in Hartsville. My one dine in experience was good, service was prompt and competent (for Hartsville). I don't expect stellar service at any restaurant here, because the fine dining culture just doesn't exist. And that's ok. My only beef is that the dining room was very hot.

By far the best pizza in Hartsville. Sandwiches are pretty awesome too. We've only had take out and haven't had the opportunity to eat in the restaurant yet, but no complaints.

Don't always think to come here but I'm always pleased when I do. Portions are more than enough. Prices are low by any standard. Especially for desserts. Which they have a nice selection of. Ie; cheesecake $2.75, baklava $3. And even though I seldom get any alcohol I still notice the selection. They carry Sam Adams, Heineken, shock top, along with the normal domestics and moscato wine! My son had the pizza which he loved! Loaded with cheese and plenty of pepperoni on a thin crispy crust. I had meatless spaghetti. Boring I know. But I love it. Tastes like fresh sauce. Finely puréed. Topped with cheese and baked.
