A few positives: One of the best waiters (I believe his name is Pryce) we have had in a long time. Knew both the beer menu and the food menu very well, was able to recommend things on both. Great personality, made us laugh and really enjoy our visit. Beer was great.....no complaints. Food wise, mine was nothing I would go back for. I ordered two tacos, one which was suppose to have pork in it and half way through realized I hadn't tasted any! (There was a little on half of it....but pretty skimpy) It came with rice which was stuck together in the form of what ever dish it was warmed up in, and beans which were ok but not good enough to eat the whole dish. Mine was a bit of a bust. My brothers ordered the Jambalaya which had a ton of seasoning, which I watched his attempt to scrape off. My husband had the fish and chips which were really good! (I'd probably get that if we were by chance to go back) I think the service we got was worth going back for (as long as we get the same guy....seriously he impressed us all) and the beer....but, how can you mess that up :)

When entering this restaurant don't let the standoffish gathering of hostesses, (six or more), make you leave. The wait staff is excellent! ALL wait staff are wonderful! The food was innovative and prepared perfectly. Hats off to the Chef(s). The menu was physically over-sized, it made it uncomfortable to turn, flip, etc. Great architecture, needs a little more chrome in the exterior walls to tie in the cool beer bar. Wine is overpriced, beer was nice though- unbelievable selection!

Great place to take your friends; especially those who lean more towards beer than wine/cocktails. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, always clean, very modern. It's truly a one of a kind concept. I've been there with my wife multiple times but we've only ordered off the late night happy hour menu but that is really good and never disappoints either (Sunday-Wednesday). Try a Thomas Creek Up the Creek on draft!

Ok we had fun , sat outside and had fun BUT A runner spilled a portion of A dipping sauce ...but they amended with. "Free app" but we almost had a major mess So now to the food Appetizer : calimari was good and is pretty reliable Entrees Gardein chicken sandwich is yummy and you would swear its chicken! Cuban sandwich__ with the dipping sauce issues ---was liked as well Soft tacos 1: baha fish and 2: veggie taco were probably the best Finally : last meal was blackened mahi mahi ,veggies and sweet potato fries. Was listed at "MP" Market price --- which was ....drum roll. ....$29 !!! To me for that fish ...is CRAZY AND IT was my fault for not asking ! Ill be back but be more conscientious

Food is descent but definitely over priced for quality and portions. The saving grace is the atmosphere and the beer selection. I come back at happy hour only because the beer is actually reasonable during happy hour.

Been here twice and I averaged my two experiences. The tap selection is plentiful and the service is usually fast. The food is good and fresh except for the chicken sandwich. This thing was horrible!!!! The chicken seemed to be refrozen dethawed and then cooked till it was super rubber consistency. It was not pleasing. I have had and enjoyed thoroughly the CHICKEN NACHOS, PEPPER JACK burger. The garlic aioli is where it is at!!! We will be back but I will not order the chicken sandwich!!!

Foods were overrated & overpriced, lacking a lot in flavors. Presentation looks beautiful but as for taste, sadly, too bland and tasteless to even bother to come back. Waited over 1.5 hrs for a table of 8 so I was expecting it to live up to it's hype since it was a busy Friday night! Ordered Moscow Mules, Tuna Poke, Shrimp ceviches, and Lettuce Wrap. Shrimp Ceviches was super sour and has absolutely no flavor. It seems like they used 2 shrimps and minced it to the point where I couldn't tell where the shrimp was. Barely any shrimp period and so bland!!! Tuna Poke also has no flavor, it needed some salt so I had to ask for more soy sauce to make it better. I personally think the Lettuce wrap at PF Changs was 100x better. Was super disappointed. However the environment was nice and spacious. Our server did an awesome job being attentive to our big party. As for the foods, pricey and definitely not worth the money. Rather save that money to somewhere else worthwhile!

Holy Hannah! Im so glad we went here instead of Cheddars! For a thursday night at 6pm they were hopping! We had to wait about 15-25 min for a table but it was well worth it! My fiancé is a beer geek and was obsessed with the 130 taps they have!! Not to mention you can get half yard as well!! He got a milk stout and I got a Bikini Tini which was made to perfection. By the time we ordered drinks, got them and cashed out our table was ready so it was perfect timing! Our server greeted us promptly and was nice. We decide to start with the truffle fries. They were delish! They forgot to bring out our aoli and when they did it was ok. It tasted like a glorified ranch. Now for dinner I got the Bah Mi. Now that was YUMMY!! It was busting at the seams with pork but the pork was cooked perfectly. The broccoli slaw was ok but it was a good "palate" cleanser with the sandwich to balance out the spice from the jalapeños. I will def. be bringing family and friends back here for sure!

LOVE IT. While visiting Greenville a few weeks ago, a friend who lives in Greenville recommended the Yard House as a place for us to try. We went there for lunch and we LOVED it. Love the Cherry Limeade. Guacamole & Chips will fill you up. The clam chowder was delicious and full of clams. The Penne with chicken was excellent and a nice sized portion. We will be back on our next visit to Greenville!

I ordered a summer starter salad which was about 3 tablespoons in size. I questioned the size. The manager explained since it was starter it was smaller. I questioned it being $8.95. It also had oranges on it which I asked to be deleted. He had the salad remade into a normal size. He was very courteous and accommodating. He comped the meal so all was well. I will go back again because of him.

Came here to the Yard with some work colleagues for dinner one fine evening. I was interested to see the vibe of this place as I've been a fan of Carolina Ale House down the street and the downtown location on Main. The feeling inside is clean somewhat darkly lit and modern. You can tell that this is a serious beer house with all the taps on the wall. Now onto the food. The menu was very diverse with lots of options and choices. I decided to go with a lighter dinner: a plate of the Asian firecracker wings with three different tacos (chicken tinga, Baja fish and Korean short rib) . To wash it down was the house IPA. It was light and citrus flavoured but tasty none the less! The chicken wings were awesome. Sweet, salty and a bit of spicy. A tasty medoly of flavours. The three tacos all of different flavours were very good. My favourite was the Korean beef. Tacos were served with a Spanish/Mexican style rice and a small bowl of beans. Our server was courteous polite and no issues whatsoever. Really a pleasant experience all together. Definitely we will be back!

The kale ceasar salad was a big miss. The predominant flavor was dijon mustard and there was no doubt anchovies were present...not balanced. The amount of kale was minimal...so I don't know if I'd advertise it as a kale salad. The raisins did not compliment the sharp dijon flavor. Protein options were offered and I chose ahi tuna...the spice rub was...I think cumin-ish..anyway it was not a good compliment to the flavors I have described already. I absolutely should have returned it but we were in such a hurry .... My son asked if the chicken tortilla was spicy .... The waiter replied "just a little". The soup was delicious! But it was definitely leaning toward medium spice level. I finished his soup since I could not eat my Dijon salad. Service was fantastic....and so was the atmosphere.

Burgers were ok but not worth the $10+ price tag. The s'mores brownie dessert was very good. Server was exceptional. Atmosphere had a great vibe to it!

Service: first time at the YH my server would come and go, had to wave him down a couple times to get my oder placed. And to have a make server with what seemed like 1 1/2" finger nails was disgusting to look at when handing my food to me. Beer: had the IPA flight, not gonna lie out of the six that I picked only two where truly IPA's,the rest the breweries that made em IPA's need to go back to the drawing board. Food: There was nothing really special about their menu..every thing looked the same as in other restaurants. Nothing really stood out. I had a tuna stake and ordered it to be cooked "seared" when I got my tuna I couldn't even cut it with my knife, that's how tuff the putter portion was..over cooked and it was dry. The only thing I enjoyed was the appetizer: Tuna Roll For how new this place is and the price, I rather go find a different place to eat. Just nothing really special about this place at all..other then the fact that they have a big beer selection, but not the best beers in my opinion.

Iama Critic Rating - Yard House - 3 Stars (due to portion price) 1025 Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC Our Experience: No doubt Yard House delivers great flavor and some amazing presentations. I spent very little time preparing and cleaning up my entrees before taking our normal photos. But the prices are bit high and the portions are small compared to other restaurants with similar portion/price/flavor ratios. For example the jambalaya at Yard House is unique, fantastic and beautifully presented. The entree is cooked to perfection and has a unique flavor mix, but it is also small, and includes only two shrimp. At eighteen bucks it is also some of the most expensive jambalaya I have ever sampled, even in New Orleans! The Service - 3 Stars (15% tip) It seems to be harder and harder to find a decent waitress now days, and yet we just keep forking out tips for less and less effort. And when it comes to male waiters, it is even worse. Most men, for whatever reason, are just not as capable at being social! You may be amazed at how often we receive poor service even when we tell them upfront that we are there to review the restaurant! Our critics rate waiters two stars less on average than they rate waitresses. But more often than not we still provide tips beyond their value, out of shear guilt. Our Yard House waiter was not helpful, social or interactive. He never went beyond the norm of just filling glasses. The poor service made the higher food prices a bit harder to justify. For our waiter's lack of interest in his job, we provided an undeserved 15% $8.00 tip. We typically provide 20% or more for 5 star service on the pre-tax portion of the bill, 18% for 4, 15% for 3, 12% for 2 and 0% for 1 star service. The Food: $2.95 Soda Fountain Drink - 2 Stars We don't normally rate or even mention drinks, but Yard House charges almost three dollars for soda fountain drinks, and that is getting a bit too expensive. $9.75 Pizza Combo - 3 Stars This entree is definitely for light eaters and includes a very small personal pizza that was ordered with a side cup of clam chowder. The pizza toppings were meager, but both the chowder and the pizza were perfectly prepared. The flavors were worthy of four stars, but the price is a bit too much for something that fit so easily on a regular dinner plate. $10.95 Turkey Melt w/Fries - 3 Stars The presentation of this small sandwich and fries is really quite impressive. And the fries are the same awesome thin cut style they serve at Steak & Shake. But S&S fries are also awesomely seasoned, where these were plain. The sandwich is no more than six inches and my guest critic finished this sandwich minutes after I completed taking the photos. He is my "Burger Guy" critic, so he is not much for savoring his food bit by bit. And he rarely likes entrees that come with great flavor and matching high prices. He felt the sandwich was a bit too plain compared to what you get at great sub shops. When I asked for his rating he gave it a two, but I think he is letting his emotions and preferences for cheap food sway his ratings. Which is the very reason I always pay for my guest critics meals. $10.95 Small Shrimp Rice Bowl - 3 Stars When Yard House says "small" they mean it. This "bowl" is little more than a cup. But what little you do get is simply perfect. It was wonderfully spicy, beautiful and aromatic. But anytime I start spending this much per ounce, for such a simply dish, stars must fall. Five star flavor at a three star value. I have made this exact dish at Genghis Grill for much less. But then Genghis Grill is a dive compared to Yard House. $17.85 Jambalaya - 4 Stars Whenever I order shrimp and grits or jambalaya my guest critics always cringe. This is because they have taken trips with me to New Orleans and have experienced the best of Cajun cooking. Not to mention the fact that we have cooked hundreds of gallons of fabulous Jambalaya ourselves and have served it at events all over the upstate. But for some reason Upstate restaurants charge a fortune for shrimp and grits, and to a lesser extent for jambalaya. Yard House is no exception. Eighteen buck for a bowl of jambalaya is one of the highest prices I have ever paid anywhere in the country. But like some of the other entrees we ordered, Yard House delivers a gorgeous presentation, fantastic flavor, perfect preparation and a poor value. Despite receiving only two shrimp I would say this Jambalaya has five star flavors and a three star value. Total Bill: $65.64 for three adults including tax, an overly generous tip and just one soda fountain drinks. Final Thoughts: If price is insignificant to you or you want to treat someone to a rare, special occasion, then Yard House serves fantastically flavorful and gorgeously presented five star entrees. But if price matters to you, then you may find Yard House to be the wrong house for you, because you can easily spend twenty dollars per person as we did and still go home hungry.

I came here to take advantage of the cheap appetizers for happy hour. I highly recommend the vampire taco which has juicy meats inside a soft shell turned into a hard shell by the hardened cheese on the outside. A great presentation and combination of flavors. I was very impressed. I also had the chocolate lave cake. My girlfriend told me it was a must, but it was just good. You can tell these are pre-made and reheated. It is good with the a la mode ice cream but I've had better. It's not like teh kind where you have to order it 30 minutes in advance because they're made fresh. They have a great deal of beers on tap, and the menu does a pretty good job helping you narrow it down to what you're in the mood for. Definitely a good place to experiment with microbrews. One problem we had was they charged us half price during happy hour but as soon as the clock turned past 6pm, everything we ordered after that was regular price. Normally I would not have had a problem with this except we waited over 10 minutes for our waiter to attend to us, despite the fact he kept walking back and forth near us but never close enough to hail him. With enough complaining he adjusted the prices, but it was poor customer service all around. The food is worth 4 stars, but with the service it goes to 3.

I would describe my experience as mediocre at best. The service was below average for being not too busy on a Saturday evening. The food was just okay and definitely overpriced for the quality and quantity served. The variety of the menu is good but again something about the quality was lacking and not worth what we paid.

I love this place so much. So many trendy foods and a variety of styles destined to blow your tastebuds into another country. While I love the variety, I have my go-to Chicken Rice Bowl with Jasmine Rice. It's filled with perfectly cooked veggies and tender chicken over sweet rice. I always get the full size and have some saved for later. It heats up well - or you can devour it cold. Late Night option on the weekdays is spectacular. Seeing a show midweek downtown and being hungry after can only leave you with Waffle House as a choice, but with Yard House, you're good to go if you're hungry after 10pm. Not a beer drinker, but I can definitely appreciate the vast selection. I have dabbled in tasting a few, and our waiter was super knowledgeable on every beer. Desserts on point. Smores brownie is heavenly.

Late night happy hours (food wise) make this place totally worth it. Pizzas, wings, tacos and fries are really good. So are pastas, but they are expensive. And of course, there's this huge selection of beers - 130 taps if I'm not wrong. The fact that it is open till 1 a.m. (happy hours Sunday - Thursday 10 p.m. - close) makes it a very useful place during student life. Most importantly, unlike other sports bars, this place is surprisingly quiet and classy.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this restaurant! Sunday night it was very busy day at the bar and Sara gave us superb service! Started with buffalo wings...good flavor and not too hot and blackened swordfish tacos were absolutely delicious! The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly and accompanied with refreshing pico and guacamole and cabbage My hubby had the ahi tuna with brown rice. It too was seasoned and cooked perfectly and was a good proportion I had the lobster garlic noodles which was fabulous and made my tastebuds scream for more! It also had shrimp and crab. Finished with the trio desert of lemon cake, peach cobbler, and chocolate cake. Separately they were tasty but trying them all three was actually a downer. The difference in sweetness richness and tartness conflicted on the pallet.

Beer lovers paradise!! The food is ok. I had fish tacos and thought they were average at best. Next time I had crab cakes that were excellent. The main reason to go is the beer selection.

Lettuce wraps. What a cool thing! Surprised about how high the "point" value is according to WW. I had the blackened shrimp. The blackened might be the reason I thought they were a bit salty. BUT there were delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Service was excellent: attentive informative and efficient. I will return.

My first time at Yard House was an awesome one. Our server Jack (or John?), was amazing. His knowledge of the menu, excellent service and great personality immediately won us over. If that wasn't enough, the Cuban Roast Pork Dip I ordered was delicious!! It came with this great dipping sauce on the side and the pork was flavorful and juicy. We were convinced into ordering dessert which consisted of a sample of the dark chocolate brownie, banana creme brûlée, and peach cobbler all served with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream. If I could give this place more stars I would! Come check it out for yourself!

I hope my reply to Justin will show up, but in case it doesn't, here the quick summary: We gave this place another shot and even though there were plenty of tables available on the patio, they told us there's a two hour (!) wait. Checkout my photo that I uploaded to proof the situation... I'll happily take my money somewhere else.

  • Joe H.

I consider myself objective and patient, open minded and empathetic. I will never eat here again. The first experience killed it for me. We were told our wait would be twenty minutes, it was about ten - they got this part right. After seated, I don't know how long it took to get waited on in exact minutes but my family of four agreed it was painfully long. It took significantly longer to get our food which was just "OK". The menu described the food better than it tasted, in my opinion. My son ordered ice cream, they didn't give him a spoon, so he used his fork until we could catch the waitress which, par for course, took a long time. I'll post two pictures here, one shows how dark it is for the people eating outside. I would have opted to sit outside because it was soooo loud inside that we couldn't hear each other across the table - but I wouldn't have been able to see what I was eating because there were no lights on these people. The windows were slightly tinted, but it was after 9pm and there were no lights in this section of ourdoors. The other picture I'll post is of the plating. If you've ever worked in the food industry, you know to wipe down the plate before serving (give-a-crap restaurants, anyway). Check out the splash on this plate, which should have never left the kitchen. The vampire tacos are overrated. This is a loud, crowded sports bar and should be advertised as such. The table next to us was complaining to the manager but I'm not sure about what or what the outcome was. Raise your standards as a restaurant. Raise your standards as a customer.

Ok, you got me, it is a chain restaurant, just one I hadn't seen before. Our server Jack, who was excellent at his job, told us they are mostly in the west. I ordered the chicken penne pasta, it was very good. My husband had the turkey pot pie, it was a little bland, with too much pastry. The service was great. The restaurant was pretty noisy, music too loud and room wide open, so conversation was a challenge, but overall a very positive experience.

  • brice b.

Yawn, this place could be any restaurant with any name in any city. The menu has basically the same items as any restaurant in it's class. Nothing unique, nothing signature and the food is definitely of the "off the truck" variety. The food is good and the atmosphere is nice and modern feeling but it's NOT UNIQUE, it's generic just like to name implies. On a high note they have a fantastic beer selection and very good service.

Yard House I like it. I don't love it, but I like it. They're famous for their beer selection. They have 130 draft lines, quite a selection. I ordered a Southern Tier Nitro IPA for my first, but did not receive it. The server brought me a Founder's Nitro Pale Ale on accident, and apologized and told me she would replace it, but the Founder's was good so I just rolled with the punches. Their menu is mostly bar food, but unfortunately, it's all at specialty restaurant prices. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger, for a whopping $12.25. I ordered it medium. It came out with a toothpick that read "Medium." It was not medium. Barely a semblance of pink in the middle, it was Medium Well and pushing Well Done. It was also rather lacking bacon for a bacon cheeseburger, sporting two rather small slices. The BBQ sauce that came with it was runny and messy, but delicious. It had just enough zing. My dinner companion's burger was unfortunately even more overcooked than mine. The fries were an amazing counterpoint to the mediocre burger. Shoestring cut, golden, crispy, and a good sized portion. I shamelessly inhaled them. The ambiance was nice. Rather dark lighting, all black everything. Interesting murals decorate the walls. The centerpiece of the restaurant is their island style bar, with 130 taps decorating the stainless steel setup. Draft lines run down from the ceiling, and the cooler is visible from the floor level. Pretty cool. My second beer was a Dirt Wolf, by Victory. Grapefruit nose and opening taste, bitter finish. It's a good thing I knew the beers though, because the staff did not. She was a pretty face who didn't know a thing about beer. For a beer joint, I expected a little more knowledgeable staff honestly. My dinner companion and I ordered a chocolate soufflé and a lemon soufflé for desert, respectively. These were warm, light, and rather tasty. Good, but not knock-your-socks-off good. I was a little disappointed honestly. The beer was good, but everything was too overpriced to truly enjoy it. I don't mind shelling out money for a good meal, but when I do, I expect it to be as good as the price suggests. I may be back, though not with frequency, and not soon.

Mark, our server was great. He brought us drinks before being asked, cleared dishes immediately, brought us the check the second we were ready to leave. We loved coming in and being sat right away, getting our food quickly, and having the surprise of all of our food tasting amazing. To make the experience even better, the place was completely clean- including the bathrooms. Great place to keep in mind for bringing friends!

Love the atmosphere. Menu is great and offers a lot to choose from. Food is fresh, but a bit pricey. I ordered the shrimp ceviche and short rib banh mi. The ceviche was fresh and light. One of the best ceviche I've had. Short rib banh mi came with slaw and garlic fries for about $13 (most expensive banh mi I've ever had). Banh mi was good, but could've been better. The pickled vegetables lacked flavor and the slaw was bland. Also, tried the coffee sundae. It was yummy, but nothing extraordinary. Waiter/waitresses are very nice and knew the menu well. Service was a bit slow and food took a good minute to come out. Hated the fact that I only received a water refill upon request. Oh and apparently those who order water do not get a straw? Not cool. Overall, I'd go back....

Great experience. The food was great, the atmosphere is fun, and it's a refreshing departure from normal woodruff restaurants. The good: their Korean short rib is great. A lot of good Asian fusion going on here. Also, their snacks list is perfect. The odd dishes are the best, don't order boring. Great beer list. The bad: The hostess station needs some help. A lot of people hanging around who know nothing and don't appear to have time for you. The food was served barely hot enough. Overall, I'm really happy. Exactly what I expected, and I only see it getting better. Pumped.

Yard House can be hit or miss. The servers are generally very attentive but the volume of traffic can cause the service to be slower than a typical dining experience. The beer selection is unrivaled and the bartenders are knowledgable. Food, on the other hand, falls a little short. Last night, the Calamari was practically unsalted, Halibut was very dry. Keep in mind, the fish dishes are 25 bucks and appetizers are 11. There are much better restaurants if you drive a little further.

I'm really surprised by the bad and mediocre reviews, and maybe it has to do with the timing of the visits. We arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday. It was not busy, and since it was beautiful outside we chose to eat on the patio. Our server was very kind and very prompt, and our food was prepared and presented beautifully. Everything was fresh and delicious. Their guacamole is thick and chunky, and they'll refill your chips if needed. The BBQ chicken salad, which comes in two sizes, was chock full of tasty ingredients, including corn shucked fresh from the cob. The chicken is shredded, dipped in BBQ sauce, and even though served cold, was very tender. The smaller size is plenty for a meal, so I wouldn't do the larger one unless you plan to share. My husband had the asada tacos and had no complaints, and especially liked the flavor of the rice. The ambiance is nice inside and the bar is huge. Seems like a great place that would attract a noisy crowd at night if that's what you're into. So, proceed with caution if you must go during peak hours - but if not, I highly recommend.

The worst experience in recent years. I am not sure which was worse, the front of the house experience or the lack of experience in the back of the house. To be fair, I didn't get food poisoning. But at the length of time it took to get our food, it might happen tomorrow. When management was made aware of our problems, a poor remedy followed. Four people had less than satisfactory meals, only two were comped. Dessert was Great! Excuses are like rear ends. Every has one. Some are just better than others. J

Nice atmosphere and good drink selection. Menu is diverse with many options, however I felt it was overpriced for what it was. Food was just ok in my opinion. Happy hour is the best time to go as many drinks and appetizers are half price. Service was friendly and prompt/attentive. For the price you would pay for a full blown meal for two with drinks, there are better options in Greenville.

I started with a nice German wheat beer. We had an order of hummus, my wife had macaroni and cheese with bacon and mushrooms I had jambalaya and all this was followed up by a mini creme brulee. The good points: 1) Our waiter Eduardo. He was very patient and knowledgeable, he helped with our selections and pointed me in the right direction as far as my entree. 2) The staff as a whole. Helpful, attentive, and ready with a refill or an extra bit of salt as needed. 3) The decor. I really like the industrial/urban feel of the place, and I am also really happy that the tables weren't just crammed together. I had room to sit and relax and chat with my wife. The bad points: 1) I hate, hate, hate that restaurants are so frigging loud nowadays. A little sound absorbing materials on the walls and ceilings make things so much more pleasant. I understand, of course, that the louder it is, the more "fun" the customers think they are having, but I don't. I don't want to have to shout to have a conversation. 2) Prices are a bit much. About the food: The hummus was decent, but could have used a little more salt, garlic, and lemon. The Bacon Mac Mushroom was good according to Lisa, but it needed to have more seasoning. She ordered the 1/2 size and got the full size, so we've got some extra in the fridge. It was tasty, the bacon was thick...a solid dish. The Jambalaya was good, really good...well-spiced, a decent bit of warmth with sausage, little shrimp/crawdads, and one big shrimp. I liked it quite a lot. Finally the little creme brulee was done in an unusual manner, but was quite tasty. I'm tempted to go down to a 3-star rating due to the sound/noise, but the kindness and helpfulness of the staff brings it back up to a 4.

DELINA worked that bar and everything else. My husband and I were visiting Greenville and wanted to check this place out. Of course we YELPED it and found that the Vampire Tacos were a must order (which we did). They did not disappoint. We watched the bartenders and Delina really impressed us because she NEVER stopped! She worked that bar like she was by herself and did a great job with making everyone happy. We are all about good customer service and believe me, she was worth her weight in gold. If she was in NC where we live, we would have her hired in a NY minute. Great job Delina... we will be back to see you!

Wrote a recent review about my displeasure with the service at YH. To their credit, YH corporate reached out to me to discuss my visit and sent a gift card with the request that I give them another try. That try came last night and here are my thoughts: Service: Was waited on by Phillip and he is amazing but I cannot give YH the credit for that. Phillip and his wife are two of the finest bartenders in greenville and wherever he lands the service will improve. Beers: Still a great selection, but prices are unreasonable for this area. Breakdown of our tab (had beers with a buddy). 2 half yards and 4 pints. (1 hy and 2 pints each, don't judge me). We shared a fish and chips plate. Food was decent but hard to mess up fried fish and french fries. Our total.........wait for it...... $85. Bottom line I can't in good conscience give a higher rating. Yelp puts it best with "Meh, I have had better." As I said in my previous review, there are far better places to drink in Greenville that won't kill your wallet. They wont close their doors over one disapproving patron, and there are plenty of people lining up to get in. If you go and sit at the bar, make sure you get Phillip!

Great atmosphere, great service, great food, can't go wrong with 120 beers on tap. The keg cooler is upstairs and visible through windows ( nice touch ).. Playlist is really great very expansive.. Some might say slightly pricey but once you taste the food you will so not mind paying the price. Actually comparing places that do a chef menu this place is reAsonable. So please people of Greenville SC give them your business, so they stay.

I really want to like the Yard House. I really do however, my second experience with YH is making it difficult for me to be smitten with them. My lunch partner and I ordered hamburgers, fries, and sweet tea. The burgers were under cooked but the tea was ok. The manager (I cant remember his name) came to the table and apologized and took care of the bill. I really appreciated that but I wanted to have an awesome experience in a restaurant that has 130 craft beers. I would like to make YH my go to restaurant -for dinner and happy hour but two visits and two bad experiences-maybe it's not meant to be. Service was great and the restaurant including the restroom was clean.

If you are a beer advocate to others, this is the place you need to frequent as they tend to have a nice rotation of craft beers as well as the domestic staples. Make sure you take advantage of the Happy hour food specials as they have a pretty dynamite menu on top of the 130+ taps. It can be a bit pricey, but the selection is on par with both Ale House downtown, Mac's Speed shop downtown, and Barley's... If you are in the area for lunch definitely try it out.

First time here. Nachos were good, but no jalapeños and no salsa. I need some spice with my nachos. Entree was the street tacos. Blackened swordfish was way over seasoned and too salty, however; the concoction of ingredients in the taco were great. They just needed less on the swordfish. Sometimes less is more. The steak tacos were excellent. However, everything was missing the kick of spice. Good quality food though and really good beer. Oh yeah, and the nachos are huge.

I came here for lunch and sat at the bar, my bartender/server was Kelly, she was very knowledgable of the menu and drinks! Very helpful. She recommended the chicken tortilla soup, omg it was amazing! She made greats drinks, came by often to check on me. I never had to flag her down. I would recommend this for lunch and sit at the bar rather then waiting on a table, Kelly gives great service and wow she can talk sports, my Bf was very impressed.

Vegan/Vegetarian: For those of you that have heard that there is a huge vegan menu, that is not accurate. There were only a few vegetarian items; all sporadically marked with a 'V.' Food: The place was pretty expensive. The portion sizes are NOT equivalent to the prices charged. The nice thing is that everything seems to be made to order, according to the waitress. My wife got the Macaroni & Cheese. According to the waitress it is prepared fresh. It cost nearly $16. Prepared fresh? Yes. Portion size worth $16? Hell no! I got the Parmesan Crusted Chicken. Pretty much the same price as my wife's Macaroni. That completely doesn't make sense. I got much more food. However... the 2 pieces of chicken breast looked like one bigger piece cut into 2 chunks. Beer: The beer menu is expansive. It has a wide selection with many rotating taps. And it's pretty darn freakin' expensive. Even the Budweiser was really expensive ($6/pint). The down side? The wait staff doesn't seem to know the particulars of the beer menu... Which is really annoying. Maybe the styles, I can forgive. That's a lot of information. But when they don't understand the what costs what... that in not forgivable. I wanted to order a certain been that I'd never tried. When I tried to order, the waitress insisted that only a Goblet of beer (8oz) was available for the beer I wanted. But according to what the menu said, a pint (16oz) is what was available for what I wanted. But the menu was kind of unclear and the waitress doesn't know either and didn't offer to check. I finally opted for NO beer instead of worrying about the hassle of trying to figure it out... She just lost a sale. And bigger tip for a larger bill. Oh well. Overall: The food being prepared fresh was awesome and big deal in my final rating. The beer knowledge of the staff at a craft beer bar as big as this was particularly pathetic. And it was more than a bit overpriced. My final decision on not buying any beer at all on this visit, was based solely on the fact that I have an advanced knowledge of beer and know that I can buy a 12 pack (144oz) Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra for the less money than what they were charging for a 1/2 yard (32oz) of beer (Nearly $14). Come here for the food. It's very good. Expect to pay top dollar for it. If you want to try a beer that may or may not be at your local beer and wine store, this is the place. But, like I said... It is VERY expensive. Maybe a nice once-a-month date night. But to visit on a regular basis, you would go bankrupt.

3 stars was for combination of food and service. Positives: - If you want a rare burger, they give you a rare burger. No questions asked and no fussing around the subject. - Truffle fries are quite excellent. Perfect size/seasoning balance. - Outside seating is nice - Manager is very attentive Negatives: - My 14 year old ordered the lamb burger with cheese only. It came out the exact opposite with jalapeño sauce. Because we were seated outside there was no staff easily accessible. My husband had to go find someone inside to help. - Our drinks went dry for a very long time. My son ate half his meal with no water. - Music inside is WAY to loud. Tone it down a notch. The hostess was about to seat us at a table under a speaker which was blasting. Thats why we chose to sit outside. - This is just a personal irritation. When we first arrived, the hostess was very flirty with my husband. Normally I love the attention for him because I think he is a cutie too, BUT, please don't flat out ignore me in the process. To the gal with the fake eyelashes, you need to learn how to be respectful of wives. I'd give it another go at this restaurant in hopes that the complete lack of service from the waitor was just an off night.

I have been to Yard House twice - once for lunch and once for dinner. When I went for dinner, I was solo and sat at the bar. The bar was not too crowded and there were about 6 bartenders rotating around island of taps. For whatever reason, I was totally ignored. The bartenders seemed to be more interested in cutting up with each other than tending to guests. I was to the point of walking out. Then, a bartender came over and offered to wait on me. They have a great selection of beer on tap, although it is a bit pricey for tap beer. I ordered the small pasta dish, which was more than enough, but I thought it was pricey also. I liked the atmosphere so I returned for lunch later with a colleague. Service was considerably better this time as the restaurant was not very busy. The food was good and portions were fine, but more expensive for this type of restaurant.

Ordered a burger that has asparagus, lobster, arugula, Swiss cheese and some sort of tomato. I asked the server to leave off the arugula, Swiss cheese and tomato. When the burger arrived I could see the cheese oozing out. I told the person delivering the food to take it back as it was not what I ordered. The manager came out and apologized and said the order would be on them. The server also apologized. I thought this was a great way to do business and will definitely return.

I like this place. We went for Sat lunch, so we sat pretty immediately. We were taken care of by a great waiter, hardly a wait on anything and food fresh and tasty. The chef even prepared a special meal upon request for our 8 yr old. it's to be tried no doubt, I guess my issue is a almost 100 bill for 4 _ lunch. Cringe worthy. I'd go back but maybe just me and hubs on date night.

The service was terrible! The food is Applebee's quality with a PF Chang's price. We spent over 2 hours and had to keep asking for refills. We never got our wine. We will never go back even if it were free! Do not waste your time or money!

I was first exposed to Yardhouse in Phoenix, and fell promptly in love. The prices were right in line for the step-up from bar food they offer, and the beer selection is amazing. When I relocated to the Kansas City area, I was thrilled to patron the Yardhouse in the Legends - the prices stayed the same, and the awesome customer service that I had come to expect from the brand was intact. I found myself in Greenville, in a position at a secondary headquarters for a large bank right around the corner that has me taking out a lot of our visitors to different restaurants. Because they mostly stay on Haywood or Woodruff Rd, it makes sense for our trips to center around these areas. I say this to get to the point: I'm never coming back to the Yardhouse. Between the Legends and Greenville, the pricepoint has gone up insanely high - even allowing for normal inflation and food cost increases. Seriously, there's no reason to have a restaurant in Greenville that charges 3 bucks for a soda. I have been three times, and each experience was worst than the last. The first was two weeks after opening with my husband. Middle of the day in the middle of the week - no wait. Our server seemed not interested in us AT ALL. Turns out, he was being cut, and we had a new server take over in the middle of our shift - whom we never saw again. We flagged down the manager who didn't really care that our meals were served incomplete and our server never stopped by. My husband had been drinking beer, but he never got a second one. We chalked it up to growing pains and decided to try again later. Watching the reviews, it seemed hit or miss, so we tried again in March. Not on St. Patricks Day - we're not that stupid. Again, horrible, terrible service. We sat at the bar this time, and while the bartender was able to make time for the single guys and groups of guys at the bars (who drink a lot of beer and therefore end up with higher tickets which equals higher tips), my husband and I couldn't get service to save our lives. Protip: If a couple sits at a bar, then that means that even though there's a woman there, she likes beer. We were planning on having a few beers, walking over to the movie theater, and having a great night - but that just wasn't in the stars, because we didn't look like we were there for beer. We walked out without ever getting our food order taken, and with glasses of water on the bar. Flash forward to this week. Visitors in town for work (remember that big bank I work at right around the corner?), we're going out, and they see Yardhouse. "I've heard great things about them, let's go!" How embarrassing for us. We seemed to have interrupted everyone on a Monday night - which was slow - by trying to spend our money there. Again, the server was not the least interested in us, our orders were screwed up (how hard is it to cook a burger to temp?), no offers of remakes, just a "Ahh, I'm sorry that happened" (which was INFURIATING), dirty table, and because of all of that, it's not hard to feel like it was overpriced - especially when I hear from everyone "Three dollars? This better be the finest organic soda ever created". Needless to say, the Yardhouse has made it into my personal ban list, and is also on the corporate ban list - y'all should be ashamed. This is NOT the same Yardhouse that I am used to, and frankly, I don't think i'll be back when I travel to other places with a Yardhouse because of how this is going. Unfortunately, the decision to build in greenville was a terrible one, because you cannot hire the caliber of help that you need in order to make the atmosphere into one that justifies the high prices - and until you get that straightened out, the poor service comments (that I don't think you even check anymore because they are so prevalent) will continue and your reputation will tank. You'll become a first-time, only-time restaurant.

Yard house contacted us to retry the restaurant. Unlike my review before this time it went exceptionally well. We were greeted and seated within sec of arriving at 445 on a sat. Our waitress just happened to be the same one from before she greeted us with a smile and a positive attitude. She took our orders and checked on us several of times even after getting a rush. We ordered the same thing as before I had the surf and turf burger which was much better it was cooked to perfection. We ordered a salad that arrived after 10 min of being sat and as soon as we finished our entrees arrived. It was spot on this company has done well to be one of a few that actually appreciated customer feedback. Yard house has earned us back over and we appreciate what step you have taken to give good service. -JAllen-

I had family in town from Chicago and Sacramento for my wife's birthday. We decided to check out The Yard. Great choice. For those of you that know me I might enjoy a good beer every once and a while. Especially on days ending in Y. Let me tell you, if you can't find a beer you like on this menu, you should not drink beer. Amazing choices. The food...what can I say besides stupid good! We finally have a great restaurant with an amazing assortment. Don't get me wrong, I have eaten some great food here in SC, but this place is now in my top five. The spicy tuna roll...not your ordinary roll...this thing is a stack of yummyness. Pork fat taco, how can you go wrong with anything with pork and fat. Blackened sword fish again amazing. Lobster spaghetti had shrimp and other seafood in a delicious broth....*wipes drool from chin*. Then the tuna oh my!! Then dessert, creme Brule are you serious! The service was great. She interacted with us beautifully. I am originally from Chicago, and I have seen comments about it being pricey. Let me just say, we had five adults and ate like royalty and had multiple adult beverages and walked out spending 160 dollars before the tip. Money well spent in my opinion. Great job!!! Keep up the good work!! We will see you soon!!

Had a great time there and some very tasty food. Sat at the bar and had a lovely bar tender named Kelly take my order and kept my glass filled. She helped me pick out a great lunch from the large selection and gave me some ideas of what to do and see there in Greenville. This place is a must do.

The food is out of the box. I enjoy that they put their own twist or mix to things but when you're picky it's hard to find something to eat as is. The food haa good flavor. The portions are reasonable. The tacos are somewhat small so one will not be enough. Drinks are outrageously expensive.

This was our 4th time.. 1st time for Sat. night dinner. Just a suggestion, if you want to run a popular restaurant /bar on Woodruff Rd., be prepared! We waited 40 minutes to sit outside. this was acceptable since we were seated by 7:40 and the temp was still in high 50's. They were already out of the Mac and Cheese. Our server Zandy, was less than attentive, passing us by several times when drinks were clearly in need of refill. our apps came in about 25 minutes. After waiting an additional 1-1/2 hrs, the manager came out to inform us that the ticket was lost. He was going to cover our meal and have our food out to us ASAP.... after waiting another 25 minutes, we asked Zandy if we could move inside since the temp had now dropped to mid 40's! Zandy said she would check for an inside table. (we were now the only people dining outside)... Zandy came back out to let us know she had checked with the hostess(???) and that there was still a wait! We had now been on their patio with no dinner for more than two hours. The food came out shortly after that. When our bill came, the only thing that was "comp'd" were the entrees! We were there, outside, for 3 hours! Seriously dropped the ball on this one Yard House! The food is good.... beer choices abundant. Service? Probably won't go back.

Nice atmosphere, great beer selection, interesting menu selections, and nice staff. Ordering, service, refills etc was handled attentively. Calamari appetizer was overcooked and hard/rubbery which is a shame because the breading was seasoned great and had the potential to be an awesome dish. The rest of our food was good, shared the triple dessert sampler and it was tasty too.

Had the tacos on this trip and so glad I did. Vampire Taco was unlike anything I had ever had and it was awesome! Fish taco was very yummy. My first. I purchased the meal with Spanish rice and beans and really loved the rice which are usually bland in Mexican restaurants. Didn't get to the beans, was so full. As always, staff were friendly and attentive.

Ok I came in on a Tuesday night it was busy but not packed at all. This was the fifth or six time going here but this time I got a waitress SUNNY?? She wasn't knowledgeable at all she knew absolutely nothing about the menu or beer . I saw her twice once to get our order and again to pay she should go through some additional training she is not up to the regular Yardhouse standard I'm use to getting awesome service here but not from Sunny poor service .. You should get your head out of the clouds girl or off the drugs please!!!!!!!!!!

MANAGERS SUCK! I am a former restaurant manager. And these people need serious schooling! My husband's entree arrived 20 minutes before mine. And it was wrong. This was BEFORE the extra chips for an APPETIZER was delivered. 1st lesson in the business is to NEVER serve half an order! When my pizza FINALLY arrived the cheese in the middle wasn't even melted. Bartender asked manager 3 times to speak with us. NEVER stopped by. Then we were given our check...which should have been comped but instead it took 30 minutes to process. We've eaten at others across the country and these guys have MUCH to learn! Actually, they should be ashamed of themselves. They need a corporate problem solver to come in to attempt to get them straight.

I loved Yard House! When walking in we were greeted by the most friendly hostesses that I have ever met. Our waitress Amanda was one of the best waitresses that I have had for a very long time . She suggested the ginger salmon, and it was superb and now my favorite way to eat salmon. My friends had some of the other suggestions that she made (we had to steal a few things off one another's plates everything was that good). Our drinks were always filled, and our dirty plates were always taken off of the table. This is something that you see slacking at restaurants now of days. Matt was the manager if I can remember correctly. He came to our table to make sure everything was okay. He was such a gentlemen. This was my first time at Yard House, but will be our weekly stop for girls night because of the great staff. If you want to go to a restaurant where you are treated like gold and like family you must try Yard House.

Little pricey. Kind of like a more expensive applebees with a bigger bar. It definitely has the "chain" feel. But the food was good, menu very large and a lot of items to choose from.

Went Friday night of their opening week, was crowded but worth the wait. Great beers to choose from as you would expect, but food was just as good. Our favorites were the Caesar Salad, Calamari appetizer, and Avocado Burger, however everything was good! Glad they are a new addition to our Greenville restaurant lineup!

Have been to many yard houses throughout the country this has to be the worst in customer service. Staff was slow and untrained. However always a great selection of beers. Food is expensive and tasteless. Stick to the beers and go somewhere else for dining.

I was looking very forward to Yard House opening here since I had been to the one in Chicago. And it has been great! Love the atmosphere - great combo of bar/restaurant. Fun to go with a group or the kids or with a friend and have dinner and drinks at the bar. We tend to do this most often because there is always a long wait on the weekends. The tacos and rice bowls are my favorites so far. And, of course, their beer selection is huge! If I'm not drinking a beer, their Sunkissed Moscow Mule is my favorite!

Wow! Great place to gather with friends, drink from their plethora of draft beers, & enjoy great food! We dine out quite a bit and I cannot tell you the last time I have been so impressed with the overall experience. First, I called to see if they took reservations and Sarah informed me that they did not take reservations on the weekends; however, she did offer the option of putting us on the call ahead list IF they are on a wait. When I called back, they did not have a wait at that time so we just decided to wing it. When we arrived, we were welcomed with a warm hello from all the hostesses & Sarah even remembered talking to me on the phone! She gave us a brief intro to Yardhouse on the way to our large booth & even took the time to point out some of her favorite items on the menu. (very southern California cuisine) She informed us Kerry would be our server & that he would take great care of us. And boy was she right! Kerry was very knowledgable of the menu & helped us navigate thru the expansive drink menu as well. He anticipated our every need so we never had to ask for a THING! On to the food...in a word, DELICIOUS. Everything was very fresh & seasoned to perfection. They don't even have salt on the table because it is not needed! The tacos are a must try! Bravo Yardhouse...Our first experience but certainly not our last!

Big menu, lots of variety. Food is very good. Much more of a bar atmosphere. Problem here is the service. Could not get refills and condiments. Very VERY slow. Wait staff was rude. 2nd time I visited. Doubt I would return. Lots of other choices in the area.

My food was actually a solid 4: we split the queso dip and I had the Carnitas Enchilada stack which was delicious. I am giving it a 3 because the service was horrible; the waitress kept forgetting our drinks and the food took forever to arrive. They were also out of both of the initial beers we tried to order. I'd go back if I were hungry and in the area again, but wouldn't make a point of returning.

Food was great. Customer service was terrible. We had a great meal, had a lot of leftovers boxed up. Walked out the front door and realized that we left the boxes on the table(maybe 30 second time frame) until we walked back in to get the boxes. The table was clean and we asked if we could get the boxes from the back and waiter responded, no the bussers probably got ahold of it and ate it. Looked at him confused and said I literally just walked out and can you see if they have it in the back because it was a lot of food. Said it wasn't his table so nothing he could do. Was too mad to argue. We won't be back!

Ummmm! Not bad for college group hanging out drinking and socializing. Beyond that.......not a place for dinner with the family or a date. Acoustics are horrible. Service was fair. I think they need to get on their game. Will give it another try next time.

Was not wowed. We had a wonderful waitress and great cocktails, but there is not much to say about the food other than it is slightly overpriced. We went for my dad's birthday and both of my parents got the ribeye which had good flavor thanks to the homemade steak sauce, but both were a bit cold. My sister and I had salads that were good but nothing special. They did bring a small chocolate dessert for my dad that said happy birthday on the plate which was nice. Also- you would expect this kind of a restaurant to bring you bread before your meal, but they don't- we even requested it. If you are interested in going to a big, nice bar with a good atmosphere this place is for you. As far as food goes, you are better off checking out Firebirds, also in Magnolia Pointe.

Great restaurant! Had a group of over 25 people and they accommodated us well. I think we overpowered their capabilities, but the waitresses did well to take care of us! We all ordered at different times, and one salad took an hour to be served when people who had ordered 30 minutes before that meal got their food. Drinks took about 30 minutes a piece to come out, which is more than likely due to the restaurant being packed out the night we went. Overall the food is great, the drinks are phenomenal, but they still seem to be getting in the groove of things with their service. (I recommend the ahi tuna dinner- delicious!!)

Service was good. Food was tasty. Had the turkey melt which had great flavor and onion rings were perfectly done. That said a sandwich, iced tea and onion rings for $18 seems a little pricey for lunch. The beer house modern atmosphere will be attractive to some but felt cold and impersonal to me.

My husband took me to The Yard House last Friday night. Our waitress was horrible but our food was even more horrible! It was absolutely nasty! My husbands Halibut was burned! A great chef knows, you bake it only 15 mins! It even tasted like it has been soaked in grease from a deep fryer, ugh!!! I ordered my steak medium well, it came out raw! While we waited for our waitress to return, I took a bite of the mash potatoes, omg, they were instant potatoes with corn mixed in them! So gross!!! The manager, we thought, came by and my husband told him how disappointed he was to bring his wife to this restaurant and pay for a $100 meal and it be so bad! He told him the potatoes had to be instant and for that price per plate, it should be real potatoes!!! He took my steak back, it came back raw again! The manager, turned out to be the GM. He took our meals off and said he hoped we would come back. That definitely wont happen!!!! Don't waste your money here, go to Da Vinci's or Chop House, where you get real food!!!!
