I work in Greenville three or four days a week and often stop by the Savoury Corner for a box lunch. Their egg salad on wheat is very tasty and chock full of eggs with very little binder. The do a nice selection of sides too. The food is always fresh and tasty and I like the idea of supporting a local business. After a bit of a hiatus (started taking my own lunches to work) I went back to Savory Corner last week. The egg sandwich was just as good as it was and the potato salad better than I remembered. Nice to see a place that maintains standards over time.

You're better off going to the grocery store. $18 for two lunch boxes that consisted of two very blah sandwiches, a bag of chips, a cookie (the only redeeming item) and a side. We both ordered potato salad but they only had enough for one so my wife defaulted to pasta salad. The sides were awesome, but my roast beef sandwich was dreadfully plain and my wife's Italian was extremely dry. Like I said, the cookie and the sides were very good. But the sandwich and only a choice of plain chips knocks off two stars. But a price on par with lunch specials at nice downtown spots deserves good food and that didn't cut it. Don't waste your time or money.

Another great lunch box !!! I highly recommend this little sandwich shop. The chicken salad sandwich was spot on - as usual. And the cookie was the best!!!

Great little place. Support local places. Great food and great for lunch meetings. The veggie burger and meatloaf are my favorites.

Fresh roast beef (lots of beef), flaky croissant and pasta salad that was really good and not just dumped out of a Bi-lo container. Chefs salad with fresh ingredients lettuce and spinach - little iceberg thank goodness. Fast service. We will be back.

I am sorry to be the first reviewer to give the Savoury Corner less than five stars. Although I will return at some point, the few times I've stopped in have been lackluster. Food here is pretty standard issue across the board: very basic, thicker sliced Oscar Mayer (or similar) deli meats; plain Ruffles potato chips; that frozen BBQ which actually turns the bun bright orange; cookies that taste like they came from a factory and were baked in a shrinky dink oven. Although...I DID eat almost all of my chicken salad sandwich the other day. A nice surprise in the mix? Chopped pecans. I do appreciate the speedy service. They even have styrofoam cups of iced tea, lemonade, and water all pre-poured and lined up in rows on the counter (come to think of it, all that styrofoam, including the lunch boxes, can't be too good for the environment...but that's another issue altogether and I'm not exactly one to talk). All in all, I would say the Savoury Corner is at the very least consistent in it's delivery of pretty good food to the hungry and harried lunch hour crowd. We'll see how it goes next time. Maybe I'll try the soup of the day or a different sandwich. I'm also speaking to myself when I say there is always room for improvement!

Not savory at all. Got the $9 box lunch - NOT worth the money. I had the meatloaf sandwich and it was very dry and just old tasting. The tea also tasted VERY strange and old. Will not be going back. For $9, you must do better! The clerk was very nice however.
