Hey! Whatsup? The service and food here is da kewlest my bigs have found in Greenville so far. After trying two different menus, we can say these tapas are kewl: goat cheese empanadas, mashed taters with bacon n cheddar, chicken enchiladas (but they were really flautas), and short ribs (lean n lovely). Good wine list, too. The vibe is chillin' and it's friendly for the homogays, like my bigs. Thank you I know.

Cute. Good tapas. Good drinks. All good.

I usually do enjoy coming here for the drinks and the atmosphere that surrounds you. Though the last time I came in the art was taken off the walls and the color they painted the place was a little bleak. I know they are remodeling, so I hope they do something with that space. Though what made me give it a low rating than most was due to the volume of the music. When we first came in, the place was a reasonable level that my friend and I could actually hear each other without screaming. Though as the first drink was consumed, the music began to get louder, thus the people had to talk louder, then I'm sure some guy was complaining he couldn't hear the music because everyone was talking, so they turned the music up that much louder, and it escalated from there. So when my friend and I had to resort to reading lips to hold a conversation, we decided it was time to leave.

Great place for drinks, tapas, and conversation. Go before dinner or when you just feel like food & hanging out. It feels like a big city place.

We absolutely love the Cazbah! The rooftop is amazing, great ambience. The food is really tasty and fun, the small plates allow you to try lots of different things. They have good happy hour deals and great service. One of our favorites!!

If you like an array of finger foods on little plates with a glass of wine, then this is the place for you. I've enjoyed every single thing I've eaten from here--all with a Mediterranean flair. The tapas are wonderful: Black & White Hummus, Baked Caprese, the breaded calimari, the little pork chops and mashed potatoes, and we really enjoyed the duck. Of course they have a full bar and jillions of wine varieties to go along with the tapas. Their cheesecake is very good, too. The decor is kind of hip, artsy and fun: hand-sketched nudes on the walls and faux snakeskin benches (fake snake?); the place doesn't take itself seriously, which I like. There is nothing about this place that really defines the space as Spanish in particular, other than the tapas. Dine in, dine al fresco on the sidewalk, or take away. Clean bathroom. They donate food for opening-night guests at Centre Stage; I like that they support the arts and are involved in the community like that. Service can be a little slow, but if you are enjoying a nice glass of wine and conversation, you won't notice. ¡Buen provecho!

If you're prepared to spend some money on a few bites of impressive food and appreciate sharing small, delicious plates, The Cazbah is perfect for you. It has a great vibe and cozy atmosphere conducive to lingering conversation. As Ruben said, if you have a big appetite and/or aren't familiar with tapas, it's going to take a lot to get full.

Waited at the door for 16 minutes no one as hostess! Not approached by anyone. As I was leaving someone finally walked by and said they would be right back. I waited another 4 mins then decided to leave. Poor service!!!!!!!!

The Cazbah has a great atmosphere, and good food to go along with it. The space is small, but it adds to the ambiance. It is a great local place with cool art along the walls.

Loved this restaurant! First time in Greenville and had a great experience. Well priced wine list, amazing food. We shared the ribeye, mussels, calamari, lobster cigars and bread. We also had the chocolate empanada, which was the least tasty of all of our dishes but still good. The service was excellent and I can't wait for the next time we escape Charleston for a long weekend!

Despite the gale force winds that were blowing directly on me from the high powered ceiling fans, I did manage to enjoy my tapas. The food didn't "wow" me but overall I'd say The Cazbah is a good place to go if you're in the mood for small plates. Service is great. The menu itself has plenty to offer in the way of variety, I just think the actual preparation could use some tweaking...maybe go a bit lighter on the aioli and salad dressings so I can actually TASTE what's under there?!

  • Lori S.

Don't go here for the food. It's a nice bar that serves above average bar food that is not what you typically expect to get in a bar like lobster cigars. However food was served liuke warm and was average. Good wine selection though but no beer on tap.

  • Kimberly B.

The Cazbah has a cozy, yet personal atmosphere that you can enjoy drinks, and intimate dinner or even a larger dinner with friends. The food is great - one of the best selection at a tapas restaurant that I have seen anywhere. The bar is small, but the bartenders definitely are keen on servicing the seated area around the bar. The artwork is beautiful as well.

  • Who W.

The place looks quite appealing, a smallish tapas bar, tastefully decorated, that attracts a young and hip-for-SC crowd. The wine selection is good although the bottles are a little on the pricy side. The food sounds very appealing, but between the bread, escargot, baked caprese, and duck, nothing was on the great side. Might go back, but I wouldn't make a special trip.

It doesn't get any better then this place! The food here is some of the best I have ever eaten in my life. Having experienced $300-$700 dinners at the Burj Al Arab (7 Stars) in Dubai, I'd say the flavors and tastiness of the food at Cazbah's rivals those plates! :) The staff there is amazingly friendly and the atmosphere is best summed up as romantically cozy. In my opinion, the best place to eat in Downtown Greenville!

  • Tara H.

Even if duck is not what immediately think of in tapas or dinner entree, try the Chipotle Duck. It's magnificent. Wine and beer selection will never disappoint. Full bar, too. Seared tuna and the Black and White Hummus are also recommended.

These guys have no respect.. We have been waiting at the entrance for five minutes and also asked for help to waitresses. Nobody ever considered us, therefore we just left.. Definitively not the right way to run a business!

This place was excellent. Had the scallops and enchiladas, but the Asian Fusion Guacamole was absolutely delicious! We "will" be back!

  • Carlos C.

We love coming to The Cazbah! Always excellent food and great wines. We love the Fusion Tuna; the blended flavors of lime, avocado, chiles, ginger and cilantro together with the sashimi grade diced tuna on toasted baguette slices are amazing.

Great food and atmosphere! Spinach dip is a must have and you will not be disappointed!

Just buzzed by after the theater & honestly, some of the worst food I've put in my mouth, EVER. On a high note, the server was very nice & efficient..... NOT HIS FAULT the owners are serving unidentifiable frozen stuff( Sam's or Costco) hiding under some frozen glopp sauce. Probably a fun drink stop (we went on a Thurs. night, so hard to tell what the crowd is like) but don't waste your time/cash on food. Better to spend your $ @7-11

This is a quaint off-Main tapas restaurant. Small plates to share, or not, that come out as ready and not necessarily all at once. Not particularly crowded early (5PM) on a Saturday, we were seated quickly and placed our orders. Our server was courteous and offered a few suggestions as we looked over the menu. We ended up with the Asian Salad... abundant amount with great variety and taste. The Shrimp & The Secret Grit (shrimp & grits with the "secret ingredient" grits)... ice-cream scoop of grits, maybe six shrimp and sauce. I am a huge fan of shrimp and grits (usually) and have ordered and reviewed variations of this dish on numerous occasions. I was not awed by the "secret ingredient" in this dish... much like the "secret" tarragon Marie Barone slipped into Debra's kitchen to foul her attempt to prepare beef bragioli. The shrimp were small, only slightly larger than Calabash style shrimp, and rubbery. We all know that means overcooked & dental floss required. The "signature" lobster cigars... (2 for $10) with noodles and shredded seaweed salad. First the cigars... a novel presentation & crispy good with the teriyaki dipping sauce. After first bite, I could see the lobster (not certain if it was real or surimi-real); it was pinkish. Equal amounts of lobster and cream cheese in combat, ginger, and the dipping sauce... the lobster did NOT stand out above the cream cheese and teriyaki. Extra cigars are $3.50. Noodles were a tasty third of a cup. Alas, the third of a cup seaweed salad... ever walked the Battery in Charleston? SMELLED the ocean at low tide? Yup... that is how my shredded seaweed tasted. Not a fan. Finally, the LUMP CRAB CAKES (apologies to all SE coastal restaurants from VA to FL). Start with EQUAL PARTS bread chunks and LUMP CRAB (maybe, no one will ever know)... add the remaining ingredients and press the Cuisinart PULSE BUTTON! Form into 2.5-inch cakes and fry crisp on each side... place atop very good spicy aioli & serve. If only I could have placed 2 Phillips Crab Cakes (prepared according to package directions) from my supermarket freezer atop the aioli! Then I'd have had better. One place I doubt I'll return anytime soon.

Best restaurant in greenville and Tyler has an ass that won't quit! And the food runner swallows.

Wow. I dont know if they are under new management or what. But the cazbah has been our go to place for 5 years. The food was always amazing, and they were always attentive, but not pushy or aggressive. I have to say that the last 3 times we've come, the service has been abysmal. The food is still amazing, but the staff is all over the place. Our orders have been wrong, if we got what we ordered at all. I had to physically go find our waiter so that I could order a drink and my main course... and getting our check was a task in and of itself. What happened????

Tapas were delivered in perfect timing. Escargot is amazing. The best scallops I've seen in ages. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Friendly and professional service.

This is a great place to eat. The portion sizes are small but priced just right. It gives one the opportunity to order several different dishes for the same price one would pay for one large dish elsewhere. For $40 we tried the Lobster fingers which were like fried wontons but w/ lobster. Roasted duck seasoned perfectly. Chicken stuffed enchiladas were great. And the roasted chicken was tender and delicious! Paired with some good home made mash potatoes!

My first visit here on a rainy and lazy Sunday evening. Liked the interiors and the overall setup. We ordered the Black and White Humus with Pita along with Coffee. Next we went on to try the Lobster Cigars. Liked the preparation and taste. My Opinion: Must try.

We where looking for something to eat and we came across this place, it was a perfect date night place to eat and to have some wine. Very cozy and kinda intimate. I'll def check it out again.

This was my first time here. Made a reservation online so we didn't have a wait. We had the shrimp and grits, seared tuna, and lobster cigars. Everything was great but the lobster cigars were a bit salty. The white sangria was delicious! Service was great as well!

Aside from the lack of diversity in music, it's always a good time @ The Cazbah. Tapas portions so don't come starving, but expect great eats. In a nutshell "Good foods, Good Vibes, Good Times." -I say "YES" to "The Cazbah"

  • Nina L.

Their duck was amazing and far exceeded my expectations. I also ordered their fried asparagus, and that was a good snack too. It was my first time there, and I would like to go back and try more of their menu the next time I go.

I love tapas, and having just relocated from Manhattan, am adjusting to the slim picking in Gville. Cazbah does the trick though when the craving hits. Have been here with groups before and is a great spot to order a bunch of dishes to share with the table (request the front room if you have a party of 8 or more). We brought some friends from New York and Cali here last month and they were still raving about the food days later. . . .they do a great job perfecting an array of food genres. Cons: our male waiter last time was uber grumpy and a number of finishes are repeated across dishes (seaweed salad/cold noodles/sauces). The food is on point, though!

The Cazbah is quite possibly my favorite restaurant, ranked above my hometown Mexican restaurant, my date night place in Memphis, and my favorite Italian place in Pittsburgh. It was my go-to girls night and date night place when I was in college and it's always on my list of places to go whenever I return to Greenville for a visit. The restaurant is a cozy little place located right off of Main St. in downtown Greenville, with access to garage parking and street parking. There's a small private room in the front corner, a scattering of bistro tables and intimate booths, and a well-stocked bar right next to the smaller-than-my-closet kitchen. The upstairs has a few more tables in a loft setting that looks over the first floor. A few years after my first meal here, I went here for a tasting event with a culinary club we had at my university and got the opportunity to tour the kitchen and it's there that I learned why they offer tapas--the kitchen is TINY, so it's much easier to just cook little dishes as they come in and send them out as they are finished, rather than trying to stick to a traditional "appetizer, dinner, dessert" timeline. It was here that I was first introduced to the concept of tapas, traditionally small and savory Spanish dishes often served with drinks at the bar. This idea is perfect: you order an assortment of small dishes, enough that you can share, but small enough that you can order a lot and try a lot without paying a ton of money. The Cazbah has perfected this concept and I've tried just about everything on the menu. The spinach dip and baked brie are creamy, cheesy, and delicious. The seared tuna was the first I'd ever tried--it's cool, with an almost buttery mouth-feel, and the sesame oil-tossed spaghetti noodles and crisp seaweed salad served alongside it are the perfect accompaniments. The lobster cigars are like long, fancy crab rangoon pastries, served with a sweet and savory dipping sauce (there are two on the dish, but we always add enough for everyone to have at least one). The southern fried sushi roll is the best of both worlds: fresh fish and cool cream cheese with crispity-crunchity panko breading. This is not only the place where I tried seared tuna for the first time, but also where I bravely ordered escargot for the first time. The escargot is heaven on a plate--the snails are like tiny pieces of filet mignon and they're served in this creamy, garlicky white wine sauce with wilted spinach and a side of garlic-butter brushed crostini. I could honestly go off and gush about just about every other dish on the menu (I practically already have)...the only dishes I've tried that weren't that exciting were a duck breast dish they offered a few years ago and some sort of kind of boring chicken dish that was on the menu briefly. But seriously, anything you get will probably be amazing, and they've got some great wines and mixed drinks to pair with everything. The owners have some eclectic artwork (lots of naked ladies and gents), but the place is really kind of dark and intimate and trendy, in a subdued way. I often saw couples tucked away in corners, sharing bottles of wine, but many times, gaggles of girls would come in and take over the upstairs or a pair of friends would saunter up to the bar and chat with the bartender. The servers are nice and usually the wait for food isn't too long. The Cazbah has a special place in my heart--my boyfriend and I went for dinner dates there a lot and I spent a lot of time there with groups of friends while I was in college and I've enjoyed every meal I've had there. I highly recommend it!

First time visiting, been to quite a few tapas locations over the years and excited to see how it stacked up. Drinks were great between my wife's red wine and my jack&coke. Lobster fingers were not bad, not anything to right home about/didn't bring a desire to order again. They came with a soy based sauce of some kind, seeded pasta, and what I believe was a seaweed garnish. I enjoyed the seaweed about as much as the lobster fingers themselves. My wife ordered a plate of mussels which were a disappointment. 1 out of the roughly ten mussels was actually fresh while the others came with a taste of high tide. They weren't nasty, but still not nearly as good as a recent trip to Asheville NC. I was very anxious to try their shrimp tacos as this is one of my personal favorite items at many Greenville restaurants. Sadly, they were highly spicy and came with some unexpected ingredients like corn and other assorted relish items. I was disappointed to say the least. Desert was a happy ending though with their caramel apple cheesecake pasty. Very well done and left me wanting more. Our server was good, not the best I've seen but no complaints towards her individually. I believe this is their overall style, but I maybe wrong, during the course of the meal we were brought one dish at a time with a good chunk of wait time in-between before our next item arrived. The largest of the wait times came before the shrimp tacos which we had to ask our server if the tacos were still on their way which she replied that they were. This is quite a stark difference from all other tapas styled locations I have visited where everything is brought at once so that they all can be shared simultaneously. I strongly prefer the all at once rather than being strung along waiting. I'll be glad to give them another go but i do wish this first visit was a bit better. Cheers!

Over rated. They have a few great dishes and a few very bland ones. It can be hit or miss, but will always be over priced. I don't recommend their gin and tonic or their whiskey sour.

  • Mike S.

The Cazbah was rediculously good. The happy hour deals are killer. Top o' the food chain for me: The escargot- Creamy and sublime The mash taters- Why is this so damn good?! Short ribs- good, not blow my mind great though Wish I could be funny right now, but I'm delirious and on meds.

I really enjoyed my meal, but they sat us at a table for two, and we were a party of four. We didn't have the room for all the plates. This surprised us because we came early and there were many tables open. The food was excellent though, it made up for the crummy seating.

The Cazbah is a small Tapas restaurant 1 block off main street tucked away in a small store front. Went on a Thursday night. They have a $10 bottle of wine special w/ $35 in food purchases. We did not get off to a good start when our Server could not describe the wine. It was spanish and I tried to help her define it but no luck and no tasting b/c they only have it by the bottle. She did offer if we did not like it, we could send it back....You know where this is going. Wine was maybe a $8 bottle of wine. Awful. To her word, she took it back and brought us a couple glass of Cab - Thank You! Food... Nothing special. I'm use to tapas' places that get very creative w/ their small plates that are typically loaded w/ Flavor. This place is really just a small plate appetizer called a tapas restaurant to make it sound better. Food was bland and uninspired. Service - was good and warmed up through the night...In fact I give them an extra star. I wouldn't tell you not to go, but I suspect I will forget about this place soon and only end up back there by cace one day.

I know a lot of people are turned off by the idea of a tapas restaurant. Either they have no idea what that means or they dislike the idea of it, mainly thinking they won't get enough food for the price. In my experience, between two people, the bill has usually averaged around $35-40 and I've never walked away hungry. Everything I have tried has been great and I love the fact that you can get a variety! Like I said, everything has been great, but some of the stand outs are the shrimp and grits (oh! I could eat a bowl of the grits alone!! So good!) and the spinach dip. Hands down, my favorite has got to be the shrimp tacos! The waiters have all been awesome and the service is quick, but not hurried. The dining area is a bit tight, like another reviewer said, but I have never felt like anyone was intruding in our space. Keep an eye out on Groupon or LivingSocial for great deals here! Highly recommended!

Very good tapas make sure to get a coupon they are always running specials! Also, the spinach dip is a must!

  • Amanda M.

The atmosphere and drinks were good, and we liked the bartender, but the food wasn't good. We got the lobster, calamari, short ribs, and seaweed salad. We liked the seaweed salad the best...but you can get that anywhere. The rest...barely edible.

  • Stacy L.

We walked in, were seated immediately, then we waited, and waited, ordered, waited again, and then some more, and then more. We ordered everything at one time (not in waves as many tapas places do) and it took 2.5 HOURS from when we first sat down to when we paid out check. We were a party of 2 that ordered 5 small plates between us. The wait was ridiculous! Our waiter was very slow, did not come check on us after we received our food, never apologized for the wait. We were waiting for over 30 minutes after finishing eating to get the check, have him run our card so that we could sign and leave. The food was ok- didn't blow my socks off but it was fine.

Fabulous place for a light dinner or late night snack! I highly recommend the Lobster Cigar appetizers as well as the sirloin steak and the Beef Wellington! A little bit of Europe in SC.

  • Brett B.

I have heard good things about this restaurant but unfortunately my first visit was disappointing. The tomatoes on my caprese salad were tasteless and partially frozen, and other small plate dishes tasted like they had recently been frozen, and had been perked up by either a microwave zap or a quick deep fry. I have been back for drinks since but would not return for a meal.

    (2)
  • Erin B.

The shrimp tacos were amazing! Ah-MMMAZE-ing. The Guatemalan chicken enchilada left me a little confused. I'm not sure why it was Guatemalan...tasted like roasted chicken to me and I didn't note hints of traditional Guatemalan dishes. That being said it was very good just not quite what I was expecting based on how it was listed on the menu. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

  • Scott R.

Cazbah has great food; but what my wife and I love most is that many of the dishes are a fresh and original take on something most of us have eaten before. For example the hummus is made with toasted Asian sesame oil instead of tahini, leaving you with a refreshing take on a traditional dish. It´s very good. Last night my wife and I among the other dishes also ordered the roasted chicken in a light cream sauce. I was hoping to eat lower in calorie, and figured I would´nt eat much of the sauce. The chicken was wonderful, and the sauce was not a light cream sauce, but a citrus based heavy hollandaise type of sauce. Unfortunately it was so good, that i ended up mopping up the extra sauce with a piece of leftover pita from the hummus. My wife and I have been to Cazbah five times now, and the food has always been wonderful. It´s not perfect, and the fried asparagus is nothing special, but most of the dishes are very good. The plates are smaller, so 2 people could easily eat 3 plates giving you a chance to try different things. Without a doubt one of the better kitchens in Greenville.

  • Santi L.

wow... Tapas portions but they smack you in the face with flavor. not boring at all, duck was on point, pork tacos had sautéed tomatoes and onions and they managed to keep it tender. seared tuna was different pepper encrusted! great servers, the vibe is cool but the last few times they have been playing to much metal instead of a variety of genres. anyways....cazbah.... do it!!!

  • Erika T.

I love the food at the Cazbah. It has always ben great and the tapas style is fun and allows you to try a lot of things. I love the Lobster Cigars. Yum! But the entire atmosphere inside needs major help. The place just feels dirty and in need of renovation. The bathroom upstairs is just nasty and you have to walk through the beverage area with open pipes and buckets of dish water, rags, etc. It just leaves you feeling gross. I wish it was a better atmosphere because I enjoy the food, but each time I go I can't help but look around and notice that things have not been cleaned in a very long time. Making it very dark inside does not disguise this as much as they might think it does.

I have been to here a couple times for drinks. In the busy downtown area with bars packed full of drunken revelry, this is a place that is more relaxed and full of locals. Whenever I am here, there is always food and bev folks from other places here. That's always a sign of a good local spot. Drinks have a heavy pour and I have met some cool people here. The bartender who has been there every time I have, has always been quick and on top of his drinks. I'm a fan!

  • Melissa T.

I ate here with my boyfriend for my birthday. I am fairly new to Greenville and he does not live here, so we do a lot of scouring Yelp looking for new places to eat here. We LOVED this place! We couldn't stop talking about how good the food was. We got the Spinach Dip, Lobster Cigars, Seared Scallops, and the "Tour de France" meatball sampler. The spinach dip was oddly addictive. My least favorite dish was probably the scallops, but they were still delicious. We are not huge wine drinkers, so I ordered a beer and he stuck with water. Service was prompt and friendly, but not overbearing or intrusive. I really can't think of a bad thing to say about this place. I enjoyed the warm and cozy ambience and the pricing was lower than expected. I WILL be back here!

Every time I go to Greenville this is one of my "Must Stops". The prices seem reasonable, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is contagious. I will warn you that the desert is going to make your blood sugar spike, but it's well worth it and one you won't want to share! If you like socializing with a friend or a small group - this should be a place to stop! Even my most serious colleague who almost refused to go decided it was an excellent place!

  • Mike K.

Awesome selection and filling sizes. For a couple, we got five dishes...but four filled us up. The tuna was our favorite, but the meat-a-balls were a close second (w/ some spice!).

Great drink prices for late night happy hour as well as some of the best staff you can get! The servers and bartenders are always taking care of you. Didn't eat food this visit but in the past the food is always excellent.

Great martini's, and absolutely unbelievable spinach artichoke dip! You have to try it! The other tapas are very good as well. My wife and I visit frequently.

  • Kel T.

Oh, I just love this place. You absolutely cannot go wrong with the black and white hummus with warm pita to start. Then try the chipotle duck and/or the short ribs, and for dessert the caramel apple cheescake xangos. So good and so fresh. Very nice atmosphere for date night or fun with friends. Our neighborhood jewel! And don't forget to go to their website to get $40 worth of food and drink for $25. Can't beat that!

Great night out with friends. Love tapas and they are good, I mean really good. Try different tapas and share with your friends. Gives you a good overview of all tapas they have.

I feel like with most restaurants I go to I find the dish that most zeroes in on my taste and order it without question. Credit to The Cazbah; I always have a hard time making up my mind when I go there because I like so many of their dishes. Some ultimate favorites are the stuffed chicken, goat cheese salad, spinach and artichoke dip and lobster cigars. The room in the front is perfect for a group dinner or special party.

We found this place purely because it was open after 9pm as we were passing through on our cross-country roadtrip on a Sunday night. We were promptly seated, menu'd and had orders taken. Like most tapas restaurants, there's something for everyone and looks a little pretentious. That's fine, usually it means the food is good. And it was, our entrees were well priced for the portions. I might say the fried ravioli and spinach salad*were small for $7, but they're tapas. Duck or ribeye for $8 is really nice though. The place definitely seems to have some bar regulars, which makes it feel really comfortable. We would absolutely eat here again if we were in the neighborhood. *A word of of warning about the spinach salad. The dressing is delicious, but it's HEAVY on the garlic. Lucky for me, my husband can't smell. :)

Amazing! Third time I have dined here and it keeps getting better. Love this place. Seating is pretty tight - so don't be surprised when you are seated fairly close to other diners. Service was impeccable and food was fantastic. A few of our faves: lobster cigars, roasted chicken with potatoes (sounds boring but was awesome), and the spare ribs. The chocolate dessert with bananas was a nice exclamation point to the night. Awesome awesome awesome!

Love this place! We were visiting from out of town - came to Greenville just to try some of the restaurants. Very, very happy this was one of the places we picked. Lobster cigars, fried sushi roll, lobster ravioli, seared tuna were all amazing. Service was very good and restaurant had a nice atmosphere and vibe. Coming back to Greenville in a few months and this restaurant will be on the top of our list!!

Nothing too crazy on a Friday night. Very easy and relaxing. Order was taken in good time. Great start to a great night!

Great Tapas, there Escargot was fantastic, I also enjoyed there calamari quite a bit. There service wasn't great the guy server we had wasn't very attentive and he didn't know how to stagger Tapas to give us time to enjoy each one. It was like a food dump which ruins the tapas experience in my opinion. They also had this asian style chicken lettuce wrap thing on the menu which was good but they didn't serve it with any lettuce wraps which was weird I had to ask him for some pieces of lettuces to eat it. overall though I would go back because the food was really good and the ambience was perfect.

Let me start off my saying, please don't judge this place by the low lighting, grungy carpet on the steps or the banged up walls. TRUE STORY - first thing I thought to myself when I walked in was, "for the LOVE". BUT O.M.G. were they the best drinks and best tapas EVER. The ribs fell off the bone by staring at them and just willing them to! I can't even describe how incredible the sauce was...amazing to the taste buds - dancing between a smokey and sweet flavor that just left you wanting more....my mouth is watering now as I type this... The drinks were awesome too. Try the specials - I had something with vodka and cream soda i think....IDK, but it was heavenly....and I am not normally a cocktail drinker at all... The staff was fabulous although we did have to go searching for them once.... I can't give it 5 stars because I thought it needed some serious interior upgrades... and the area upstairs where guests can lounge is next to a messy storage room (it looked like a storage room to me but i think there was a microwave or something in there too) with no door on it... some fresh paint, a door and new carpet on those stairs would do this place wonders. If you just want awesome drinks and HEAVENLY small plates...this is a MUST STOP if you are in Greenville! Oh, and to throw it out there....the CAZBAH is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than the Lazy Goat....good for nothing Lazy Goat.

My friends took me here for my birthday a couple weeks ago. Maybe it was all the drinks they bought me, but I loved this place. We were sat in the private room up front, a.k.a. the "porn" room (paintings of naked men and women surrounded us). Our server was funny and did a good job putting up with a crazy group of people. The food was great (not filling, but delicious). I had the Asian salad to start with(mmm, dressing), followed by some crab cakes and a great pork and potatoes dish (forget what it was called, Joan something...) Desserts were probably the best part though, some amazing fried stuff, chocolate, caramel, etc. I look forward to going back. They also have a great late night happy hour, 1/2 off of house liquor I believe, after 11:00, usually open till 2!

Tapas type restaurant. Great wine selection. Liquor available. Limited beer selection.-Bottles only. My wife and I LOVE this place. Intimate dining. Great place to spend a few hours sharing a dish at a time and then finishing with one of their many outstanding deserts. The wait staff has been great about letting us just order slowly as the night goes on. Free parking in the garage across the street on weekends. Downtown Greenville at it's best.

Tapas style downtown. If you make a reservation I suggest specifying downstairs. Upstairs seems somewhat makeshift, I hate being placed up there. Most food items are very good, others average. Drink specials late night.

Dedicated to my former boss, and his love of this establishment. I've been here on a number of occasions (each occasion my former boss happened to be here) and I must say, this is a pretty hip little place for downtown G-Vegas. For those of you who have never been, this place specializes in Tapas- the basic concept being you order a bunch of small plates, and share amonst the group. The first time I came here, my boss did most of the ordering. We had a number of different dishes- a really great beef dish, ahi tuna, lobster cigars, and a variety of other things. They have a rotating menu, most of which is delicious. The food is mostly the product of the head chef there (a young chap, who happens to be very creative). Here's the scoop- if you have a big appetite, you're not going to like coming here. The dishes are a little pricey, and you'll probably have to spend a bit to get full. If you have a better appreciation for fine food than I do, then check it out. They also have a pretty decent wine selection. The good- the food- pretty much everything is tasty The bad- the food is small in small quantity; be prepared to order a couple of dishes to get full Big ups to you Shaun, I hope some day you find this review.

I had a fabulous time here! I was there in a very very large group upstairs and I saw about 1 or 2 waiters.. Mostly the one guy who was extremely impressive.. to me at least. He'd bring up 5-10 drinks and get 5-10 more drinks ordered right back at him and I never had a problem. The staff was very nice and actually gave me a recommendation on another restaurant which was amazing. I got the lobster cigars which were amazing. Also on the plate when it came was a seaweed type salad which was grreat and a small noodle side which was also very good. I loved this whole plate and I wish i could have eaten more more more! A family member got the calamari and I was seriously disappointed in their calamari. Waaayy too much breading on it for me. Other than the calamari I had a wonderful experience. Thank you! I'll be thinking about my appetizer for a long time.

This place is great!!! There are obviously certain items we preferred over others, but nothing was bad. We loved the sesame seared tuna, shrimp tacos, and ribeye. My picky brother (who normally only eats chicken) even loved everything. He ordered the chicken meatballs and they were surprisingly VERY good. Our waitress even brought us a free order of duck (an extra was accidentally made for another table so we got it free). Some items are a little overly 'sauced' but usually the sauce isn't all over the item, it depends on you and how much you want to put on the food.

My brother and I came here for a sibling date. The only reason that I give it only 4 stars is that we had a table right by the door to the kitchen. It was super loud in there because it was really crowded. The atmosphere reminded me of a tapas place that I love in the west village. The dessert empanadas are SO good!

The Cazbah is one of the more mellow-gant places to have a drink in Greenville with the bonus of not being snooty or over-priced. I'm a big fan of their Black and White Hummus. Ask for it with crackers instead of pita (which is sometimes reheated after being refrigerated) and no parm.

Stopped in for a light dinner. The three tapas dishes we had were absolutely delicious. Service was great. Place is a bit noisy, but sitting upstairs helped. Will definitely be going back when in town.

Nice laid back European style cafe in of all places S.C. It was a laid back Sunday evening & we really didn't feel like the hustle and bustle of going to some big well known steak house (i'm looking at you Ruth Chris!). Now I said this is a european style cafe but they serve Tapas (spanish) confusion aside everything is perfect for a casual evening. Drinks, good food and mood lighting all set the stage & this is a nice little romantic dinner spot.

When the waitress brought my escargot, she called it heaven on a plate. She was not exaggerating. Wow. The sauce was thick, heavy, but just right for the perfectly cooked little crawlers. It's listed as a white wine reduction with roasted garlic, but it reminded me of a well-blended curry. The critters themselves were soft and succulent. The bread was *just* enough to sop up the remaining sauce. So, so good. And the crab cakes... They held their own in flavor against the escargot's sauce. The texture was just right, a good mix of soft binding and firm crab meat. My wife wasn't thrilled with her spinach salad. It wasn't bad, but it didn't compare to the crab cakes or her sweet lemon drop cocktail. The atmosphere topped off the nice evening. We stopped in late on a Sunday night, so our waitress was actually the fantastic bartender. The relaxed feeling was great after a long drive with rain and crazy drivers. The artwork is surprising considering Greenville is known for one "university." Not that it's anything unusual for art; the paintings are an unexpected delight in what appears to be a conservative town. (We don't live here and only pass through, so we could be completely wrong.) These are tapas, so don't expect to fill up on one plate. The flavors and dishes are satisfying, however. We each had one plate and split a third for a light dinner.

I like de place. It's better to go with a group of people who you don't mind sharing your cooties with since you're likely going to dip into their plates to do a taste test. Tasty food in small porportions works with me.

Good restaurant for a group of friends. The smaller servings help keep conversation going. Their happy hour starts at 10:30 and features half-off drink specials.

Possible one of the best places in the city. A limited tapa menu does make the choice of what to order any easier. not to miss the Joan Crawford pork!
