I ADORE this little tea shop. They have a wonderful assortment of loose teas, and a clever tea menu (including lattes and smoothies). Additionally, they serve wine, and food (salads, sandwiches, and waffles). My sister and I tried the Californian and the Hummus sandwiches, and they were so awesome we each had half of the other's. IT was beautiful inside, and the woman behind the counter was an absolute sweetheart, and completed the whole charming experience. I want to live here. :)

Tealoha has changed a bit in a good way since I went there the first time. The seating has changed a bit and it now offers more lounge seating while still offering places for someone to sit with a MacBook and do homework. The overall feel of the space is great with tasteful decorations, dim lighting, and wonderful ambient music. The latter is a huge point for me. Many of the places I frequent play music that sometimes makes it unbearable. Tealoha has great instrumental music that is conducive to conversation with others or working on your own project. They have wonderful selection of teas and they have also started to offer coffee and wine. Great selection here while all in a wonderful place.

I loved the tea here! I got the Southern style, green iced tea. Also got the salad with chicken and bacon, I really enjoyed it. Overall a great place to eat and drink tea.

Everytime it's something refreshing like my white cherry tea, iced. I'm always delighted by their selection of organic foods and drinks. The staff is uber-knowledgable and very willing to share all of their secrets. The chicken salad is great and the coffee is right up there with the best. The cozy space isn't ideal for loud conversation but is ideal for snuggling on a comfy couch, sipping tea and writing yelp reviews.

For a tea house I give five stars. Their food isn't off the charts but they are not there to feed you. It's a place to chill and chat or surf the web as they are a wifi hit spot. The have a good selection of teas at a fair price. A four cup pot of tea will run you $4. The atmosphere is chic, clean, inviting, & casual

I love tea and after spending $5 to park, I walked to this place in downtown Greenville to check out their business model and tea offerings. I love tea places that sell loose tea and that also make drinks - sometimes it's one or the other. Thing is that their loose tea offerings are not very extensive. Anyway - the tea guy (lack of other term) seemed a little busy but was patient enough with me. While I was making up my mind I told him he could feel free to do whatever he needed to do and he did. When he returned I ordered and paid for my 16 ounce tea and waited about 5 minutes for it to brew. In the meantime, it was open mic night and a comic was trying to successfully engage his very small audience. I tried to stay out of sight but got pulled into the routine a bit ... So the tea was very nice - and a bit expensive at almost $5?. I could have done without the comic. I won't go out of my way to find this place again in the future but I wasn't sorry I stopped either. I wish the owners great success in their endeavors. It's just not quite my perfect cup of tea.

Nice and pleasant tea room. I ordered masala chai latte hot and it was pretty good. Place looks very cool and you can sit there and read a book or work on your laptop with out any disturbance.

Great atmosphere! It is roomy and not squished together like most tea/coffee joints. Teas are always great! Staff has always been helpful!

Went here after bicycling the Swamp Rabbit Trail -- I usually drink coffee and like Starbucks so I was a bit confused with the tea selection. The patient and knowledgeable tea chef suggested a snow flake latte and it was great. My sister and my husband got the same thing, but with half the sugar added and it was also fantastic! My brother N Law got their coffee and it was presented elegantly and tasted excellent. The bathrooms were clean, the atmosphere very pleasant, and all employees extremely helpful. I just wish there was one in Atlanta! May have to make some more frequent trip to Greenville to get my new favorite drink-- Starbucks look out- you now have competition! And to top it off, they appear to be concerned as to how humanely the cows are treated..where they get their milk from for the lattes..unlike Starbucks, which is the reason why I try not to go to Starbucks for their drinks anymore, I only buy their coffee and make my drinks with Organic Valley milk. Good luck Tealoha Hope to see you in Atlanta PS to all of you who complain about the price...I hear Racetrac has a pretty good cup of Joe for a buck or 2!

The French press coffee here is exceptional. Plus, the atmosphere and location are top notch.

The mixed tea drinks are a little too sweet for someone expecting a drink closer to tea and less to Starbucks. However, if you expect Starbucks, they taste great. Just make sure to ask for less sweetener if you are like me and prefer a plainer beverage.

Decent tea joint with a great atmosphere. They took time with the design but their products are very overpriced $3 for a 12 ounce bottle of flavored soda is a little ridiculous. Good place to meet up with people if you don't buy anything.

There is exactly one thing keeping Tealoha from being 5 stars for me, and that's their prices on their food and other-than-tea items. I've been three times since they opened, and I've never been less than thrilled with their drinks. I usually get the Masala Chai latte - I've had it both iced and hot. Keep in mind they make their tealattes with condensed milk, so it's already very very sweet. I think you can request regular milk, which I may try in the future so I can also get honey in my drink. The Masala Chai is perfect - not spicy, but full of spices. Sweet and mild. I've also had their Assam tealatte. Assam is not as easy to find, and you almost never see it available in coffee/tea shops to make lattes with, so I wanted to take advantage of it. It's just as good; Assam is a more woodsy black tea. The condensed milk's sweetness and creaminess does a good job of taking the bitter off the edge of black tea. Now, their food - I met friends there for lunch once and got their turkey bacon panini. It comes on a plate with a little bit of greens for garnish, which I immediately added to the sandwich. Their pesto is great! The sandwich itself was hot and crunch and exactly what it should be. My husband and I also had brunch their once. We each had a breakfast sandwich - I had a egg and sausage panini - and split a Strawberry Belgian Waffle. the sandwich was a perfect way to start breakfast; full of protein and hot and freshly made. The waffle was great too - the whipped cream it came with looked to be fresh as well. The waffle actually had strawberry IN it, which was a pleasant and awesome surprise. The decor is gorgeous - green and brown and wood-patterns. Plenty of tables and even a couple of cozy easy chairs if you just have a drink or want to spend some time on the laptop. It's in a good location - far enough from Main Street that you don't hvae the constant noise of the crowd intruding on the quiet of the shop. It's right next to Jimmy John's, about a block off downtown. The employees have always been friendly and incredibly helpful. I've met the owner and she was delightful and fun to talk to as well. Literally the only downside to this place I have seen so far is the pricing. The sandwiches are priced like they come with sides, but they don't; this is frustrating when you want to have lunch. I'd like to see the greens-as-garnish on the plate turn into a small salad or some chips option. It's just not quite enough food to justify the price. On the other hand, I've been there three times already, so obviously it's not enough to turn me away ;)

I like the selection of loose teas. Atmosphere is beautiful. I never see it crowded and it makes me wonder how they stay in business, then when you see the prices, you can see how! I tend to see more people hanging out, not ordering - or one in the group ordering and the others just sitting around talking with the person who ordered. I, as others said, could do without the "catchy" gimics to get me in the door, ie, open mic.. as many of the audience members are not even ordering. With such a beautiful shop, tea choices, food choices, sweets, they don't need to resort to this. If they do have group activities I would like to see a book club, or afternoon tea. Their matcha green tea is of good quality. I wish they sold it in the to-go containers. Having said all this, I fully support a local owned business which utilizes other local business within it's shop - Happy Cow, Bee Well Honey, Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery.
