If you walk buy and glance at the menu, you may be confused as to whether your at a Mexican restaurant or a Sushi joint. The owners have found a way that combines both and it's very pleasing. We stopped by for lunch and ate outside since we had our dogs with us. I had the fish tacos which were delicious. They use a tempura batter which adds to the lightness of the soft shell taco. my girlfriend had the steak habachi which she said she thoroughly enjoyed but she likes her steak well done which is a bit much for me. Over all a nice, reasonably priced downtown restaurant with a twist.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Greenville. I've only gotten the sushi before but it has all been amazing. The Tataki Tango is to die for. Salmon tuna and white tuna lightly seared with a little spicy run on it over a bed of cucumber and seaweed salad. It's so good I've gotten it almost every time I've gone. The staff has been friendly and I've never had a long wait for the food either. It can get busy on weekends though so make sure to make a reservation!

I am reviewing for almost everything on the menu. TakoSushi is 5/5. This is a rating that I reserve for restaurants that deliver in both quality and price. The crazy roll is going to be amazing to someone new to sushi or someone who lives off of it. You can get both taquitos and sashimi and have an amazing meal here. The red tuna sashimi is going to be silk across your tongue. It is some of the best food I have eaten anywhere. If you are new to greenville or visiting, you must eat here.

This is by far my favorite sushi restaurant! It has ruined me...when I try to go anywhere else for sushi I can't help but compare and everywhere else comes up way short! Their fish is much fresher and their homemade sauces much tastier than any other! My non-sushi eating friends always rave over their southwest side of the menu as well. Great for any crowd!

The concept of putting sushi and Mexican together is awesome and was executed very well. The tuna tartare and the sushi was very good. On the more Mexican side, the food was also good, just pretty Americanized. For instance, the fish tacos and the chile relleno had a lot of cheese and sauce. However, the pico was very refreshing. The drinks were tasty and strong, and the service was great. All in all, this could become a regular spot.

This is the best sushi in Greenville. The Tako side is great too! Try the Greenville roll or volcano.. DELICIOUS! We are frequent visitors and have always had fresh and great sushi. They have great service too.

At our table we had both sushi items and Mexican items. Both were really good. The posole was spot on and the fish was fresh as well as the rice. Service was great as well. Try to not get one of the hard bench seats-seems to hard and hurt our backs after a little bit. Will go back next time I'm in Greenville.

For obvious reasons, the thought of going to a place that serves Mexican AND Japanese just didn't turn me on...at first. Now that I've tried it, I am convinced that Takosushi really is onto something. This clever little eatery caters to people on both sides of the fence and does so with panache. The sushi menu is extensive and very sophisticated; the Mexican side is authentic and fresh. While I am not a sushi lover per se, my spicy tuna rolls and shrimp tempura were excellent. The chicken burrito and sides my husband ordered were, in his own words, "the best Mexican food in Greenville." Takosushi really delivers - whatever your preference. No longer a skeptic, I am thrilled to have discovered such an ingenious concept.

How unusual! The menu is a real eclectic mix of Mexican food and Japanese cuisine, which is cool. Though, I feel like you really need to choose just one path in a sitting-the combo just does not feel natural to me. Haha Came here on a Friday night and it was pretty busy, but they were able to seat us without a reservation. I got a Moscow Mule, because I just recently heard of them, and they are delicious and deceptively strong! (a.k.a. the perfect beverage.) We shared some edamame, and I had the veggie egg rolls which I thought were really great, and a smoked salmon quesadilla. An unusual option for a quesadilla, but it was delicious! I don't know if I'd order it again, because it was so strange, but it was good. I'm excited to come back for some sushi. Also, our waitress was lovely.

There are some reviews in which you feel at crossroads. You want to stay true to integrity of an honest review but you don't want to hurt a business after you had a great enjoyable dining experience. This is one of those reviews for me. Maybe it was the food I ordered but I was not blown away by the sushi. I had ordered some sushi rolls off the happy hour menu. They were a really great deal. California roll for $2.50. spicy Tuna for $4 plus one fish taco $2 and an Augusta roll as well. The rolls were nothing super exciting or memorable. Flavour was okay but I've had better and I've had worse. Excellent value though! The fish taco however was outstanding! I'd definitely come back to order more. The restaurant is a bit of an interesting mix of sushi (Far East) plus tacos (Southwest). For dessert I had the bread pudding which was okay not great not bad. Where my experience was great was I had awesome conversation with one of the sushi chefs. He shared some inside local area knowledge and was very friendly with not being too overbearing. It really made for a nice dining experience even if the sushi wasn't my favourite. Overall with all things considered it's a 3.5/5 for me. Some go up some go down

Now this review is purely based on my lunch experience. Has nothing to do with the nightlife or dinner experience. Also, I may periodically repeat so review may change based on experiences. I will use a sliding scale and median score to breakdown my experience based off my years in the industry. Hope you enjoy the read. Ambiance 4 stars-excellent lighting. Nice little decor package. Music was ambient so you could talk to your friends. From the outside this place is like doctor who's tardis. Bigger on the inside than it appears from the outside. Cleanliness 4 stars-excellent shape considering how busy they were. Bathrooms were in excellent shape as well. Bar 3.5 stars. Pretty good selection of liquor, beers and custom drinks. Only detractor was seeing soufflé cups over the nozzles of liqueurs. Usually a sign of a fruit fly problem. Food selection 4 stars. More than ample selection for lunch or dinner. Not in the mood for sushi? Well there is selections for people who was something else. Sushi Rolls. 4 stars-I wish I had time to break them all down as they all deserve individualized critique. Their use of fusion and playful flavors is refreshing. Between myself and people I dined with. Each roll that we had was just as equally tasty and well prepared as the last. Kudos sushi maestro. Hospitality 4 stars-My server was great. Not only was she knowledgeable about the vast array of food but adult beverage pairings. She was attentive and friendly. Great Gal! Check this out people. You won't be disappointed.

In a word: overrated. The majority of the restaurants downtown get mad hype simply because they get so many customers (tourists and whatevers) with undiscerning taste buds. Takosushi isn't bad by any means. Service was good and food was decent. But very overly-Americanized. Too many rolls were fried and for the price it isn't worth it. I'd recommend sakura or sushihana for a more authentic experience.

I was pumped to find this gem recently while walking downtown. My husband and I have been trying to branch out to new restaurants and downtown greenville is full of them!! I called on a Saturday afternoon to make a reservation for our party of 8 and they had no problem accommodating. When we arrived it was decently busy but be cognoscente of how many people you bring in the front door because there is no waiting area. When I walked in I thought I had actually come in the wrong door. There is also no host or host stand for anyone to greet you. The restaurant is actually quite small which I assume is the reason for no hostess stand. There is a long sushi bar and maybe 20 tables. Once our party was seated in the back, we all ordered a drink. Their martini list looked great and I settled for a Cosmo. It was delicious but did verge on the sweeter side, but I loved it. So the whole concept of this place is Mexican food meets sushi. They have a ton of selections from both sides. The nice thing is you can mix it up and order one taco and a sushi roll. I had a sushi roll and a cucumber salad. The roll was delicious and I wish I had ordered more! The cucumber salad was also great and tasted really fresh. Not like the cucumbers has been sitting out too long. One bad thing is the food is not synced up. So if you have someone ordering off the Mexican side of the menu and someone ordering off the sushi side, they are not getting there at the same time. Overall there are a few bumps in the road with this place, but the food and service are great.

Wow! Amazing experience & wonderful food. 5 stars on service alone. Although Greenville's food has been wonderful service has not. It was great to eat somewhere with exceptional service. I was there this past Monday night with friends & Brianna was the greatest server. She made recommendations, explained any questions we had - suggested what not to get, refilled our waters regularly ( major points for this!) and was so friendly & kind! The food itself was really good quality, which you might not expect from a place that offers both Mexican & Japanese food. It's perfect for when people are craving different things but want to eat together. One of my friends got Mexican & two of us got sushi. $20 for a bento box which includes miso soup, salad, a roll (any on the menu!) and a TON of sashimi & sushi pieces. Everything tasted fresh & delicious. Great place.

All the appetizers was great. My wife ordered the steak tacos and we have had better. The beans was not well seasoned, the rice was too dry, but the steak was great. The tako burger was okay. Try it with the egg on top.

I thought this was just a sushi place but a combo with Mexican flair which was an interesting combo. Had the guacamole and chips to start with a couple a sushi rolls and it was most excellent. The best part is they had Duvel beer. Belgian beer is my weakness and it was perfect pairing with the meal. A must go to in Greenville.

  • Ron S.

Solid food and great service. Fantastic fresh fish! The only down side on the sushi was that they were a little heavy on the spicy mayonnaise and it really wasn't all that spicy. I would definitely go back as I hear the fish tacos are excellent... and I just love me some fish tacos.

Love this place Asian Tex Mex fusion. Every one is happy good beer wine list. Wait staff is super friendly and funny. Get off the couch and get downtown we will save you a seat.

I wanted to like it. I'd heard great things about their happy hour (which ends at 6pm instead of 7pm like other places). Had four sushi rolls, spicy tuna, rock & roll, the hawiian and a specialty one called 'the spaceship'. I'm giving two stars because our appetizer was great (had queso dip and chips) and our bartender/server was great. The sushi was horrible I'm afraid to say. Two of them were drenched in teriyaki sauce, to the point that it hurt your stomach, just overwhelming sweetness. It would have been much better had they just 'glazed' it and used sparingly like the description said, but it was drenched through. The other two were just so spicy that it wasn't enjoyable. You could just taste that something was off, I'm guessing the ingredients aren't as fresh as other places. Texture/taste was not up to par as my other 'go to' places and it just felt like they tried to cover that up with something really really spicy. Since the queso was good I'm guessing maybe their southwestern food is better? Will try if I ever end up there again but won't rush to do so.

Our server Maria was wonderful with detailed explanation of dishes and gave great recommendations. I had the bagel sushi roll. Great choice with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and ginger! Maria gave us dipping bowls for soy I chose the low sodium soy very tasty. Of course the traditional wasaby to heat things up a bit! I also got a fantastic seaweed salad over cucumbers big enough to share with your honey. We are already taking about a return visit to try another dish

Hands down best sushi in Greenville. They also have a really good queso dip and chips and don't forget to get some drinks best cocktails also. I always take my family and friends when they are in town they have a great atmosphere.

The ambience is what I would expect from one of the many trendy restaurants downtown. It's an interesting mix of Mexican and Japanese. I wouldn't necessarily call this a fusion restaurant because they don't actually fuse the two cultures in their dishes. Rather, the menu consists of either Mexican entrees or Japanese ones. I don't know if it was because they were busier than expected but the three waitresses were running around a good bit which meant we didn't get good service at all. That being said, when our waitress did attend to us she was very nice. I ordered the Bento Box with the Dynamite Rolls. The cucumber salad that came with it was pretty plain with nothing special going on. The miso soup however was better than average. It took a while for the food to come out but the Bento Box was worth the wait. It came with a lot of the Dynamite Rolls. They had a great flavor of spicy tuna, tilapia, and asparagus pan fried with a sweet garlic sauce and had a lightly tempura-like crispiness on the outside of the roll. It was nothing short of amazing. Not too spicy with a nice sweet crispy flavor. The sushi and sashimi were fresh, but there's not much more to say about that. My guest had the pan-seared tilapia burrito. It was a good size for lunch and was COVERED with cheese, which I personally enjoy. The beans were also good with a bunch of cheese on top of them too. Both meals were very filling and priced about average for restaurants in the area. I would recommend this place for families as well. There were a lot of children during lunch today. The service was the really the only negative of the meal.

Great food and great service. Outdoor dining is nice. The daily special is always a good choice if you're having trouble making a selection off the incredibly extensive menu!

I do love this place and was not disappointed today either. When we first visited, we thought it was a fusion place which its not. So if your looking for this...look elsewhere. They just have two different menus is all. But its great. We usually order the taco plates and change up the protein based on the mood. The verde pork is my fav and the fried egg on top of the beans is a must. Today we ordered 2 sushi rolls, some seared tuna, and guac to start. Staff is always friendly, food comes out quickly at the proper temp, and always been good. My only complaint is along with new menus came higher prices.

I went for lunch and had blackened salmon. It was excellent and came with a small salad, rice, beans, and mixed vegetables. It was more than I could eat. Great value for the $. I work nearby and will go again. I'm looking forward to trying the sushi. The service was fast and the staff were very attentive and pleasant!

This is the best sushi in downtown Greenville by far! Little hole in the wall spot with excellent service, great cuts of tasty fish and super fresh! HIGHLY recommend this place over that awful Sushi Murasaki place on the corner.... (yuck!)

Hubs and I stopped in here after raiding Mast General wanting a light, early dinner. We sat at the bar; bartender provided excellent service on her own and was very friendly. I ordered Unagi Don, which I can never pass up, he ventured to try some tempura battered shrimp, which was actually very tasty. My eel was very tender and flavorful. My only complaint? The rice. I expected sushi rice or plain old white rice, but we both had what seemed like parboiled textured rice (i.e. Minute Rice) with our food. I'd give it another chance...maybe there was a rice cooker meltdown that day?

  • brice b.

Not good at all. Service was so strange its tough to explain. The food was even more strange. The edamame was so uncooked and not ripe that is tasted like eating tree leaves. My son ordered a nacho thing with tilapia on it and the fish was disgusting, it tasted like chemicals. Not a fan and won't be back any time soon.

Wonderful dinner! Excellent staff, AMAZING food. We ate sushi-which I would duplicate each of our meals without question, but the Mexican options looked delicious too, so we will be back to try more options! Great little find in the fun down town area of Greenville!

I frequent the Takosushi in Columbia so I was very excited to try their Greenville counterpart before a concert I had come to town for with my friends. I called and made a reservation 2 days in advance. When we arrived they had written our reservations down for the wrong time. It was a super busy night and they could not accommodate us. I was super disappointed and a little frustrated. The hostess was rude and did not seem to want to correct the situation so we took our business elsewhere.

They have delicious fish tacos! Every happy hour, their fish tacos are only $2! They have sake there as well, so you can get your drink on as well!

So it's been almost 4 years since my first review at Takosushi, but I ate here last night and feel obligated to update my review. I had been craving a salad and read online that the mixed green salad was a larger version of their small side salad, which I recalled was really good with Ginger vinaigrette. The catch was that it was $17, but it comes with your choice of meat so I figured I would go out on a limb and give it a chance. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I feel like at $17 for a mixed green salad, they should be pretty high. Anyway, it was kind of a let down, definitely not worth the price. It had a good mix of vegetables and the dressing was good, but nothing special. In the future I'll stick with the over priced sushi...

Mexican Sushi joint on Main Street. Very casual vibe that gets a young crowd or parents with kids. Everyone seems in a good mood. The sushi is mexican quality sushi and what you would expect. Not too bad but not inspired. I would have given them a solid '3' but the service was so slow....... And, we watched our food sit on top the sushi counter for 10 minutes before our waitress brought it to us (about 30 seconds before we just grab it ourselves. No idea where she was in the little establishment but we watch a hostess, multiple wait staff and what looked like a manager walk up to our food, look at the ticket and seeing it wasn't for their table, let it sit there. Kind of creeped us out after it sat there for so long under the lights. Couldn't see an reason why I would go back to this place.

Takosushi is great. The food is tasty and the staff is attentive and friendly. We always leave happy. We usually get sushi but we've ordered Mexican occasionally as well. It can get crowded so if you don't want to wait, go early.

Sushi tastes similar to sushi like home in Texas. I've been searching for a sushi place for a couple of years and it's about time I came across to this place. I would definitely come back!

    (4)
  • Lisa P.

When I went their the place is already crowded and filled. So we had to wait a while before being seated. They have a good selection of items on the menu. I ordered sushi which are huge and made perfectly. I will return.

Friday evening happy hour 4-6pm features a small appetizer menu with even smaller prices. Four of us had 3 orders of california roll, two orders of tempura asparagus (not on the happy hour menu), a spicy tuna roll, three tacos (1 fish, 1 chicken, 1 beef), a half dozen beers (Dos Equis), some edamame, a couple bowls of Miso soup, and a flat diet coke. Total bill was about $62. Everything was good; food, service, and atmosphere.

Great stuff on both sides of the menu. And excellent music (alternative).

I was never a fan of sushi before moving to Greenville, but this is by far now our favorite restaurant here. The wait staff is friendly and efficient, the vibe is very cool, and the sushi chef, Norman, is a sushi artist! My husband is a big fan of raw and I'm not, but there are so many steamed or fried versions of sushi to choose from that I'm never bored with the choices. I especially recommend the lobster roll, or KC roll if you like vegetarian. Everything is fresh and so unique, and portions are large. There is also a good selection of southwestern-style dishes and appetizers if you'd rather not go the sushi route.

Open your mind... Imagine a world where all things: tuna rolls and tamales; miso and margaritas; even carne adovada and california rolls; can coexist, in perfect harmony, on the same dinner table. This is the world of Takosushi. Gone are the days where the following pre-dinner spousal conversation has to end in grudging compromise: Spouse 1: "What are you in the mood for? I was thinking something light, like sushi." Spouse 2: "I'm craving something smothered in cheese." Now everyone can be happy...at least until dinner conversation turns to whether or not to keep that ratty old barcalounger in the living room...

Initially, I wasn't sure what to think about a sushi/Mexican restaurant. It is a strange combo to see Mexican food on one side of the menu and then sushi on the other side of the menu. As odd as that was, we still ate here. We started off with Miso soup. It was ok. Then we had Lobster Roll that was deep fried. It was ok as well. Unfortunately, I didn't taste any lobster, just the breading/panko. Then we ordered a bento box that could have fed 3-4 ppl. This bento box consisted of a California roll, tailapia sashimi (we passed on it), salmon sashimi (5 pieces), tuna sashimi (5 pieces), and white tuna (5 pieces). In addition to that we had nigiri, 2 pieces each of the white tuna, salmon, and tuna. Lots of food. Decent price.

This is a fun little restaurant! The mexican/sushi combination might be a turn-off for some people, but I thought it was neat. I came here with a big group, and the service was pretty good. I ended up having sushi, and while it wasn't best sushi I've had in my life, it would be worth having again. I also tried a bit of someone else's taco and it was pretty delicious. Definitely a good idea if you're going out with a group that has a case of indecision.

What a dissapointment :( Takosushi was on my list of places to visit for awhile. I'd heard mixed reviews, but still thought I would like it. I went on a Tuesday, just before 5. I guess the dinner staff wasn't quite ready to begin work yet... We were the first table, it took our server forever to come over. She wasn't actively rude, but the service sucked all around. My friend & I each ordered 2 tacos, from the happy hour menu. We waited probably 20 minutes. Really? For tacos? Then they were bad! I don't ask for much out of a taco, but I'll never eat these again Actually I'll never to to Takosushi again. 2 thumbs down

Hey! Whatsup? Takosushi is assey. Sushi does not include mayonnaise!!! Forgive me for broadly generalizing entire cultures, but Asian food does not use dairy products!!!!! I should know because I am a LaPerm. That's French. You're not. I am more multicultural than you. This review is not just for Takosushi but for every freakin' sushi restaurant in South Carolina I've been to so far!! Tuna should be whole, not pureed!! Rolls should never have any mayo, ever!!! Spicy means wasabi, not chili powder!! If you've never eaten sushi anywhere else in your life, you'll like this. Or, if you're like my bigs, and are just desperate for a place to find likker drinks on a Sunday afternoon, you'll like it. If you like hanging out at a bar chatting up bipolar transmen of color, you'll like Takosushi. (Actually, now I'm starting to like it more) But if you like fresh, spicy, unadulterated sushi --- I guess you just have to go to another city or something. Thank you I know.

It was a cold, cold night in downtown Greenville. My beau and I were traipsing around, no idea where to go or what to eat and when the frigid air had made it's way straight to our bones, we ducked into Takosushi. It wasn't until I looked at the menu and noticed that one of the appetizers was chips and guacamole. (I know, I know. At this point you're thinking, "The name of the restaurant has the word taco in it, albeit misspelled." Forgive me, I had frozen brain.) "What an interesting starter for a sushi restaurant," I mentioned to Brandon. There was two sides to the menu! One mexican, one sushi. We went for the sushi-side. Potstickers = pretty darn good, California roll = typical California roll/pretty tasty, Yasai roll = looked kinda weird, tasted delicious, Firecracker roll = I could have eaten about 4 of these by myself, SO GOOD. Our server was sweet, service was decently paced and I like the ambiance. We were there around 8:00pm Saturday night and it was full but not packed. I will definitely recommend this place to friends, and all of you yelpers, of course!

Great sushi rolls! The Crazy and Volcano rolls were amazing. Wish they had a better draft beer selection but not going to be that picky. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The only reason it was not a 5 was the atmosphere. The seating was very close and felt we were having dinner with them.

Loved the atmosphere as well as the menu offerings. Sushi prepared in front of you and burritos prepared in back of house. Been there a few times now and have never left disappointed.

We went when it was very empty. Service was good and the food came out quick. We ordered 3 sushi rolls. All of them were great especially the firecracker roll. I would definitely recommend that sushi roll! Looking forward to returning to this restaurant.

I was crazy skeptical whenever I first tried TakoSushi. With a name like TacoSushi I thought "for real". I had visions of sushi rolls in taco shells. Surprisingly this place is good. I got their "happy hour" special of a chicken Quesadilla, on my first visit and have later try the sushi is well. While I eat I get to talk to the sushi chef, this is an added plus for me. The staff is nice and helpful. I enjoyed it and would recommend it.

In addition to the great sushi, don't forget the great New Mexico style Southwestern food. The burritos are the best in Greenville and the posole is top notch. I'll admit I'm biased, having been a regular before moving to Atlanta, but I still stop in whenever I'm driving through G'vegas.

Man the 'rentals and in-laws raved about this place. I didn't have the heart to say I thought the tacos were mediocre at best. I'd only go back if on someone elses tab. Ingredients seemed fresh and well presented but thats about it.

every time someone mentions takosushi, my mouth salivates of their baja nachos. trust me... try their baja - something... tacos, nachos, etc. i promise it's super delicious. i didn't really enjoy the sushi that much. i was little disappointed. i'll stick to my tsunami's for sushi, but definitely come back here for the baja nachos. YUM!!!!

Great food, loved the location & ambience. My favorite is the Tempura Fried Baha Fish mixed with spicy slaw and Chile Aioli. I order this every time, because I know it's that good! Service is great as well.

I was dubious but tried it anyway. Was really happy I did. Had a nori salad with salmon, white and red tuna all lightly seared with a ponzu sauce. Fish was very spicy and slighty seared. The result was nothing traditional but fantastic. Will return for another go before leaving town.

Should have known better as soon as I noticed the bathroom was out of order. The sushi was okay I had the bento box for one. I had just about finished when I started to watch the sushi chefs both wearing gloves consistently wiping their noses on their wrists. To top it all off the older of the pair grabbed a container and started busing tables never leaving my site he went back to the kitchen dropped off the dirty dishes came back scratched his nose and went right back to making sushi without changing gloves. I'm Left sitting in my hotel room debating if I should resist the urge to throw up.

Been here twice. The service is HORRIBLE. I resorted to ordering 2 beers at a time and it still wasn't enough. Also, someone I was with was allergic to cucumber, asked for no cucumber, got cucumber anyway. The food isn't that great in general. I'm not sure why we gave this place a second try.

We lucked into this Main St. restaurant for lunch a few years ago and were astounded to find a chili relleno on the menu. It was incredible, maybe the best we had ever eaten. As a result we frequent this restaurant as often as we crave the best Mexican/Southwest in this part of the country. We even took our CA kids there when they visited and these very discriminating young adults were more than pleased with their food and insisted on returning on their next visit. We are not sushi lovers but we see lots of the customers cleaning their sushi plates. Lots of good restaurant choices in downtown Greenville but don't miss this one. It;s small and can get crowded at times but impatience is not a virtue.

The food at Takosushi is really good. It's fresh and has great flavor. That being said, everything else about this establishment is mediocre at best. I have eaten here several times with groups ranging from two people to ten and every time we go we have a problem. First, service is slow. A friend of mine actually ordered his beer in twos because he wasn't able to get the wait staff's attention often enough to make sure he had a drink. If you don't know what you want when they come to take your drink order, you will probably have to wait 20 minutes for them to come back to take your food order. Also, if you have food allergies, be warned. My husband is allergic to cucumbers. We both enjoy sushi, so we make it exceptionally clear to servers to please leave all cucumber out of our rolls. Every time we have eaten here and ordered sushi, however, we get at least one roll with cucumber left in. Luckily, he usually only eats one piece, which doesn't cause much damage, but the last time they left it in, he got a huge chunk and ended up getting sick. When I pointed out the mistake to the waitress, she took the roll away, but still charged us for it and no one ever apologized or offered to replace the roll. There were five people at our table who all heard us ask for no cucumbers several times. They are making the rolls on-site, so I wouldn't think it would be that difficult to leave out a particular ingredient. Finally, the bathrooms can present a bit of a problem. They are each one-seaters. If someone else is in there, you may be waiting a while. On Friday and Saturday night, when the restaurant is packed, it can be a little ridiculous. Overall, I recommend trying this place once. Maybe you will have better experiences. We, however, have decided not to eat here any more. We will go to Tsunami for sushi - it's right down the street.
