The food is average. I've had much much better, however it's a great fix for your craving.

Show this place some love......I eat there quite a bit because I am a huge fan of Mexican fare, I have always enjoyed the choices I have made here. Their fish tacos are authentic, the chicken soup is REALLY good and their stuffed Poblano Peppers are delish! They have lunch specials, and the dinner prices are great too. They have a full bar and I always enjoy the service when I go there.

Señor salsa's menu consists of standard Mexican fare, so no Tex-Mex here. Compared to other restaurants their menu is a little cluttered, which can make ordering a little intimidating. However, everything that I've ordered has been very good. Once seated, they'll bring you a mild variety and a spicy variety of salsa. The service is very good: the wait staff are friendly and attentive.

The food tasted good and the prices are fair. We ordered take out and the girl who helped me at the counter was helpful and friendly. We'll be back!

Really good chips and salsa. Everything is tasty and comes out quickly. It's just your good ol' hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Nothing fancy but always reliable for a good meal.

Restaurant is extremely fast and this is that is quite friendly. I found the food to be competitively priced and their lunch specials are great. The food was good, but far from great. Quick and easy is what it is, if your looking for great Mexican food, it might not be the place.

Very average. The fajita steak meat and soft chicken taco were not good. I will not eat here again.

Went here with a group of friends a few night ago and got good service and the food was pretty good, my friend got the super chicken quesadilla and said it was the best he ever had. I still prefer Chipotle for a hearty cheap "Mexican" meal, but you don't get waited on there, which is fine with me!

Gonna keep this simple. 1. The good. They include chips and salsa with your meal when you order. 2. The waitress saw I finished them and brought out more while I was eating my meal. The bad. The sign mentioned drink specials, when I asked the waitress she said they were for happy hour. The ground beef tacos, I ordered had a steady stream of grease pouring out of them. It was a disgusting orange pool of slime left on my plate. The ugly. The taco shells were a day past stale. If you can't get corn tortilla tacos right, why bother selling "Mexican food" Place is a skip. Staff and price is right, food is a why bother.

I've struggled with whether or not to write this review since I really don't want to write a negative review that may impact the livelihood of a family business. That said, I'm going to provide what I hope is a fair and balanced report. My family has eaten at Senor Salsa's probably 15 times (over 5 months) and had a top notch experience 14 of those times. The service those first 14 times was amazing. The servers are very attentive and the owner often comes by to make sure we are having a good meal. The food is very delicious, no frills but authentic mexican food on par with many of my favorite haunts back in phoenix where we recently moved from. Our last experience unfortunately changed my perception. We brought my visiting in-laws to our favorite mexican restaurant and my mother in law ordered fajitas. Upon lifting her fork, she found a huge clump of hair embedded in the meat. When I say clump, I mean a tangled coagulation of hair and meat. The entire staff was very apologetic and attentive, but what happened next was dissapointing. Instead of comping the whole meal, they only reduced our bill by 50%. Given the volume of hair and how skeeved out we were, i would have expected a full comp. If I were Senor Salsa, I would have gone so far as to throw in a gift certificate in the hopes that we would come back (industry standard right?) In the spirit of being fair and balanced, the staff explained that it was impossible this error was theirs given their quality controls. They said it must have come fom their meat supplier with said clump (although the hair was visible - thankfully) And so what WAS a loyal repeat family customer has found it really hard to return. Adios, Senor.

If at all cost avoid this place like the plague. I've ate here twice and it's just a moot Mexican place. Nothing fancy about this place especially if the food was mediocre at best. Service was great hence the one star.

The service is good the atmosphere is good but on the other hand the food & margaritas are not so good. I won't recommend this place to anyone.

I made the mistake (?) of visiting this spot with a group of colleagues, one of whom had a deep passion for fine tequila. Of course he wanted nothing more than to share his appreciation of this potent liquor with his companions. Somewhere between the fourth and fifth shot of Patron, washed down by ice cold Dos Equis, our food arrived. I had ordered the fish Veracruz. I believe it was good because I don't have any memories of it being bad. What I do remember is the gracious and accommodating owner and a lot of laughs.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
