I think I just might be the only person who does not like this place. After hearing rave reviews from friends I headed there after going to the Saturday market. The menu is extensive, I will give them that. But I found the service very lacking. As a first-time customer I had questions, the staff rolled their eyes as if to say, "seriously". So many other Greek type choices in the area which are more authentic.

I've only eaten their food once, and it was a carry-out, but it exceeded my expectations by quite a bit. Very good. A business I was meeting with pre-ordered Pita Pit for our meeting. My turkey on wheat was really tasty. Their "Secret Sauce" is great, just a bit spicy, and not too heavy. It came on the side, so I was able to just drip a bit on as I ate. The pita itself was thin and soft, and very fresh. The sandwich was well wrapped so even as a carry out, it stayed together. I loved it and look forward to trying more here.

I really enjoyed the food. I work in downtown Greenville so I also loved that I could order online AND leave the tip online. VERY convenient!

This place was great because they offered healthy options late at night! The location is right downtown (+) and the staff was kind. Pricing was what you would expect; for under $10 you get enough food.

Always love the Pita Pit! Never fails. Great fast food that's not greasy horrible nastiness. My go-to wrap is the Chicken Souvlaki. Very delicious. The thing about this location is the staff. They are awesome. Very fast and productive. They know what they're doing. I visit on a regular basis.

Today, I decided I would make my first visit to Pita Pit. It was around 4 or 5 PM so my friends and I needed to get dinner before waking over to the Bi-Lo center for a concert. I always go to Greenville on the weekends but never had gone to here before. The ordering process was very easy and quick. I decided to get the Buffalo chicken on wheat pita bread. I got extra Buffalo sauce on the pita bread and also got spinach, black olives, red onions, hummus, tzatziki sauce, alfalfa sprouts, provolone cheese, and black beans. We ended up eating in the restaurant to utilize the Coca Cola freestyle machine even though I asked for my meal to go. It was absolutely delicious. 5/5 stars for flavor. Service was nice and convenient 5/5 and location was very convenient 5/5. Very clean restaurant and nicely decorated. fully deserving of the 5 stars awarded. Will be a staple from now on when I visit on the weekend.

Mm love pita pit. This location is right on Main Street and they are open late on weekends! The chicken souvlaki is the best.

Love pita pit. One pita wrap is very filling (I've gotten falafel and the chicken souvlaki) and you can get as much in it as you'd like for a set price. For falafel/chicken it's right around $6 which is awesome for something so filling. Calorie/fat count is not bad at all. Very fast service. I will say that I prefer chicken to falafel as falafel can be a little dry, but not worth taking off a star- still very tasty. definitely don't miss the tzatziki sauce; very refreshing.

Food is ok, but can be way better. The pita bread is not up to the mark. Ambiance is pathetic, and so is service. I guess that is because it is more of a to-go place.

Tolerable food, horrible delivery service. I've tried this place three times and each time is a major disappointment. Each time I would place an order online they would give me an estimate on when it should get there (ie placed and order at 12 the website would tell me it would get there at 12:26) However EVERY time my order would come 30-45 mins AFTER the estimated time it should have arrived (mind you it takes less than 5mins to get from pita pit to my delivery address). When I finally receive my orders, either my chips were missing or the lettuce was turning brown, or the special instructions weren't followed or the delivery girls were rude. I'm sure this place is ok to eat when you are able to leave your office for lunch and can go inside to place your order but their online service needs to be improved vastly.

I wish the management was a good as the food! I ordered a pita one day, and the delivery guy was out sick so they couldn't deliver it. I asked for a refund, and I still have not received it! I called to ask about it, and was assured that I would get my refund. Hasn't happened. I tried to email corporate, but the website is so messed up that my email couldn't be submitted. Get it together Pita Pit. However, if you MUST go, I recommend the spicy black bean pita cause it was huge and pretty good. *update* I finally got my refund... 3 weeks later.

Pretty good pita. Average service. I got the prime rib, and it's pretty good. They're fast, so it's good if you're downtown and need something in a jiffy.

While we didn't actually start out planning on going to the Pita Pit, this is where our GPS carried us to. Soo we figured why not, walk around down down G'ville for a bit and grab a quick bite. Upon entering we were warmly greeted by the guys behind the counter. Asked if we had ever been to a PP before and since we hadn't he took the time to explain it all to us. Which was really great. A very friendly, social guy for sure. Once looking over the menu we were really in the mood for Gyros so yup that's what we got. Very basic, nothing fancy but it's what we were looking for and exactly what we got. Was the Gyros as good at those little Greek locations you find?? well no of course not but for a "gotta have a gyro fix" it did the job. We did like the fact they had a few stools and counters facing out their windows so we were able to enjoy our lunch while doing a bit of people watching. One of our favorite past times. So while if you're a Gyro snob this place won't give you the fix you are looking for. It's a great location, clean environment, friendly staff and prices are average.

I discovered Pita Pit out West and was so happy that there is one in Greenville! I usually stick to the veggie pita which is mighty tasty. The set up is kind of like Subway in that they make the pita in front of you and you can choose from a variety of toppings and sauces. The staff I've interacted with is mostly very friendly and helpful. It can get busy, but I think it's worth the wait as one of the healthier restaurants out there. If you're looking for a new caterer for a small group, I would definitely give them a try. The menus are pretty detailed and everyone can pre-order exactly what they want. My employer did this the first time I ever had Pita Pit and it was both convenient and tasty.

solid lunch option for downtown foot traffic. healthy, fresh veggies, tasty flavorful meat options, or go vegan. great staff, efficient and approachable. again, good quality food, and fast. suggest the whole wheat pita, marinated chicken breast, your choice of veggies, hummas, ta-zee-key, and acho chipotle sauce.

I've been to the Pita Pit before and have always liked it. BUT, yesterday I was paying a little more attention, and I noticed that vegetarians need to beware! The staff person wore gloves and touched meat to put on the grill, then he continued to make sandwiches at the veggie counter while wearing the "used" gloves. So, he put his hands into every item at that counter--cheese, veggies, etc.--while wearing the gloves that he had worn to handle meat. So every item at the veggie counter now has the "yuck" factor. I would not eat there again...unless staff is trained re. cross-contamination and what being"vegetarian" means. Clean gloves, please! Also, unless you specifically ask for "vegetarian" falafel, it will be cooked on the grill in the same juices as the meat next to it. The staff person last night didn't know that vegetarian falafel is taken to the back room and microwaved to keep it vegetarian. Some re-training of the staff is really needed.
